HAPPY BIRTHDAY JO'S ED

DanaMo said...

Yes, Monte was the 19th (Thursday), my dad the 17th, but we always celebrate the birthday's once a month so we are doing them today.

Lolly said...

Clipped coupons from today's paper. LOL I clip coupons and then do not take time to look for them when I go to the grossery store.

Now time to mop the tile floors.

Wind had now picked up so no raking and burning of leaves today. I would like to go out as it is up to 72 now.

hedgie said...

Thanks, DMo--I was close!
Hope your party was fun!!!

magpie said...

Lynn
It was Jo with the suggestion about letting the trash...go.....
and I second that suggestion !!

Just....well, wait....if you can

Beautiful prayer from Jim, Thanks JO for posting...

Lolly said...

I read where Kelly Clarkson is going to sing the Natl. Anthem at the Super Bowl. Hope she sings it the way it is supposed to be sung.

Jo's Ed's is Monday

Thanks for all the other clarifications, DanaMo...

My brother Prairie Dog John turned 63 on Jan 18

Big Birthday month we got going here.. ☺

magpie said...

remember how last year we had a "total new fluffy nest" added on the top of the snow that was on top of the already-developing nest fluffy area?

goofy sentence, hope it makes sense

nest starting to look like that now...

HI Lolly

Me Too ! I'd like to see/hear Meatloaf sing it !!

Hey, did you see, post card postage goes up 3-cents starting Monday ?

magpie said...

hope her clothes don't fall off either

hedgie said...

It's doing that fine drizzle snow here now.....ugh. Boots on, phone in coat pocket.....out I go.

DanaMo said...

I missed that last year Margy. Or it doesn't stand out in my mind. Then again I just have a bad memory!

Lolly said...

Yes, saw that Margy. Guess I will have to buy some additional stamps to go with the post card stamps that I have.

Lolly said...

I never did mail Christmas cards or a letter. I was so rushed for time and when I finally decided to let it slip, I had a great sence of relief. LOL Had thought about mailing out a few letters now, but boy is it getting expensive!

hedgie said...

Mission accomplished! Whew---it's cold out there.

hedgie said...

Game is tied, 10-10.

stronghunter said...

Still cannot get the live cam. Have tried and tried. Noticed that some on OC are having problems, too.

stronghunter said...

Well, this time it worked. I got the cam. Must have tried 6-8 times.

I remember the layer of nesting materials over the snow last year.

stronghunter said...

Think I might leave it on for now.

hedgie said...

I would leave it up, Shirley, after going through all of that!!

Linda said...

Good Afternoong!

Great News on Jewel's cubbies!! They sound so cute...and yes, they are quite noisy!! Just precious!!

Prayers for Nila, Sharon. So sad. Praying that God will give her mercy, grace and strength through the coming days.....

Margy - Didn't get back yesterday to post how thrilled I was to hear Fred was getting transferred to a regular room. He is surely making progress. Will continue to pray for him.

Busy day for me yesterday with lots of new work to do. I worked till pretty late last night!

Today was church and taking a bit of time off to watch the game......and back to church again in a while!!

Linda said...

I wish we could see those cubs better.....

Lolly said...

We will get the see the cubbies but right now she is keeping them nice and warm. Jewel is catching up on her sleep. She was so uncomfortable for the last week or so.

Glad you got your trash down to the road, Lynn. Now up to 73 here.

wvgal_dana said...

@Lolly When was Michael's and when was Laurel birthday?

Linda said...

Hear the woodpecker again, too!

Yes, Lolly! I am glad she can rest now and keep her babies warm!

Kay said...

Good and Happy Sunday Afternoon, Eagle Buds ! Thrilled for Jewel and loved the video, thank you, LYNN !

Great Nestcapades today and hope to be in on more within the next 30minutes or so !

MARGY, Seth and I were delighted with PHC, as always ! Leo was great, both musically and dramatically ! S'wonderful news about Fred and his room with a view ! Hope he'll begin to thrive on good food and fig newtons !

LORI, good on you and Kate--the church kitchen/boutique WANDA and GENE manage is a wonderful cause !

SHARON, what a blessing you are to Nila at this time. Praying for her comfort and time for her grand promotion draws near.

WANDA, you are justifiably proud--kudos to Jillian and her man !

GUELA, so good to have you back ! I'll always remember you as the 1st Momster to welcome me in February of 2011 !

DANAMO and LORI, my dil has one of those seasonal lamps and it does wonders for her winter blues.

Kay said...

Amazing sounds from Jewel's den ! Those cubs had no trouble figuring out out to use the milk taps !

LORI, about that black spot Shep sports. A few months back someone shared a video showing a bunch of eagles splashing in water. A couple of them had a black spot in that exact same place so I'm thinking it's a common place for the last black feather(s)to be. Mom Hornby is an old gal now and still has a black feather on the back of her head which has always made identification at that nest so easy.

Oops, Mama Jewel one of you babies needs some help !!!!

Jewels said...

Happy to know I had two cubs!!! That was painless! Haven't had a chance to play catch up here. How all is well!!!!

Kay said...

Sad day for Tucson, but I respect Gabby for her decision. Won't be surprised to see her rise to prominence in politics sometime in the future !

May Joe Paterno RIP. So sad that his 85 years on earth and some 65 years in football were sullied by recent decisions he made--or didn't make.

Hello all. I just happened to turn on the eagle cam to find one then two eagles in the nest. And of course Shep has his way with Belle. I just hate to see the snow. I was hoping this year would give them a better chance at a family.

Sandi said...

Have been watching the eagles and the Ravens! Shep did OK! @PAULA - as I tell my 8th graders, the sex is just the beginning!! Now we need to see Shep do all that other stuff that goes along with parenting!

paula eagleholic said...

Hello, Candy, lucky you to bring up the cam when you did

paula eagleholic said...

I saw that freezing rain advisory, and checked the radar, don't see any rain in sight.

carolinabeachmom said...

Hey Paula and all. I do get on a little now and then. James is on Facebook doing games and is hooked. I let him know that eagle season is upon us, and I want to be able to watch our nest some. He has to share. :)

Kay said...

Another good visit, even if it was brief ! Snow doesn't seem to bother eagles. They are a hardy lot !

Dinner time in Ohio. Prayers for all in need of healing, comfort and blessings !

Pat's score...23-20.....

Lolly said...

Candy, you really do need your very own puter! LOL Even when we are traveling we take two laptops. My name is Lolly and I am addicted to cams and my blog!

carolinabeachmom said...

Hey there Margie and Lynn. Finally got a good look at the two eagles in the nest, but wish it had no snow. Maybe Lolly could send up some of that 70 degree weather from Texas to keep the nest warm. :)

James just came in to tell me that in another 45 minutes, the road to Colington Harbour will be closed until 6am tomorrow. Road sunk with Irene, so they have to get it fixed.

Lolly said...

Sorry I disappeared. Playing with my new iphone and trying to figure it out. Jack just shakes his head at me. I can now send texts just by talking. I talk to my phone and it makes calls and texts. I can even do facetime calls. Oh, I do love technology!!!

carolinabeachmom said...

Lolly, I was really hoping for my own computer for Christmas, but got a Nokia 500 Cool Pix from my husband in stead. :( It is about to drive me nuts. I can never seem to get on any more.

Mornings at school, I turn it on the first thing, but can't get on the blog.

wvgal_dana said...

Hello Candy (:

How is your weather?

carolinabeachmom said...

I give you a lot of credit Lolly. All the technologies scare me. My camera still sits there without being touched from Christmas.

Lolly said...

LOL Candy, would love to send warm weather to the nest.

I remember teasing Deb when we had cold weather. When we had cold weather, I just knew Deb had left her freezer door open. Miss you, Deb!

carolinabeachmom said...

Hey there Dana. How is your weather out there; any snow where you are? We just had rain and the wind made it a little chilly. I hope all is well with you.

Lolly said...

So, how is this year going, Candy? Have some sweet kiddos?

carolinabeachmom said...

That is a cute one about Deb. Maybe we could have them put a heater under the nest. :)

Lolly said...

Dana, saw where you asked. Laurel was 39, Dec 4. Michael was 43 Jan 18. Just this last Wed!

carolinabeachmom said...

School has been ok, but we have a few hard core in there this year; kind of makes it hard to have a little fun with the learning. I am still there tho. Starting to wonder about retirement tho; if I only had a million dollars to retire on. :)

Lolly said...

And, Zacharooski has a 6th birthday coming up Feb. 1. Can not believe he is going to be 6!!
Ash and Michael are working hard to find the best school for him.

Lolly said...

Candy, I certainly do not have a million that I retired on. You just learn to do what you can. Also, expences are not what they used to be. I was just so tired before I retired, nice not to be so tired now. Health is important, more important than money!

carolinabeachmom said...

Do Belle and Shep come to the nest much during the day yet or is it just mornings and evenings?

Lolly said...

Sorry you have a few of those hard core little ones. They do change the classroom, definitely more exhausting, too!!

Lolly said...

They vary, Candy. There have been some days when they are there a lot. The last few days it's been morning and afternoons.

carolinabeachmom said...

Lolly, that sounds good to me. We have this one child that has one on one most of the day. When I have him, he is pulling and falling on the floor all the time; always blurting out in class or whenever. It takes a lot out of me. Then we have 2 that think the rules don't apply to them and are constantly ......... I still love being there with the children; keeps me young. I am wearing out tho. Is everyone still going to meet in April?

Lolly said...

Yes, a lot are going. We will not be there this year. Can not go every year. Also, we have two reunions to go to in April, so I have conficts.

Lolly said...

Oh, one on one...that is rough and then those that do not think the rules apply to them. Lovely! Been there done that and I never had a wonderful "Candy" in my room to assist. You are a blessing to your teacher.

DanaMo said...

You're right I don't see anything on the radar :(

carolinabeachmom said...

Lolly, I don't know how you keep going and going. You have really done some fabulous trips. You are always busy. I would just like to rest a day or two when I first retire.

Did get to see Josh and his wife a bit when I had to go to Duke different times. They are only an hour and a half from Durham, so we would stay there overnight. It was a big help.

carolinabeachmom said...

Has anyone heard from Chrissy Beham lately? How about Norma?

Lolly said...

I had a few high school helpers. They took a child developement class at high school and then came to the elementaries to help. Sometimes though they were like having another child in the room.

carolinabeachmom said...

Hope everyone's family is doing ok. Happy Birthday to Jo's Ed today.

carolinabeachmom said...

You have that right Lolly. We did also. Better to do it ourselves.

Lolly said...

We hear occasionally from Chrissy on email and facebook. She does not come to the blog.

Some call Norma once in a while. She is doing okay as I understand it and misses us. Not sure why she has not come back. I really miss her!!!!

Hoda said...

Thank you for the eagle reports.

I have to admit I held my breath when you said you were headed out there with the garbage...good you had your cell phone with you...VERY GLAD there were no problems...determined as you are I als o know you would be very careful and work on avoiding trouble...

They are clearing the roads now. Piles of snow everywhere...I can actually see the asphalt on two main roads...SHIRLEY you were right the temperatures went up for us today and the deep freeze seems to have passed...now to watch out again for Avalanche conditions...

Very good yoga practice and I did my groceries many vegetables on sale so I got some artichoke, some kale, some broccoli, some cauliflower, and some carrots...yum yum yum it is going to be a good week food wise.I also got a salmon...looking forward to baking it.

I need a cup of tea so I will go prepare one...

Hi, Candy. GOod to see you. Hello to Jim, too. Sorry he is hogging the puter!!
Are you coming up in April? Open House is the 21st.....of course, we'll also gather Fri. evening for those already in town.

Wow----did not realize that the road sank!!! Bet that nighttime work will disrupt a lot of sleep!

The Raven's just blew a chance to tie the game in the last seconds. New England heads for Superbowl. :(

carolinabeachmom said...

Well it has been good to be back on here again, even for a short while. Dinner is ready, and James is chomping on the bit to get on here, So....... I'll be lurking here and there. :) Love and hugs to all and may God send his blessings to each and everyone of you.

carolinabeachmom said...

Hey Lynn. Good to see you on. I have been keeping the 21st on my mind. Time will tell. I thing that is why James gave me the camera for Christmas; to get good pics of the birds, or whatever. Hope all is well with you and yours. Giants are on tonight.

The frizzle we've been having is too fine to show up on radar. Not doing anything right now.

Heading to the sofa to spread out a bit while my dinner settles! BBL.

wvgal_dana said...

Candy we started out with sleep yesterday then went to snow then back to sleet. Today some snow flurries. Next couple of days I think it will all melt.

Candy you need a "helper/child assistant" to work in that room with you now. Won't they get you one?

hedgie said...

Candy, there is a big scrapbooking convention that weekend, so you might want to go ahead and try to get your reservations---you can always cancel later if you can't come!!!!

Hubby and I did go down to Red Lobster &
enjoyed a really good meal for his 74th.

is like his father. All 3 other brothers have lost a lot of hair but hubby is just like his dad - full head of pure white thick hair up to the day he passed on... We miss him. Tomorrow is the real birth date but nowadays we celebrate as long as possible.

Lynn good thing you checked in after the trash was safely put out. What about the wood for the stove? Don't tell me if you did bring some in - no,
do tell me if you did that too! ♥

well, my jaw is back in place after several long minutes on the floor after that game. Sure feel bad for Billy Cundiff tonight.

Getting ready to eat supper. Then shower, then bed by 8:30 on the new schedule!

No precip falling here as of yet. Hoping it either warms up fast in the AM or it goes away. Not looking forward to us driving in the AM.

Don't we have someone in Nashville? Janet, maybe....? This is what I get for not being here enough. Severe weather predicted there for tonight.

In case I don't get back....Good night and Prayers for all1

Lolly said...

Hi and Bye, Lynne. We miss you! Yes, last nights weather said sever weather just east of us. We are hoping for rain in a few days. Pray!☺

Hi,

Need to voice some concerns.

Kathryn and Hunter just took off to visit friends.

Kathryn just got a phone call from Hunter's friend because he's worried about his mother. The parents are having marriage problems.

I expect her husband has left again. He keeps doing that.

Kathryn tried to get her to go to a separation and divorce workshop with her, but she is not ready yet.

Tough situation.

I just found the tape of Gabby Giffords announcing she is going to vacate her seat...what a strong and uplifting tape... God Bless her and God's Speed...SHe is an AMAZING example of how to be...Good on you GABBY...

Sandi said...

I was up way too early this morning, and, now that the Ravens game is over, I am fading fast. So, I'm headed for the bathtub, maybe a little TV, and then early to bed. The week coming up is going to be a very busy one! Here are my "random ramblings" before I sign-off for the night:

DMO, I hope that celebrating birthdays today helped with your winter blues! I bet one of your munchkins will do something tomorrow to make you laugh out loud and remind you why you keep doing what you do!

SHARON, bless you for being such a wonderful friend to Nila! You are giving her exactly what she needs right now!

WANDA, congrats to your granddaughter on her award. Wednesday is the big day for you, right? I'll be thinking of you and picturing you dancing soon!

JUDY, hope things work out for you at work!

LYNN, hope your treatments go smoothly this week! The previews for Kiefer Sutherland's new show look great - my DVR is set! Congrats on being a new grandma to 2 new grandbears!! =) (And JEWELS, congrats on the easy birth of those cubs!!)

SHIRLEY, tell Hunter I envy him the day off tomorrow! Nothing Kathryn can do for her friend except be a good listener and be ready to help her when she decides she's ready for help.

Continued prayers for baby Ava, for Tori, for Sharon's friend Nila, for Margy's brother Fred, and for Diann that she gets some relief from her back pain so she can stop sleeping in the recliner.

If your weather gets icy tonight/tomorrow, stay in if you can and stay safe if you can't! Goodnight all!

NatureNut said...

Good Evening!!Missed the very end of the Ravens. Was in car coming home from couple hours of work.Had radio on there, but couldn't find station in car.Did not know til home that they missed a field goal to tie! Oh Well!

Just checked those bears---sound is so adorable and quite different than the Hum we heard from Lily's cubs. This is definitely louder. (The chat is a hoot~~~males only give egg, cubs have no fur for 6 weeks??? Other day someone mentioned newborn size as a stick of butter???Are we in Pandaland?)

Enough of that~~gotta eat dinner, do the do before bedtime. AM rad. appt.(mammo)at hosp. Probably get a new "Fall Risk" bracelet---will try to save a few!! LOL

stronghunter said...

Good night Sandi,

I am sure Hunter will enjoy his day off.

And you are right. Kathryn can only listen and offer support. I am impressed that this young boy would reach out for help for his mom when he thinks she is overwhelmed. He and Hunter are close friends. Hunter wanted to go be with him.

stronghunter said...

Have to check that bear chat. Interesting.

Hoda said...

No offence intended but I just watched the chap who sang your National Anthem, THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER at the game between the Ravens and the Patriots... I do not know where they dug him up from, but they really should be a bit more choosey as to who gets to sing The Anthem...instead of HAil he said Ail!!! Good LORD, what a horrible voice and he can not carry a tune, so he screeches...as I said NO OFFENCE INTENDED to any one and certainly NOT to the anthem!!!

stronghunter said...

Hi Hoda,

Didn't hear the singing, as I didn't see the game. Kathryn and Hunter had brotch.ught home a couple of movies to wa

Hoda said...

SHIRLEY, I could post the link, but he was soooooo awful that I hate to spread his version of the song...some chap called Steve Tyler!!! AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!!

I am touched by the story of KATHRYN and HUNTER helping a friend and his Mom...

stronghunter said...

There are two sweet children, Lynn. They have stayed overnight here. The parents were supposed to have a night out together that time, but he took off and left her alone after they left the children here. Not cool.

stronghunter said...

Steven Tyler is one of the judges on American Idol. You would think he could do better.

JudyEddy said...

HODA have you ever heard of – Aerosmith Steve Tyler is the lead singer of it and one of the judges of the American Idol and yep he butchered the song big time

JudyEddy said...

I guess age has done in his voice he sucked big time

JudyEddy said...

Well one and all I am going to go back and watch Criminal Mind from the other nite catching up on thing I have missed BBL

Karne said...

Steven Tyler, 63 yr old member - ages ago- of the rock and roll band Aerosmith, was recently a judge on American Idol. IMHO, definitely not a role model. He will now join the National Anthem Singers Hall Of Shame.

stronghunter said...

Oh, you are right, Hoda. It was terrible. I am not a musician, but I know enough to know that was not good music. Wow.

stronghunter said...

Would not have made it to Hollywood with that one.

stronghunter said...

From what I hear, Tyler is not a role model.

Lolly said...

I am NOT a Steven Tyler fan. Did not care for the way he sang the Natl. Anthem however, I have heard even worse!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for Kelly Clarkson at the super bowl. Hope she represents our little town with pride!

Lolly said...

Have been watching Jewel's cam for weeks. Watched all day today so why do they now say I need Adobe Flash Player? Good grief!

Lolly said...

I think I will do another tray of slides. Not really cold but Jack has built a nice fire to chase away the chill.

stronghunter said...

Lordy, it is noisy at the bear den. Nursing sounds now. Definitely two separate babies nursing. At least two.

hedgie said...

No, Jo---I didn't move wood!!! Charlie will be here tomorrow or Tues. to do it!

Loretta---probably best that you didn't get the radio tuned in while you were driving...and sure hope that Lynne2's jaw is okay.
A real shame.
I just hope that the 49'ers beat the Giants (I am NOT watching!).

hedgie said...

Shirley, feeling so very sad for Hunter's little friend. So sweet that he is trying to help his Mom. I hope that Kat can spend a little alone time with him to let him know that he can always come to her, and to make sure that he knows how to call 911 if anything violent should occur.

hedgie said...

Hoda----LOL! I remarked right at the beginning of the game how BAD Tyler was! He was the lead singer of the famous band AEROSMITH!!!!!
He is now a judge on American Idol!

Hoda said...

Thank you all...I am glad you all agreed with my impression of his not doing a good job at all...I was worried of giving offence...

I think it is awesome to have the bear cam and the little cubs are adorable...

stronghunter said...

Well, the baby bears make better music than Steven Tyler.

stronghunter said...

Just put another log on the fire. Flash is sleeping in his favorite fireside spot. The poor guy got forgotten outdoors for awhile this evening. He did not come in when Luna did, and we forgot him. He depends on Luna to summon us to open the door. Eventually he gave a sad cry to remind us that he was out there and cold.

I do not know why he does not bark when he wants in, but he doesn't, so it is not the first time he has been forgotten out there.

Hoda said...

Thanks LYNN, I went back and found your entry. I should have known that you would not like what he did with the Anthem...thanks for the write up...based on what I heard I would say he should not quit his day job!!! BUT he does not have a day job...I feel badly for him after I read the post and remembered the singing...

Hoda said...

awwww poor FLASH!!! I am glad he is in now...

Lolly said...

Poor Flash! May have to report animal abuse. LOL

Updated Adobe and now have the cam back. Can not believe it quit while I was watching.

Off to do slides.

hedgie said...

THey've already announced a 2-hr. school delay here tomorrow....wonder what THAT means for me? Radiation said if schools were closed, they were closed.....and transport doesn't operate. ???? Carolyn said she will call as soon as she hears if they change to schools closed---then I wouldn't have to get up early.
But hate it if I miss tomorrow...that will extend me until 2/1 instead of 1/31. :(

hedgie said...

Lolly, you just never know when Adobe is going to pull that! ARGH!
I just shut the cam down as it had timed out. Liesl is making bedtime hints, so will be going to sofa now for her routine.

POOR FLASH!!!!!! Hope he warms up fast!

Well, Lynn...Fred was in San Francisco for many years so I would guess that would be his team...
his doctors said his wife can bring in some home-cooking...nothing too heavy, but the fig newtons in that bag have disappeared...- LOL - no sure who got them, but doubt if Fred was allowed to !

hedgie said...

Really raining in San Fran........and speaking of SF, wonder what good ol' Anne Marie is up to these days????

magpie said...

A late good evening to you all.

YES you DO have a Nashville person; ME! and the weather forcast stinks: pretty decent chance of severe weather tonight, we have a moderate risk of tornados, the larger F-2, F-3 ones. south and west of here, the risk is higher. it is just past 9 p.m. and 60 degrees...waaaayyyy too warm for january. always causes problems when this happens.

been reading, catching up with everyone. bowlign was tonight, i couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. we bowled against a team that is rather obnoxious..in the past yelling/kicking things when they miss a strike/spare....really not good sportspeople. now granted, i am not a good bowler by any stretch of the imagination, but i just do it for fun. there are only two teams on the league i dont' like to bowl against, and tonight was one. :( thankfully livvy and i played a game of scrabble to keep my mind off of them. although, i have to admit, they were relatively well behaved tonight.

i got my level 1 class finished, well except for tweeks. when i started teaching reiki two years ago, i could barely figure out what i would talk abou tfor the small classes. when someone asked me to create a 30 hour electives course last fall, i about fell over. but my first class notes are 20 pages long, so that should cover 10 to 12 hours, i think...with hands on practice and such. now onto level 2....

not a lot else going on. i checked out the bear cam! so sweet the sounds of those cubs.

caught the eagles in the nest earlier today too! was excited.

not a lot else going on. everyone on here seems so busy..... :)

have a fabulous evening, stay warm and safe....*smiles*

The night light is on and the sandperson will be beginning rounds in a few minutes.

Restful sleep for all.

So much football...my eyes are crossing and I'm feeling a little punchie:)

Shirley, your life is NEVER dull, is it? LOL

Lynn, do behave yourself...you know you have help coming! Makes you feel so helpless when you can't do things for yourself, doesn't it?

Costume Lady said...

JUDIE, tell the sandman to stay away from here, for about an hour. I want to watch AMERICAN IDOL special show tonight!

magpie said...

I don't have much going on Janet.... (waiting on the sandperson to make the trek from Judie's )
enjoy your fullofnews posts...
hope the weather will NOT be dangerous for you...
Congrats on the fruits of your hard academic works....

MARGY, how's things at your roost?

Linda said...

Evening Folks!!

A nail-biter game for sure......but it looks like the Giants just got their big chance! Wet and slippery out there.

Had to turn down the sound. I couldn't stand hearing those baby cubs crying!! :-(

Costume Lady said...

Aww, thanks, Margy!

Linda said...

Wanda - Congratulations to your grand daughter Jillian!!

hedgie said...

Janet, hope that nasty weather evaporates and that there are no touchdowns of the tornadic variety.

There's Judie and Wanda, too!! And Judie is gone just like that.

Drat---Giants just won. :(

magpie said...

Way Cool Avatar, Wanda !!
They both look so happy, and rightfully proud!

magpie said...

Yeah, tough loss for San Fran...
but the Giants's are happy

good game...

Linda said...

Lolly - Don't you just love the 4s??

You can even hit that microphone and talk your emails, too, if you do them on your iphone.

It came in so handy for me when I was sending lengthy text messages to my brothers about my Mom hour to hour, day to day last month. I don't do the texting too well, so it was a HUGE plus for me!!

stronghunter said...

Just turned on the game to see the ending.

Thanks for the mention of American Idol, Wanda.

Janet said...

Back. Made a cup of hot tea. feeling chilly.

Magpie, me too, waiting on sleep time....sunday nights hard to go to sleep sometimes after bowling. we get home about 8:30. weekdays, 9 p.m. and i'm struggling to stay awake....sundays however, it might be ten before i'm asleep.

regarding bowling; im all for cheering on your teammates...having fun, cutting up a bit, but when you kick the ball return, throw your hat because you missed a spare, come on, grow up, we are middle aged adults, not toddlers...most of the teams are pretty fun to bowl, don't take it so seriously. but these couple of teams, WOW.....

as for the classes: it feels good to have that level 1 written. it felt pretty smooth and easy, as if it wrote itself. let's hope the next two go so well.

if this goes right...i'll be teaching this as a 30 hour elective class for a massage school....currently my classes are four hours for level 1, 3 hours for level 2 and four hours for level 3. so, 11 hours total. kicking up to 30 hours is a stretch!

anyway, sometimes i feel like i just jabber away...wonder if i am boring you to death...lol

i want to watch idol as well, but we are taping it as olivia will want to see it as well...

magpie said...

Hi Linda!
Hope today was a great one for you and Dennis....
wow, those phones you and Lolly have sound very high-tech...

Game Over......

Short visit for me! We are heading upstairs.

We've had a long, but good day today.

Wishing you all peaceful sleep tonight. Hope that ice doesn't cause problems for any of you heading out in the morning. I definitely don't do ice...... you just plain can't!

Fervent prayers continue for Tori. Lord, please give her that good news soon and allow her that chance at a normal life! To You be the Glory.....

Wish I had more time to visit....

Love to all ♥

Night♥

Lost my other profile so I had to start fresh. Excited to be back and keep up with my momma =)

Well, last I saw, game was tied, but had to come back here to turn off 'puter sound! Fubby could hear the cubs!! Amazing he can't hear the TV in front of him,(I need earmuffs) but can hear everything from the bedroom! DUH

Need to mention about Shirley's comment earlier, that Kathryn & Hunter are so thoughtful and kind to help that stressed family. Hope things get resolved some how.

WHAT, Lynn?? Fed. Gov't opening late???? Somebody must have something on the road somewhere. Ours are clean--only maybe 1/2 on ground---mostly ice!
Gotta finish some stuff & I want to see Idol, too!! So, if I don't return, Pleasant Feather Dreams and Good Health Prayers for All ;>)

magpie said...

We're sailing towards a quintuple split you know...

Lynn, meant to mention, sorry about the death of your friend's mother...hope you had some good telephone time earlier...

JO: Sounds like some great birthday celebrating going on for Ed....read your posts earlier about the gathering ☺

I got a new phone recently, about 2 weeks back. Looked at the I Phone, went with a Captivate Glide. I am trying to figure out the apps. I want the text to talk app.....but figuring it out! I have put a new program on there (app I suppose) so I can use music as my ringtone....havne't COMPLETED it yet, but workign on it New technology sure is neat; but scary too.....I mean, using a program called Squared, I can use my phone as a credit card processing device! That's wild to me...and I can deposit a check by taking a pix of it and never going to the bank! I am always amazed at this stuff....and nervous about it too.....I've recently converted to an aluminum wallet because I saw on the news that there are these people (all much smarter than me!) who have machines and can read your credit /debit card info from as little as five feet away from you, with your cards still in your wallet. SUPPOSEDLY the aluminum will stop that???? (fingers crossed)...not that they'd get much from me anyway, lol.

Not boring at all Janet. I was especially interested in the comments on bowling. I just took it up this fall. Still have much to learn.

hedgie said...

Hi, Linda......and Karla has joined in. Hi girl! Long time no see!

hedgie said...

How are you feeling, Karla? Hope your recovery is coming along smoothly! We said lots of prayers for you!

Linda said...

Back to say Hi Margy.....

Yes those phones are. Way above my head and much more than I need, for sure. It was a huge time and stress saver for me last month, though.

My husband spoils me..... too much.

So nice to see you ♥ and so happy to hear Fred is making such good progress. Keeping him in my prayers.....

I am feeling better everyday. Although I wasn't expecting to be down so long and have been a little antsy. Just so glad it's over and ready for Mother to get herself taken care of.

Linda said...

Hi Karla..... I'm Linda!!

Just wanted to let you know we have been praying for you and hope you are feeling better. Take it easy, so you don't have any complications. I say that from experience.

I hope you feel better than you ever have in your adult life once you completely recover. I know I did.

But.....please don't overdo it.....
