My last early day!! But have to go for blood work before rad so will drive myself and leave here about 9. And then see oncologist after radiation. So it'll be after noon before I get home.

Talked to Karla this morning. She's doing a lot better. She started getting sick again last night so her doctor came up to see her and was pissed that she was so sick. apparently she didn't get the medicine that she was supposed to to keep her from getting sick. When I left around 10:00 she seemed to be feeling a little better and able to sleep (after the right meds). This morning she was able to walk down the hall and said she's feeling a little hungry
Great news, Wanda, that Karla is feeling better! Crummy that she didn't get the anti-nausea med sooner!!

Great news about Karla. Just goes to reinforce the need for an advocate whenever hospitalized or undergoing treatment. Someone needs to be there to rattle the cage when need be.

Wanda, I think mix-ups/omissions/errors are more common in hospitals than we'd care to know! The people on the staff have SO many things to do and so many patients to take care of! Not an excuse, just a reality.
Oh, for sure, Shirley...he must remember that it is his duty to feed Belle while he is courting her;)

Being able to make babies is just one part of the process. We hope he can do that, but he also needs to help with the rearin' of the younguns. He has to feed Belle and the babes.

As CarolAnne said, it just shows that we have to be advocates for ourselves and our loved ones when they're in the hospital. When my kids were in school, and there was something going on that I didn't like, I told the teachers that they had a bunch of kids to worry about but I only had 2, so I was bound to see the things that affected my boys. Not a criticism, just a reality. Morning, Dana!

I guess, as some have already said, we can't assume that, just b/c we have 2 eagles, we'll have eaglets. There are still so many unanswered questions - will Shep know how to mate? know to bring food to Belle when/if she's incubating eggs? know how to help with incubating eggs? And, so true, only time will tell!

I'm so torn - part of me wants to just sit here and chat and see how long Belle actually stays. Part of me wants to get moving and get something done today! Since it was so rainy yesterday, I basically wrote the day off as my "do nothing day." Don't want to do that again today!
