YES DANA Laughing Yoga is big in Canada too...I have never done it. I laugh enough as it is.
Amanda Knox will leave Italy on a commercial flight tomorrow morning. Italy is nine hours ahead of Pacific time zone which means six hours ahead of Eastern Time Zone.It is 1:30 In the morning right now over there.
I heard that too, Hoda, flying out of Rome. Did you get any sleep today?
I'm not hungry either, have had a headache all day, just doing toast and tea....and that would be gourmet apple bread toast...found it at the Amish tent at the craft show in OC...yum
PAULA, I had two hours of sleep between 7-9 in the morning and that is it!!! So strange. I am taking it easy and avoiding sweet foods...I had a French Canadian Pea soup and a Salad for my late lunch after yoga and have stayed away from tea too because of the caffeine. I drink water and this keeps me hydrated...Maybe too much excitement affected my sleep pattern also...I am not sure. I am not tired and simply getting along...I would like to sleep tonight though. I hope to stay up till at least nine so I could sleep through.
Just wanted to give you an update and some explanation.
Until the 2012 nesting season, we're going to disable the live cam now. Due to wiring and weather issues, it's just best to not set a level of expectation that the camera will always be maintained during the off-season.
We normally only keep the live feed up until July 15. This year, we thought we could extend that, but that didn't work out.
Power to the camera has been previously provided by batteries which are recharged through solar power. But, with cloud cover and shorter days, the batteries are not getting charged, and so the live feed goes offline. The NCTC is preparing to install permanent power close to the nest so that the camera can always have power applied to it. That will take place over the next few weeks.
We're also hoping to have that big branch and leaves trimmed so that they don't obscure the camera view of the nest.
All of this will be worked on during the off-season. So, please return to outdoorchannel.com/EagleCam mid-January 2012.
Thanks for your support and participation. We'll see you soon.
THE ABOVE WAS POSTED FOUR HOURS AGO ON THE OC SITE.
Hello all. Back and settled in. We had a very nice dinner...and both got stuffed!!!!
Caught up to this split.
Well, JudyE---remember that Irene traveled from Massachusetts to Montana with THREE cats!!!
Lynne, these cats that Judie adopted are mature cats from a good home. I think they are fully vetted.
H2O2 is no longer the "treatment" of choice for wounds. Soap and water is the preferred method. It doesn't damage tissue the way that H2O2 does.
Sharon....8 yrs....WOW!! Does it SEEM like it's been that long??!!! Way to go, girlfriend!
Jo, didn't know about the basement mold....NOT good, especially considering your lungs!! I thought it was all finished off and was living space......???unknown moisture happening??? Do you run a dehumidifier??
I suspected that the cam would not be back up anytime soon....but I was hoping for December!! Thanks, Hoda. I didn't even bring up the cam today at all.
Lynn, dehumidifier runs constantly. Mold sorta sneaked up when we stopped using the living space (It is all finished off).
Happy that you and Carolyn got stuffed! Did Liesl miss you?
Hoda Thanks for Live Feed update & I see JudyE put same infor on FB Eagle Cam Fans. So be it! Hope Steve has some comments when he returns from his travels........
JUDIE - re: cats - Be patient! :o) Have adopted 2 shelter cats almost 2 yrs ago. To date one still will not allow being picked up, though will come sit on your lap when it feels like it and loves to be brushed. Litter boxes were another issue; one didn't like a covered box and the other didn't like to share the two boxes. We have adjusted to their individual personalities. And Feliway, though very expensive does seem to work. We used the spray & the plug in diffusers. Good luck
What did you two order LYNN for the Birthday supper? I am glad you enjoyed it.
It is good that JUDYE posted the info on the FB web page JO. It was mentioned on WOW and I posted the wording there too.It spreads the word on the decision.
Not much progress today regarding the two adoptees. Have a headache and need to rise early for school. They are not eating and have not used either litter box. Concerned, of course. Will wait it out another day or two or three. Stress level for them and us is high.
The night light is on for anyone needing to arise in the darkness and for Andy coming in late from the West coast. Restful sleep for all (including me).
Whooooo Roads wet, raining hard from Berkeley Springs... road surface looked like glass, mirrored glass at that with oncoming cars Glad I have the All-Wheel Drive....makes me feel safer... Good Evening Eagle Pals I have some backtracking to do to see what you all have been up to
Good Evening Eaglebuds! Been busy doing almost nothin'! I can't decide where to start---DUH. Sherry, Jim & Merry (cat) will be coming up for Xmas, so I should have plenty of time to try and get organized if I can get my brain to work!
Have a cool little project coming. Grandson Keith in TN has little GGson that is now in school! He has the cut out figure, Stanley, to take pictures of doing different things. Sending him to me to take to Park. They have instructions, too. Probably not allowed, but I'd love to copy & paste a pic of Stanley on top the Wash. Monument helping look for earthquake damage! But, if I can keep him 'til weekend, we're having the annual Kid's Day in the Kountry on Sat. Lots of stuff--pumpkin face painting, crafts, pony rides! BTW, we always get the ponies from Old MD Farm in Watkins Park. Lady in charge called and said all of them are sick! They think it's West Nile Virus spread by mosquitoes. She has them vaccinated twice a year & was just about in tears. So sad. We can use another vendor.
Margy, I do too! Don't know of any bank holiday....
I don't think it matters if an adult cat comes from a shelter or a home, the stress/adjustment can be difficult for more sensitive cats. Or even young cats...I got Joker when he was 4 months old, and he hid under the steps and rarely came out even to eat for more than a week!
MID JANUARY???? We are going to miss SO much......
Loretta, so sad about the ponies....I know the mosquitos have been really bad in the last month with all the rain and standing water. They attack us every evening...you can see them hovering around the dogs faces! I know they've confirmed several cases of WNV in south PA....but not sure if human or bird.
Lynne, we did notice at Park recently that mosquitoes are zooming at you any time of day. The last Sat. I worked there, it was rainy. I was all covered and had my plastic raincoat. They attacked my neck & hands! We have Off & I'm sure gonna use it!
Not sure I understood all that about the "cut out figure Stanley," I don't think I'm hip enough.. but the rest of that message sounds exciting, Loretta !
I see your bat wings moving Lynne, but now JudyE's eagle wings are not flapping
Sounds like a great Birthday Bash, Lynn and Carolyn... sure is a blessing that you are BOTH with us 39 years later xoxo ♥ NO offense to Charlie, but I am glad it was just the TWO of you special ladies ☺
13 human cases confirmed for MD so far this year. Dead birds no longer routinely tested in MD but 6 have been in Montgomery and Talbot Cos and were positive. As of 9/28, no confirmed cases in horse. I guess the people will get their horses tested. I hope it's NOT WNV.
So sorry to read of the headache problems here, time for Paula's to kick on outta here !!!
Linda I understand what you said...those side effects sound truly awful.... with the nausea I had Phenergan, don't laugh, suppositories, they sure worked but I HAD to sleep afterwards....zonked me out big time. Couldn't keep anything down so had to take 'em that way, and works quick !!!
through the years I tried Midrin, ErCaf, Amitriptylene in small doses, none of that worked to my needs.... finally, the fioricet (Butalbital) and the Imitrex, but then the Imitrex went generic and is only half as effective
You're very welcome, Lynn, I hope you like it... There is just something about that book that maybe I was just ready for.... the relationships and how they develop... back in the day, (before I was born in 1951, and for many years thereafter...) we had a "Maid" come three times a week, she was just wonderful...and now, she is my 93 year old shopping pal - lives six blocks away ♥
yes....January is a looong time to wait, since we know the Birds start visiting the nest in earnest in December...will have to go back and gaze upon the E-M album entries for some nostalgia...
Jo Sorry about the mold situation in the basement.... new Christmas tree sounds good, and I like what you said about the special ornaments for the children.... ♥
Loretta, that's a shame about the horses......hope everything turns out well for them AND for your activities. YOU can photoshop Stanley doing ANYTHING!!!!! You are so talented!
Have to say that I have not noticed a mosquito issue here....but all other things that come with too much rain are evident....funguses and such galore. Mold on the deck carpet in places. Will need to hit it with the bleach when the sun decides to return!
boss tells we can have a little aqaurium at work, IF we finish getting pictures of employees into a Scrapbook started in 2005 - we are rushing to do that before new employees get hired later this month !! We want some LIFE in the Center
well Lynn, I will call one credit card company because the payment is surely going to post late, was due on the 2nd which was a Sunday anyway, cc co's are usually good for one relief of being late...so I'll try to cash in that chip Thanks, could be my computer but this would be the first time on that
Lynne, Irene (FuzzleMO now) had a nice email on Momster mail.....settling into her place....and finally saw an eagle flying last week!!!! She hasn't found a job yet.....and I think is anxious for the time she can leave Missoula and head on NW! Can't remember ultimate destination, but guess it won't happen until Nikki finishes school.
LYNN - Glad you and Carolyn had a nice birthday dinner.
MARGY - Took months of trying different meds before we got to the right combination, too. So strange how that works. I look forward to the day I have no more migraines!
PAULA - Sorry to hear you didn't feel too good tonight, but happy to hear your headache was better before hitting the hay. Sleep well!
HODA - Thanks for the info post on the cam. How sad to learn we won't get to see our Eagles until January. Won't see those nestorations. Figures.....it would be my first year to watch early, too.
LOLLY - Happy to hear you and Jack have arrived at tonight's destination and are settled in for the night.
JUDIE - Hope the cats do better tomorrow. I am guessing you are feeding the same food they were eating with their previous owner, too, right? I know you're stressed and exhausted over it. Praying things will be better tomorrow. ♥
WANDA - Where is that picture of YOU and your new do???
Dennis is falling asleep on the couch and is tired, so we're heading upstairs.
Love to all of you and wishing everyone restful sleep this night!
Keeping you all in prayer......
May God Bless and Protect us all and the critters we so dearly love.... xoxo ♥♥♥
Oh, my.......ESPN has dropped Hank Williams, Jr's Monday Night Football song because of comments he made on a show about the current administration. That has been the theme for 20 yrs.! So much for free speech!
So, after dinner and the ball game, jack said let's walk. We were walking around the park, it was getting dark and we met a guy walking his dog. We could barely see him. Jack said" he looks like Dan (BIL) I agreed and said "he walks like Dan.". We spoke and guess what...it sounded like dan cause it was Dan! Lol. Well, then I had to run to their RV to surprise Sharon! (SIS). We have been over there all evening. Expected to see them inAlbuerque but not here!
Oh No! We won't see the eagles getting the nest ready for newbies.
But if the inprovements make viewing better I can deal with it.
We had a black bear attack in the area. It followed a dog into the house and attacked the man and his wife. PGC thinks it might be a female protecting her cubs and they have set up a trap. Glad the couple survived but pictures of the man on tv tonight looked awful. Forget how many stitches/staples he had on his head and arms but he was very lucky. Fortunately this is a rare occurence.
Hi, Gang, Checking in kinda late from Lake Tahoe. We walked around and checked out some of the shops and art galleries around here today. Then came back and watched a movie and vegged. (Shhhh--don't tell! We are supposed to be sightseeing!) We ARE going to drive up the west shore of the lake about 30 miles tomorrow and have lunch at the Sunnyside Restaurant & Lodge. Their Mountain Grill menu sounds great! You have a FANTASTIC lake view.
This is NOT a link, but copy & paste & check out the pictures:
www.sunnysidetahoe.com
Judie, I'm hoping that you have managed to get both cats into a bathroom or laundry room that's easier to clean up! I agree. This breed of cat sounds like they make strong attachments, and those two may just feel as if they've been kidnapped. If they are not eating, they may not have to go potty either--hopefully. Do you know what kind of litter the previous owner used? A different kind might not appeal to them. I would just put them in the room and basically leave them alone except to feed, water, and clean cat boxes for at least a week. Of course, you are probably already doing just that. Praying that all works out for all of you. Above all, BE PATIENT. The Siamese we used to have, who turned out to be the best cat I ever knew, started out on shaky ground, too. If we closed the bedroom door on him, he would go downstairs and mess in the corner of the living room! We did it because he walked all over our faces, making sleep impossible. We had to put him in a big cage with his catbox and his bed for two weeks. At that point, dawn broke through. He never messed anywhere but his litter box for the rest of his life. We let him sleep under the covers, and he never budged until morning. All the trouble at first was SO worth it in the end!
Well, I think Kubby found a movie that's about to start on the bedroom TV, so guess I'll call it a night. Prayers for everyone have been said, especially those who feel puny. Prayers for all creatures, too. Making sure the porch light is on, and enabling both security systems. Prayers that everyone gets a good night's sleep (That includes Hoda, and Judie & Darth!). God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you! :o]
Lynn, that is the bear attack I was posting about.
A spokesman for the PGC said since there is no DNA of the bear they cannot tell if what they trap is the same one that attacked the couple. It will be moved up north but nothing was said about testing but that's certainly a possibility.
Glad you had a nice dinner with Carolyn. You must have been to the Red Lobster.
Diann....yes, I looked it up after your post!! Wanted to share the link. H2O2 is hydrogen peroxide, which Dana said to use after I posted soap and water. Best thing it is for is diluted (with water) for mouthwash, post-dental work, and to clean blood out of fabric (colorfast only).
Andy, looks like a lovely place to visit....well-worth the trek around the lake!! Enjoy!
I spent so much time reading the blog that I'm too sleepy to make comments, now:) Nothing outstanding to report. GG's treatment was postponed until Wednesday...she is still having a good deal of pain in her back. I think her sciatica is gone, her pain is in middle lower back. Praying for BIG TIME relief and long lasting, too!
I too, am bummed about the cam being off till mid-January and us not being told directly from Steve or NCTC, makes me feel like the RED-HEADED STEP CHILD!
OMGosh no cam til Mid-January! Will we miss everything? Do we need a letter writing/money campaign? Why that long. I guess I better start reading back and maybe I will find some answers. Oh that just distresses me!
Thelma, this will only be my second season so I have questions. Will we miss the actual mating season? I don't remember when the eggs were laid last year. Do they lay in January and then hatch 23 (?) days later? The post was over on Outdoor Channel. It is very depressing. I really wanted to see our eagles. I don't really watch the other nests, I'm not as into all the other bird sites, this one is just so special because it's so close to home and I just fell in love with Liberty and Belle and I can't believe we can't see them until Mid January.
Really disappointed about the cam news. Confused, too. The message said that the cam has usually been closed down at the end of July, but I do not remember seeing it shut down then.
Hey guys on facebook did you notice that Geula Sauberman seems to have un friend all of us I noticed that one of my count went down by one and I found that she is no longer my friend and when I went to her page she has no Friends in common with me so she must have dumped us all I wonder why????
Hi everyone! Finally a few minutes to check in... Major bummer news about the camera.
I'm hoping Steve and others at NCTC will be keeping a close eye on the nest and they'll get OC to turn it on sooner when there is activity beginning with nestorations.
Judie, best wishes with your new kitties. I hope they're feeling better today. If you want more I got three again.
Kittens Bobby, LeRoy and now little girl Andie is home to get fattened up. They obviously haven't done well in a shelter setting, but are bouncing back and beginning to thrive again. Kate called yesterday and said she had to go pick up Andie because she just wasn't doing well, even with her four story condo and hammock!
So, if you know a fabulous home that wants a cute, sweet, cuddly kitten, or three, let me know. :)
I miss you all...hope to get back to a more normal schedule tomorrow.
Good morning wonderful friends! I am heartbroken that we are not gonna have our cam until January, just heartbroken. This has been the worst year ever for our cams from the eagles to the bears. Just heartbroken, once again!!!!
Must be a facebook thing she is now my friend again ODD now she is back and with all of blog friends listed when I went on last nite she wasn't on my list and no one was linked with her Maybe it had something to do with facebook switching and messing with it last nite
That was strange last nite how facebook kept changing to the old format It was even mentioned on the Fox news station did you know that there are over 750 million people on facebook WOW
Who lives in GA on the blog or was that LORI on her way home Are you home LORI???? I saw Ga on map earlier when I looked at globe and no one spoke up they just fell off the globe OK BBL
I would like to chime in on the cam. Just because the Outdoor Channel won't have the live feed up until mid-January, it doesn't mean the still cam will be down too. It may be but not necessarily so. Outdoor Channel doesn't sponsor the still cam.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... Outdoor people don't always know the facts as they are. We have never closed down the nest cams, except for repairs or when they were kaput. Not to the knowledge of this tired brain~ December is the time when the eagles get earnest in their repairs of the nest and start bringing in tons of sticks, January, they start shaping up the nest and the egg bowl/cup...and...lots of Hanky Panky. End of Janurary is the earliest an egg was laid and Mid-February, the latest. Hatching occurs late March. Maybe STEVE will take pity on us, when he gets back and move things along a little quicker. He is not the NCTC head hauncho, but he is in charge of the nest happenings.
Shar is right about the still cam....sounds like it will be up. And the announcement on OC is from NCTC, not from OC. They are not who physically tends to the cam...NCTC employees do that. OC is just the internet conduit.
Yes, Margy was right....eggs are layed end of Jan/early Feb. We will miss most live-action courting and nestoration. And yes, it's a bummer for sure.
Wanda, only one I know is Bev in Vancouver who has had such an awful year with her bird work that she was going on hiatus: both physically and emotionally, I think. Also had the preemie grandson born who is doing well!
Oh, okay....that was the gal in FL with the throat cancer. Her friend June let us know about the sad outcome. Yes, she lost her battle. Her name was Karen Kinsaul.
P.S. Karen was a security officer with Florida State University. Her Mom was an Alzheimer's victim and she cared for her until she got too sick to manage.
Good morning! Have been visiting with Sharon. She and Alley (her dog) came to visit. Alley checked out the trailer and approved!☺ They are heading out and we will see them sometime later on this week.
52 this morning. Love sleeping with it cold and bundled under covers.
Could not get on the computer last night. I am on now, but can not get on facebook. Strange! Jack can not get on CNN homepage either. Oh, he can get on but it is very slow. I have no problem with the blog.
We will be heading to Santa Fe shortly.
I am thinking that surely we will have the cam sooner than January. They will not be wanting to disturb the eagles so late. JMHO
Just read the comment Hoda put up at 8:21pm Monday about the Outdoor Channel having the Live Feed off till mid-January 2012. Must have lots of work to do to fix this. This is such sad sad news. I know they don't usually lay eggs until late January towards first week or so in Feburary. I know teachers let their kids watch the Live Feed if they get their school work done. Seeing how the eagles fix up the nest. How they interact with each other. Sure which this good have been better news. Hope we don't loose a lot of people. We will all be HAPPY when it comes back on. I am sure including the teachers.( :
Ah, yes, I remember now. At the time she sent us an email telling us of her illness, I thought Karen was AKA, Geula. Geula is not her real name, can't remember what really is? She was using a friends name for some reason. Anyway, Florida and Israel are so far apart...how could I confuse the two? Oh, Lord help me, I am so DITZY!
Lolly, glad that you had a nice visit with Dan and Sharon and the dog!!
Any work in the nest or on the tree will surely be done during the fall season. I think the technical work is all on the ground, so don't imagine that will affect the eagles one way or the other, whenever they do it.
Wanda have a hot dog ready in case someone doesn't like stuffed peppers lol. Menu sounds great ( :
See GG's appointment moved till tomorrow. Keeping her in prayers ^j^
Judie maybe that stuff CarolAnne mentioned "Feliway" just plugs in and helps with stress in cats.
Hedgie-Lynn/e sounds like a wonderful BIRTHDAY DINNER for Carolyn. ( :
Loretta see where Sherry & Jim (and Merry the cat) are coming HOME for Christmas. You must be so HAPPY ( : I see your going to have GGson Stanley maybe till the weekend. Oh boy fun fun fun !!! Oh that Kid's Day sounds just great for him. Sorry about that vendors ponies..she must be in tears since they vaccinate them. Prayers for her and her ponies.
Thanks, Lynn, for update on Geula...glad she is ok:)
DANA, you are right...some of our guests and most likely, children may not like stuffed peppers. We will have SUBSTITUTES for them. Probably ravioli (canned), but HOT DOGS is a good idea too!
Margy You never told us that the 93 year old pal you take shopping. That you knew her in your younger life. That is so cool!! Bet she has some memories to share with you of the family growing up. NEAT!!
Mema Jo I have special christmas ornaments for Raschida. I gave her some already for her tree. Since the nut she was married too before kept hers. I agree with the mold situation. A new tree will be nice for Christmas. Get some of that RID stuff - everyone on here that uses it speaks of how nice it makes the basement smell ( :
I see Lori has all three kittens back now; LeRoy, WOW Lori you have your hands full again. Hope they all fatten up and you can soon find a home for them.
Thanks Hedgie-Lynn/e for posting Loo & Lori Day 2. That Loo is something else. Wants to drag Lori on those high rides. Loved his "beer mustache". LOL LOL

Oh and I always get apple dumplings at Colorfest!
PAULA, I had two hours of sleep between 7-9 in the morning and that is it!!! So strange. Paula, sorry you have had a headache, too. :( Sure hope you aren't coming down with something. That bread sounds heavenly!!
It is pouring rain again.....started just as we got home. I am SO sick of rain!!
Gas here today was 3.55.
PAUlA what this means for me is that I will keep my eyes up to see eagles in the wild till the cam gets back.
I suspected that the cam would not be back up anytime soon....but I was hoping for December!!

JUDIE - re: cats - Be patient! :o)
Have adopted 2 shelter cats almost 2 yrs ago. To date one still will not allow being picked up, though will come sit on your lap when it feels like it and loves to be brushed. It is good that JUDYE posted the info on the FB web page JO. It was mentioned on WOW and I posted the wording there too.It spreads the word on the decision.
Time for House.
Check out this version of one of my favorite songs:
Hallelujah!
Judie's cats are not shelter cats. Owner has developed an allergy.
Hoda, we both had our favorite Colada beverage, calamari appetizer, and "endless shrimp" entree! And, of course, the garlic/cheddar biscuits!!!!
I checked the White ROck webcam...some humans made some nest restoratin which reduced the size of the nest considerably...I do not think the eagles will want to use it...what do you all think?
What do you think of the man made nest restorations at White Rock?
It sounds like a perfect Birthday Feast LYNN.
JUDIE keep hanging in there and please tell your sand person my address so he would pay me a visit tonight!!! HA HA HA!!!
It is a very good rendition LYNN Thanks for the link.
Whooooo
Roads wet, raining hard from Berkeley Springs...
road surface looked like glass, mirrored glass at that with oncoming cars
Glad I have the All-Wheel Drive....makes me feel safer...
Good Evening Eagle Pals
I have some backtracking to do to see what you all have been up to
xoxo
What is it, a bank holiday?
I have debits in Pending Transactions since Friday night....

Not sure I understood all that about the "cut out figure Stanley,"
I don't think I'm hip enough.. but the rest of that message sounds exciting, Loretta !
I see your bat wings moving Lynne, but now JudyE's eagle wings are not flapping
Sounds like a great Birthday Bash, Lynn and Carolyn...
sure is a blessing that you are BOTH with us 39 years later
xoxo ♥
NO offense to Charlie, but I am glad it was just the TWO of you special ladies ☺
That's some kind of neat avatar or Sharon and Andrew ♥
Hoda
I hope Judie's Sandman or one of his handsome kin has made it all the way out your way by now
Poor Steve gets bitten all the time, but I rarely get mosquito bites for some reason.
Sure is helpful to have Nurse Lynn and Vets Lynne and Lori on here !!
I don't see my bat flying, and Judy's eagle only flaps once after I refresh. UGH!
Avon Skin So Soft works nicely too, Loretta and smells soooo good
Heading upstairs. See you tomorrow. Rest well, everyone.
I got flying bats all over the place.
And eagles, too.
So sorry to read of the headache problems here,
time for Paula's to kick on outta here !!!
Linda
I understand what you said...those side effects sound truly awful....
with the nausea I had Phenergan, don't laugh, suppositories, they sure worked but I HAD to sleep afterwards....zonked me out big time. Couldn't keep anything down so had to take 'em that way, and works quick !!!
am I to understand that if the sun comes out that the batteries will recharge and we could get power?
How come the OC gets this info over there but no one has told us here?
Glad my bat is flying for some of you! Nite Shirley!
through the years I tried Midrin, ErCaf, Amitriptylene in small doses,
none of that worked to my needs....
finally, the fioricet (Butalbital)
and the Imitrex, but then the Imitrex went generic and is only half as effective
Didn't care much for the House season premiere. :(
Margy, thanks for The Help!
'Night Shirley...
James's hat still fits nicely after the haircut ☺
Love you, Hope Sleep is Sweeeet
xo ♥
Ah Lowreeda, you have a 'flat Stanley'! Sorry to hear about the ponies :(
Lynne, looove those biscuits! Sounds like a great meal!
Margy, those pending debits can take up to 3 days to finally post to your account.
I'm sure the cam will be up before January!
I can see the bats and the birds, LOL
Going to take my leave now....and if might I just sing for you.....
(Cue music for song Camelot)
In short, there's simply not
A more congenial spot
For happily-ever-aftering than here
in the Eagle Blogspot!
Good night and prayers for all!
Judie, hope you get some good rest....did you get them both corralled in one room?
Hoda, I think the nest looks like a good foundation. The eagles will surely build on it!!
Margy, no bank holiday! Mine got my direct deposit okay! Maybe yours is having a puter issue.
yes....January is a looong time to wait, since we know the Birds start visiting the nest in earnest in December...will have to go back and gaze upon the E-M album entries for some nostalgia...
but thanks, Hoda...for posting the information
Jo
Sorry about the mold situation in the basement....
new Christmas tree sounds good, and I like what you said about the special ornaments for the children....
♥
nice Nighty-night post, Lynne....
hope you have a blessed night's sleep...
Oh, I DO have a Flat Stanley "dolly," and a book, guess I better catch up with all that !
Margy, I gave Charlie AND the girls plenty of opportunity to come.....they are just sticks in the mud!
boss tells we can have a little aqaurium at work, IF we finish getting pictures of employees into a Scrapbook started in 2005 - we are rushing to do that before new employees get hired later this month !!
We want some LIFE in the Center
well Lynn, I will call one credit card company because the payment is surely going to post late, was due on the 2nd which was a Sunday anyway, cc co's are usually good for one relief of being late...so I'll try to cash in that chip
Thanks, could be my computer but this would be the first time on that
Good night, Shirley. Is tomorrow bolwing league??
Lynne---you hit the nail on the head.....and it's not a new thing....we apparently just don't count. Don't get me started.
happy to see both Andrea and Lolly checking in....
sure hope the vacations are both glorious ones...
snow or no snow....
rain or no rain
Well, Lynn, the rest of the family sure missed out then !!
Still, happy for YOU it was just and Jewels...
I better stop breaking the speed limit and running up the posts....
Prayers for Wellness....Peace, and Comfort....
Good Night, Precious Pals...
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ♥
Lynne, we might get the still cam back on...I'll email Steve when I think he's back at work.
well, I'm still here...just thought I'd check the blog on IE, and sure enough, eagles are flying and bats are flying! Must be a Firefox problem.
BYE!
wonder how the former FuzzMA is making out in Montana...been ages since she has checked in....
BYE!
MARGY NONE of the Sandman's kin have shown up here yet!!!
LYNN thnaks for your opinion on the nest. It looks awfully small to me and it was already crowded last season.
LYNNE2 I am on IE and no one is flying around here!!!Avatars that is...
LOL----Lynne, I'll go you one better from Camelot:
MacArthur Park is MELTING IN THE RAIN!!!!
Goodnight!!!
Oh, Margy, didn't mean computer issue on your end....on THEIR end!!!
Hitting the hay, headache is better, finally!
See you in the a.m. Keep checking the still cam throughout the week...
the still cam is still updating date and time...
Niters...
I am ready to close it down! Tomorrow
is a day for sunshine - please!!!
Good night everyone and God Bless
Prayers for all needs
Hugs for all ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Back to say good night!
May God Bless and Protect us all and the critters we so dearly love.... xoxo ♥♥♥
Goodnight, Jo and Linda! Rest well...see you on the morrow....hopefully sans rain!!!
Can not log on so using phone!
Night all! Sweet dreams!
Good evening everyone.
Brrr... 47 - don't know how to make the degree sign. Have to look that one up. I know I have it somewhere.
Must catch up but Lynn that is also my favorite song and that 8 yo is amazing.
bbl
Wow, Diann, that is scary!!! Hope that they can successfully trap and relocate the bear. I'm sure the man will be much more careful in the future.
Lolly, SMALL WORLD time, huh??? That is so funny!!!!
Heading for the tub. Prayers for all our needs. Will check in before I shut down to see if Wanda chimes in!
I am going to log off and hope for sleep...Goodnight, God Bless and Sweet Dreams
Bear attack
Another article says the bear will be euthanized and tested for rabies if caught. :(
Hi, Gang,
Checking in kinda late from Lake Tahoe. We walked around and checked out some of the shops and art galleries around here today. Then came back and watched a movie and vegged. (Shhhh--don't tell! We are supposed to be sightseeing!)
We ARE going to drive up the west shore of the lake about 30 miles tomorrow and have lunch at the Sunnyside Restaurant & Lodge.
What is H2O2? I know H2O is water.
Getting sleepy - hooray!
Goodnight and God bless!
Enjoy!
Hoda, hope you are sawing logs!!!
Goodnight again!!! Peace.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SLEEP WELL
PRAYERS FOR ALL
OMGosh no cam til Mid-January! Will we miss everything? Do we need a letter writing/money campaign? Why that long. I guess I better start reading back and maybe I will find some answers. Oh that just distresses me!
Good morning my eagle family.
January DanaMo?
That is awful depressing.
I guess it is what it is.
I think the eggs are laid in January but I'm not sure.
Good Morning Eagle Pals
Sun coming our way today !
T-Bird, hope you are feeling better today !
In the past, the NCTC eggs have been laid in late late January and early February, hope this helps
G☼☼D M☼RNING EAGLE BUDS and a camera less crew So sad that we won't get our camera back till Jan NOT FAIR !!!
glad to see Wanda checked in, wow it was late.
Hope GG gets some relief soon, Wanda...
Soup Kitchen tonight? post the menu and let us drool ☺
We're in the 900 club now
Have a good workday JudyE
and everyone else headed out to the salt mines
I need to do the same, soon.
Diann

Best wishes for a good day, Everyone

Good morning.
Really disappointed about the cam news. Confused, too. The message said that the cam has usually been closed down at the end of July, but I do not remember seeing it shut down then.
I am trying out a Halloween avatar since it is right around the corner I had two black crows but they didn't move so this seem to be moving
my delete on the other
A little witch never hurt LOL lets see it if moves I wish the crows did
I like the witch tooo
well I am going to the rocker DOWN IN THE DUMPS about the camera SO SAD And not fair
Geula is still my friend on FB, Judy, don't know what happened.
Well its time for he to hit the road I always look forward to funning home to see if the cameras are working Now just bummed
No, JudyE, I'm still in Orlando.
Leaving this afternoon.
Have a great day at work, and I'll see you tomorrow morning, for sure.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
Outdoor people don't always know the facts as they are. We have never closed down the nest cams, except for repairs or when they were kaput. Not to the knowledge of this tired brain~
December is the time when the eagles get earnest in their repairs of the nest and start bringing in tons of sticks, January, they start shaping up the nest and the egg bowl/cup...and...lots of Hanky Panky. End of Janurary is the earliest an egg was laid and Mid-February, the latest. Hatching occurs late March.
Maybe STEVE will take pity on us, when he gets back and move things along a little quicker. He is not the NCTC head hauncho, but he is in charge of the nest happenings.
Good morning all.
LORI, it has been cold and rainy since you left, but, tomorrow will be 70ish and sunny!
Judy, all of your avatars move for a few minutes and then stop! But they are all cute.
Wanda, sorry GG's apptmt. got changed. :(
Geula is still friends with us today......FB is SO messed up.
JUDY, I love all of your Halloween avatars, but the Count & Cat is my fave...adorable!
Who was the momster that was so very ill and asked us not to contact her anymore...was she a Florida friend...does anyone remember?
Wanda, only one I know is Bev in Vancouver who has had such an awful year with her bird work that she was going on hiatus: both physically and emotionally, I think. Also had the preemie grandson born who is doing well!
I think it was falcons that she worked with.
I remember someone that was very ill but, this is awful, I cannot remember who it was. Sharon?? Do you remember?
I cannot remember her name but I am pretty sure she passed away shortly after that from cancer. Hedgie, do you remember?
Good Morning Diann, Hedgie-Lynn/e, Wanda, DanaMo, Thelma, Margy, JudyE, Shirley, Lori, Bev, Sharon,
and Lurkers.
I see something about mid-January. Need to catchup on these comments.
Oh, okay....that was the gal in FL with the throat cancer. Her friend June let us know about the sad outcome. Yes, she lost her battle. Her name was Karen Kinsaul.
Yep, that was her, bless her heart. Karen, I remember now. :(
JMHO
Gotta go! Have a great day! I will!
Just read the comment Hoda put up at 8:21pm Monday about the Outdoor Channel having the Live Feed off till mid-January 2012. Must have lots of work to do to fix this. This is such sad sad news. I know they don't usually lay eggs until late January
towards first week or so in Feburary. I know teachers let their kids watch the Live Feed if they get their school work done. Seeing how the eagles fix up the
nest. How they interact with each other. Sure which this good have been better news. Hope we don't loose a lot of people. We will all be HAPPY when it comes back on. I am sure including the teachers.( :
Good luck and thank you NCTC for working hard to get the Live Feed back on board to the viewing public!!!!
Haven't heard from Geula in a long time, have any of you? They were having so much unrest near her...bombs and gunfire, etc. Hope she is ok!
Wanda, Geula IS Geula's real name. Her old email addy was karen@ because she and a friend named Karen switched first names for their addy's!
Lolly, glad that you had a nice visit with Dan and Sharon and the dog!!
Any work in the nest or on the tree will surely be done during the fall season. I think the technical work is all on the ground, so don't imagine that will affect the eagles one way or the other, whenever they do it.
Sure is GREAT to see the SUN!!! And Liesl is happy to have a sunspot to lay in!!! Breeze is kicking up so hopefully things will start drying out.
SOUP KITCHEN MENU:
STUFFED PEPPERS (BAKED)
GREEN BEANS AND CORN
GARLIC BREAD
BREAD PUDDING
APPLE JUICE,LEMONADE,ICED TEA,COFFEE
Wanda, Geula sent email on Momster mail a few days ago about her computer dying....finally has a new one, a new email address and has family visiting!
Wanda have a hot dog ready in case someone doesn't like stuffed peppers lol. Menu sounds great ( :
See GG's appointment moved till tomorrow. Keeping her in prayers ^j^
Judie maybe that stuff CarolAnne
mentioned "Feliway" just plugs in
and helps with stress in cats.
Hedgie-Lynn/e sounds like a
wonderful BIRTHDAY DINNER for
Carolyn. ( :
Loretta see where Sherry & Jim
(and Merry the cat) are coming
HOME for Christmas. You must
be so HAPPY ( :
I see your going to have GGson
Stanley maybe till the weekend.
Oh boy fun fun fun !!! Oh that
Kid's Day sounds just great
for him. Sorry about that
vendors ponies..she must be
in tears since they vaccinate
them. Prayers for her and her
ponies.
Thanks, Lynn, for update on Geula...glad she is ok:)
DANA, you are right...some of our guests and most likely, children may not like stuffed peppers. We will have SUBSTITUTES for them. Probably ravioli (canned), but HOT DOGS is a good idea too!
Wanda that sounds like a good substitute. Prayers that many come for that wonderful meal.
Loo&Lori Day 2
Thanks Hedgie-Lynn/e for posting
Loo & Lori Day 2. That Loo is something else. Wants to drag Lori on those high rides. Loved his "beer mustache". LOL LOL
