Good morning! Time to start our pity party on here. LOL Woe is us who are unable to be at NCTC this morning! I know for a fact they are hugging and laughing and having soooo much fun. Actually, I am sooo happy for them and can hardly wait to see pictures!
I must say....the blog is never so quiet as when the Momsters get together. I have been known in the past to carry on a running conversation with myself for a long time. LOL
Yes, I have been thinking that it would have been fun to go. I would have needed to get a room and gone yesterday and Kathryn would have needed to find someone to help her with Hunter.
We have taken Hunter out of school for open house, but can't do that too often, and I don't think he needs to miss any time right now.
MapQuest says it is only 2.5 hours, though. It shows a different route from the one we took before. That certainly took much longer. This time it recommends getting on I-81. I always thought that would have been a good idea.
I have been out in the yard. Yes, you can not keep me from going out. I mowed! But, I wore a mask! Jack was going to do all the work, but I wanted to go out. Taking a break.
I guess they are at lunch right now, yacking away. Yes...Momsters yack! ☺
...and so they gather eagle beads and our BEST WISHES with them...
ENJOY THE TIME AT NCTC.
LOLLY I am glad you are feeling a bit better.
KAY lovely poem. Thank you for sharing.
I will get the snow tires put on my car today. It is time... I will also go to yoga and then come to the blog...ooooohhh!!! It will be quiet hewre today with everyone gone, but we will keep it going...
Howdy Hoda! It is 70 here right now. No thought of snow tires!
Really feeling about the same as yesterday. I have drainage and a cough and a little headache, but not feeling too terrible. Have not gone to the doctor. Not much they can do unless it is an infection and I just do not know. Not running a fever.
So, it is one there now. Back to the nest after lunch? Or are they hitting up the gift shop?
Hope they aren't all too tired to tell us all about it this evening ! MARGY was hoping to take some, if not all, out to the Swinging Bridge area she loves so much. It's just plain thrilling to imagine the fun they are having !
LOLLY, you are right. If you have no fever it may not be an infection that antibiotics would do a thing for. Best not to take them if unwarranted. I've been on one antibiotic or another since the end of August and am kind of worried about what that may mean in the future. No choice, however. Getting outdoors and keeping on the move if you feel like it is probably the best thing you can do.
It's a grainy day here, but I have to do a Kroger run for more Apple Cider Vinegar. I took it upon myself to open my front door to the foyer so I could do a couple of sprayings and then vac up gnat carcuses or is it carci ?☺ In doing so I'm sure I let more of the critters enter my place, but it seems like we'll never get ahead of them if the whole place is not tended to. BBL
LOLLY It is hard to tell if it is not an infection...the best you can do is just monitor it and hope for the best...
We are sitting at 42 degrees and partly overcast...I would say in a few weeks we will see some snow in town, there is already fresh snow in the higher elevations...it looks really pretty with the leaf colours in the lower elevations and then the fresh snow on the peaks.
LORI was going to arrive a bit later than the others so I am not sure what they will do in regards of the gift shop stop...JUDYE really wanted some things from there so I hope they have them and that it is open for them to buy things...
I am off for a few hours. See you all later the afternoon my time evening your time...
I hope LYNN and LIESL are doing well on their journey. She sounded well when she posted last evening.
LOLLY, I went back to JUDIE's post re: Darth's surgery, she said:
The sandperson is creeping down the hallway. Reminded me that tomorrow is an early day. Darth is having the second cataract removed in the morning so I will be with him at the VA hospital. Don't know how long before he can come home.
If I remember right I was at the eye surgery center for about 3 hours, total. Could vary depending on other health issues a person may have. Wonder how far their home is from the VA Hospital ?
The NBG Eagle Trak shows that Camellia, last year's male fledgling has been hanging out near or at the Garden for several days. Sometimes on one side of the airport and sometimes on the other. That airport makes me nervous, but he and all his sibs have taken their flying lessons there, so it's home.
Kay, do not tell anyone....Jack bought my cake. LOL It was a recipe I had not tried but it sounded so good. Well, guess what? It is fantastic! It is very moist, rich and the praline icing is yummy! What is funny is another lady made the same cake! However, she put walnuts on her cake, I used pecans. It was pictured on the cover of Southern Living....a beautiful as well as yummy cake!
HELLO HELLO Hello I have arrived home and can report that a marvelous day was had by 9 Momster/ Dadsters at NCTC with our Hostess - Marie Brady. Marie turned out to be a wonderful guide to us all. Steve Chase is fortunate to have such an Intern under him. We sat around for a while after lunch and then I went over to gs Aaron's to visit for a while and to go to SHEETS for his coffee. I then started home and had reached Sharpsburg when my phone rang. Knowing MD law about cell phones I stopped on the shoulder and it was Margy!!! The Eagles were in the Tree Our Sycamore Palace - Home Sweet Home. Happy Happy that JudyE and DanaMo were able to see them. Pictures and more pictures are coming!
LOLLY, my lips are sealed ! The cake sounds sooo good and I, for one, much prefer pecans to walnuts. Besides praline icing calls for pecans, in my opinion. Glad you and Jack get to enjoy it !
About a year ago was my last time to see Lib and Belle. It was Sunday night after Open House. The guard let Jack and me in. We parked the car and waited. Just as the sun was setting and we were about to give up in swooped both eagles. They circled the tree but did not land, then flew off to the near by trees to perch for the night, I guess.
Jack like to bid at the auction to help run the price up. LOL This cake was really the best thing there that we could freeze. Have put half in the freezer.
Sure wish our CAM was working....I am just going to pee with joy the day it comes on and LIB, all fat and strong, is back with his Belle and Truder has been sent to go court another woman!
Thanks for holding now the Blog Lolly, Kay, Linda and Hoda - I see Jim stopped by.
I can't wait to hear from Judy and/or DanaMo as this is the first they have seen Belle/Truder. Margy, Wanda and DanaWV are with them and I am sure they are very excited also. Margy's text to me was: We took Judy 2 curve in rd. 2 eagles now. Called danamo she came back & is HABBY!
everything is fine Kay, with the car. It needs a tune up, but they won't do that as part of the warranty, even though I could have worked today and missed out to take it there to make sure THEY didn't get in trouble for a late inspection. Whatever. I'm done. I've got way too many other things to think about right now.....
JO, thank you so much for filling us in so soon ! It's wonderful that the eagles made an appearance !!!! I know DANAMO and JUDYE are thrilled to pieces and I'm sure it's a kick even for those who have seen the residents of Sycamore Palace before !!!! Looking forward to more detail and many pictures !!!!
Hi Lynne - The NCTC Eagle cam that runs even when our is down was NOT up. Marie said it was off and she said she hadn't notice the eagles around the nest. But now that she is more aware of our nest location and the fact that she should be able to see it from her office area - Maybe we will get more reports and updates.
It was a FUN day and I can't wait until APRIL..... Whoo Hoo
Oh Yes, Margy was going to take JudyE for a tour of Swinging Bridge area. They may stay and just gaze upon the beauty of the eagles before them until it gets dark and then it will be too late for the tour. Can't wait for Wanda, Lori, Dana, Judy and Loretta's pictures.
LYNNE, I do so hope all is settled with the car, so you can relax about that at least. You are certainly being tested lately. I'm praying for all the solutions you and Steve need !
PAULA, HODA is having the snow tires put on her car today. We don't even need such things here, though 6 hours north in Michigan my Eileen does. Yep, it's time for heavy socks up there !
What a wonderful visit at NCTC and so great to meet everyone! Thank you for my Eagle Beads!!!
I can't believe that after I left the eagles came.I was at Antietam Battlefield on my way home when Margy called my cell and said the eagles flew in! I turned around and prayed to St. Francis that they would still be there when I got back to the nest. I was already 15 minutes out! But I made it and it made my day. Great visit with everyone! Pictures are on DanaMo picture blog. I cropped so I lost some resolution, and I can't tell at all if it's Truder with Belle, but I got pictures and I am so psyched!
Well, I do hope Wanda observed Lori's purty toes! LOL Maybe she will stop checking on mine! ☺ Mine are painted, thank you, but when winter really comes, and sock go on....I give the toesies a rest.
Oh, DANAMO ! Your pictures bring a tear to my eye--I'm so thrilled for you. Great group picture and I recognize all from previous pics on various blogs. Congrats on getting your Eagle Beads ! Keep on unwinding and tell us more !
And I see the eagles were in the tree! Bet they are nestorating already. Too bad we are missing the beginning of all this...would be really nice to see.
Did NCTC provide any cam update? Are they still looking at early November?
The Flying Labs thank Lori for their new tug. I posted a video of them playing with it. There was no sense trying to take "still" pictures since they were "flying" around! LOL! Am I witty or what? What, right?
OK, maybe I misspoke Lolly. In rereading Jo's comment, sounds like Marie watched them on the closed circuit TV, but didn't know where the nest was on campus... Is this correct, JO?
Strange...went to DanaMo's blog. Saw the place where the video should be, but no video. Was going to make a comment and when I clicked that to leave a comment, there was the video.Hmmm????
That is strange Lolly. I had trouble getting it to load and thought maybe there was a problem, so I reloaded it. I just went to it and it showed up so I hope it's good. I actually took it away from them in the house because otherwise my couch will be in my kitchen!!! They already jump all over everything and the couch moves. Funny how Frisbee lets the pups have all the fun. He just stands there and barks, although he did finally get into it!
Hi Eaglebuds! We got back home at 3:30. Good Time Was Had By ALL!!!!☺
Need to get a cup of coffee, will try to read everything and put on pics. Video asst. director cut 2 runs in Half! Oh well, Ms. Wanda Made a few, I believe. Maybe Many!!! Altho there are 2 'puters, someone is car part shopping & this machine is faster! DUH BBS We have a warm sunny place down here. Sorry ;>(
Wow!!! Beautiful pictures DanaMo.......and looking forward to more. So happy to see all the smiling faces, but heart-broken that I couldn't be there!!
So amazing that Belle & Truder graced you with their presence both in and around the nest and flying so gracefully in the air. I am so happy they appeared for you very special eagle pals!!
Did lots of vacuuming and mopping today. Dennis usually does that for me, and I MISS HIM DOING THAT!! Plum wore me out!!
He went outside and did the leaves with his tractor mower and his DR Leaf Vac. I was checking on him all day in FEAR, but he kept saying he was fine. He is in now and going to take a shower and rest.
I hope he didn't overdo it and I pray there isn't any possibility of something going wrong AFTER you overdo it. He's stubborn!
Looking forward to more reports of this wonderful day!!
TO THE EAGLE MOMSTERS AND DADSTERS THAT WERE ABLE TO ATTEND MY FIRST TIME SEEING OUR EAGLES YEP WE SAW BOTH IN THE AFTERNOON AS I AM SURE YOU ALL HAVE READ LOVED IT LOVED IT ☺☺☺♥♥☺☺
I loved SwingingBridge and the surronding area absoutely stunning breathtaking We did see a couple of deer but no picture I loved all the pictures that are already posted the eagle flying turned out so good I am so lens envy of your camera I want to invest in a good one one day
At the gift shop I bought me a eagle cane and I found a cool pair of ear rings eagle off course I got me a eagle shirt and a small childs for Jordyn to wear as a night shirt
When I get home I want to order stuff from Pauls site I already know what I want A sweatshirt, the tote bag, and a t shirt and off course I want a travel mug Someone one had said today that some one else had mdse I should have asked then. I loved the shirt MemaJo had on she got it from them she thought so if someone will let me know I would love to see the other site when I get home and Thanks in advance Ok I need to go eat and I think there is some one else that wants to use the puter I will check back in later
Just saw DanaMos pics and video. Was on old 'puter. It wouldn't let the drop down work for comments. SO, they are great!!! The labs were flying! Love the eagle. You were so lucky!! Will put my lackluster pics on Blog---got switch to Google.
DanaMo - Excellent news on your Dad. He doesn't have to go to a rehab facility?? That would be just wonderful if he could have a rehab nurse come to the house or if your Mom could take him whenever he needs to go.
Prayers have been answered!! That was one heck of a weekend for him!
Not me Paula, not until I see that Lib really isn't coming back this year. Although I like Colonel, and I do NOT think that "out ranks" Liberty by any stretch of the imagination as LIBERTY is the most powerful word in meaning. I also like Beau although I like the whole name of Beauregard!
But I'm still so verklempt...tawk amongst youselves....LOL!
DANAMO THE PICTURES ARE STUNNING!!! Thanks ever so much for posting them. You all looked great and I see now the eagle beads. I loved the pictures of the Eagle soaring and I thought to myself BELLE so this is GRAND. I liked both of them perched and I love the colour of the leaves. DANAMO I can well imagine your being anxious that they would still be there after you turned around to get back to the nest. LORETTA you will see them the next time I am sure...Just seeing the nest area is a true gift, how lucky you all are...Then spending tiem with one another we came for the eagles and stayed for the friendship.LIFE IS GOOD.
SORRY, I'm just getting around to posting pictures. Busy, here...yah!
I have posted only a few...will post more later.
We had a wonderful time..it was a PERFECT DAY. Judy is delightful and Danamo is a pretty little thing, just right for a Kindergarten teacher:) More later....
PAULA, I do have socks on and have had them for a month now really...shoes too...Today I got the snow tires put on the car as there is fresh snow on the mountain peaks.I have been wearing a heavier coat too and love the AUTUMN colours and temperatures. The day went really well here and I know a lot of gratitude. I LOVED READING THE BLOG. SO AWESOME OF JO TO CHECK IN RIGHT AWAY...and all the others who followed...I am blessed witrh your friendship and your sharing.
PAULA I am OK with starting the process to name Truder. BELLE and BEAU have a french ring to them. BEAUREGARD gives me a bit of resistance as my first response to him was he was not easy on the eyes!!! Beauregard "Beautiful to see" in French. I am partial to COLONEL...yet I think we should do it the way JO suggested...open for suggestions and take a vote off the blog...through email?
Naming Truder is not saying that those who are still hoping LIBERTY comes back are wrong. It simply says we are aware of the possibilities...if he comes back LIBERTY RULES no question!!!
That is true, Hoda. If Liberty does show up, per chance, then there is no harm done. But I would hate to have to all of a sudden name him at the last minute!
Hoda, I can set up a poll on the Momster Group site after all the names are submitted.
I kinda like Trooper....and Beau and Colonel...don't think we've had any bad suggestions thus far!
LYNNE I think I harbour secret wishes to have been a southern belle....it goes back to my childhood when GONE WITH THE WIND came out.Oh MY what a GREAT film it was, and it turned out the southern belles were strong and determined women if Scarlette is the model...I love your humour with the pronunciation of Beauregard...
Tired tonight from shopping for towels and a Halloween shirt to wear for bowling tomorrow, then going back out to find materials to help Hunter organize his notebook.
He has to keep test papers, etc., and the holes were ripped out. Kathryn wanted hole reinforcers. Went to two stores with no luck. One clerk suggested that they don't make them anymore. We ended up with clear plastic page protectors.
Colonel--I think the problem I have with that name is that Belle's suitor seems too young to be given that title. I think I like Beau.
I have viewed all of your photos but there may be more to come.. Lori's should also be awesome! I really put my feet up when I got home I just finished a cup of coffee.
WANDA I LOVE the pictures you posted and it was clearly Miss BELLE perched so very regally in the Sycamour Palace. The group pictures were lovely and I felt jealous and the nest is so clearly visible from the road...You all looked soooo very happy... I like the Southern ring to your suggested name for Truder = Colonel Beauregard...
I am a bit irritated at the Dr that Steve saw at the VA today. She told him his bloodwork results were pretty good, but I beg to differ.
His cholesterol is 225. Borderline high. HOWEVER, his LDLs (bad ones) are very high and his HDLs (good ones) are very low. AND his triglycerides are more than twice the high normal level! Not only that but he has a slightly low RBC and slightly high WBC. I don't think this is GOOD bloodwork. GRRRRRR.....Well, at least his BP is good at 130/70 although I'd be happier if the top number was below 120.
Have any of you ever read the BOOK Gone with the Wind? Quite a bit different in many places than the movie was...but NO WAY anyone could get it all in a movie!
Oh shoot Shirley we could have shared a room I opened another window on this puter and trying to read some of todays blog This is window 7 and seems to be the same as vista Loved the poem KAY maybe next time I will get to meet you all
SHIRLEY I did google for my maps and they really gave me shorter routes than mapquest I think try it sometimes I just don't like some of the back roads it takes you on June dirveted me from the one that they wanted me to take 197 which is really bad she said so I took the way she said one straight shot to 26 and it was only 20 miles difference
I drove through the town really cute quaint little town Loved it with the night lights I went and ate at the pizzerria in the strip store near McDonalds had fried mushroom brought most back with me Had a great conversation with the young lady that was behind the counter Talked about my day today She was quite impressed Did not know there was a eagle nest in the area gave her the link to beakspeak.com and told her she could find it there as many others I think I have just reformed another human to the birds LOL

Wow, make that WOW. What a day, Make that: WHAT A DAY!!
Going to read now, opened refrigerator realized no calcium available, had to go get calcium: cheese, milk, OJ, yogurt. Now I get to see what you'un's been up to. xo Good Evening Eagle Pals...☺
We all need to thank DANA for insisting that MARGY drive to the curve to see the sunset that PAULA suggested because we would have not seen the eagles I am so excited still
oh LYNN2 that would have been wonderful if we would have seen three eagles All the locals need to go out every now and then to keep checking to see if three are in the area
Judy, I would have loved to have shared a room with you.
Mapquest gave us the most godawful set of directions the first year we went to open house.
I think it took 4 or 5 hours. It was scenic. We saw vineyards, farms, and every small town between here and Shepherdstown.
We did not even have time to unpack and go to our room because dinner was already underway when we got there.
Then last year, we stopped and bought a GPS because we had trouble getting out of Shepherdstown, and we usually do better than that! (Shepherdstown is really not big enough to get lost in for too long, thank goodness.)
Well I need to sign off I have only read till 3:29 today will try to come back there are a few other peeps that want to use the puter I see waiting later LOVE TO YOU ALL ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Hello everyone, I feel like I know you all, I read all the posts and have cried, laughed and have sympathy for everyone. I recognize so many of you from the NCTC cam and wish you all were there and posting even though the cam is down. I never posted before but am so envious that you got to go to the nest.
Well Hello There onewith, Thanks for Posting ! There will be other opportunities to get to the nest.... some have come from California, Texas...Florida! and many points from here to there !
You blog with us, you will be "onewith" us pretty swiftly ☺ Feel free to tell us about yourself too...and...that cam WILL be back on one day, count on it !!
Hi Onewith! Please chime in any time! Where do you hail from? As Wanda (costume lady, and an original momster) said...we came for the eagles and stayed for the friends!
I am with JO and PAULA in terms of the naming process. Today's gathering brings energy and affirmation to it all...I am so thankful that you all got together and that they came to greet you...
I see JudyE brought in the comment I was going to make first.... We "'splained" to JudyE how to get to the curve, and DanaWV, said, let's drive down there and show her: WOWSER as we park, Wanda, in the front seat of ole Whitey (my Blazer) says in that calm sweet voice, Oh look, there's an Eagle... Sure 'nuf...one flew into the branch above the nest and perched. JudyE parks behind us, gets out, Wahoo! It's still there and another one flies in... Called DanaMo, she was at the Antietam Battlefield....we all prayed that those eagles would still be there when she got back to us...one was, then....the other swooped in and she saw two as the rest of us did.... and before all that, Wanda and Dana shared a Prayer that we would see Eagles today. Well, that was a Good Prayer! gotta to see pictures... on your blogs, folks...
as you may have noticed if you've been following us....things tend to sometimes get pretty silly around the ole blog when there is no nest to comment on!
I am back! Dinner was good and now just watching the game. Go Rangers!
Hi Onewith! Welcome! Yes, tell us about yourself. I am from Texas, therefore did not get to go to the nest today. BUT, I have been there! I know the thrill of seeing our eagles.
As terrific as it would have been for ALL of us to see our Feathered Friends... Mission Accomplished: DanaMo saw her FIRST eagle today with us, at NCTC, and JudyE drove ALLLLLL the way up from Florida to see them.
Great Poem, Kay.... and Shirley: hole re-inforcers are still available! I use them at work, and will be on the hunt for some for you for Hunter... Plastic Sheet Protectors...well, I shoulda bought stock in the manufacturer for them....they are perfect for so many things.
DanaMo, congratulations on your father's release from the hospital tomorrow.
JudyE, so happy you and the others were able to see Belle and her consort at the Sycamore Palace. Now you're really hooked.
Shirley, hope the Halloween shirt brings a terrific bowling score tomorrow.
Lynne2, blood results don't sound serious but I think it might be worth getting another set of eyes.
Cataract successfully removed. Arrived at 10am. Darth to surgery at 1:30pm. Left hospital at 5:45pm. Two hour rush hour commute home. Fixed Darth dinner. He's sleeping now. Canceled class tomorrow. Must take him back to the hospital for a check up on the eye.
Hoda Good on you for getting ready for Ol' Man Winter... going to visit sooner than later up your way...I see, snow in your mountains!
I have Lori's Tug for Liesl, will take to Carolyn Tues so she can take it to NC...
DanaMo : Too funny, about the couch ending up in the Kitchen with the dogs playing....
okay, I want to go see pictures !
Lynne don't know if you saw this, but little James and Big James were in Terra Alta over the week-end, and by the way: (( Hugs ♥ )) sounds like you could use some after today... and for whatever you got your mind on these days....xoxo bbl
Judie Thanks for the update... sorry for such a long day... and hope that Tuesday will be okay... hang in there, the two of you !
Lolly, I didn't have a nest conversation per se with Marie, and I think if I check the website I might find an email address...and definitely can get a snail mail to her this week asking for it...
I live on Deep Creek Lake in Western Md. I think I live about 2 hours from the nest. I have been posting on NCTC forum since last year when Lil Paddy didn't make it and have been religously watching, I miss the cam and can not wait till it is up and running. I was hoping that someone could say for sure whether Lib was back or if it was still the intruder.
Hey, that's a beautious place to live! We go through there on the way to my Mother in Law's house in Terra Alta WV. We stop and hike around when we have time!
We all miss the cam!!!! Can hardly wait! We just chit chat on anything and everything until we get it back. I have been watching the cam for almost 4 years now and many much longer than that.
Thanks for checking in. Know it has been a long and tiring day for you and Frank.
Hmm, watching DWTS tonight. Things got a bit dicey between Maks and Len. Len said he had been doing his job 50 years, and Maks said that maybe it was time to stop.
LYNNE I read GONE WITH THE WIND and I agree with you the movie was long enough and they could not include everything from the book in it. No Northern Lights in my sky tonight yet anyway. I will check it out later...

Many of our Dear Eagle Fans are arriving at the NCTC now and are surely excited to be there.
Wishing you all a happy gathering and that Belle blesses you with her amazing grace!! xoxo ♥
Thank you STEVE, how nice to have a new thread to start our group of nine off with as they visit NCTC !
And, thank you, LINDA for the call over ! Hope all is well with you and Dennis today ! ♥♥♥
Bringing this over from the old thread:
Received this poem from a dear old friend. He doesn't realize how perfect it is for us !
BUTTERFLIES AND EAGLES
Quite often, my faith is like
Delicate butterfly wings,
I hover close to the ground,
Too afraid of higher things.
Oh, how I wish my faith were
Like an eagle's wings on high!
So strong, sure, and capable,
Never faltering in flight!
Well, my faith may be fragile,
But the Lord can do all things,
For He is the wind beneath,
Butterfly and eagle wings.

Good morning! Time to start our pity party on here. LOL Woe is us who are unable to be at NCTC this morning! I know for a fact they are hugging and laughing and having soooo much fun. Actually, I am sooo happy for them and can hardly wait to see pictures!
Lovely poem, Kay!
Need to go back and read the old thread!
I must say....the blog is never so quiet as when the Momsters get together. I have been known in the past to carry on a running conversation with myself for a long time. LOL
Thanks for the new thread, Steve.
Thanks for the call-over, Linda.
Hi Shirley! I am so sorry you could not go today!
I skimmed over the old thread quickly.
I coughed a lot last night and my head still hurts, but really not too bad. LOL I will survive!
Take good care of yourself, Lolly.
I am sure the group at NCTC is having a grand time! Thinking of them! Can't wait to see pictures!
I have been out in the yard. Yes, you can not keep me from going out. I mowed! But, I wore a mask!
Jack was going to do all the work, but I wanted to go out. Taking a break.
I guess they are at lunch right now, yacking away. Yes...Momsters yack! ☺
Good morning /Good afternoon all...
...and so they gather eagle beads and our BEST WISHES with them...
Having been there, I can imagine it all quite clearly. Sure wish we could have been there, too!
Had I been well enough I'd have driven the 6 hours to be in on this get together, sigh. Crossing my fingers for April now !
Wonder what time Darth was having his cataract removed. If was early this morn, he should be home soon. Thinking of you Darth and Judie!
I figure someone will be checking in soon. Sure is quiet around here!☺
LOLLY, I went back to JUDIE's post re: Darth's surgery, she said:
The sandperson is creeping down the hallway. Reminded me that tomorrow is an early day. Darth is having the second cataract removed in the morning so I will be with him at the VA hospital. Don't know how long before he can come home.

C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Hi Jim! Welcome to the very quiet, very empty blog!
How are you this fine day?
************************
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
TO OUR FRIEND
AT BW, LISA.
************************
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
If I remember right I was at the eye surgery center for about 3 hours, total. Could vary depending on other health issues a person may have. Wonder how far their home is from the VA Hospital ?
There he is ! What's up in Southern California today, JIM ?
Hi, Lolly, Kay. It's a good day in So Cal, but it's a bit foggy and a bit coolish...61° right now.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Very interesting that the eagle has returned to it's home. Always wonder about our baby eagles and where are they?
I so want to see another successful year...one with NO drama!
HELLO HELLO Hello
I have arrived home and can report that
a marvelous day was had by 9 Momster/
Dadsters at NCTC with our Hostess - Marie Brady. Marie turned out to be a
wonderful guide to us all. Steve Chase
is fortunate to have such an Intern under him. We sat around for a while after lunch and then I went over to gs
Aaron's to visit for a while and to go
to SHEETS for his coffee.
I then started home and had reached
Sharpsburg when my phone rang. Knowing MD law about cell phones I stopped on the shoulder and it was
Margy!!! The Eagles were in the Tree
Our Sycamore Palace - Home Sweet Home.
Happy Happy that JudyE and DanaMo were
able to see them.
They circled the tree but did not land, then flew off to the near by trees to perch for the night, I guess.
afternoon all!
Glad to hear Lori's mom is doing so well, and I hope Darth's surgery has gone well, too!
JIM, our temps are close, we're at 59 here in Columbus. 78% humidity since it's been raining most of the day.
Jack like to bid at the auction to help run the price up. LOL This cake was really the best thing there that we could freeze. Have put half in the freezer.
All is fine with the car.
I see Jo has checked in!
Sure wish our CAM was working....I am just going to pee with joy the day it comes on and LIB, all fat and strong, is back with his Belle and Truder has been sent to go court another woman!
Well, I am STILL hopeful.....
Oh, and I much prefer pecans as well! And, since our freezer still holds many of OUR pecans, of course I used them.
Hey, LYNNE ! How did things work out at the dealership ? I've been fretting about you all day !
LOLLY, that sighting of Belle and Liberty had to be thrilling ! Sure hope the group today got to see an eagle or two !
I am so excited that JudyE and DanaMo saw our birds!!! WOO HOOOOOOO!
OMG! The Eagles blessed the Momsters/Dadster today. That is totally awesome! Judy must have been beside herself!!! Yea!
Thanks for holding now the Blog Lolly,
Kay, Linda and Hoda - I see Jim stopped by.
I can't wait to hear from Judy and/or
DanaMo as this is the first they have seen Belle/Truder. Margy, Wanda and DanaWV are with them and I am sure they are very excited also.
Margy's text to me was: We took Judy 2 curve in rd. 2 eagles now. Called danamo she came back & is HABBY!
Hi Lynne! So glad the car is okay. So, what was the deal with the dealer?
everything is fine Kay, with the car. It needs a tune up, but they won't do that as part of the warranty, even though I could have worked today and missed out to take it there to make sure THEY didn't get in trouble for a late inspection. Whatever. I'm done. I've got way too many other things to think about right now.....
Sure wish they had seen THREE eagles....LOL!
Thanks, Jo! That is very exciting! So very happy for them! Wow!
Marie
said it was off and she said she hadn't
notice the eagles around the nest. But
now that she is more aware of our nest
location and the fact that she should be
able to see it from her office area - Maybe we will get more reports and
updates.
It was a FUN day and I can't wait until APRIL..... Whoo Hoo
oh Jo, that's good news....maybe we WILL get more updates now! THANKS MARIE!!
JO, was LORI there ? I imagine all you Marylanders had to head out earlier than the locals, huh ?
Oh Yes, Margy was going to take JudyE
for a tour of Swinging Bridge area.
They may stay and just gaze upon the
beauty of the eagles before them until
it gets dark and then it will be too late for the tour.
Can't wait for Wanda, Lori, Dana, Judy
and Loretta's pictures.
Gotta run for a while....will check back later for all of the updates!
Lori was there and she left work a little after 9:00 and she pulled in after I had arrived around 10:30 at the tree, Her cameras are to die for!!
I will tell on her - She had the
prettiest toe nail pollish! (NO SOCKS)
My feet are going up ...
Probably Wanda may be here - she needed to get to the costume shop!
LYNNE, I do so hope all is settled with the car, so you can relax about that at least. You are certainly being tested lately. I'm praying for all the solutions you and Steve need !
Oh Hoda, 42°...do you have your socks on ☺
Oh, how neat ! LORI has purty toes ! I'm thinking she's a doll, head to toe ! Hope she is in some of the pictures others took.
JUDYE has much to say "Cool Beans" about now ! What a grand vacation she's had !
Whoo Hoo, so glad our eagles were spotted! Sounds like a grand time Jo, thanks for the info!
We should let Marie know that we saw the eagles. She said she hasn't seen them in months! But we did!! ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺
Oh, DANAMO ! Your pictures bring a tear to my eye--I'm so thrilled for you. Great group picture and I recognize all from previous pics on various blogs. Congrats on getting your Eagle Beads ! Keep on unwinding and tell us more !
Fantastic pictures, Dana! Did you get Marie's email?
DanaMo, fantastic pictures! Hunter is home and I must go.
BBL.
DanaMo, awesome pics...so glad you turned around!
Jo, where were YOUR eagles beads? Did you forget them, or give them to someone else!
Doesn't sound like Marie knew much about our nest, she didn't know where to look, therefore, she couldn't see any eagles.
BUT WE KNOW WHERE TO LOOK :)
Paula, I am puzzled about Marie not knowing where the nest was located.???? How could you miss it?!!
OK, maybe I misspoke Lolly. In rereading Jo's comment, sounds like Marie watched them on the closed circuit TV, but didn't know where the nest was on campus... Is this correct, JO?
DanaMO, loved the tugging/flying labs!
Heading home, gotta try and mow.
Later!
And thanks for showing JudyE where on the road to observe the nest!
DUH
BBS
We have a warm sunny place down here. Sorry ;>(
AARRGGHH!We drove back to nest on way out--was MT. Just read the eagles were spotted after we left!! (I'm definitely running away from home!)
Hi Loweeda, glad you all had such a great time! You did miss the eagle thsugh, didn't you? Too bad!
Oh, no!!!!!!!!1 Don't run away from home! What would your fubby do then, the poor thing!
Check out DanaMo's pictures, Loweeeeeeda!
Oh, Loretta....so sorry you missed the Eagles!
Holy Buckets! Dad will be discharged tomorrow. He is doing very well.
THANK YOU
THANK YOU

butompo was the word I had to type on your picture DanaMo
odd word ok its is bye this time for good for now
You lost me JudyE "butompo was the word I had to type on your picture DanaMo" ???
The security word to post a comment, DanaMO.
JudyE, I wish I had known what you wanted, I could have sent it with LORI!!
Just saw DanaMos pics and video. Was on old 'puter. It wouldn't let the drop down work for comments. SO, they are great!!! The labs were flying! Love the eagle. You were so lucky!!
Will put my lackluster pics on Blog---got switch to Google.
NOW THAT YA'LL HAVE SEEN HIM WITH YOUR OWN 2 EYES, WHO IS READY TO NAME OUR NEW MALE?
I THINK HE SHOULD HAVE A PROPER NAME TO START OFF OUR EAGLE SEASON.
Paula, I didn't see him, but if there's any trace of black on his head (or not), I think it should be SPOT!!! TeeHee
Oh My - I am coming back and maybe I am
100
DanaMo - Excellent news on your Dad. He doesn't have to go to a rehab facility?? That would be just wonderful if he could have a rehab nurse come to the house or if your Mom could take him whenever he needs to go.
Prayers have been answered!! That was one heck of a weekend for him!
Hoping Lori's Mom gets equally good news that she can go home. Praying that she is able to hold down that solid food today!
DanaMO, hope your Mom can handle
Dad at Home...is she getting some help?
JUDYE are you heading to the nest in the morning?
BLOGGER erased my Comment!!!!!
Put some stuff in the Nook.
It's Lolly's fault for the goofy video! She wanted laughter! LOL
Judy is delightful and Danamo is a pretty little thing, just right for a Kindergarten teacher:)
More later....
Eagle photos on SMILES blog.
BOOOOOO ree gahrd. Sounds better when I say it in person in my finest vah GIN ya accent.
Colonel Beauregard Truder.
yes, I suppose it's time for a vote....
I would like Trooper too, but in this case it seems like he was the 'Trooper' who beat out Lib.
I have posted some more photos of today's visit on my SMILES blog. I have some videos, too...but they will take a while to process.
Colonel Beauregard sounds nice with BELLE.
Or the Trooper who stayed around after Belle attacked him...ignored him...
does have a nice ring to it!
true Paula...
Hi--
Tired tonight from shopping for towels and a Halloween shirt to wear for bowling tomorrow, then going back out to find materials to help Hunter organize his notebook.
Lori's
should also be awesome!
I really put my feet up when I got home
I just finished a cup of coffee.
Now I am being summoned to TV taped
movie. BBL
Yes, let's not wait until the first egg is laid to name Belle's partner
Paula do you want all suggestions on
names given by Friday of this week so
you can set up the poll on E_M ?
And then we can vote! Whoo Hoo..
BBL
Like all the suggestions...and really like....Colonel Beauregard Truder! And call him Beau!
Have any of you ever read the BOOK Gone with the Wind? Quite a bit different in many places than the movie was...but NO WAY anyone could get it all in a movie!
Game has started and dinner is ready!
Oh shoot Shirley we could have shared a room I opened another window on this puter and trying to read some of todays blog
This is window 7 and seems to be the same as vista
Loved the poem KAY maybe next time I will get to meet you all
SHIRLEY I did google for my maps and they really gave me shorter routes than mapquest I think try it sometimes I just don't like some of the back roads it takes you on June dirveted me from the one that they wanted me to take 197 which is really bad she said so I took the way she said one straight shot to 26 and it was only 20 miles difference

What a day,
Make that: WHAT A DAY!!
Going to read now,
opened refrigerator realized no calcium available, had to go get calcium: cheese, milk, OJ, yogurt.
Now I get to see what you'un's been up to.
xo Good Evening Eagle Pals...☺
YEP LOLLY I got teary eyed when I saw them it was amazing to say the least and as I sit here I get teary eyed thinking how nice it was
We all need to thank DANA for insisting that MARGY drive to the curve to see the sunset that PAULA suggested because we would have not seen the eagles I am so excited still
oh LYNN2 that would have been wonderful if we would have seen three eagles All the locals need to go out every now and then to keep checking to see if three are in the area
Well I need to sign off I have only read till 3:29 today will try to come back there are a few other peeps that want to use the puter I see waiting later LOVE TO YOU ALL

Judy, did you see the Sheetz?
Hello everyone, I feel like I know you all, I read all the posts and have cried, laughed and have sympathy for everyone. I recognize so many of you from the NCTC cam and wish you all were there and posting even though the cam is down. I never posted before but am so envious that you got to go to the nest.
Well Hello There onewith,
Thanks for Posting !
There will be other opportunities to get to the nest....
some have come from California, Texas...Florida! and many points from here to there !
You blog with us, you will be "onewith" us pretty swiftly ☺
Feel free to tell us about yourself too...and...that cam WILL be back on one day, count on it !!
Margy - Happy to see you home and with calcium!!
Enjoyed seeing all of you and the pictures posted so far!!
Linda...I'll try to speed read and catch up!
But yes it was stellar....
I'll read first so I don't repeat too much already posted...
Oh Lolly, thanks, "Momsters Yack," that IS FUNNY !! ☺
Hi onewith! Welcome to our blog.
LYNN - When you check in.....to answer your question about Lil's Mom....She lives in Williamson, WV on the KY border in southeastern WV.
Lil's Mom is doing a little better today, but still don't know what to expect day to day. It is good that Lil is there and can work remotely.
MARGY - I was tickled to hear you tell WV Dana not to come early cuz you would NOT be ready early!! LOL
Thank you for welcoming me,,,
Hi Onewith! Please chime in any time! Where do you hail from? As Wanda (costume lady, and an original momster) said...we came for the eagles and stayed for the friends!
Welcome onewith...
I am with JO and PAULA in terms of the naming process. Today's gathering brings energy and affirmation to it all...I am so thankful that you all got together and that they came to greet you...
I see JudyE brought in the comment I was going to make first....
We "'splained" to JudyE how to get to the curve, and DanaWV, said, let's drive down there and show her: WOWSER
as we park, Wanda, in the front seat of ole Whitey (my Blazer) says in that calm sweet voice,
Oh look, there's an Eagle...
Sure 'nuf...one flew into the branch above the nest and perched.
JudyE parks behind us, gets out, Wahoo! It's still there and another one flies in...
Called DanaMo, she was at the Antietam Battlefield....we all prayed that those eagles would still be there when she got back to us...one was, then....the other swooped in and she saw two as the rest of us did....
and before all that,
Wanda and Dana shared a Prayer that we would see Eagles today.
Plastic Sheet Protectors...well, I shoulda bought stock in the manufacturer for them....they are perfect for so many things.
onewith:
You are very welcome...
we might be kinda crazy at times, but I understand we are a pretty lovable bunch ♥
Lynne! Silly! Us? Never!! LOL
DanaWV was going to spend time with her mother after Judy, she and I returned from Swinging Bridge...
hope to see her here soon too
Hey Lolly !!
I got postcards! LOL...your turn to get some now ! ☺
oh Lolly, you are SO silly....LOL!
OK, I KNEW there was a song... and I figured it out. Old country song. For our own MorninGLori.
Beautiful Morning Glory
Thanks again Jo
for making this day possible...
and Steve at NCTC also,
and Marie, she was great...
really interesting, and interested!
Oh, and Marie, is a Marylander ☺
Hails from an area South of Annapolis
Sure hope Marie will keep watch over the eagles and nest for us!
Oh, Margy....I got a postcard today! ♥ I did not feel left out!
BBL
Margy, I expect I have some hole reinforcements in the garage mess somewhere. I found some more sheet protectors in one of my old notebooks.
Kathryn helped him organize things. She even found the project he had misplaced and was going to have to do over.
Hole reinforcements? LOL! Haven't seen those in years!
Hope Judie checks in soon with a Darth report......
Margy, tell us about Marie. Did she not know where the nest is located? Something was said that sounded that way.
Did anyone get her email address so that you can let her know you saw the eagles?
Hoda
Good on you for getting ready for Ol' Man Winter...
going to visit sooner than later up your way...I see, snow in your mountains!
I have Lori's Tug for Liesl, will take to Carolyn Tues so she can take it to NC...
DanaMo : Too funny, about the couch ending up in the Kitchen with the dogs playing....
okay, I want to go see pictures !
Lynne
don't know if you saw this, but little James and Big James were in Terra Alta over the week-end, and by the way: (( Hugs ♥ )) sounds like you could use some after today... and for whatever you got your mind on these days....xoxo
bbl
and DUH, Judie DID check in...glad all is well!
Margy, what were the Jameses doing in Terra Alta???
glad DanaMo got to tour the Swinging Bridge Paradise! I look at my picture every day. It's up on the frig!
Judie
Thanks for the update...
sorry for such a long day...
and hope that Tuesday will be okay...
hang in there, the two of you !
Last we saw, still Truder, Onewith.
Hey, that's a beautious place to live! We go through there on the way to my Mother in Law's house in Terra Alta WV. We stop and hike around when we have time!
TV-commercial for a Hallmark Christmas movie coming on Nov. 6
Lynne-SMILES and says YAY!
Steve (to Puddles)- oh no Puddles, the torture begins.
I'm thinking the Honeymoon is over.
We all miss the cam!!!! Can hardly wait! We just chit chat on anything and everything until we get it back. I have been watching the cam for almost 4 years now and many much longer than that.
Tried to leave Comments 3 times for Wanda, & said I don't exist (more or less!)
LOL Lynne....sounds like it! Sorry!
Hi Judie,
Thanks for checking in. Know it has been a long and tiring day for you and Frank.
Hmm, watching DWTS tonight. Things got a bit dicey between Maks and Len. Len said he had been doing his job 50 years, and Maks said that maybe it was time to stop.
NORTHERN LIGHTS VISIBLE HERE!!!!!! CHECK YOUR SKIES~!
Loweeeda..........You ALWAYS exist with us ♥♥♥
That blogger cop has been causing all sorts of frustration lately!!
Nothing in my sky. Said very dejectedly.:(

Lynne, I ran out and looked. I see a little red glow in the northern sky. Very faint. Thanks for telling us.

Lolly, it would be very very rare for you to see them that far south....sorry!
Check on it from time to time SHirley. It may brighten, and change colors...saw it many years ago here!
I know, Lynne. Did not even go check. Just jealous!!!!
Megan just posted it on FB, or I'd have missed it...we take the dogs out the FRONT door for last pee pee walk, and that it south.

Nothing in my sky, Lynne! I don't know what I was looking for, but just some stars here!
What are northern lights?
it's the Aurora Borealis Linda...glowing really red here right now!
LYNNE I read GONE WITH THE WIND and I agree with you the movie was long enough and they could not include everything from the book in it.
No Northern Lights in my sky tonight yet anyway. I will check it out later...
Okay I am going to check the skies right now!
Lynne, the fellows were at some sort of outdoor thingy, a gathering of some sort at some farm...
