Good morning all. I got a black screen on the baloon link, and enjoyed the discussion so much. It was cool that LOLLY joined in too...
LORI I have done yoga outsied but not frequently and with the practice at the Studio we are always inside...beautiful space with lots of windows and the sunshine comes in. It was almost too hot in the summer time and the fans had to keep going.

It is a gray day here and the colours now are a deep tone of yellows, oranges and even some reds.The reds are not like the east coast reds but there is some red.The ever greens are still green of course and some leaves are already falling so the rustling sound is an added gift.
I will go to a morning Yoga class and then groceries...I will go get ready. BBL.

Gorgeous day and our leave are turning.
Those balloons were awesome! I don't think I want to ride up in one - I prefer to watch them from the ground or on the cam.
Bragg gals are still here and had a whopper of a day at the Pumpkin Patch yesterday. However Izzy has Pneumonia - had x-rays at the ER last evening! She is doing better today and hopefully for the ride home tomorrow she will be much better.

Happy to see the REAL Steelers show up this week. Tired to watch while killing stinkbugs...OMG they are EVERYWHERE today. Over 700 so far. GROOSSSSSSSS!!! The rest are going to have to wait, I'm just too sore to keep going.
Well for sure it would be GREAT if Jo would come to yoga with me...!!! Yet I hear she was clear about not going to yoga today!!!LOL
It is much colder today than it has been for a while and I felt uncomfortable. Having a hot cup of tea and going on with doing laundry and waiting to go to supper tonight.
Yoga practice had a sub not the regular teacher and I did not like the practice. Not enough movement yin yoga she kept calling it and I almost said could we have some yang now!!! Yin is the feminine aspect and yang is the masculine aspect...resting poses are yin active poses are yang...just this charachterisation gets on my nerves truth be told. Most of the women I know are very active...I am just in a complaining phase right now...sorry...the tea will make me feel better...

Well, here we are, just east of Durango, CO. Quite chilly!!
We have wifi and cable. Wahoooo! TX Ranger game has been postponed until tomorrow because of rain. Is that not wild! Some areas have received 6 inches. I emailed our neighbor. They left this morning to go to west Texas. They said we have had over 4 inches and it was still raining. Unbelievable!! In town one person had at least 5 inches. It has been very general so the lakes are getting it too!
We, personally, have no threat of flooding. We are on a slight rise. The land in back does slope down to the house but the runoff goes down both sides. Laurel has flooded once, but that was when they got over 10 inches in a very short period of time. Not happening now.
Tomorrow we are going to put on the hiking boots, grab up the hiking sticks and heading to Mesa Verde Natl. Park. Tuesday is our train ride, and Wed we go to Pagosa Springs. Going to be a fun three days and we head home on Thursday. Low temps tonight in the 20's. May have to disconnect the water hose and flush with a jug of water. lol
Going to drive into Durgango shortly!

I thought of you, dear Hoda, all afternoon as I had on one of the Nat'l Geographic channels and they were doing hours of programming on Egypt. I learned a lot about King Ramsey (sp). Then there was a show on the Tibetan Book of Death which was very interesting.
The leaves here are still very green. There's some dead ones on the ground and you can see some yellowing on a few trees, but peak change of color will probably be later this year.
I haven't even heard the date.
Tomorrow supposed to be even warmer in the 80's!

I have no lap top I never did buy one and June has no puter in mtns they have country cable she says is sooooo slow and hardly no cell phone service at her house only if you go down to the river funny huh being in the mts limits it I guess but at river it works and down in town it does

I saw two eagles soaring today in the valley----they were riding those thermals so lazily, but looked like they were having fun!
In my other nature adventure....have you ever SEEN a praying mantis do a poop shoot? LOL---I did! This huge mantis was all over Frank & Irene's walkway...actually saw him raise his wings, extend his bupkis sideway make a deposit. Within the hour we saw him up on the bedroom window screen---from whence he fell straight down to the grass. Frank got him and he seemed okay.....and then Frank let him crawl all over him!
Cool video at Madame Tussaud's, Hoda! But I sure would like to take my scissors to his hair, as well as all of the other football players whose hair is longer than their helmets! It's just me----and Bill. He says if any of his opponents had ever had long hair, he would have always carried scissors onto the field AND used them!!
aw, too bad you won't be able to blog while you're on your adventure JudyE! I saw that storm system...they are saying it will meet up with the one in Texas now, and head up the coast to give us "tropical" rains Tuesday night and all day Wednesday.UGH.

I am afraid the Pharoas would not recognise the people who calll themselves Egyptians and I feel I do not recognise them either...They burnt a church and they killed Coptic Christians and the hooligans have control of what they refer to as the Spring Revolution!!!The Egypt where I grew up the Egyptian Christians, Jews and Moslems learnt to get along...SHAME ON THEM FOR BURNING CHURCHES...

Aric is on his way back to Dayton with my husband. He'll be home again in 3 1/2 weeks for my parent's 50th Anniversary (we got a flight for $49. for that one) I think the semester is really going to fly from here! Poor Monte hasn't even spent any time at home for over a week. I couldn't handle his job or schedule.
Okay, so Judy is coming in late on the 22nd---I thought she had said the 23rd....and going to NCTC on Monday the 24th!!!

Came home and went to the antique mall so Michael could catch up with one of his friends (he works there). Michael, Laura and Mel left about 4:30..so I mowed the back yard, started some laundry, cleaned out the bird bath and refilled the feeders and took out the A/C's.
Totally scrumptious weather today!!
Oh, interesting how much more the leaves are turned just 15 minutes north of me...

Sorry about your knee Lynn, I am suffering with mine as well. I've been ordered by my bossy husband who is not impressed with my gimping that I am to shower and get off of my feet. Lynne, Nick had a great time with everyone! Poor Laura, she loves dogs and cats, but is allergic to them. She takes Benadryl when she visits...and she felt much better today, too. This is only the second time Nick has seen Michael, but he loves him! He was a little afraid of everyone at first, but he warmed up to them quickly!

Back for awhile. Had a busy but neat day at Park yesterday. Took Flat Stanley who participated in the annual Kids Day in the Kountry!
We konked out after dinner, got up early and worked on Stanley's pictures.He's ready to go back home to TN.
Had to work for a few hours at Chelsea--finished everything at last. Now will have more din din---leftovers from the open hearth cooking yesterday in the 100 year old cabin fireplace~~roasted chicken, red beans and rice, greens, and apple cobbler!

We drove into Durango. It is a neat Colorado town! We went to the train station and got some info. We already have our tickets on line. Went to the museum...it was really cool!

Hi,
We got home a couple of hours ago. Will was here finishing up his laundry. He had been here clearing away brush in the back yard where I want the fence--the brush I just could not get rid of myself this summer.
We had a very busy fun-filled weekend with the gem hunting and then a trip to the Science Museum of Virginia. We had dinner at the Bass Pro Shop. Not as good as some other things we did, though it was an interesting place.
Good Wife is on watching it then some other shows.

Hello to all. I was reading up on all the activities of the group, Lolly's exciting vacation, Paula's Colorfest, JudyE getting excited about her vacation, Lynn excited about her trip to the OBX in a couple weeks, Lori feeling better, Boomer feeling better, Wanda having some intruders, Margy shopping for James, Lynn saw eagles and oh so much more.
I thought I commented on Kay's dear friend Judy, but if not, Praise God for her Grand Promotion and wishing her family and friends peace in their hearts as they mourn her passing. Kay - Enjoy your time with Eileen!
Lori - So happy you're on the mend and feeling so much better.
I see we have aches and pains, too with those darn knees of Lynn and Lynne, Jo's muscles. Prayers that your pain subsides.

Dennis picked another 40lbs of tomatoes yesterday and guess what I did after church this afternoon?? I'm getting pretty efficient at this tomato canning!!

OMG---a horse from Days End Farm Horse Rescue got stuck in 5 feet of mud in a ravine today. Montgomery Co. Fire and Rescue got him out and he was un-injured! This is the place that took the 8 critical horses seized locally summer of '09, and nursed all but one back to health.

Well I just got back. GREAT company we laughed and we ate we shared stories of our childhoods and we reflected. The food was good and it was a wonderful three hours spent with smart intelligent and articulate women...We were the last ones out of the restaurant and it was enjoyable.

I don't know if you, Lynn, have ever hat a cortisone shot in your knee, but, by all means, get one! When I first started getting them, I felt like I had a brand new knee...doesn't work very well anymore, with bone rubbing against bone, so I may be getting a REAL new knee, very soon:)
I saw that horse rescue on 9 news and was reminded that we gave a nice sized donation to the Days End Horse Rescue...as most of us know, they do good work there!
I'm reminiscing about the 'Good Ole Days', when we had Miss Norma on here as our Sunshine Lady, every morning, along with Suz and Candy and myself, first thing in the morning, every morning. I could hardly wait to get out of bed and turn on the computer to see Lib and Belle and our Momster friends. Now, I don't get awake til 8 or 9 am, mainly because I don't go to sleep til so late. Funny how your sleeping habits change over the years. Just go with the flow:)
If I get into bed, right now, that will be early for me, so I'm going~

I am so glad we got the foster kittens back. They're slowly getting better and it's as if you can tell they are grateful. LeRoy follows me around the house as if he's a big, old sweet dog. Andie is here now just purring and pawing on me to pick her up, hold & pet her. These two still had feral moments before. Makes me smile!
Thinking of KAY and glad that Eileen is with her now as she continues her recovery. We miss you, KAY!
Prayers continue for all of KF Judy's family, especically husband Keith. Kay said they were a great couple.

Hi, Everyone,
We're back home! Got home about an hour before sunset. Haven't picked up Emma yet--we will go pick her up at noon tomorrow. They are going to give her a bath. When I called today to let them know when we would like to pick her up, the guy said she was doing very well, and was SO AFFECTIONATE! Looks like she has them wrapped around her little paw! The drive home took us about 8 hours, with 3 stops to get out of the car and move around a bit. Our friend, Andrea D., doesn't have a computer at her house right now. She had WiFi, but the service was so poor that she wasn't able to get online much of the time. She is looking into cable internet right now.
It has taken forever to get caught up here! Prayers continue for Boomer (glad he's getting better!), for Lori's kitties, and also for Kay's friend, Judy, who has made her final journey. So sorry to hear that. Prayers for her family and friends to find peace and comfort.
Prayers for Carolyn's godson, Troy! Hope there will be no lingering after-effects of the concussion.

Prayers needed....Joey (who has had 2 back surgeries is suffering again. He is having a CT scan today. Laurel has inservice, the boys are home with Joey except when he leaves for the scan, then they will be home alone. Joseph is very responsible, not worried about them. Worried about Joey! Football and lifting weights ruined his back. Coaches are not going to like it when he insists his boys do not do squats and lifting.
