Diann, I am so happy to hear about your new pain mgmt. doctor. I pray that you will benefit as much as GG.
She is so much better. She walks without her walker and has never once broken down in tears from her pain, since she has been going to this doctor! Of course, she does have some pain, but that is the extra pain pill is for.
She will be getting MICROWAVED in a few weeks and that is supposed to help with the pain for UP TO A YEAR! Just a few months would be a blessing. She can't keep getting those expensive injections forever, at a thousand dollars a pop! Afraid she would reach her insurance maximum:(

Speaking of microwaves we had to purchase another one last week. Now my stove's electric igniter is out on both the front burners. We have to use those hand lighters if we want to use them.
Not ready to purchase another stove just yet. Want to get my pain under control first!
Wanda.....maybe they do.....I can't remember....I just always checked so that I could keep track of any activity and would see the questions then.
DIANN, I'm not exactly sure about the MICROVAVING, but it must be done with needles, because the doctor (Mary, she is called) told me that the needles are larger than her injection needles and that GG's back will be fairly sore for a day or two. As I understand it, the injections are done to find the exact spot where the pain originates, then, the microwaving zaps the nerve causing the pain and that keeps the pain away. JMHO

Well, Diainn, it seems that our appliances "give out" on us when it is least expected and when our pockets are near empty:(
Maybe I should use one of those avenues to sell my "stuff." I've purchased from ebay but never wanted to learn how to sell there.

Diann I know the injectiion will help. I use to get them. Can't anymore wished I could...they go onto the $500.00 deductible, then there is a $1000.00 deductible I have to meet. Before it will pay more on the shot or the burning of the nerve. Until then I have close to $800.00 I have to make payments on when I get the help with the pain I need. So I just try to live with the pain. Sometimes it is not easy. I am praying your shot will help you a lot HUGS
Yes Wanda when the needle is put in the different spots. She will ask do you feel anything. Until GG says she feels pain either running down her arm or leg or wherever the pain is for her. She will move the needles around. They do this to get the exact area so when the nerve is burnt or an injection is given. It will go to the right area. The soreness is not that bad. They just let you know so you don't worry about it.
And yes, Wanda, it's that time of year when things go bad for us.

Wanda I worry so much with cold weather coming on. That these people or children won't be warm enough. I was looking for those clear rain things you put over your coat. All I found was very thin ones. Which I didn't think would hold up.

Dana, just saw your post. Yes, I've had these injections before my 2nd surgery but they didn't help then.
This doc prescribed a medicine for the nerve pain and it seems to be working. I hope you can get some relief too.

Wanda....an insurance maximum??? I didn't know there was such a thing anymore...usually once you have satisfied all co-pays and reached the out-of-pocket maximum, the insurance pays 100%.

I just left work with some disturbing news one of my AsstMgr told me this Now volunteers at her churches food bank and ask for donations but Walmart gives to Feeding America group Well the terrible news is she found out that Feeding America CHARGES people to get food there and charges a minimal fee to the organizations that get food from them My boss is a little upset witht his We think Walmart is not aware of them charging for the FREE food we donate She is going to do some investigating on it I hope she finds out something That is not righ JMHO

Doing well, it is 56 degrees in my part of Canada yet it speaks of going up to 75 later on today...
Our food bank does charge for our Soup Kitchen food to cover the cost of their workers, of which they have many...sorters, packers, truck loaders and drivers, office personnel, etc. The cost to us is a14¢ a pound for everything, meat, canned foods, which is very reasonable. Then, there is the USDA food from the government which is absolutely free. The USDA is the food that we give our guests, free of charge, to take home. We spend an average of $30.00 a month on Kitchen food. Dairy, produce, and bakery items a free, also.
Hope this makes the Walmart manager feel a little better about what the Food Banks do with their donated food. He does have a right to feel the way he does, not knowing of the facts that I have stated above.

Sorry I went outside to do something and yep I "fell backwards hard onto my back and the back of my head hit the ground". I think I am going to call this year "The Falling Year". No one would really know if it was a book what it would be about if I started it off with other things than "falling". I just took some CVS tylenol. I said I can't walk on uneven ground and usually I do ok but sometimes of course not knowing when it will happen "I fall".
Well I know one thing. I don't have a "hard head". Dang thing hurts. Atleast this time I didn't knock my out.
What's the story on Suzanne?? I don't believe I've heard of any changes lately.

I just went out to feed the fish. Fed them and then picked up Annie who was telling me to pick her up. Was holding and talking to her when a rs hawk took off and flew right over my head. Must have been at a birdbath or in a tree right over my head. Must learn to check before I head out. lol
Sharon just posted 54 minutes ago on facebook that they are taking Justin to Beckley because no one can see him in Bluefield or Princeton. Prayers for them and Justin. Prayers that the doctors can fix Justin up.

Back from Yoga and a very good class it was.There were eight of us and the poses were steady and even and I felt good within doing them.
JUDIE, yes the conditioning class is for paddleres so we can all keep up our strength over the winter months when we are not paddling. I think it looks like we socialise over the winter also by doing periodic group lunches. It will start on the 26th when we meet to see one of the paddleres off to Germany for a month. We meet for supper this time.
DANA WV I am so sorry you fell...do you get dizzy before one of those falls? No our heads are not too strong and banging them is a concern.
A perfect autumn day here. It will not make 75 degrees as predicted.It is 69 right now...very pleasant and I went and bought some socks for when I start wearing shoes and also some socks for when I start wearing boots. I experienced no resistance to this whole expedition which is good!!! It means I am coping well with seasonal change.

We already bought the tickets and I had put in for vaca in Oct for two weeks thinking openhouse was then I was thinking about buzzing up any how in Oct after I leave June and Terrys I was going to ask them to take a road trip with me When I go there we do lots of road trips just get in the car and drive looking at scenery We drive in to VA lots on the parkway and venture to different areas

I hope so, Judy...sometimes thing are not as they seem. Many of the donated meats that we get are from Walmart. Without their donations of chicken and ground beef, we would have a more difficult time pulling meals together for 50 people!
No I don't get dizzy before I fall. It is just hit an uneven place in the grass. That I can't see and loose my balance. In this case I was digging a small tree. I was pulling on it. Yep it finally gave way and me did too.
I have ice on it. Will be sorer tomorrow.
I am more worried about Suzanne than me for now. God Bless Her Heart♥♥♥♥

And she said there is nothing THEY can do unless he doesn't give them to us in time. SO, we'd have to take the car off the road, and they will cite him. BIG trouble for a dealership. SO I think once SHE called, a fire got lit under his arse and hopefully the DMV will work with him to get us the tags. MTBR....

I had to google to find out what a webinar is LYNN!!! So needless to say I do not know how it works...google came up with many sites though...have fun

Hedgie-I've taken several through SMART technologies. The one's I've done I signed onto a web page to sign up for the webinar and then they send a link. I had to log in to the link and connect at the given time. Then I had to dial an 800 number and use my phone to communicate. The computer served as the "chalkboard" and the cursor and everything moved around as the instructor spoke and changed screens and such (if you have ever had Dell or anyone "take over" your computer to resolve and issue it's like that). I heard the audio through the phone and was able to respond to others that way as well and to ask questions. Does that all make sense. I'm not sure I've explained it very well. And I don't know if that's how they all work.

Must tell you that I got the most glowing letter from our friends Jeanne & Danny. He is the fellow that had the heart surgery. He is getting PT now & doing well. Today they got card I sent to hospital 5 weeks ago. I had copied & pasted several of the Momsters Well Wishes to Word & included w/ my card. They were just overwhelmed at the kindness! Jeanne said I was so lucky to have so many wonderful friends! I agree!!Momster prayers do wonders!
Sunday, Sherry was digging in the dirt Outside the bedroom wall in flower bed below window. Her dresser had been against that wall & something on top was found Outside. Her jewelry box was on top,too. When I was in high school, my late Aunt Ann who had lived in the Orient gave me a beautiful sapphire & white gold ring. It was very blue, not blackish. I gave it to Sherry when she turned 16. She found it!!!She said the bottom of stone was filmy but could probably be polished, but the bright blue was shining in the ashes! They had found her engagement ring w/small diamonds that surrounded a center stone (missing). Today she found the center marquise diamond!!!!! I think my Aunt Ann has been watching over her and all of you Momsters well wishes have worked!!

Actually doing very well Paula, on this one to last day of summer...I am considering buying flowers tomorrow to see in the autumn and I will light a candle...won't take out my autumn clothes before Friday though, as I do not have time really...

It is another exhausting night for me. I just can't do what I used to do. I hate that!!
Had to go to the store for a few things to make dinner tonight and it seemed like I started cooking in the kitchen at 2pm today and never got off my feet or out of the kitchen until after 8pm!
Dennis brought in another 56lbs of tomatoes! I started washing them and was going to can them, but my dinner was too involved to do both tonight. I will have to do them tomorrow after work or Friday. Hopefully I will have enough canning jars! He says there are still more tomatoes out there to pick in another several days! Ugh!
Fielding some family problem calls tonight as well.............and all I want to do is take a nice long bath and go to bed!!

water leak from upstairs:
msytery! went up at 0700 and asked lady if she could check her toilet, and asked her to turn off the water valve to it if it was running...she did, and the sound of a waterfall here stopped.
Maintenance checked things out, could not get the problem to recreate itself...so...now it's wait and see. All quiet and dry for now.
Lynne2- sound like the wheels are turning for your permanent tags...

Okay, what happened on Criminal Minds that I would be involved with? I was watching Harry's Law and am so completely disappointed. Whole concept seems changed. Scrappy storefront survivor now in offices with conference rooms, computers, well-dressed lawyers, etc. So very disappointed. Whole premise distorted.

I finished watching Camelot it is a TV series on CBC, The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. I think it too violent and the acting still leaves something to be desired.
