Oh gosh---adding Hope to the prayer list! Please let her be OK.

Linda, you are such a worker!I don't know how you do it!
Margy, how odd the leak stopped at the wrong time!
Lynne, sure hope you can let someone else fight for your tags! Hope you get them soon & you two don't have to stay involved. Sounds like a creep that might not be in business long!
Shirley, I was on a bowling league for almost 20 years. Loved it-had to quit for surgery & knees weren't happy. We played duckpins--smaller balls. If I had to use a 10-12 pounder, I'd be down the alley, too!
So sorry about Suz's Sheba. Guess I'll have to write her snail mail.
Still got one camera to dwnld & then of course pics that didn't get on yet---like hummers!Hopefully tomorrow.
Wishing for good health to all, especiall Kay & Diann~~
Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)

Margy, have a good afternoon with James the Wise!

Jo, bet the Frederick Fair is still great. I remember going a time or two as a kid, as well as Gaithersburg, and Harrisburg!

Oh, Judie, so disappointed to hear about Harry's Law changes....recorded it....may have to strike it off my list.
You can switch to Criminal Minds!!

No rain here since I got home---and not much while I was gone. Cloudy now---can't see a star in the sky! Grest nighttime chorus....cicadas/katydid's/crickets/tree frogs!

Did anyone see Tony Bennett and k.d.lang on The View this AM/ They sure complement well each other in the singing!

hedgie said...

Goodnight to all turning in. Rest peacefully. We have many concerns to ponder, but sweet sleep will ease the burdens.

Lolly said...

Just read where Hope is missing. Quickly went to fb to read the article. Now I am going to have nightmares!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I am taking Justin to Beckley in the morning to an orthopedic doc. Appointment is @ 8:15, going to leave about 7. I will let you know what they say.

Lolly said...

Sharon, we will be thinking of you and Justin in the morning. Hope he is not in too much pain.

I checked facebook and saw nothing about Hope being located. I'm hoping she found an old den and is claiming it for her own!

DIANN...Soup Kitchen didn't run out of food...or was that DANA that asked?

hedgie said...

Hey, gals...these falls have GOT to stop!!! People will accuse us of either being drunk or having dementia! It is a sign of both, you know!!!!

On that happy note, I will say goodnight and God bless.

ONE MORE TIME...
It's late night and all the kiddies are asleep, so I can post this. Karla had this on facebook:

Karla Wright Adams
For everyone who is a little stressed, I am passing this on, because it definitely worked for me today, and we all could use more calm in our lives. I looked around my house to see things I'd started and hadn't finished, so I have managed to finish off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Chardonnay, a bodle of Baileys, a butle of wum, tha mainder of Valiuminun scriptins, an a box a chocletz. Good Morning, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Shirley's Kathryn! I hope it's a special day for her.

HODA, you've got to be one of the busiest women I know! Well, you and Linda with that additional 56 lbs of tomatoes!

DIANN, I'm so glad you're feeling so much better! Answered prayers!

I didn't see much from KAY, if anything. I hope she's resting and continuing her speedy recovery. ♥

MARGY, have a great day with James and the other Grandma. What a blessed little boy he is!

LORETTA, awesome that Sherry recovered some of her most sentimental pieces of jewelry. I never thought of people having to sift through ashes like that. Glad it's paying off.

LYNNE, hoping your tags problem will be fully resolved before you have to take the car off the road. Next time go with your gut! :)

Today is a JUDIE teaching day. Lucky wannabe adults!

LYNN, I always laugh at all the new words we have these days like webinar! But how convenient for you!

ANDY, congrats on your paycheck from the doc! It's a real job!! YAY!

I'll see you Early Birds soon. CAM IS STILL DOWN.

Oh, LOLLY. Socks and Birkenstocks or like sandals...very hip & comfy. :)

Lori, this is an ungodly time to up and about. Hope you and DanaMo don't have fog. Boy it's humid.

Going to catch up with last night's posts, finish my coffee and go back to bed.

Have a blessed day everyone. Catch you later. ♥♥♥♥

Hi DIANN! It's so wonderful having you here early...and I'm sure your hubby loves having you rise and shine before the chickens, too! ((BIG HUG))

DanaMo said...

Good morning!

Loretta-So cool about finding the jewelery. Annemarie lost a ring when she was a baby (yes she was only 3 and was wearing a ring, but I'm Italian and from NY and we love jewelery). Anyway she wore it to mass one Sunday and then I went out to do something, when I came back she had been in the baby pool in the yard with my husband and the ring was gone. The pool got dumped before I got home, we rented a metal detector and everything and never found it. It's always my dream that somehow we find it but since we dug the pool I doubt that will ever happen. I have never stopped looking for it though :(

I can't believe the number of posts to catch up on and comment on after I left last night. We are an active bunch aren't we! :)

I better keep reading...

DanaMo said...

No fog here in Hagerstown. Maybe further west.

Is there going to be a fall gathering of the group? I know some of us don't live to far apart and I would really love to put some faces to names. I'm still so sad about not getting to meet Kay. Maybe when we pick Aric up for Christmas. I don't think I have any extra days until then off of school.

Lori O. said...

Good Morning DanaMO!

I always loved it when little girls had stud earrings. My dad wouldn't let me get my ears pierced until I was in 6th grade.
No makeup until I was 16 -- even then I only wore mascara on dates!

LOL! No dates for Annemarie until she's 30!

Funny DanaMO! My Dad said the same thing when I was little, no dating until you're 30. Then in 9th grade he lowered it to 21... in 10th grade he said, "okay at 18 you can have a boyfriend." Then, when I turned 16 I could only go on a date if my older brother was going to be at the same party, game, where ever!!! No kidding.

I said something to my Dept Mgr the other day how the system has scheduled me at to be in at 8 and 830 from now on and just to let them know that I would not be in at 7 well she said I should go get with a manager and I said why should I that they all know that the schedule misses our schedules up all the time and if they wanted me to be 7-4 they would change it and I shouldn't have to keep reminding them on a weekly basis So I am working the set schedule Lets let them see how it is when I'm not there in the am before the mgr do the walk and thing may not be signed right then maybe they will remember to fix it and that I think I will like the new schedule that way I can sleep in and stay up late and I will be able to see the eagles in the am since sunrise is later and I am at work at that time Ok that is the real reason why I want to stick with the new schedule LOL

So the only time that I will be getting up before 7am from know on will be next year when time changes and the eagle arrive earlier and by then they may have my scheduled changed I was told to just come in and work my old hours but then I told them then I would be on a daily report and not working my scheduled hours and that can be held against you in the future OK enough of ms schedule

GOOD MORNING...

It is a beautiful morning, here in WV. 73° and sunny...going up to 80°With all of this warmth and sun, I think I will be able to pick my Fall crop of green beans, Saturday!
Fall beans are always so beautiful, no spots or insects and they are even tastier. Looks like Saturday's supper will be green beans, potatoes cooked in country ham and baked apples.

My shop is calling my name, but, before I go, I'd like to wish Kathryn a ♫♪♫♪HAPPY BIRTHDAY♫♪♫♪!

Costume Lady said...

One more thing, LYNN, is your visit from Liesl's foster mom a friendly visit or is it a requirement?

wvgal_dana said...

Good Morning Everyone and Lurkers also.

Oh how wonderful Loretta.
Sherry found sapphire & white gold ring that Aunt Ann gave you and you gave to Sherry at age 16. Then the enggagement ring and that center diamond.
That is truly God's Blessings!!!!

It is also great about Danny. Prayers do help ( : ^j^

Prayers that Sissy is successful at
getting the point across.

Oh No Hope is missing???????
Lord let Hope be found please.^j^

Margy nice that you will have time
with James. Margy remember I crack my head a lot so watch those big words--abated but I already knew what that mean't. lol

hedgie said...

Margy, sorry I brought up sad memories. Did I tell you all what I heard about our first house on Ridge Rd.? The lady who bought it from us passed away (also lung cancer), but her sons and their step-father stayed for a few years and then sold it to a single male schoolteacher. One of the sons was in the house recently for some reason, and told Christie that "our" beautifully finished basement is nothing but a mold-hole. The guy has not run a dehumidifier, and Travis said that the paneling and carpet is actually covered with mold and reeks. He says that the house really needs to be bull-dozed, it is so bad. Very sad......ex's uncle put SO much craftsmanship into the work he did for us. :(

Wanda that was so funny what Karla wrote lol

wvgal_dana said...

hedgie said...

Hi, Bob! How's everything with you? Have you been observing the construction progress at BW?

Good Morning - so thankful that Justin

Happy Birthday, Kathryn! Enjoy a special day for yourself - dinner with family sounds like a celebration!

Liesl gal, you strut your stuff and make your momma proud!

Dana, remember "Heads Up" at all times!

Wanda = what time will you Sat dinner
be on the table?

Shirley - I think it is great about the bowling league and the bridge club. You are making retirement sound good to others.

Sorry that this cam isn't working for us. Boo Hiss!

paula eagleholic said...

Oh, good news on the rescue Lynn. did they post on FB?

The foster Mom is still crying over Liesl leaving??? Doesn't sound like she should be a foster Mom...unless those are tears of joy and not sadness....but still...whew.

BoB, hope the CPAP machine helps. Is your place in Easton or Cambridge?

Margy, have a fun day with James!

Bob Quinn said...

Paula - We're in Easton.

Judie said...

Good afternoon all.

Hi Bob, glad you stopped by. How's things going for you?

Sharon, good news about Justin. So happy it wasn't worse.

Lynn, Harry's Law might be okay if I can get used to it. Just preferred the underdog store-front concept better. Guess the visit is over and I'm sure it went well. Sorry about the condition of the Ridge Rd. house. Sad.

By-the-way, Lynn, I couldn't help but remember when I read your comment about falling and dementia. Darth's mom started having frequent falls for no apparent reason. That was not long before the early dementia became apparent.

Margy, wishing you an amazing afternoon with James the Wise. Sorry about the death of your brother-in-law. Prayers for you and the family.

Shirley, that $4.00 is a good start on a 20lb bowling ball.

♪♪HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KATHRYN♪♪ and to the birthday mom.

Andy, so pleased you received a paycheck. I anticipate lots and lots of Emma toys.

Judy, have fun with Jordyn. Is Winter the dolphin with the prosthetic tail?

Okay, nearly time to depart for home. Wishing all a happy afternoon.

Judie - Except for the dizziness, headaches and fatigue everything is just fine. Seriously. Life is good. ☺

Mema Jo said...

Bob - great to hear from you. I hope
your sever sleep apnea will be getting better with the use of the CPAP machine next week. I am thankful you got it
diagnosed. Don't want you falling asleep on the job! (hugs))

Judie said...

Bob, Darth uses a CPAP machine. It took some getting used to but he is sleeping more and feeling more rested. Sure hoping it will be a great help to you. Sorry the BW access is so limited. Love your pictures. Well, something to look forward to in the future. Take care.

hedgie said...

Bob, how are the sales going? Great that BW is stocking them! I MUST remember to bring mine to our next gathering for another BQ autograph!!!

Shar--so relieved to hear that Justin's fx isn't TOO bad. Does he do any sports at school? Hope it doesn't mess up his whole season if he does.

Bob Quinn said...

Thanks Judie and Jo. Everyone I talk to that uses a CPAP machine says it has made a big difference for them. Even if it not the cause of my current symptoms I am looking forward to getting better sleep and feeling more energized. The sleep study showed at one point I had 49 apnea "events" during one hour. The longest one was for 92 seconds without breathing.

hedgie said...

Oh, Bob....so many people suffer from the sleep apnea. The CPAP will really help you get GOOD sleep! My SIL won't wear his most of the time which really ticks us off.

Kay said...

Oh, for cute ! Liesl cried with her foster mom ! Dogs are so empathetic ! I got a Malcolm fix when Julie took me to their house for dinner last night. He was ecstatic ! She's doing the same today--nice and sunny so I'll be there early to soak up some badly needed rays. She is really "mothering" me, so concerned about my iron level and socking the proteins to me.

Haven't had enough stamina to do the blog justice but have gleaned some info.

So sorry to hear of losses suffered by MARGY, LOLLY and SUZ. Concerned about the missing Hope.

But, so happy to hear about LORETTA's kids recovering valued items from the ashes. And, to hear SHARON'S report on Justin's toes.

Missing you all and missing our cam, too.

Glad to hear JUSTIN is back from the doctor's and that all is looked after for a few weeks.

hedgie said...

Paula....yes, it was on FB about the golden's.
Foster mom's tears are both happy and sad. She misses her "love bug" but she's also thrilled to see how well she is doing in all regards.

Bob, WOW----that's a LONG time without breathing!!! Whew!

Judie, I guess your MIL's situation verify's what I read about falling for no apparent reason.

hedgie said...

More bad weather on th ehoriszon----flood watches out for most of MD and northern VA.....y'all be careful!!! Remember "TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN!!!"

Hoda said...

How long does LIESL'S foster mom have to keep visiting? LIESL only has one MOM and that is LYNN so what is with the visits?

BOB I am glad you are very positive and I hope your book sales are also going well. Good on you for looking after the sleep apnea diagnosis and it must be a releif to get it named...I hope the other symptoms are addressed soon. Do you drive? When I got dizzy for a few days I wondered about driving...I still did but I always had it in the back of my head that I could get dizzy...not a good feeling.

hedgie said...

SISSY-----did you go to the commission meeting???? Was it Standing Room Only???? Sure would have loved to have been there!

Bob Quinn said...

Hoda - Yep, still driving every day. I suspect the symptoms are not related to the apnea. May or may not be related to the concussion in May. Docs are still looking.

hedgie said...

Hey Kay and Howdy Hoda! Good to see you gals!
Kay, Julie is truly your Jewel! I am so glad that she is trying to pump the iron-building food into you. I bet Malcolm just LOVED all over Grandma!! Hope that you are getting sunshine bright enough to work! Not here!
Oh, Hoda...there is no requirement for the visits! In fact, I suspect that if the rescue knew she was doing it, they would make her stop!! Fosters are not supposed to get so attached---which is why I could NEVER be a foster!!!! LOL----I would probably end up a hoarder! She is just a really good person, tho'...I think she is just a mothering type; her kids are past the stage of needing lots of the smothering love....so she has transferred HER need for that to the foster dogs.....Leisl and her littermate were her firsts.

Good Morning, Everyone!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SHIRLEY'S KATHRYN! Hope it's a great day from start to finish!

Sharon & Thelma, glad to hear that Justin is officially on the mend!
Healing prayers continue.

Hi, Bob! Good to see you here. Prayers for the "head issues" and the sleep apnea!

Lynn, great news about the rescued goldies! Hope they all find super furever homes!

Judie, you're right--Miss Emma is not lacking for doggy toys. Have to hide all but a couple and rotate them, or we'd not be able to walk safely around here!

Well, I'm working feverishly on medical transcription today. This doctor seems to have dry spells, then all of a sudden, sends LOTS of work! Will check back in later, but gotta stay on task right now.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day.
BBL! :o]

Wishing you well BOB as the doctors continue to work on finding out the causes.

BOB, I feel so badly that you have gone undiagnosed for so long. I'm wondering how long you have had this Apnea...I guess no one knows.
We will be anxious to hear how the CPAP works for you. Please keep in touch and let us know ((Hugs))

hedgie said...

8 SB's torched outside door---guess the invasion is starting.
Lynne---you need to ask your landlord to have your house exterminated in one of those tent balloon things!!

hedgie said...

Webinar was very informative. Government is very serious about the efforts to ensure that animals are taken care of in the event of disasters. It was audio and visual slide, as well as a running commentary like NBG has on their cam page. Q&A at end---we typed questions and they answered aloud.

Costume Lady said...

Those SBs are starting here, also. We have them on all doors and windows, just waiting for a chance to come in. You may find a way to get rid of them (we use the soapy water in a spam can method), but there is always more where they came from:(

Costume Lady said...

Hey, Lynn, that sounds really neat!
Amazing how we can communicate these days. I hope I live a very long time, just to see all these wonderful things that they are coming up with and inventing.

Hunter is working on his math homework. Keeps arguing that he is right and I am wrong, but then he realizes that Grandma is right. Hmm, this is better than arguing that he wants to have some wrong answers so he can be like the other kids.

Quick visit.

Hi Hoda. Really hope you and the paddling team had a good end-of-season final voyage along the river. Oh, and a little extra sleep never hurts.

Kay, what a terrific way to speed recovery -- dinner cooked FOR you with a side-dish of Malcolm kisses. Thanks for visiting.

SBC = 6. Love the observation about flies from Lynn's MIL. So true.

Yes, Lynn. Harry's character is still the same but I'll just have to give it another try.

Wanda, I was reading the blog in the office and read Karla's cure for unfinished tasks. Laughing so much he wanted to know what was going on. He read the comments and wants me to copy and send to him. Do I have your permission? Says he doesn't want to end up in copyright court.

Shirley, from this point on you are to be known as Saint Shirley. Sure hope there weren't too many math problems.

Okay, off to seek out dinner inspirations.

I see ya'll saw the news about mei lan!

Lynne2 said...

Home now, and Steve killed about 100 more since I talked to him from work, and we killed about another 100 since I've been home. THIS IS JUST AWFUL!!!

BUT....in the midst of the madness, you'll never guess what greeted me at the door!

TWO brand new Monarch chrysalis and 2 cats hanging in a J waiting to turn!! YAY YAY! My milkweed was so lousy this year, and I only saw maybe 5 adults all year this year, and I did see 2 females lay eggs on the milkweed, but never found but one tiny cat. I'm so excited! One Crys is hanging on the little over head awning above the door into the sun porch, the other is hanging from the bottom of siding next to door, and so are the 2 cats!

And Steve found a Ribbon Snake out in the dog field this afternoon while mowing!

Lynne2 said...

AND, the Monarchs are on the move....saw 3 on the bypass heading to work, and one in the yard as I was walking in!

I love nature! Except for STINKBUGS

Judie said...

Well, I do hope Mei Lan doesn't develop multiple personality disorder. Bless his heart. Wish him well.

Lynne, out of all the misery there is something joyful to celebrate. So happy you have butterflies to be. Maybe this should be another issue for your landlord -- stinkbug extermination. Well, it was wishful thinking.

Shirley, glad you had a nice dinner out. You deserved it.

Lynne2 said...

Lynne2 said...

Judie, based on Steve's observations of the outside of THEIR house next door when he took the mail over, they are dealing with the same thing! No know way to kill them. Wish they'd hurry up and figure something out. Can't even imagine what this huge increase will do to the farmers....OMG! If I remember correctly, the most we had in one day last year was 200. BUT, it seems like they are later this year.

Whew.....life sure is busy and exhausting!! Good evening to you!!

Today was another busy one for me working at both locations, so it was a full day today. Glad it's only once a week!!

Loretta – I like to work, but I don’t think I work too hard. I wish I could accomplish more in a day. Many days I think I sleep as many hours as I am up!! Love my sleep! LOL

Shirley – My son’s birthday is today, too!! My Adam is 24 years old today and I must say it is a day for me to celebrate as much or more as him! Today I celebrate the 24 years of love, happiness and joy he has brought to my life. I am truly blessed to have such a grounded, strong Christian young man as MY son!!

KAY – If I remember correctly, the 23rd is your Julie’s Birthday!! Happy Birthday to Julie tomorrow – your wonderful caring daughter who we are thankful is there for you during this difficult time you’re having. Praying that you are feeling better with each passing day.

Margy – Hoping to hear you had a great day with James the Wise! Come on over anytime tomorrow for our tomato canning session, okay? I’ll have the coffee on early! It would be so fun to can with you!!

Wanda – We couldn’t get green beans this year for nothing!! Dennis planted 50 feet of green beans TWICE. The bunnies got them both times and they are still enjoying all sorts of things in the garden. They are even eating the lower grape leaves!! They are adorable, though!

WV Dana – We will enjoy the tomatoes, especially because I like to cook it down to a thicker sauce or puree for sauce. We can also give some jars to friends and family.

Lynne – That is horrible news on the Stink Bugs!!

magpie said...

Well Thanks Paula....

I'll make a picture of it for James to see when I see him next...

would LOVE to be there during this harvest season, or ANY time for that matter ...

Happy Birthday to your son Adam !! ♥ ☺

Was he a Fall or a Summer baby back when he was born? Wanted to ask the same question of Shirley, about Kathryn....

Linda said...

Margy - Well 19 tomatoes is a lot for what you're growing!! Kudos!!

Don't know if Adam was a Summer or Fall baby back then. I thought he was a Summer, but how would I know?

the house you mention with the tan siding..if I saw correctly today...is the former Mayor Moore's house...I think it is called The Summit House...mine was on South Mary Street, across from the church....
It used to be tan when I was there, is white now;
very uninspiring, but in better shape than when I had it

If it was in 1987, (I am trying old math on this) I believe Autumn started on Sept 22 that year...so now it might come down to the time on that day he was born...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KATHRYN & ADAM! 2nd generation Momsters & Dadsters!

Margy, glad you had a great day w/James. What a wonderful SB nabber! Is it like those zappers?
Sounds like something for Lynne!

I guess there might be Something on TV, but I hear boring blabbering-politicicans.
Been working on other pics & got a brain cramp on a common flower name!!Had to go thru plant book. Must be senility!! LOL

Linda said...

I cheated...... I googled it and found a site that tells the date of the autumnal equinox and it even mentioned the 23rd was on a Wednesday in 1987. Adam was born on Tuesday evening!! I don't think I saw him until after midnight, though, so technically I didn't see him till the 23rd.

They had to do an emergency c-section and it took forever for me to come out of the anesthesia!

magpie said...

Okay, Linda,
you are good on Google !
by the way, I remembered what I read about freezing tomatoes, seemed like a lot of work because the info said to remove all the seeds....? that seems impossible!
