I was trying to fill Suzanne in on the third egg thing, and she came up with this fact concerning the third one last year:
"She would be exactly on her schedule if she did lay another one. Last year she laid egg number 3 4 days after egg number 2. Today is day 4 after laying egg number 2 for this year.
2008 season:
1st egg between 1-4 Feb 08 (cam was down, but egg was there on 4th when cam repaired)
2nd egg before 2000 on 6 Feb 08
3rd egg on/about 0530 hrs 10 Feb 08
2009 season:
1st egg 31 Jan 09 somewhere between 0200-0245
2nd egg around 1921 hrs 2 Feb 09
3rd egg if she has one is due today sometime, 6 Feb 09.
I was hoping she would stick to two eggs this year, give them a bit of a break. But we'll see. If there is an egg there, I'm sure someone will see it sometime today.

Mits it is fine. When it woke up it was very thirsty. Just like us humans. It will be on antibiotics and a soft diet. fish with no head or tail.

Yes NORMA, no homemade bread and sausage for the next few months. This is serious! :) I do not diet unless I DIET. This is the second time I have ever done this. Lost over 30 pounds one time, this time I am aiming for 40. I am eating, eating good...veggies and fruit and getting the right stuff and walking with a DVD. Retirement caught up with me! I will be more careful from now on. HO! Jack and I like to cook, will continue to do so, but the good stuff will just have to come less often.

We are keeping our eyes out for Mama Owl. There are signs that she has visited the nest but we have only seen her in the trees on the south east end of campus, in the trees at FACT.

Over the last week, Xi Lan has urinated twice. I was somewhat surprised to see this, because I don’t remember Mei Lan having any noticeable urine when she was this age. This is not the first time that I have seen urine from Xi Lan; the first time was about a month ago. He must be doing more than just playing in the water bowl! We should be seeing him urinate more frequently as he gets older.
How can I tell that its Xi Lan's urine, you might be asking? Well, there are two ways to distinguish Xi Lan's urine from Lun Lun's urine. The first way is color- it is bright yellow, almost neon in color. That is normally the first indication, but we don't draw our conclusion on color alone. The other characteristic that distinguishes it is the unique odor. I can't really describe the smell, but it is much different than that of the adult giant pandas, and something that I definitely won’t forget.
Well, I hope that this topic didn't gross anyone out too much. For most keepers, urine doesn't bother us much, because it's pretty much a part of our every day life.

I think that comment was misleading. I think they meant urinate on his own. Mom's do the job just like for puppies and kittens.
