We saw at least 2 short eared owls prowling the fields looking for dinner. There have been 7 reported in that area. Then we saw a flock of snow buntings. snow at Pix PA.

BWO that is...still your hearts, not our nest yet..
Yes, Wanda, and Jo posted a link to the Barred Owl hooting...
that sure looks like an Eagle wing coming across our camera! (don't think it is...)
I can't play for much longer this morning, I really would like to see the whole bird!
bird site back up in Scotland, but no sound again! :(
Well, time to get ready to scoot
You all have a good day, "see" you later...
Good AM, Eagle Buds!!
Whoops--looks like bigger debris blowing across lens today. Wind has changed directions, too, since what we saw last night. Looks like tape or a strap, when it's still almost looks like man's tie!!
The Capt. is sleeping in this morning...so I need to turn the heat up and the coffee pot on. Maybe that will wake him up!
BBS
Oh,hi Loretta. That is some weird looking stuff going on in the nest, isn't it?
Back after coffee....
Turkey Tribe in Pix PA !
TTFN out the door xoxo
Hi Loretta !
The dark on the white snow there is so beautiful...think they are all hens....
Good morning everyone. Whatever is flapping in the breeze is close enough to the microphone that you can hear it now. Sure does look pretty windy there today. Need to send Wanda out there with Debs high power lens so we can all see what it is. Maybe Steve has an idea.
Eagle alert. Our nest.
She is looking at whatever is flapping too.
ha ha and the wing of another one fanning the nest while he/she works. Good morning all.
nice to turn puter on and see an eagle
Morning all. We have a visitor. Whatever that is flapping above the nest is bothering the eagle. He/she keeps staring at it. Hope it doesn't make them hesitate about being in the nest. It is definitely a distraction to them.
or maybe we don't think its a wing. hmmmm well maybe I should go get some coffee and Dex his dog treats.
Don't think thats a wing Glo, Something has blown loose around the camera area. Just haven't figured out what yet.
well if it isn't an eagle but a distraction then yes we may have a problem that will need addressed.
GOOD FRIDAY A.M. EVERYONE
and it needs addressed soon. Man I surely hope this one gets attention very quickly. We don't want to move them away from that nest. argh!!!
Sure looks blustery in the nest this morning. We have about 1/2 an inch of snow but it looks like it is going to snow more now. Temp has been dropping all morning.
I think Nu may need another climb to see what came loose. Maybe he could adjust cam angle a little better too. After the wind settles down of course.
Could something like that make them abandon the nest? Surely not!
Crows are close.

SISSY it is probably a plastic bag:):)
Sharon says it is bark, sycamore loses its bark alot she says. Can't blame Nu.
EAGLE ALERT OUR NEST !!
well, what ever it is he sure does not look worried
EAGLE ALERT OUR NEST !!
Maybe if it annoys her enough she will rip it off herself.
Well read some comments back and see you all know that.
I do think also that our eagle does not like whatever it is that is blowing.
Could be something that blew in from somewhere else.
Good morning Dana.
I think Sharon is correct it is just the peeling bark from the sycamore tree and if he was bothered by it he would have flown out long ago...he is fine
How is everyone this morning? Bark does make sense and it is wide, doesn't look like rope.
Mits, plastic bags in trees is one of my biggest pet peeves. Just the ultimate in people ruining our beautiful planet!!
Sissy, I know it is one of your peeves:)I saw your pics.
Good Morning Everyone
I was over reading Jim's blue link to IWS he put on earlier. Thank you Jim.
Hope those that have been sick or injuries are feeling better today.
I am beginning to think whatever is flapping. Is worrying us more than our eagle.
Boy, looks like the wind is almost blowing our eagle out of the nest!
gone off the launch pad
Poof!
I'm getting seasick! LOL
lol Loretta one year we watched at nest. I believe it was Sidney not sure. That tree and nest really moved and we did feel sea sick. It moved most of the time.

New thread is up w/ info!
Good morning, everyone. I am watching Survivor. See there was a visit this morning and we have something dangling from above the camera.
DEB, we have a new thread..
Morning all. Just read yesterday's comments and wanted to chime in about my birding foray on Wednesday. I went with my expert (my words) neighbor to an old strip mine area. We saw at least 2 short eared owls prowling the fields looking for dinner. There have been 7 reported in that area. Then we saw a flock of snow buntings. My friend said she hadn't seen any in 10 years. I am glad she was with me because I could never have identified them.
Windy day in ME and nothing else to report for myrecent cam visits.
A little snow here--hope the roads are ok, Mom has a hair appointment this morning. BBL, you all be good.
