Happy Saturday Evening, all! Thanks for the new thread, Steve.
Thanks for the late night thread, SteveGood evening everyone...
Thanks for the heads up, Paula, and thanks for the new thread, Steve!
Went to mass - ate dinner out - came home and now relaxing - did watch end of a movie.I'm like you Hedgie - Too early but bed sure sounds great!Paula - Glad you are home safe & sound. Hope your mom is in good spirits.
Oh Hello ! There is a Gaze of Racoons at Pix Pa....or it is Mess o'Racoons..Haven't check prior threat yet, maybe this is old news....xo ☺
The puppies are back home, raccoons in Pix PA.
Catch you all in about 200 blog posts, got to see what I missed, all the people and animal news...♥
Oh Cool, Deb, we were watching the stripies at the same time...xo ☺☺
3 moose on cam lying down for the night
Good evening all. Went to a Christmas dinner tonight that was really good.
Deb - saw you mentioned the Tracks on the burrowing owl cam. Wish we could catch him out & about.
Me, too, Jo. I had it open all day and didn't see any change after I noticed the tracks, so we will need to watch earlier.
Oh Man, I am dying ! What I missed today! I knew I should have asked if Ceil was leaving from DC !! I was in Martinsburg about the time the Capitol Limited would have gone through, and had she been on the side of the train facing the terminal, she might have fallen over to see the Magpie on the Platform jumping up and down !!
Watching the ice skating at NYCRockerfeller Center
I am so excited about the Tundra Swans that Nature Nut saw today...just checked for pictures, and cannot find anything yet, of them nor the Eagle....maybe later? Or I am not looking in the right place...I had Norfolk up early this morning and saw one, then two, then one, then none, then I checked out....
I cannot wait to grill NormaByrd about her upcoming visit to Shepherdstown for Christmas! Maybe when Ceil returns, I can catch her on the flip flop and tell her to sit on the terminal side when coming through Martinsburg! That would be worth taking off work for ! It comes through around 11:35 AM, when it is on time....(which it often, IS NOT, but I can call the 800 number and check on the schedule. I would love that ! ♥
Hedgie: M the guy that the chopper was looking for (and I can't believe they could come out with the cloud cover...) had run from the police when they tried to pat him down, thought they felt a weapon in his pocket, and away bad guy went running on foot, and that was after about an hour of playing ring around the rosey with him about his identity...I got off work about the time the helicopter was due to get in the area....
Did anyone see the animal with the skinny tail on PIX PA besides me? I got a picture of it, but it is a lousy picture.
Hi Sharon - Holidays does mean goooooood Food! I bet the friendships there were just as good as the food!
Man oh man, shopping with a little one, (grandson, who else??) - encouraging him to find some little gifties for others, can be a Real Challenge this time of the year...but we managed to pull it together, him and his Dad..AND we bought some cookies to put out for Santa.I am way late in getting Christmas cards out, but found some real gems at K-Mart, so in a way I guess I am glad I am late getting to it.... xoxo Hello Everyone, you can tell I have a lot of pent-up Jabber in me ! ☺ ♥
Margy - the train would probably have stopped and picked you up thinking you were flagging them down!!
I do not like the sound of the weather forecast... I feel so bad for the homeless or nearly homeless, and those in ramshackle housing...it's a sad part of the holiday...And tonight, the last night of Autumn...tomorrow at 0704 Eastern Standard Time, we are officially in Winter.
Deb - where is the pic?Was it an opossum?
Just checked out all your bird feeder pics Deb. Quite a variety of birds!
Check your mail, Jo!
Deb - I didn't - because I was over her talking my head off ! Do you think, maybe Possum? You can post your picture...we can study it and make guesses ! Mema Jo, I might have just jumped on that train! I could have gotten off at Cumberland, and had my brother in Frostburg put me up for the night and bring me home... ☺ ☺ or - gotten snowed in up there with him....! Not sure workplace would have liked that come 6 pm Sunday though....
I am certain without a doubt that it is an opossum in your picture. I saw him there one other evening rather late.
I put it on Nest Pictures, too, just now.
And I would love to have seen the Cat at Pix Pa...what were its colorings? We have seen two different ones there this year so far, on white and black, and one, mostly brown or something mottled...
lol Maybe it is an overgrown RAT that the cat was after earlier!!!
Ok, thanks, I don't think I have ever seen a possum before!
It was the mottled cat, Margy, I sent that picture to momsters mail.
I hear birds at NCTC - oh, how I wish it would be Tundra Swans and they swing by here....gotta go outside and check...Yep, I say possum too...fat little thing, but they are one of the cleanest animals, according to my DNR calendar...
LOL, Deb...sorry had to laugh...you've never seen a possum? They are everywhere around here...
They were in and out all day at my feeders and the Okie feeders today. I finally figured out if I stand on my couch I can get a fairly good picture through the window.
Okay, Deb - I will head over there, after checking your birdfeeder pics. I loved Glo's story about the lady at the shelter and the Peanut Butter Treats for Dex....what a special place and all that people there are.... and I agree, Santa does look like Lolly's Jack! I think Wanda mentioned that this morning...
Sent you a pic on email of our Possum of a few weeks ago, Deb...he's quite the looker !! ☺
Hi Paula, it sure is good to see you tonight. Bet your house and yard look all twinkly and beautiful...
Wow, awesome birds, Deb, now, on to find the cat !
I remember that, Margy, here I just saw the back of the animal, but mostly saw that skinny tail.
If I did see one in the wild, Paula, it has been so long ago, I forgot about it.
Okay, just cruised through a few sites. I think that cat is the same one that Chrissy captured and sent around, but, that white under the neck, I don't remember seeing on her picture...Wow what was that at our nest !!
Holey Moley ! What could be up there near the Mic ?didn't see anything, just can hear it !
Magpie..I don't have the nest up...you hear birds?
No, just sounded like something very close to the mic, still making some noises now but not as loud...kind of sounded like something landed....
Something is still messing around up there...
I hear Geese....could be tundras...cannot tell for sure, maybe just Canada Geese, straining my eardrums, volume is up high as it will go..
FYI - Puleston site has a couple of neat additions, one of a red-winged blackbird hitchiking on the back of a hawk, and another pictorial and story about gulls and some ducks and things in Vancouver, BC. Some really neat stuff there...
Six racoons at Pix Pa and it is funny to see that Big Smile on the Snowman at the Snowman cam....guess he is truly in his element...☺
I can only hear the wind ------but then I am deaf in one ear & can't hear too well out of the other.......I have the speakers turned up really high........
All's quiet now at our Nest, except for the wind picking up... hope the cameras survive the bad weather coming upWell, I am going to bed soon, and getting up before dawn to start Christmas cards....sure am glad I don't have to work tonight with the weather forecast what it is... Peace, Love and Prayers to all, and God Bless Us, Every One...xo ♥
Yo, Mema...my boss thinks I need my ears checked! I don't think so, but if she recommends it, then the county doctors can foot the bill.... Nighty Night, special people...turning all the cams and blogs off now....Sleep Well, and wake up to Winter ! xoxo
Okay I wasn't going to do this, (come back on ) but I wanted to share a little treasure with you. Grandson, his father and I wolf down some chow at Burger King after shopping, he has his usual dozen chicken nuggets. Totally without provocation after eating, he goes to the counter, and tells the first guy he sees what good cooks they are! It put a big smile on the young counter attendant's face, and he wished James a hearty Merry Christmas! I try not to go on and on about the grandson, but, sometimes I can't resist. He is such a blessing in my life. Okay, now I can go to sleep. With a couple of handfuls of prayers...xo ☺ ♥
Sounds as though grandson has a Great Mentor!Going to call it a day... I think Hedgie fell asleep.. Not sure where everyone else is - Not out shopping I hope!Peace to you & yoursPrayers for all our needs being said(((hugs))) ♥ ♥ ♥
Hey, Margie...hope I catch you before you hit the pillows! Wondered what you had been up to today! There was a highway fatality early this evening, but didn't catch location. Apparently also something big on the bypass in CT. Hope you rest well.....the Christmas cards won't mind if you sleep past dawn!!Good night, fowl friends. Prayers for all. Hope the bad weather misses us all!
Watched Christmas movies this evening...really gets you in the spirit.MARGY, talk all you want about grandson...love to hear it! Such a sweet thing he must be. Takes after his Grammy:)I'm going to join the rest of you...Night, Night time.GOOD NIGHT EVERYONESWEET DREAMSPRAYERS(Deb, I think it is a possum, too)
Night all, thanks for the possum id!
Cowboys 24Ravens 33Great Game!
You will not believe this ! We had an Eagle in the Nest right now, snoozing away.....!
I can tell you this much....I have been up and down all night, and when I looked in at 3 AM, this bird was not there...
...And now...to try to see what happens next....Good Sunday Morning to All!I put a pic out on the Momsters email.. ☺
I figure this is Belle. She just raised her head up, looked around, then settled back in...
Doing nestorations now...
Fussed around a little and now back to snoozin'I think maybe Liberty is in the branch, just heard some noise near the microphone, and when she was up moving around, she was looking up towards a branch... ☺
I know you all are going to about have heart failure if this bird is still roosting when you check in this morning...
RDHC has a new view..the apple feeder has been relocated, and there were deer there overnightI cannot get Norfolk to open up, yet -
I sent Steve a Picture of the Bird in the Nest...
Got Norfolk opened but screen all black, but I do hear Eagles calling at Maine...☺
Female Pheasant is at Scottish feeder ☺
Might be raining or something at the nest....funny squiggly lines in addition to the Spidey web
GOOD MORNING MARGY,How long has our visitor been in the nest?
It looks like Lib and he's ASLEEP!
Oh, thank Goodness, Company on here!I saw her at 0453 - not sure how long before that, but when I looked in around 3 o'clock she was not there.....I am beyond excited ! xoxo ♥
And an eagle in the snowy nest at Maine !!!
I just assumed it was Belle..'cause mothers do that kind of thing, keep the nest warm and all...she or he has only moved around a little bit, so I could not really tell....
Eagle at Maine has a Meal !
Maybe he/she is showing ownership of that nest...Must mean they are thinking very strongly about a NEW FAMILY. Sooooo exciting!
Second eagle made a noisy arrival in Maine and pretty much chased the first one off the nest...that is NOT playing nice! Blogger Cop is awake too...
And it is snowing and blowing at Maine, and I hear a noise at our microphone...
It is now officially Winter !
He/she is awake!
Yes, Wanda I remember reading that when the birds start spending the night in the nest they are getting serious about getting those eggs laid ! I know it is too early, but it is a good sign ☺ ♥
Okay, stirring in the nest now!We need more Momsters and Dadsters !
Doing some nestorations, now.
BIG STICK! Looks like a log:)
Another big stick. So busy, so early:)
OK, another one came in as the other one flew off...but which one?
I think that is Liberty...but I am not an expert...the first one looked big and long, what a fly out! I was trying to save some pics, but got rejected, got just one.
Eagle at Maine still chowing down!
Well, heck, I don't know !!!
GONE...that was so cool, to hear the flutter of the wings!
Yeah, and did you see the stuff in the nest wiggle and move?Wanda, I am glad you were here with me on this !
Do you have time to look at the Eagle at Maine ? Nice!
I couldn't get a "fly out" either Margy:(
And now, gone! Wonder if he left anything for the other Eagle??
My car windshield is all iced up.. Be careful Wanda if you go out !And my kitchen table is all full of Christmas cards, addresses, stickers, address labels....oh brother, I am getting a late start !
But I couldn't take my eyes off OUR NEST for very long at a time...☺ I am happy ☺
I think they will be back, to our nest...maybe getting some breakfast at Betty's! Everyone, please have a safe and warm day today...xox
The Maine nest is beautiful, but empty for now.
I saw a nice bunny rabbit at RHDC - couldn't get a screen grab on that one either...that was about an hour ago...
I did see the female Pheasant in Scotland this morning, Wanda, she was beautiful !
I can't tell if there is ice on my car..too far away, but I will be sure to call GeeGee and tell her to stay put today. No church for her or us either if the roads are icy. I don't do ice!
Okay, pen in hand, here I go...
I have sooo many 'favorites bookmarked' that it takes forever to look them up. Need to delete some of them.
OK, Margy...git er dun!
Yes, Wanda...me neither. Good idea to make that call...it is NOT NICE out there...Take Care!Boy I sure ate up the Blog this morning! Sorry to be such a Hog !
It's a rough job, Margy, but somebody's got to do it, and who better than you:):)
Good morning everyone. New Thread head on over.
