Thx for new thread, Steve! HO, HO, HO! Hope Everyone had a nice Xmas! Bob has some Kitty Xmas oics up on PBase. Looks like our house. When we went to son's for family dinner on Xmas, we locked our little fiber optic tree in a room. No decorations except top star so they can't hurt it, but older cat wants to eat the needles! She likes to eat thin ribbons too! See I missed our birds' visit, but since they seem to be visiting after noon, maybe I'll see them at work.
Thanks for the heads up LORETTA and thanks Steve for the new thread. I was off looking for a New Years Avatar and came back to your alert,Loretta, of new thread. Now I can use my new avatar. :)
Good Friday morning HELEN! Good to see you up and moving. I have been on here since seeing the eagles and I think it is time for coffee and coffee cake. Maybe I'll see WANDA in my travels by the coffeemaker. :)

Forgot to mention that Aaron got me one of the St Jude's Hospital stuffed Panda and panda cub. He is so cuddly and I thought I had lost them when Alexis came to visit.... Like why oh why would Mema need a stuffed Panda bear and cub! I convinced her that I really needed it!
PAULA So glad to hear that your mother finally made her turn towards getting better and home. We visited with our friend in the nursing home yesterday, and they have her up and walking a little and doing therapy. Can't wait until she can go home, too.
JO, I can just see that little girls' eyes looking up and you and wondering why you needed those pandas. It can just about break your heart. Glad to hear that your steeled yourself and kept them. :)
Lun Lun is making me mervous with her carrying around Luney and putting him up on the branch bars. Now she dragged him into the hole in the wall. No sight of ,,,Here they comeback out; Luney still being dragged by Mom. He is on all four feed, so guess she is trying to show him how to walk better. And now back into the hole in the wall out of sight and peek out again still dragging Luney. He just lays there lke a stuffed panda and takes it.
Good evening, fowl friends! Sounds like evetone is having a fun day! I slept in--really needed that! Ran a few errands, took a panda nap, and been gradually putting away china, silver, etc. Been playing with my new camera that my girls gave me, too!! Still trying to figure out all the little details! Great visits today, huh?? Nice pics, Bob!
What kind of camera did you get?? They are so much fun, whatever you use them for.
I saw a rough-legged hawk eating some road kill on my way home today, but I don't take my camera with when I am going to be parking in big lots. Too much chance of a break in.
Deb, my old one is a Sony, too...one of their early digitals....so heavy, and about 6"x4"...been having a lot of trouble with it lately. It uses 3 1/2" floppies and when I got my new puter it didn't have a floppy drive and I had to buy an add-on.
Well I see that Deb & Loretta got an Eagle Fix this early evening! Good! Hi Hegie - glad to see you are resting up! It was great though while it lasted. Going up to daughter's tomorrow for lunch with family. I don't want to go near a scale for awhile. lol
Suddenly started raining here about 10 minutes ago. Leftovers were good! Agree, Jo...no scales for a while!! Gotta get on Sony's website and register my camera. And then time for Jeopardy. TTFN.
The pic on the owl cam seems to have been that way most of the day. I checked it a couple of times looking for the bunny! No precip here in the valley yet. Glad it is just rain up in PA
Just a quick hi. Hope everyone had a very special Christmas. I worked the overnight last night after coming down with either cold or flu on Christmas Eve. Whatever it is I am a germ ....Have pretty much spent the day in bed and going back there now.ttyl
Hi & Bye GLO! Hope you get rid of the germs and are up & about soon. I am watching the Lake WA eagle couple They are really beautiful just like our special couple!

I took it at a Birds of Prey photography workshop. It is an educational bird, but the snow coming down made for a beautiful shot. Thanks for the info, Bob!
Good Saturday morning to all slumbering and about to be awake friends in Eagleland. Was awake and watching TV again, so here I am to await the arrival of Liberty and Belle. Just heard a lone goose pass over, so the bird world is starting to wake up.
Josh came to the Outer Banks, but they stayed in Currituck with her mother. WANDA Yes Carolina and WV are playing today, I think around 1pm ib espn. I am not sure tho. I have to look it up yet. To me whatever happens, happens. I can't get excited when we are playing a team that a number of my friends love.
Candy, it hurts to bite your tongue, doesn't it? A bit different with daughters vs. sons, but I always feel a little hurt that they come here and only eat a little of my hard effort meal because they already ate at the in-laws!!
Good Morning, Lynn. No Florida today. I have been sick since Tuesday night and am just now well enough to sit at the 'puter. I need a few days of recuperation from this bug and then a few days to get ready.
Oh, no, Wanda....did I miss mention of your being sick on the blog? I feel so bad for you. Was it the flu? POor girl. PLease get your strength back and feel better!
I bet Capt. Gene is a good nurse, and has taken special care of you...but still hate the thought of you being so miserable during the festivities. Were you able to spend hristmas day with the kids?? Were you able to eat?
WANDA So sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling good since Tuesday. What a lousy way to spend a holiday. There has been so much sickness going around lately. I was hoping that the two weeks off school would halt it's progression. Just take it easy and don't over do.
Wanda, went back and saw that you hadn't posted Wed. or THurs...feel terrible that I didn't miss you at the time....guess we were all so busy, flitting in and out of the blog..please forgive me!
Lynn, I didn't mention on the blog that I was sick...too sick to blog:( Gene is the one to have around when you are sick. He feed me toast and V-8 juice for 3 days. He also prepared all the food for Christmas dinner. I was able to make an apperance at GeeGee's, but stayed in bed for fear of spreading germs to the rest of the familoy. Didn't eat anything. Just one of those things.
I got my Morning fix and shot it over to Wild and Wondrful for those of you who need a Saturday morning fix. Have a good day...I'm wrapping back up into my soft cocoon in my bed.

Just called out!
And again....hurry up with that lunch!
I just love eing off and being able to check in on them at any time of the day.
Just was watching Luney and Mom gently feeding and cuddling when I heard the eagle call and quickly looked at the nest. This sound is wonderful.
She called out and flew up into the tree.
There she goes. Tired of waiting for lunch to be brought in.
I thought Lib was flying in the way Belle moved away from the center of the nest BUT I guess she was getting ready to fly out
Hi Candy & Paula
Camerman just centered a close up of Luney sleeping........
PAULA So glad to hear that your mother finally made her turn towards getting better and home. We visited with our friend in the nursing home yesterday, and they have her up and walking a little and doing therapy. Can't wait until she can go home, too.

Two eagles at West End, but the picture is awful.
Deb, it's a Sony Cyber-shot S750. So small...can't dare try to use it without the strap around my wrist cause afraid I'm going to drop it!
My youngest and her jubby have the same and their pics of Hawaii are beautiful!
Sony makes a good camera, Lynn. They are small now, Amazing what they can fit into such a little package.
Leftovers are calling!! It will probably all taste better this go around since I'm not so slam wore out!!! BBL.
Deb, my old one is a Sony, too...one of their early digitals....so heavy, and about 6"x4"...been having a lot of trouble with it lately. It uses 3 1/2" floppies and when I got my new puter it didn't have a floppy drive and I had to buy an add-on.

Good evening. Been playing around in Photoshop. This photo is kind of artificial. I took it today at Pickering Creek and then photoshopped the heck out of it. The scene didn't actually look like this. I just wanted to see what I could do.
Pickering Creek
Soggy raccoon at Pix PA.
cool shot, Bob, reminds me of an oil painting:)
Neat picture, Bob! I am curious what it looked like before photoshoping it??
Bob - Photoshop creates miracles! lol
Deb - It's actually a composite of three photos of the same scene taken at different exposures on a tripod. Here's the primary photo:
Pickering Creek Original
Wow, that is amazing. I haven't learned how to do anything like that. That must take a lot of patience.
Bob - you really are having fun with that program. The original was beautiful also!
Deb - Ask my wife, I'm not a patient person. ☺ It's not hard at all. The technique is called High Dynamic Range (HDR). One photo is exposed normally then one is overexposed and the third is underexposed (it's easy if you use exposure bracketing on the camera). The I used special HDR software called Photomatix to combine them. Then I tweak it in Photoshop. It took about 10 minutes.
Neat, I will have to check out Photomix sometime.
Photomix is for Windows only, I did find a Mac program called Morpheus Photo Mixer.
Deb - It's Photomatix and they do have a Mac version:
Photomatix
Thanks, it would help if I had read it correctly! :)
My dad wants the sky in this picture to be blue, do you know how to do that??
Change sky to blue
Whoa, there is a lot of snow at Snowman cam, you can't even see the thermometer!
I don't have a pic on the Moose Cam
Little Raccoon still in the woods
eating the corn on the ground
DEB Forgot to tell you that a little opposum came up on my deck the other night. Hubby saw him and then off he scampered
Deb - That's an incredible photo. I'm sure there's an easy way to do that but I'm not exactly sure how. The place to ask is the retouching forum over at DPREVIEW:
DPreview
If you ask, they'll even do it for you. They live for stuff like that.
Bob, can't open your pics! THink I need to shut down and try over....the page opens, but it just keeps grinding away trying to open the pic itself...hmmmmm.
Deb, your eagle w/ the snow is a beauty....did you jsut take it today? How far away were you?

I took it at a Birds of Prey photography workshop. It is an educational bird, but the snow coming down made for a beautiful shot. Thanks for the info, Bob!
Wow, Bob...fantastic!!!

Good Saturday morning to all slumbering and about to be awake friends in Eagleland. Was awake and watching TV again, so here I am to await the arrival of Liberty and Belle. Just heard a lone goose pass over, so the bird world is starting to wake up.
BWO is MT as well as BWE nest and Maine nest. All is very quiet in the Pa. woods this morning. Atlanta Panda cam is off line.
It kind of looks like there is a little fog down around our nest this morning, but maybe that is just the way the light makes it look.
Good Morning, Candy...I just crawled out of bed hoping to see our beautiful couple too. How was your Christmas. Did your son come home?
Candy, it is 35° and very foggy here.
GOOD MORNING WANDA! No royal couple yet. They must be sleeping in this morning with the rest of the Momsters and Dadsters. Glad to see you, tho.
I invite you to come on down. It is a warmish 54 degrees here so far this morning, but no sun yet.
Hope you and yours had a very nice Christmas together. How is Gee Gee doing? Better and better, I hope.
Good Morning Candy and Wanda...and anyone else jumping on soon.
THE Nest looks beautiful, even though it is empty.
I have been up since 10 o'clock yesterday morning, so I am headed for the pillows and blankie right now.
Nice to "see" you.
Good Day to All! xoxo Good Night..xoxo ♥

Good morning and good night MARGY. You have been a busy one. Hope you weren't working that whole time. Get some good well deserved sleep.
Boy the geese are pretty active this morning. No sleeping in for them.
Candy, you are being the perfect Mother in Law. Just keep doing what you have been doing and you will see more and more of the kids as time passes.
I knew WV was playing today...but...didn't know they were playing Carolina. I guess we will be on opposite sides of the fence for this gane:)
Margy, don't know why you've been up since 10am, but it is time to hit the sheets. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
They are Here!
FINALLY, EAGLE ALERT IN OUR NEST!
Decorating the nest with something:)
aND BOTH ARE THERE NOW
mc49Eagle alert our nest!
Nestorations are in progress; a branch here, no there, move over, I want it here, no thee. :)
GOOD MORNING HEDGIE! Have you been waiting long. Seeing our two eagles is worth whatever the wait to me tho.

WANDA Yes Carolina and WV are playing today, I think around 1pm ib espn. I am not sure tho. I have to look it up yet. To me whatever happens, happens. I can't get excited when we are playing a team that a number of my friends love.
One eagle flown the coop.
No, Candy...just got up and turned on cam to see and voila! there they came!
Just love the color on the cam!!
I hope Liberty and Belle have good radar ad it looks pretty foggy out there still. :)
One gone.
Wanda, are you all leaving today for FL??? What did you get for Christmas???
Candy, it hurts to bite your tongue, doesn't it? A bit different with daughters vs. sons, but I always feel a little hurt that they come here and only eat a little of my hard effort meal because they already ate at the in-laws!!
Fog is beginning to lift here.
There goes the other eagle. Must have given up waiting for other to return and took it's chances in the FOG.
I bet Capt. Gene is a good nurse, and has taken special care of you...but still hate the thought of you being so miserable during the festivities. Were you able to spend hristmas day with the kids?? Were you able to eat?
MT nest...boo.
WANDA So sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling good since Tuesday. What a lousy way to spend a holiday. There has been so much sickness going around lately. I was hoping that the two weeks off school would halt it's progression. Just take it easy and don't over do.
