Bob has some Kitty Xmas oics up on PBase. Looks like our house. When we went to son's for family dinner on Xmas, we locked our little fiber optic tree in a room. No decorations except top star so they can't hurt it, but older cat wants to eat the needles!She likes to eat thin ribbons too!
See I missed our birds' visit, but since they seem to be visiting after noon, maybe I'll see them at work.

Forgot to mention that Aaron got me one of the St Jude's Hospital stuffed Panda and panda cub. He is so cuddly and I thought I had lost them when Alexis came to visit.... Like why oh why would Mema need a stuffed Panda bear and cub! I convinced her that I really needed it!

I just love eing off and being able to check in on them at any time of the day.
Just was watching Luney and Mom gently feeding and cuddling when I heard the eagle call and quickly looked at the nest. This sound is wonderful.
She called out and flew up into the tree.
There she goes. Tired of waiting for lunch to be brought in.
I thought Lib was flying in the way Belle moved away from the center of the nest BUT I guess she was getting ready to fly out

PAULA So glad to hear that your mother finally made her turn towards getting better and home. We visited with our friend in the nursing home yesterday, and they have her up and walking a little and doing therapy. Can't wait until she can go home, too.
JO, I can just see that little girls' eyes looking up and you and wondering why you needed those pandas. It can just about break your heart. Glad to hear that your steeled yourself and kept them. :)

Lun Lun is making me mervous with her carrying around Luney and putting him up on the branch bars. Now she dragged him into the hole in the wall. No sight of ,,,Here they comeback out; Luney still being dragged by Mom. He is on all four feed, so guess she is trying to show him how to walk better. And now back into the hole in the wall out of sight and peek out again still dragging Luney.He just lays there lke a stuffed panda and takes it.

I am home, SF was a mad house. I should have gone in on Wednesday, but it is over and I got all my errands done.

Good evening, fowl friends! Sounds like evetone is having a fun day! I slept in--really needed that! Ran a few errands, took a panda nap, and been gradually putting away china, silver, etc. Been playing with my new camera that my girls gave me, too!! Still trying to figure out all the little details!

I saw a rough-legged hawk eating some road kill on my way home today, but I don't take my camera with when I am going to be parking in big lots. Too much chance of a break in.

Deb, it's a Sony Cyber-shot S750. So small...can't dare try to use it without the strap around my wrist cause afraid I'm going to drop it!
My youngest and her jubby have the same and their pics of Hawaii are beautiful!
Sony makes a good camera, Lynn. They are small now, Amazing what they can fit into such a little package.
Leftovers are calling!! It will probably all taste better this go around since I'm not so slam wore out!!! BBL.
Deb, my old one is a Sony, too...one of their early digitals....so heavy, and about 6"x4"...been having a lot of trouble with it lately. It uses 3 1/2" floppies and when I got my new puter it didn't have a floppy drive and I had to buy an add-on.
Well I see that Deb & Loretta got an Eagle Fix this early evening! Good!

Good evening. Been playing around in Photoshop. This photo is kind of artificial. I took it today at Pickering Creek and then photoshopped the heck out of it. The scene didn't actually look like this. I just wanted to see what I could do.

Deb - It's actually a composite of three photos of the same scene taken at different exposures on a tripod. Here's the primary photo:

Wow, that is amazing. I haven't learned how to do anything like that. That must take a lot of patience.
Bob - you really are having fun with that program. The original was beautiful also!
Deb - Ask my wife, I'm not a patient person. ☺ It's not hard at all. The technique is called High Dynamic Range (HDR). One photo is exposed normally then one is overexposed and the third is underexposed (it's easy if you use exposure bracketing on the camera). The I used special HDR software called Photomatix to combine them. Then I tweak it in Photoshop. It took about 10 minutes.
Neat, I will have to check out Photomix sometime.
Photomix is for Windows only, I did find a Mac program called Morpheus Photo Mixer.

Good Saturday morning to all slumbering and about to be awake friends in Eagleland. Was awake and watching TV again, so here I am to await the arrival of Liberty and Belle. Just heard a lone goose pass over, so the bird world is starting to wake up.
BWO is MT as well as BWE nest and Maine nest. All is very quiet in the Pa. woods this morning. Atlanta Panda cam is off line.
It kind of looks like there is a little fog down around our nest this morning, but maybe that is just the way the light makes it look.
Good Morning, Candy...I just crawled out of bed hoping to see our beautiful couple too. How was your Christmas. Did your son come home?

Josh came to the Outer Banks, but they stayed in Currituck with her mother. We saw him for a moment when he came to check his mail one day and then were invited up to the MIL house for Christmas dinner at 4pm. We exchanged gifts after dinner, chatted awhile and then headed for home. Carolina plays WV today in a bowl game, so I am hoping if his wife and mil go shopping, he will come see us for the game. I haven't heard a thing. Time will tell.
This is our first set of holidays with him married, so I am just laying low and going with the flow. Next year, I might speak up a little and also use the phone. Right now, I don't want to but in.

WANDA So sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling good since Tuesday. What a lousy way to spend a holiday. There has been so much sickness going around lately. I was hoping that the two weeks off school would halt it's progression. Just take it easy and don't over do.

Gene is the one to have around when you are sick. He feed me toast and V-8 juice for 3 days. He also prepared all the food for Christmas dinner. I was able to make an apperance at GeeGee's, but stayed in bed for fear of spreading germs to the rest of the familoy. Didn't eat anything. Just one of those things.
I got my Morning fix and shot it over to Wild and Wondrful for those of you who need a Saturday morning fix. Have a good day...I'm wrapping back up into my soft cocoon in my bed.
