Ha Ha Good morning Wanda. Got up a little early to see what I get to deal with outside this morning. Good news is the lights are on. Haven't called the shelter yet but will be doing that soon. Right now we have thunder and lightening and heavy freezing rain but are supposed to be on the back side of this thing with it out of here in 3 hours or so. Now to ocnvince my dog that we are even going out in this. He is quiet at the moment so I think I will let him sleep.
Good morning to you too Sissy and everyone else as you come through the door. Think I will make some tea. Feels like a long wait to coffee and dog treats at the moment.
There are only 300 reported power outages right now so hopefully this thing will end soon. We will clean up and head on safely to a really great time tonight for Santa and all his little friends.
I know my neighbor will help me get out of this garage and driveway but we are pretty much a layer of ice now skating rink everywhere, so lots of work for road crews to do as well. I am so glad to have power!!!!

Mits, the security notice I was getting had three optons at the bottome of it. "YES" "NO" "VIEW CERTICIFICATE" But since I clicked "View Certificate" and elected to install it, I don't get the security notice popup now.
Good morning, everyone. 1-4" of snow turned into 6" with more starting tonight. Then tomorrow morning, Blizzard Watch. I hope I watch it blow a different direction.
That link works, thanks Deb. Problem is, my computer or monitor has an issue that makes the screen jump all around when I try to watch certain cams like Norfolk and Oregon cam also, makes them unwatchable.
Me, either. My poor dogs, their world keeps getting smaller. I just scooped out a small spot for them, will make it bigger later. I don't know it they will be getting off the deck again for a while.
MORNIN' DEB!!---Pray your forecast is wrong!!---Every day it seems we get an ice & snow forecast---Some day they are going to fool us--THEY WILL GET IT RIGHT!!---ho!
I just saw ZZ and Bai play fighting and wrestling...ZZ looks very ferocious.
And then Bai continued her exercise program and ZZ tried to ambush her..failed when Bai went another direction...so ZZ took off after her at full speed....
Well back from coffee and dog treats. Have one bird feeder thawing in the kitchen sink. Did lots of chipping away and some shoveling but lots more ice that will not shovel. Good news though it is 29 degrees so the triple melt is doing its magic on the steps I hope and I will be able to clear them off in a couple of hours.
Dex says winter needs to be over. He does not have a clue its yet to begin.
Ok enjoy your day and your weekend actually. Day needs to take a new twist for me. Lots to do to get things in order for tonight in several places. Expect roads will all be in fair to good shape by then. Shelter has power and Santa is loading up his slay. This is one of the most special evenings of the Christmas season for me. I love to see Christmas through the eyes of a child.
ZZ continues to play like a mad bear with Bai this morning. It's really something to see, and many early tourists ... or keepers ... are videotaping it.
Driveway is done, e-mail is done. Now to feed the dogs. I am trying to figure out how to get the snow blower to the back yard and clear a path for the dogs. I think I can get it through the door, if all works out right, but I will try that later.
Good morning. While I have some time just want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. Will miss everyone and hope to be back on the 6th if we don't get snow bound. Love to all and your loved ones.
yes already have the Amtrak route, Ceil if that train gets any more north, you will be in Canada....I myself would prefer to fly:):):), but it will be fun and I'm sure festive on the train.
Got my morning HIGH as I read through all your comments on our blog!!! Sorry I missed our visits this am but I bet they return. Ceil - you take care of Jim & Mary Margaret & enjoy your Christmas vacation Sharon - You go gal! one tube to go and NO CIGS for that long! WOW!!!!! I think you have made it!!!!!
Oregon cam looks like a blizzard happening there! First link led to a security threat message, but 2nd link went straight to cam. Ceil, we will miss you while you're gone, but hoping that you have a very Merry Christmas with your son and family. Safe trip...you should be able to get lots of great photos from the train windows--we'll be waiting! When do you come home? What will Mary Margaret be doing for Christmas? Going on trip with you or spending the day w/ Mits?
Is our still cam for real? There doesn't seem to be any fog, etc. there....can't bring up the live cam since I would have to shut down in order to close it. Weird situation.
That's a great video, Red!! Those trains don't slow down for anything! When I lived in Kearney, NE, they didn't slow down to go through town. Eventually they built overpasses over all the tracks to help prevent accidents in town. A train went by every 7 minutes. I wonder if it is more often now.
Oh, my, Red...not sure Ceil would want to see that video!!!! Deb and Glo....hope your weather situations imnprove! Isn't the snow blower awful heavy to try to get through the house, Deb???
Thanks everyone. Red you are right I think that will be our train. Two years ago we went out to San Fran by train and there was a blizzard in Denver. The airport was shut down for 2 to 3 days. Train had no problem. Deb yep we will be going through ND as Mits says any further north and we will be in Canada. Love going by train. Sit and watch the beautiful untouched scenery.
Wishing you a safe and ownderful trip Ceil Looks like those trains can handle just about anything. Must be the way to go.
MeMa Jo You are so wise and right on. No wonder it is so obvious how very much you are treasured by your family and your friends as well.
Back to work for me. Thanks for the cute video Red It did make me chuckle. Wonder what it feels and sounds like inside the train as it plows its way along.
Hi, Ladies..it is raining pretty hard right now, but at 40°, I don't think we have to worry about ice or snow. Have to take GeeGee for crab legs tonight and wouldn't be a very happy camper if the weather kept her from her Friday Night Delight.:)
Deb, Looking all around to what is available to see in addition to the main video, is one of my favorite things to do. Sometimes I find things that are more interesting than the original video. And then you go on to another and another....
Ceil, we're wishing you a safe and SNOW-FREE trip and many wonderful things to see along the way. Merry Christmas to you and you family. Wanda & Capt. Gene
Trains hold a special place in my heart ♥ - Sounds like a great way to travel Ceil. Yes, we will definitely miss your serene posts while you are away...Best Wishes for a Happy Christmas to you and all the family ! ♥
Snow blowing on the grass is hard work, but the dogs now have a little path to get off the patio. It got smaller than planned when i found out how hard it was to forge a path.
Wouldn't that be great! If I had a bigger snow plow it would be easier, but mine is big enough for me not to have to worry about handling it. I had a bigger one to start off with and it took so much energy to control it. At the end of season sale, I got this one for a great bargain and sold the big one.
Whoops! Forgot I have to re-install Quik-time, and Oregon Eagle needs it...tried to install it, got an error message I could not close out of, nor move to anything else, had to cut power to the machine....Woof! Think I'll work on all that after a Panda Nap.
Don't see the zamboni at Rockefeller Center but there are alot of skaters! Wind is whipping tree and flags! Hope night view illuminates ice! Haven't seen the tree on TV this year.
Xi Lan is sleeping soundly...all by his lonesome. Sure am going to miss that little fellow....wonder if they tried a local TV blitz to raise funds for the cams??
My new pitiful little dog seems to be adapting to us pretty good. He doesn't like the cat at all but he doesn't seem so afraid today. Little bit of jealousy with the other dogs but we are sharing the love. I think he will come around just fine. I wonder if his hair will grow back. Have to take him to the vet after Christmas.
That's too bad, Paula. Do the doctor's just want to make sure this time all the infection is gone before they release her, or did something new come up?
Snow plow just went by. Buried in the driveway about 10 feet up. I don't think that is necessary, if they went slower it wouldn't fly so far. Sidewalk is totally buried.
The only thing coming out of his body that doesn't belong there is the feeding tube. Now we can work on speaking, eating and so on. Sylvia squealed, so loudly they were still talking about it on the whole second floor, when I got up to Phili this afternoon. He is back on the drugs as of 1:00 this afternoon. George the OT got a complete half head turn today and yesterday in therapy. We couldn't have gotten this far without all of you, we are going to celebrate so you should too! Love to everybody from Paoli.
Thanks Red! Got so excited with the info and forgot the candles!
I'm getting myself ready to go out for my s-i-l b-day celebration - Big 6-0. Don't remember that one too well! Anyway it is at my favorite Dutch's Daughter restaurant! CRAB CAKES Doesn't start until 7:00 so I'm getting there!
Paula - my thoughts & prayers are with you! Hope mom is ok and not too depressed about not getting out just yet. As long as you are there for her - things should be ok ♥
Wow, lots of news. Too bad Paula's mom isn't being released, but hopefully it will be soon. Good update on Buddy! Sounds like good progress for Mason, even tho' there's a very long, tedious road ahead. Poor Deb...all your work, and the plow does that to you. We are used to it here....almost pointless to try to clear out until after the plowing...which can take 2 or 3 days! Mr. Bill has a blade on the truck that the shopping center owner leaves there for him to plow the parking lot with, and he comes and does the driveway, so it's not like I have to shovel or anything...not that I could anymore anyway...don't have the air for that exertion.
Sissy, what is the foster doggie's name? Glad he is adapting.....does the foster group take care of the vet bill for you? With a little time and your sweet love, he will be a most grateful and loving dog, I'm sure. (Shall we place any bets on whether he becomes a permanent Riffe family member??)
Sure hope that Lolly likes snow!!! And hope that Ceil's train DOES have a plow on the engine...sounds like she will be heading into more of the white stuff!!
I missed them, too. I was just coming in to check on them, when I realized I was using my time, not nest time. I thought I would be all ready, not way late!
Shoot, heck, darn and all those other words, My newest forecast:
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 12 PM CST SATURDAY... ... BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 12 PM SATURDAY TO 12 PM CST SUNDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SIOUX FALLS HAS ISSUED A BLIZZARD WARNING... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 12 PM SATURDAY TO 12 PM CST SUNDAY. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY HAS ALSO BEEN ISSUED. THIS WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 12 PM CST SATURDAY. THE BLIZZARD WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
Neighbor lady - 80 - has been in hospital since Dec 4 - they finally found an ulcer on her esophogus...she might be in the hospital past Christmas :(
Her brother-in-law, in Ohio, also 80 - her only family member, is iced in...he made two batches of peanut brittle, and white and milk chocolate covered pretzels....one batch for her, one for me! I am a happy sweet-eater right about now.
Got to work tonight midnight to 6 am - so it's time to batten down the hatches and get another nap in.
Hope all goes well for everyone in All our Eagle Corners ! xo ♥
I personally like warm weather at Christmas, 3 of my favorite places to be are Arizona, Southern California, and Florida, love seeing all the natural beauty of the decorations outside in the sun and not ice:)
Oh, Deb...doesn't sound good. Will keep my fingers crossed that the report fizzles and you are spared! Margy, I think someone is trying to fatten you up! M-m-m-m good. Hope you have a peaceful night...I'll have my ears on!
Completely forgot to mention that I saw Xi Lan up on all fours and he even made about 3 steps before he belly-flopped earlier this afernoon!!! So cute....and Lun was just playing w/ bamboo, ignoring him completely!

Thank you Wanda, I was just a happy camper over there drinking coffee and checking cams.
Thanks Steve for the new thread.
EAGLE ALERT!!
EAGLE!!!!!
Sissy, glad you found your way over:) Did you leave Red over there?
Looks like he is waiting on Belle to bring breakfast (I think that is Lib).
Alert!!
Don't know what has happened to the cam, but you can't see as well as a few days ago...heads cut off!
Well, that was took quick. Oh, now both are there!!!
Belle, up close and personal. Lib beside her.
Looks like Belle did bring breakfast!!
Wow. Look how close she is to the cam. That is cool.
Belle is eating something and Lib is just watching her.
Very much time to shut up and enjoy view on the cam.
Poof!
OUTTA HERE!
oh oh 35,000 without power. hmmm this last edge of stuff isn't so good I guess but seems to be a little south of me.
Good morning everyone.
And then there were none!! Lovely seeing these 2 beauties this morning.
GOOD MORNING GLO..
Anxious to hear about you Christmas Party this evening. Praying for do-able weather!
GOOD MORNING TO YOU, SHARON. Any snow forcasted for Bluefield for Christmas? I guess we all love a little snow on Christmas Eve with just a little left over for Christmas day:)
Okay, gonna get to work. Been slacking this morning. I will be lurking, ya'll holler if anything exciting happens. Have a great day!!
Good morning Wanda. I have no idea what the forecast is but am going to check now! Went to Charlottesville yesterday and got 2 more drains out. I am so grateful. Go back in 3 weeks and hopefully will get the last one out then. More will be revealed.
I keep getting this little warning when I turn 'puter on:
Verizon Internet Security Suite...
The settings we were attempting to process are corrupted and unusable. Restoring a backup may solve the problem.
Details:
[ZKChunkReader::ZKChunkReader]
[Desc: Corrupt File C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Verizon\Verizon Internet Security Suite\AntiFraud.dat]
Have any of you ever gotten this to pop up on your screen?
Good for you, Sharon! I know those drains are a pain (literally). They use to not let you out of the hospital until all drains were removed. They removed them Inch by inch...a little every day until they were completely out. Then you could go home.
OK, I'm outta here too. Later
Morning all. Missed nest visit, as usual!! Wanda, not having Verizon, can't begin to imagine what all that means! Think I would call the help desk and ask some questions!! Maybe Red or Jim or Paula can give you some advice.
Sharon, you go girl!!! Only one drain left--yippee! How is your strength and stamina? Don't overdo!! Still not smoking?????
Glo, I was confused...I thought your party was last night--whoops!! Hope the weather gets better by the minute and everything goes without a hitch!
Jack, I would take TexMex over pizza!!!! Love them both, but Mexican would win out if both were in front of me!
Wanda, it sounds like you need to contact Verizon and have them look at it.
GUess I'll pop up umbrella and go get newspapers....drizzling and foggy here. Thank goodness it's not ice!
Hedgie, remember where Lolly is. Pizza would probably be better in NYC than Tex Mex. Remember those Pace Salsa ads. Made in NYC! Yuck. lol
Lynn, that is correct. Still not smoking. Been 2 months and 2 days. No patches now either. Still want one pretty bad sometimes but that passes.
Good Morning Eagle Pals
Glad to see that some of you saw "the kids" this morning.
Nice Eagle on the branch at Norfolk,
People footprints at Pix PA,
Raining cats and dogs in Scotland at the bird feeder, just saw a nice Hairy Woodpecker there, overnight I saw a Male Mallard on the platform, and a Ring-necked pheasant (female) at one of the other birdfeeders, and one Reindeer. Sound at the bird feeder today....the rain is really coming down there...
Nice going, Red Being the first one on!
Double E-S:
all sounds great for you...slowly but surely...
Hi Hedgie and everyone else...

The picture of our tree that Steve put up yesterday, reminds me of a picture that DEB would get...
Glo - still praying for the weather to cooperate for you tonight... xoxo
Good Friday morning everyone.

Just saw the Hairy Woodpecker again, and another reindeer in Scotland...
One eagle at BWO looking soggy.
I was able to do the security update on the IE7 overnight, had to go find it, was not automatically updated.
Wanda : - I agree with everyone else, call Verizon....it's probably a cinch for them to straighten it out, just might take a little time...
eagle at NBG and bWO

Oh Red! Not so sure I want Ceil to see that one! WHoo HOoo!!!
Thinking of you GLO as your plans go into play this evening. Going to be a lot of pulling on your heart strings!
Oregon cam looks like a blizzard happening there! First link led to a security threat message, but 2nd link went straight to cam.

See that my question about M.M. was answered before I asked it! LOL. Have a good trip and Merry Christmas, M.M.--please tell her, Ceil!
I think still cam is working fine. Radar shows we are about to get hit with some heavy showers...
Thanks everyone. Red you are right I think that will be our train. Two years ago we went out to San Fran by train and there was a blizzard in Denver. The airport was shut down for 2 to 3 days. Here is another train snow plow for Ceil:
Train Snowplow
I always get lost for awhile when someone posts a video, I get intrigued by all the others posted to the side.
roflmbo...again, that was great Deb....
Luney is being awaken by his mom and cuddled!
Deb I did not same thing. There were some beautiful pictures of trains plowing through the snow. Thanks.
Suzanne is out & headed home for her weekend! Still miss that gal on here!
Gene
RED, you are a hoot...where on earth did you come up with that video? LMBO!
you can go on to earthcam.com, and go to NYC and watch the snow coming down, some of the cams have sound
Eagle still sitting at BWO platform
Foggy down there with Light rain
Heavy rain here in the valley for now
Wow, Loved both the train videos, Red and Deb !
Trains hold a special place in my heart ♥ - Sounds like a great way to travel Ceil. Yes, we will definitely miss your serene posts while you are away...Best Wishes for a Happy Christmas to you and all the family ! ♥
..Now, to try Oregon Eagles again...
Snow blowing on the grass is hard work, but the dogs now have a little path to get off the patio. It got smaller than planned when i found out how hard it was to forge a path.
Glo: Ditto everything you said about Mema Jo!
Sounds like you, Dex, and Santa are determined to make Happiness Happen tonight !
xo !
Rainy day in OC
Deb: Your pups are soooooo lucky to have such a Sweeet Mistress !
Deb, you need one of those snow plow trains to come thru the back yard
ROCKEFELLER CHRISTMAS TREE
Time for me to hit the peanut butter/jelly sandwich!
BBILW - after a puppy nap maybe.
This rain is so calming......
Wouldn't that be great! If I had a bigger snow plow it would be easier, but mine is big enough for me not to have to worry about handling it. I had a bigger one to start off with and it took so much energy to control it. At the end of season sale, I got this one for a great bargain and sold the big one.
I watched the Time Square cam for a while. This one is much nicer. I had to turn the sound down at Time Square.
Mits - tonight you can get us another pic of the tree with the lights lite!
Bet the weather change is a shock to Lolly's system. I see the zamboni driving on the ice below the tree. I don't think that is spelled right??
Whoops!
Forgot I have to re-install Quik-time, and Oregon Eagle needs it...tried to install it, got an error message I could not close out of, nor move to anything else, had to cut power to the machine....Woof!
Think I'll work on all that after a Panda Nap.
Good Afternoon, TTFN, try to stay warm and dry.
xo
I think that is the correct spelling, Deb
Don't see the zamboni at Rockefeller Center but there are alot of skaters! Wind is whipping tree and flags! Hope night view illuminates ice! Haven't seen the tree on TV this year.
Xi Lan is sleeping soundly...all by his lonesome. Sure am going to miss that little fellow....wonder if they tried a local TV blitz to raise funds for the cams??
It went away when it was done. It was a red one. I bet it comes back later to clear off more snow.
It is 63 degrees here. That just ain't right. I am in dire need of some Christmas weather!!
In case nobody reported it, there is a new update on Buddy's condition posted.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
One of the young Pandas at SD (cam 28) is very active with her tree climbing and playing with her swinging enrichment toys this morning.
Not sure if it's Su Lin ... looks like ZZ's size, but it's the wrong cam for her.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Have a good day, folks. Later....

Jim
Thanks for the heads up, Jim. I sure hope his upper beak is growing in straighter so Buddy can be released.
Sissy, you can see some winter in my yard. I put up a few pictures from this morning.
I have to tell ya, Deb, I am jealous. But, see, that is easy for me to say, I work at home. Don't have to get out in it. I love a great big snow!!!!
Blogger cop wouldn't let me in.
Was 2 at WE, now just one.
Loved the train videos.
Sissy, c'mon over....43° and cold rain....
Mom not getting released today :(
Heading outta here shortly to go see her...
Sissy - once he becomes more nourished, I'm sure the fur will grow back.
BBL
See ya'll later!!
Eagle BWO
IDK why not today, Deb.... hope to find out later....
Good Late Afternoon Everyone,
headed to the hospital to make a visit....hope to get back at dusk to hope to see Our Eagles....
If all this rain here was snow, we would be buried up to our eyeballs right about now...
Be Careful...
xo
Prayers for wellness, safety, comfort and joy for all, and hope Paula gets some reassuring information about her Mother....
xo ♥
Enjoy the Crab Legs, Wanda and Family....
Done again for this storm. Will see what tonight and tomorrow bring.
Both eagles at NBG.
Mason's Update
The Trach is Out!!!
Such wonderful news on Mason! Thanks, Jo, for the update!
Don't forget to light a candle for Mason.
Light a Candle for Mason
Thanks Red! Got so excited with the info and forgot the candles!
I'm getting myself ready to go out for my s-i-l b-day celebration -
Big 6-0. Don't remember that one too well! Anyway it is at my favorite Dutch's Daughter restaurant!
CRAB CAKES
Doesn't start until 7:00 so I'm getting there!
Paula - my thoughts & prayers are with you! Hope mom is ok and not too depressed about not getting out just yet. As long as you are there for her - things should be ok ♥
OMG!! What great news about Mason. That youngun is sure getting some prayers and reaping the benefits!!
Well, Friday afternoon finally came and I am done working!!! WOOHOO!!
Gonna get in the shower and get some running done.
BBIALW!
Eagle still hanging out on the BWO platform.
I'm still looking for the Burrowing Owl to come out of the burrow into the snow.........
I have Mrs. Red's Office Christmas party to go to this evening. Having it at a restaurant, so we'll be eating there too.
Great not to have to cook and still get great food! Enjoy yourselves, Red
Eagle Alert. Our nest. Eating
Both were there for a moment. Now just one.
Then there were none. Poof Gone.
Guess I was the only one watching our eagles.
And now none!! Boo...missed it again!
Enjoy your dinners out Jo and Red!!!
I did get home in time to see the evening visit:)
I missed them - was on the phone with
family member..... Boo Hoo!
Sure hope that Lolly likes snow!!! And hope that Ceil's train DOES have a plow on the engine...sounds like she will be heading into more of the white stuff!!
3 snowy moose on moosecam
THE BLIZZARD WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
yuckies, Deb:(
Wel, I missed the Eagles too, but I see the snow-covered Moose !
I am a
happy sweet-eater right about now.
Got to work tonight midnight to 6 am - so it's time to batten down the hatches and get another nap in.
Hope all goes well for everyone in All our Eagle Corners ! xo ♥
Watching Scarface on the moose cam getting his fill of blowing snow!
Puppy's are napping - they are due to go this weekend to check out just what snow is! Not sure where they are taking them.
DEB - batten down the hatches!
and stay warm!
See you in the morning Margy!
Hope there isn't any action out there after midnight! Lots of parties this weekend..... Peace!
Hope you have a peaceful night...I'll have my ears on!
split coming up soon!!
I am voting for southern California right now, Helen. My niece's wedding can't come soon enough for me.
I am voting for a fizzle out, too, Lynn!
Completely forgot to mention that I saw Xi Lan up on all fours and he even made about 3 steps before he belly-flopped earlier this afernoon!!! So cute....and Lun was just playing w/ bamboo, ignoring him completely!
SPLIT
