Have to say that I've never been in a warm clime for Christmas...don't think I would like it too much! Even tho' I hate snow, just seems that it goes better w/ the season than hot sun. Oops... I do remember one year when I was in high school that we had 80° on Christmas Day and neighbor kids were out playing basketball in shorts!

Oh, she switched cams, still see one deer in the trees. It is really snowing there today.
When you watch the tree cam you see all the flash bulbs going off.
She usually closes down at 5 her time, it is snowing alot
last year, you could hear the music....NBC has gone "el cheapo" this year
I think she is closed now, she must have wanted us to see the deer action before she closed down.
Of course you are right, Helen, about Jesus' birthplace being a desert location! I think it snowed in Jerusalem a couple of years ago, though!
They are skating away at Rockefeller Square. Puppies are sleeping. It is not snowing at the snowman cam and it looks like they had some freezing rain, it is all sparkly.
Well I am home from the party. We had lots of kids and their moms/caretakers come. The roads were fairly good in most places.
I have posted pictures on Glo's Glimpse's. I work tomorrow so am off to bed very soon. Those who subscribe to Glo's Glimpse's will see the photos tomorrow, perhaps especially if their is a new thread in the morning , someone could mention the party and point folks to the pictures as of course the info will be lost over here once we get into the weekend. Thanks to whomever follows through on that. There really are some who may want to see them and won't get the email notice.

Awww I missed a nest visit. Well I am up and ready for work but first Coffee and dog treats with the neighbors. Then Dex can go to work for Ankle biting peanutbutter biscuits. He loves em, kids must be good cooks. That one was totally done without my knowledge til like 3 days ago a staff told me. Since she was very ill , loves Dex and was headed for surgery I think she wanted me to know she knew about it. We have promised to go to her home to visit when she is feeling better. Had a heart valve transplant.
OK off to get some java to wake up. Yep still riding high from the party. Kids will be too . Enjoy your day.

They weren't wrong, Norma. Snow is moving through, winds are steady at about 30 mph. It is -15 with the windchill. We didn't get too much snow from what I can tell, 2" or so.

Have 3 tundra swans on the water & earlier saw a juvie eagle fly over.
It is very gray & seems to be getting a little colder.Wind from E. I went out & trimmed a few sprigs of greens & berries for display.Need some pine for that great smell.

Yes, Deb. Took pic of swans. One of the 3 of them is not too good---they were spread out. But got 1 by itself. Have pic of eagle in the tree this AM. Had to go out past nest earlier & no one home. Our secretary says she's seen them a lot. She is there at 7:12 AM. So that's like NCTC visiting time!

It isn't bad in town at all, except for the cold. It is 1 with -23 windchill, but sun is out and visibility is good. I haven't ventured out, so not sure what the visibility is in the country.
I don't think we are going to get a visit.
It is getting VERY dark here, Deb. We are expecting snow tonight, so Lib & Belle may be hunkering down somewhere.
Not expecting a lot of accumulation of anything, but the roads will be slippery til temps warm up. We are at 33° right now.
