Good morning everyone. Have been watching the news from VA Tech all morning and just had to trun the TV off and get away from it for a while. I see that our cam is still stuck.
Amen to the V. Tech. comments! It doesn't seem real yet...this might be one of the first tragedies of this type that happened in a storm or shortly after. And I think the proximity of the two disasters is keeping my mind from locking onto the reality of the second one..... If that makes any sense.
I still don't have info on the cause or motivation...guess all we can do is pray for the people involved.

There is a news briefing on TV now on the VA Tech shooting. The shooter was a 23 yr old South Korean, English major. They THINK there was only 1 shooter, but they're not sure and are investigating. Haven't read back comments, but I glanced at them, and not sure this was mentioned. If it was, sorry for the dup entry.
Our prayers are going up for everyone involved at VA Tech. We have taken two of our dogs there for surgery and that is a beautiful campus.
I have a friend whose little brother is at VTech. Thankfully he's okay. The rumor on campus is that the shooter had a girlfriend that broke up with him. He went to talk to her and when she wasn't in, he killed the roommate, then the resident advisor and then kept looking for her.
What I want to know is how did someone on an education visa procure guns???

I think we all know that if someone wants a gun that bad that there are plenty of ways for someone to get one and the bad thing is that there are plenty of people to supply them.

I have been checking in on the Maine site every once in a while and the wind is finally starting to slow down a bit. I feel so sorry that the mom that has been faithfully hanging in that nest and doing everything to protect those chicks.

Both parents in SC Mom just brought in a sprig of pine to freshen up the nest.
Our cam must be up. Where is the fuzzy stuff? Only part of it is there, and it's moved.

It looks like they had a free for all in our nest. Sticks are every which-a-way, and only 1 small fuzzy or whatever it is on other side of the nest. They must have had some serious winds there yesterday!

Yeah, me too. Missed their morning visit cause cam was down. Both ospreys in nest, BW chicks snoozing, PA falcon snoozing, Kent eagle looking very pretty in the rising sun. Guess if you want to see the sun you can look at Kent. Sure can't see it here! And sigh... our nest MT.
We have beautiful sunshine here in Pinch this morning. It sure is a welcome site :)
I just want to ask everyone to keep our son in your prayers he is deploying back to Iraq in a couple of weeks. They told him that is should be just for 4 months but we know how that goes. The last time my husband and son were both over there.

Harbinger - we are seeing pre-egg laying behaviour, but it is still anyone's guess if we will see any more eggs this season.
Well, they just switched on the egg cup and Lib flew off. Couldn't see the cup but boy am I praying.
I think she is trying to lay an egg but I could be wrong!
this is too much.. I am trying to get a contract done and I keep switching back to see whats going on. I just wrote Eagle for someones name. I've lost it....
Oh, I hope they're not just teasing us. Go, Belle. Tom's surgery is tomorrow. Has anyone heard from Mema Jo?

Rats! No, Mits, Mother is at home. We have Home HNealth Care every day, but no help on weekends. We're working on that, because my sister will have to go home some time, alas.
L&B have been here the last 2 days in a row around 1-ish.
Last 3 days.....
Have to go out...don't forget banding at Norfolk today at 3:)...They will be offline for network upgrades between the 23rd to the 25th.
