It is always a beautiful day when we can see eagles.
Good morning all...hope your day goes beautiful all day long. I bought th enew lawn mower so I am broke. Thats Ok i am off to a Staff Meeting and we have wind chills and snow flurries so can't mow to day anyway.
Man do I ever need to be able to just sit for a while and enjoy the splendor and beauty of Eagles nesting.
Thats the plan for this afternoon.

VA LADY & her "Little Rebels" are a family I love to watch!!---Those "Little Rebels" have "white washed" the nearest stone in the nest----Don't they learn EARLY to "poop shoot"---That truly amazes me!

Suz, they will put them back into the West End and Two Harbors nest.
Maine eagle has been out of the nest at least 4 or 5 times this morning......haven't seen them turn the egg.
I have been trying to get the Barton Cove cam up and can't has anyone been able to get it up. Today is 35 days for the first egg.

I watched Glo's video this morning of the CapeCoral eaglets...It so reminded me of BigBoy when he started the jumping and flapping! I hope he is ok out in the big world.

Martinsburg is cool and cloudy. Very little if any rain at this point. Probably about the same in Shepherdstown.
OK, Jo I heard you calling all the way outside:) Just hanging out with the plants,just transplanted calendulas, snapdragons, and more sweet william. Now a quick bite and I'm off to spend the afternoon with statice, and nicotiana. Kind of dreary and chilly here, wish it would rain or the sun would shine! Can't believe it will be in the 20's here tonight, someone has made a mistake, I ordered 70's and sunny, not 40's with snow flurries!

Tuned in just in time to see both in the nest. Maybe today is the day. They are acting like they are expecting something.I do one contract and peek in to see whats going on. I just came back on and saw her sitting there. Hasn't really moved since I came in.
They stand up sort of squat when they lay them.
She is certainly not moving and sitting in the "nesting" position....dare we hope???
She hasn't done anything except look around on the last few refreshes.

Rain gone, sun trying to come back in Martinsburg. Still chilly.
THERE IS A LIGHTER COLORED ROUND AREA IN THE REGION OF THE EGG CUP...DON'T KNOW EXACT CAUSE.
THEY WILL PROBABLY CARRY IN MORE DRY GRASS AND FORM THE CUP BETTER BEFORE SHE ACTUALLY STARTS TO LAY.
