STEVEN---I love BLUEBIRDS---But on this BEAUTIFUL day----Don't you think that maybe we COULD have an EAGLE OR TWO!!----Did you folks read that SEN. BYRD, WV & SEN. ALEXANDER, TN---have announced a resolution for American Eagle Day in Washington---Day would celebrate the recovery & restoration of the AMERICAN BALD EAGLE, the national symbol of the US.----COOL!!!

I'm doing a backup, and putting quite a bit of stuff on a CD, but little did I know that it would take forever, and TOTALLY slow everything down to a mini-crawl! Geesh, gonna be OT today trying to get this done.

Yes Normabyrd...The WVRRC is in Morgantown. I volunteer there once a week feeding the birds. It's pretty neat

Without the cam, we are unable to see into the nest, and are unable to give an accurate assessment as to what is happening in the nest.
The local folks watching the nest with binoculars have not noticed a change in the adults behavior.

... So, if there hasn't been a change in the adults behavior, we can assume that either or both of the chicks survived the storm.
Morning all, now lets think of this in a positive way. We couldnt get her to sit in the nest long enough to lay an egg. Maybe freezing the cam will do it. She cant go anywhere. :)

Read the ME Blog today---They are certain the parents survived----It is not known where they are now---But they are going to keep the EAGLE CAM up & running so they can continue their research----

Good morning all. I just got back from having lunch and was soooo excited to think there was an eagle in our nest. No The cam is frozen again, but at least the eagle is frozen in time in the nest. Have to get back to work with the children. Will check in when I get home from school.

Santa Cruz just had a down pour and Eagle sooks like a drowned rat. Talk about bed head. That is 3 hours away from me so I guess its headed my way. The rains this time of the year are from Hawaii not Alaska thank goodness.
Time for me to hit the road. All have a great weekend. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!

Same eagle still there ,interested in something in the nest.
I think she is eating. they both seem to bring food back to eat. Maybe they think its a dining room instead of a nursery.

We just turned it on as we are in centers and did at least see the eagle for a minute.

BW's problem is at the visitor center, but is affecting their cams, Lisa hoped it would be fixed soon.
BW kids have a fish, but I don't think they're getting much nutrition from it!

Adult at NE just came in. 2 little bobble heads are very alert.
HA HA I don't believe that the first poop shoot I have seen (other then recorded ones) just happened at the NE nest by the little eaglet.
I thought there was food - but don't see any.

Hey Mits, how are you? I have spent some of my Easter Break watching your Pandas at the Washington Zoo. They are something else.
I had that site on for the kids on another computer for our kids during center time in Kindergarten, and they were so excited to see them along with getting a glimpse of the eagles.

Sometimes I wonder if their parents ever sit down with them to do things wit them or to find good things for them to watch on the computer.
It was as if they never saw any of the animals that I put on. I could sit with them and the birds and animals all day; they get such a kick out of it.
To me, that is what getting an education is all about!

I always loved the Eagle Spirits surrounding the nest to protect our eagle family - but tonight I didn't appreciate them because I couldn't see through them.
I think our eagle has gone...but I can't be sure. Just know I can't see any white head or tail feathers.
I think the nest is mt. I can't see anything anymore.
I'm with you Jo. They don't seem to visit for too long anymore and you'd like to see them when they do.
When I first pulled up the cam page about 7 minutes ago, I thought there was something white in the nest,I don't see it anymore. Wish the cam was as clear as BW's at night.
There was an eagle in our nest for quite awhile. The fog came in and blotted it out and it is finally gone/

Since Megan's time is mainly outside and this was the first beautiful sunny day that we've had, I was really just teasing about the sunburn. But she will be sure to get one tomorrow!

Maybe you might like to send me down some of that warmer weather. I'd love some. Saw a couple of tour buses here today and wondered if they were spending their hard earned money in this cool weather at the outer banks.
Yep, that's me. Actually, Jo is right, my nose is sunburned, cause I've been outside most of the day. Lots of mowing grass and tilling the garden. I don't have any annuals in the ground yet, still few weeks early. Lots of plants in the GH though.
Do you run a greenhouse or is it just for your own use?

I want to try to add pics from the garden more regularly this year. Need to make some hummer food tomorrow, quite sure they will be in my yard any day now.
I can remember a greenhouse when I was a little girl and I used to love to go in and smell the flowers. You are sooo lucky

He is fishing off the beach. I watch the fishing boats go out of ocean city Maryland all summer long. I usually try to keep track of the wave action 20 miles out for my friend when he goes out in the summer.
In the time we have been talking our temp has gone back up to 64°.
I think they said on the radio today that our water temp is only in the 50's. I hope he catches some good ones.

I hope so too. It is nice for him to get a break. His wife is going out to San Francisco on Monday for the week on business, and, he will be in charge of Maggie.

The JAMES RIVER FALCON, "ELIZABETH", has a half-hatched chick sticking out under her wings----I love watching the falcon's eyes---She always appears to be flirting with you----COOL--

Falcons have the most beautiful feathers, after the eagles of course. The eagles at Kent- great pics of their large feathers.
Between that and wedding stuff....lots of shopping to get done...
