"West Virginia Status: The first documented bald eagle nest in West Virginia was discovered in 1981. Eleven nests produced 21 eaglets in 2001. These nest sites were located in Grant, Hardy, Hampshire, Pendleton , and Mineral counties. In 1999, a pair nested in Hancock County but were apparently unsuccessful in producing young. In 2001, a pair nested on Blennerhassett Island in the Ohio River near Parkersburg , but no young were hatched. Twelve nests were active in 2002, but not the nest on Blennerhassett Island. Non-breeding eagles have been seen in most areas of the state."

Well here they had a snow day Dec1, day before that new facility I was telling you about had its Open House. No one went much of anywhere that day except for 6 employees who HAD to go get an Open House ready LOL. Then freezing cold for like 1 week, and now no more winter for rest of dec or even jan so far, but yes they say its coming...at least a little more seasonal temps.

I think while you was out due to job closings for holidays. I took some pics of 2 eagles in the BW eagle nest. This one close up sure looks like it but maybe not. They were beautiful in that nest. Can't wait till they lay eggs. Boy we'll have a good set when they hatch !! ( :
Well thinking back on the falcons at Harrisburg. The female was older but she had lost her mate. So the new mate for those chicks we watched was "a young falcon". Boy he wacked her a couple of times. Even while she layed in the nest. lol
So if at least one of these two eagles have that kind of engery then we hopefully will have eaglets at BW. fingerscrossed
Good Morning all. Off to coffee and dog treats. Glad to know our eagles have checked in this morning even if MOST of us were still asleep LOL.

Those are BW eagles and Florida we've been watching; especially BW.
It will be ok your just getting started Suzanne been up the longest and I've been up on here too. Go get your "wake up". smile
Live feed at our eagle site been down since I came in and is still down. 8:38amEST and no eagles spotted at our nest as of yet.
Don't know where they have Mei and Tai at????
Finally there is our Tai and Mei. The little prince is crawling all over Mom on the concrete walkway. I just heard one of them bark.

Our boy is now at the spot where Mits and Nilla got to see him. On the log by the tree. Where that piece of log is not laying on the ground near the fence where you all stood. Remember Nilla I had you going this way and that way. Oh now that I think about it maybe it was the "Ray Charles dance". lol
A couple where you two stood is watching Tai. He is cracking even me up. He is rubbing his head, now is back on the tree. He is flipping this way and that trying to rub himself against the tree and not fall off the log. lol
Ok he says enough of that I'm going to the willow tree and climb up he goes.
He has something pinkish or red in his paw up there. Now he is eating it. Well one thing for sure is Mei won't be taking it from him. Smart boy.
