Hello to all ya'll eagle watchers. I've been away tooooooo long and have missed ya'll. I'm doing well and hope everyone else is also. I still watch our eagle family but just don't talk much. I'm basically a shy person. lol I'll be around a little more now.
Goodorming my eagle friends - not used to seeing more than 200 posts on a thread. Steve has spoiled us lately.
Bob, so good to see you on the blog - looks like you had a "picture perfect" birthday!
Red - wow - welcome back!! Please visit more often!
Hump day for me - we have a sub for my BFF for the rest of this year and she is able to start today. I hope she knows what she's getting into. Hard job being a sub any day, but especially the last 26 days of school with 8th graders!!
Going to be busy today. Kathryn talked with the allergist about Hunter's ER visit, and he wants him to go to their office and take a dose of the medication. He will then need to stay there for observation.
Hi, Judie. Please keep us posted. Hope that all goes very well at the vascular doctor's.
Goodness. Had to get out the computer to do this post. Was on the phone, and for some reason the phone decided I wanted to delete my prior post. Sometimes it is impossible to control technology. You just have to take an end run around it.
Good morning beautiful eagle folks. I'm so glad to see some warm and dry weather. Flowers are blooming and our grass is finally green. I hate winters. I recently had Carpal Tunnel surgery on both wrists and they feel so much better without the numbness and pain. Been working in the flower beds a lot lately. Everyone have a nice day.
BOB, thanks for sharing your birthday trip to those gorgeous Falls!
RED, good to have you back now that your wrists are up to typing comfortably again! We've missed you---your recipes and meal plans! Are you still enjoying those sausage gravy and biscuit breakfasts with your pals?
JUDIE, hope those arteries earn an A+ for good behavior!
JO, enjoy the new do! We need a new pic of those wonderful curls!
SHIRLEY, hope the doc is able to give Hunter some much needed relief. This is supposed to be a rough year for we who suffer with allergies.
SANDI, I agree, that sub has her work cut out for her--hope she's the jewel those kids need for the final push.
Errand day here as I prepare to have Julie's dog, Malcolm for 10 days. I try to keep my outings to a minimum when I have both dogs, needing to reserve any excess energy for the walks and play he needs. He's younger and larger than Penny and needs a lot more exercise than she.
Funny thing about Hunter. The allergy tests show no allergies. The doctor decided that he has a sinus infection and gave him an antibiotic. We ended up in the ER because the pharmacist thought he might be allergic to the antibiotic. That is why we are back to the allergist. ER doc said to stop the antibiotic. The allergist wants to continue the antibiotic.
Good morning! A half inch of rain last night! Loving all the rain! Hope it continues! Want to go on record to say thank you to all who have prayed for rain for Texas! Please keep it up! We are making progress! Some lakes are filling up, but just west of us lakes are below 30%. They are needing to mow where there used to be lake.
Got our new grill. Put the old one down by the road and it disappeared! Funny what people pick up. Did not get anything fancy, but it will do the job and we grill all the time, several times a week.
Sitting here with ice on my shoulder. Sometimes I used the heating pad. Definitely have limited use. I think I see therapy after we return from our trip. Groan!
Think today I will do a little Lollypaloozing since it is so wet outside?
Ah, I see Red returned. He's getting quite sneaking with those new wrists. lol
Back from vascular. Will have an intervention on May 19th.
Now to put my feet up and have that cup of coffee I denied myself this morning.
Bet Jo is looking just beauteous with her new "do."
Shirley, seems very confusing about the medical instructions for Hunter. Take this. Don't take that. What's a fellow to do? Relyon Mom and Grandmom, of course.
Bob - thanks for the photos - those falls look so refreshing.
Red - my friend I am glad to see you back here and know you are doing well - It is great that you can be out fixing the flower beds ! You had surgery and now are feeling very good - means you can be on here since your typing skills are not hindered. Know that you are missed when not around. You still cooking up those good meals?
Shirley - my question is why can't Hunter be on another antibiotic rather then continue with the one that upsets him. There are so many different ones - Somebody please get it all together for an active young fellow!
Good afternoon. Yes Jo, I am ready! All left to pack is my curling iron. After I do the do this evening. I didn't pack my wheeled carryon that can fit under the seat because my shoulders have been sore lately and even though it fits under the seat, it leaves too little room for my long legs when I'll have at least 9 hours in an airplane seat. And you can't count on overhead space these days.
Nice to see Red and Bob pop in.
Shirley, sounds like neither of the Drs. know for sure. I guess That is why some say medicine isn't an exact science. Hope Hunter is feeling better.
Sandi, hope the BFF gets whatever she needs. And very glad they got a sub willing to finish the year.
Judie, hope your intervention does the trick.
Kay, guess you'll be doing a lot of dog walking for a while. Good exercise for you too. I'll be in the company of my Irish Setter grand dog. Hope I'm not called upon to walk him as he is accustomed to jogging and mountain hiking.
The nest looks as though Ducky is now all over the place. I hope to see Eagles for the next couple of weeks
I'm not eating as good as I used to. Diane retired and we usually have breakfast at home now together. I do still make sausage gravy and biscuits occasionally. We've been talking about a trip to the Grand Canyon this fall and stop by to visit with my brother in Amarillo, TX. Diane and I both have been in all 50 states but I have never seen the Grand Canyon except from 35,000 feet above.
I expect the allergist wanted to establish for sure whether or not Hunter is allergic to the antibiotic since that's what allergists do. And it is important to be able to take certain antibiotics at times. Since he had determined previously that Hunter has no allergies, he had decided that the problems are coming from a chronic sinus infection that needed antibiotics.
Anyway, Hunter did not have an adverse reaction this time. It turns out that he took the stuff on an empty stomach before, which might have been the problem. I stopped at McDonald's on the way to the doctor's office since I picked Hunter up just before lunch. (I did read the label on the bottle. Maybe Kathryn was in a hurry?) Hunter was also told to drink a full glass of water when he takes the medicine.
We noticed something else unusual. When Kathryn and Hunter were at the doctor's before, the doctor was in a wheelchair. This time he was walking around. They hadn't seen any sign of injuries, so they thought he had some kind of permanent condition. Maybe he was participating is some kind of wheelchair-friendly activity. I do not know.
I haven't made it to all fifty states yet. Guess that is something else I need to try to accomplish. Haven't been to the Grand Canyon, either.
Working on getting my passport so I can go to France. I have an appointment with the people at the post office on May 14. They will take my picture and process my application. Then I guess it gets put in the mail to the State Department.
50 states I have been to all the states but Hawaii and that is thanks to June and Terry (RIP) that I did see them all I did a few states with my parents to California also so been to some states twice Been to Germany also and Canada but no other country
I have so many hours of video of the vacations with them so happy I put them on disc and the Grand Canyon is GRAND I like Bryce Canyon also I think it is more colorful
Sausage and Gravy its been about a month since I made it Jordyn loves it HMM sure wish I would have bought some sausage OH well maybe Sat when I go back to work
LYNNE1 are you going to stay connected while you are on VACA internet wise ?? Sure hope you see lots of eagles do like Sasse did take a stuffed eagle with you Did you see the series of pic that he had Where his nephew wished him luck and said here take my eagle beanie with you He did and put it on the ground and in a bit a young juvie showed up and started to peck on it was some great pic he had of it
SHIRLEY Must be cause you are in a rural area Here in Fl there are government offices to go to to get your pic and passport then they mail them to you I didn't like that they kept all the paper work and mailed back to you like birth certificates, marriage licence and divorce papers Just thought they could make copies I took us maybe 15 min top to get it they took all 4 us at once Pretty cool Same place you get all license fishing, marriage, driver etc
ODD about the wheel chair If Jordyn was with you she would have said What happened That kid is not shy on questioning You may never know huh.
KAY do you have a fenced yard for the dogs? happy dog sitting and walking
I got a letter from IRS I knew I would be getting one since I made that big boo boo on my return
No problem They just said that they found a error in my math and have corrected it and if I wanted to depute it I could I don't think I will argue I did make a big boo boo
gonna head to the tower where the eagle roost at The one I found last night Its right down the street from me I am about to fall asleep watching these sleeping lazy bums
Oh good grief. Gosh I sure am glad I am filled up from dinner. Would have been torture to come on here and read about sausage and biscuits with an MT stomach.
Lynn, have a wonderful trip. Enjoy every moment to the fullest. Stay in touch as you can.
Shirley, do sincerely hope that the issue with Hunter is resolved quickly without any more complications. Sick younguns are not fun.

About to head upstairs for the night. Hunter and Kathryn must be sound asleep.
I think Hunter will be on the mend now. Really, he does not get sick very often. Kathryn said she knew about the need for food with this medicine and that he had eaten a hamburger. Now we are wondering if it was the burger that made him feel sick. It was a leftover from a restaurant meal. Anyway, he should be fine now.
I'll probably be getting a call from the IRS. This was our first year using Turbo Tax and I thought it was sent automatically. I was lucky enough to discover it but was a couple of weeks past the 15th so I may be charged a fine for late filing. Going nighty night now.
Good Thursday morning to all ♥ Beautiful weather today - had rain last evening. All the newly planted Mothers Day flowers got a good soaking.
Red - I sure hope you don't need to leave us when the IRS comes around - What a rude awakening that must have been. Don't know how much late fees are nowadays.
Just going to be relaxing today - thinking about Lynne and her travels to see family so far away.
Our eaglets are 6 & 7 weeks old this week. We should see lots of wingercising daily - 1st Week of June could be the 1st flights ! Eagle season is short when you think of 11 weeks and out of the nest.
Nice to see the eaglets up and moving and not snoozing as of late
Have already been out and back
Thinking of going to the south side to see the juvies down there and then buzz the tower where the other couple roost It seems our juvies hang around longer in Fl up to 16 weeks from what I can recall on my pictures from the past
good morning to all. I have been mia for a few days, but it has been go go go for me.
I am home today. I woke with a nasty migraine. when it abated a bit, realized my left shoulder was spasming. TENS unit, shoulder better, head is better.
I managed to wash the RV this week. that proved to be a challenge because the brush gizmo that hooks to the water hose decided to come apart @ the extension end. hmmmm. I improvised and got the job done. this weekend I will be cleaning the windows and prepping the inside as well as packing.
we also opened the pool. temps were in the upper 60's to low 70's when I opened it and now have risen close to 80.
tom is working hard on building the new steps and landing to the pool deck.
I've planted some flowers and veggies. less flowers than usual. with camping trips planned, I have to get someone to water them.
I have also been making mothers days gifts. I always get/make one for my neighbor peggy. I saw this thing on facebook that I will make for me as well, but made hers first. I will post pix later...
and I am making a clay pot lighthouse for Chelsea. my oldest loves the beach. I had no idea the darn pots alone would c0st me close to $50, then paint and glue, but....such is life. it is 3/4 of the way done. we are going to sneak over to her house early sunday morning while she is on the soccer field with mia and construct it over there. clay pots are rather fragile and it will also be very heavy when constructed!
if that's not enough, lol. I don't know what is.
hope everyone has a great day. *good to see RED and BOB pop in * KAY: how's the dog sitting going? *GRANNYBLT: happy travels! *STRONGHUNTER: hope all is well with HUNTER *SANDI: tick tock goes the clock...the countdown continues! *JUDYE: sorry about the boo boo,...hate knowing the IRS has you on their radar! *MEMA JO and everyone else: GOOD MORNING! Hugs to all!
Got a late start on the day--Penny and I slept til' 9:20 this a.m.--could not believe it! She went to bed at about 7:30 last night. More activity than usual yesterday---shopping/errands, a little outdoor work, an early Mother's Day celebration with Julie and Seth.....
JUDY, no I have no fenced yard, but do have a gated and secure deck so the dogs can be outside some of the time. They must be walked several times a day. Sometimes I take them together with their Gentle Leaders in place so they don't drag me around.☺ And, sometimes I take them out one at a time, staying in the commons area surrounding the deck so the dog left behind can see what's up. The forecast for next week shows about 4 days of rain and that will be the challenge. There will be lots of indoor tug of war (LORI's tug will be much appreciated!) and fetch games as I try to wear Malcolm out! There is a wide overhang around the front porch and half the building, providing a dry place for our necessary outings.
JANET, Kay's Doggy Bed, Breakfast and Beyond gets underway tomorrow morning. Julie and the guys will drop Mal off as they head for their first stop someplace in VA.
RED, if the feds come to gitcha let us know. We'll arrange for a posse of Momster's to help you escape! So nice that your dear wife is now a retiree, too!
SHIRLEY, happy to hear Hunter is on the mend!
Safe travel wished for LYNNE1--it'll be grand to be with Grands in Alaska!
JO, I'm cranking up the prayer time for you as your treatment begins tomorrow! Saying thanks for Modern Medicine!
Wow, sometimes I get tired out just reading about the activities of you busy, busy young gals---SANDI, JANET, JUDY, LOLLY---enjoy it while you can---I used to be able to work and play to the max, but now a daily nap or at least some feet up time are a must!
JO, I agree, the Eagle Season of mating, egg laying, hatching and full development of eaglets is so very short! We are so blessed to be able to view the miracle of life for our wild creatures this way!
Back home. Got my "do" did and now looking beauteous. Okay, well at least more presentable.
Checked on the eaglets. Made me nervous as one was wingersizing and hopping near the crib rain. So happy to see it hop and flap to center nest.
For those who may be interested, lots of activity at other nests. Loons have two eggs. Barn owl has three hatchlings. Berry Babes are branching consistently. Bear cubbies are play-wrestling - there are four now. Ezra and Big Red have two hatchlings at Cornell.
Ah, Red, please begin to plan your IRS defense - as in it was Turbo-Tax at fault. Eagle momsters, canes in hand, will be there to support you.
Janet, what a lot of work. Glad you are capable.
Kay, will anxiously await your Tales From The Doggy Bed and Breakfast. I''m sure your neighbors appreciate your contribution of summer flowers. I certainly would.
JudyE, I rather think the teacher was out of line based on what you say.
Headed across the hall to put my feet up for a few. Taco salad tonight. Easy and quick. Grocery shopping tomorrow.

Looks as if the eaglets are waking up in a bit of sunshine this morning. Fun to watch them toddle around on those feet.
Shirley, glad Hunter is feeling better. The hamburger. Wonder if it might have been something creative Hunter added to the hamburger? lol
Going to do a small load of laundry. Then off to get my "do" did.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day.
Good Thursday morning to all ♥
Beautiful weather today - had rain last evening. All the newly planted Mothers Day flowers got a good soaking.
Red - I sure hope you don't need to leave us when the IRS comes around - What a rude awakening that must have been. Don't know how much late fees are nowadays.
Just going to be relaxing today -
thinking about Lynne and her travels to see family so far away.
Our eaglets are 6 & 7 weeks old this week. We should see lots of wingercising daily - 1st Week of June could be the 1st flights !
Eagle season is short when you think of 11 weeks and out of the nest.
Good Morning Eagle Buds
*good to see RED and BOB pop in
* KAY: how's the dog sitting going?
*GRANNYBLT: happy travels!
*STRONGHUNTER: hope all is well with HUNTER
*SANDI: tick tock goes the clock...the countdown continues!
*JUDYE: sorry about the boo boo,...hate knowing the IRS has you on their radar!
*MEMA JO and everyone else: GOOD MORNING!
Hugs to all!
Good Afternoon Eagle Buds!!!
Prayers for all in need!!!

?? Question to teachers or anyone
A friend of Angie kids in school today the teacher Stated What no teacher appreciation gift this year?
the nerve I say!!
She was her first grade teacher and now her third grade teacher Do you think that was rude
The response of the child was we have one for you for tomorrow being its the last day of the appreciation week
Lunch was nice as always nice to get Angie time
still noticing we have sound WUWT?
Good afternoon to all.

Uh Oh! Better not let BobQ. see that photography.
Really beautiful. Thank you so much, Red.
Just a thought. Could be a very effective bribe with the IRS. They get the video and you get no penalty.
We were out running some errands
RED: great video on nature - lots of
nature's birds and animals. Liked it a lot.
I have some WETA TV tonight!
TTUL or if NOT
Goodnight to all - All is well ♥
