Every night I get busy working puzzles or reading and then when I get on everyone has said good night. Gotta break that habit.
Poor Jack, he has been going to doctor after doctor for various things and tonight he is beginning to feel sick. Prayers please that it is not a urinary infection that may be coming on. Guess there will be no armadillo hunting tonight. Jufie will also be safe if she is hiding out in the garden fairy house!
Goodorming my eagle friends. We had rain last night but the stars are out now. Still, I can't see the moon b/c of all the trees around the house. Will try again to see it when I go upstairs to get dressed.
Lolly, hope Jack is feeling OK today.
Jo, hope your chemo goes smoothly these next 3 days.
had an odd occurrence last night. was really sleepy. went to bed. (remember didn't sleep well the prior night). oh good. I will sleep. (this rarely happens to me). and as I was dozing off....I heard soft footsteps...thought it was the SANDMAN.
smiling, sleepily, yes, extra sleepy dust please.
then, THUNK THUNK THUNK I was hit in the head by GREEN PECANS and evil laughter ran down my hall way....
Oh, oh, Jufie certainly has some fetishes. She's found a nice supply of toe socks as well as a cache of pecans. Anyone with those items on hand must take extra precautions against her evil intrusions.
JO, prayers, as always. May these next three chemo infusions go as well as those you've already had.
SHIRLEY, I'm impressed with Kathryn's expertise and her ability to excel in what is "a man's world"! Hey, girls, looking for a Dudley to call your own? Hang around I Car class sites!
LOLLY, Jack is on the prayer list, too. It's wonderful that he is so aware of, and willing to seek help for, his physical ailments. Many men try to ignore such things and it doesn't pay to do so!
SANDI, like you, I'm surrounded by huge old trees and can never get a good look at the sky or horizons. I'd love to have seen the rare sight of the sun rising in the East and the moon eclipsing to the West. That was to happen at 7 something this a.m..
This is to be our one sunny day this week, so deck cleaning and lots of outdoor fun with Penny in the offing.
Good morning! Jack says he is better this morn. He is out in his workshop helping a friend with some wood working. Time will tell. Phone rang early this morn for Jack. Then rang again a second time. I laughed and told him it is sad when the only phone calls you get are doctor appointment reminders. Really not the case, but true on earlymorning phone calls. LOL
Ouch, green pecans thrown at you would hurt!! Sorry about that. Hopefully will send Jack out hunting again tonight. He will be looking for Jufie and the armadillo who dug again last night! He is now doing his worst damage way down front under the pecans. Jufie???
As Kay said the other day....going to get my ears lowered this morn. It's get your do done time!
thankfully, an ice pack helped my aching head. but my mind is still filled with the sounds of that laughter (goosebumps up and down my spine!)
ok, on to serious business. hope everyone is well... glad Jack is doing better and JO, take care of you
I did not see the eclipse, I was too busy flipping covers on me (brrrrrr) or of off of me (hot hot hot hot hot!)
I should have just gave up and got up.
ANYWAY.
Dr. Khalpheke our vet called this morning.
The news is not good, but then, I didn't anticipate it would be. Per the blood and urine work, the cancer has mediatized in Sable, probably invading bones. Her liver enzymes, and they tested for several, but 5 were super high and one was astronomically off the charts.
Lymphocytes and WBC count are also up which is indicative of a secondary infection.
SOOOOOO, given that she still looks and acts okay, doing all the things a dog does, we are putting her on antibiotics, a broad spectrum one and adding SAMe to her diet.
And just when I thought I have all the fun I can handle, the gyn called. And this wasn't unexpected either. Per her review, she feels the previous ultrasound was inconclusive and wants another ultrasound within the Vanderbilt system, which is fine. So we are setting that up now.
Fun fun fun.
So anyway, I'm just plugging along, walking in thankfulness for all that I have. Taking deep breaths and smiling....life is good.
Got my do done on Saturday. I had made an appointment for a haircut, shampoo, and blow-dry styling, but decided to go for a perm as well.
Yeah, I would have trouble going to sleep if I thought I would be awakened with thrown green pecans. My house is guarded by a basset hound and a cat. If Jufie shows up here, Luna would sit on her feet. That is what basset hounds do. Lucky would meow a greeting.

Oh good grief, Janet!!
Sounds like you need to be armed with something you can throw back.
And keep your bedroom door locked.
