Janet, best wishes on your physical and dental appointment in the morning...
I talked with a friend of mine in the "Tomahawk" are of Hedgesville...Jo, not too far from where you son? or maybe grandson? was working a year or two ago.... and she saw an adult bald eagle not too long ago, it kept swooping, so she brought here cat in right away!
Thinking of Paula.... BEST WISHES ON YOUR DAY TUESDAY, PAULA....
like Jewels, I have a lot of backtrack reading to do.... so therefore I am a little out of touch with everyone's happenins'
I did make a foray out to Swinging Bridge today, it was great, soon no more getting into the water.... but the sights and sounds shall still be wonderful for awhile
JEWEL I am so sorry for your medical issues you know we are here for you as Margy says and we will help you get through this Healing thoughts coming your way Keep the chin up you have a big support group here
Hi all, back from the mountains...reading back, will comment as I go.
So Hunter has a cell phone. LOL!
Oh, I do so miss the stinkbugs....said I....NEVER!! LORI, the green ones are our NATIVE Stinkbugs, no where nears as problematic.
Kay so glad you had a nice weekend with Seth, catching up on his first week of college!
Uh oh, I wonder if the evil Jufie had something to do with Judie's computer problem....
Lolly, shame on your son! I think you SHOULD say something to him about the inconsideration to you and Jack. As of now I am reading you didn't get but 10 raindrops...I saw the weather yesterday and was so hopeful you'd get more.
Lynne - Carolyn/Jewels didn't mention it but Christie is taking her dog Kayla to donate blood. How cool is that - it never even crossed my mind to do something like that.
that is very cool! I don' t think many people realize that dogs and cats can be blood donors. They have to meet a very specific criteria, but it saves lives for sure! My cat Joker was a blood donor for a very sick kitty back in his younger days!
A six year old in foster care was killed in Saskatchewan. The culprit is a child under 12. Our Criminal Justice system says nothing could be done. Social Services could ask for psychiatric counselling but he can not be taken into custody to ensure he follows up. Do so so sad as I do not think he will get the help he needs. The RCMP will tell us more tomorrow. Sad for the loss of the 6 year old too!
Dinner over and a quick walk around Hawkwood, but still too warm so back inside. Armadillo did damage last night and Jack has set the camera. Not until he does major damage does Jack go a huntin!!
Oh, and forgot to tell you about the new neighbors. Yep, new neighbors behind us, behind our privacy fence and they have two pets. Roosters!!! Oh, good grief, this is all we need. The roosters are at the back of the property, behind a workshop on their property. Away from their house and close to our bedroom windows. Lovely just lovely!
I am sure you heard about the mom who woke up in the middle of the night Her two kids and truck was gone Her 10 year old son stole the truck with his sister in it I think she was 6 well he crashed she wasn't in a seat belt and she died So sad I feel so sorry for that mom How will she ever forgive her son being he is responsible for the girls death and what was he thinking of
Carolyn, I have been worried about you. Could easily tell on fb that you are depressed. You will be fine with the procedure. Being put to sleep is rather nice. Just relax and let them do their thing. Try positive thoughts, positive statements...you will be surprised how much better you will feel. Say a prayer, give your worries to God....and then smile! :) He loves you, we love you. And, just think of how great you are looking with your weight loss!! Wow!
JO???!!! JO JO JO ???? Are you eating brownies now too??? Good Gracious me!!! LYNNE HAS A POWERFUL SUPPLY OF BROWNIES!!! From here on in all shipments will come from her!!! Border crossing problems now solved!!

LOLLY WITH PAINTED TOE NAILS runs out, not sure of state of dress or undress...
Thank you everyone. Yes I am still attempting with weight loss. Have not been very strict, so no real loss, but no gain. Just maintaining. another thing the depression does to me, makes me want to snack too much. I just don't understand what makes each day and each episode so different from the others. But it is what it is. Maybe, I will look at this being put to sleep bit as a real rest?! I really need to get to the beach. Planning on trip with Sis and her MIL Sept 26-30 to Ocean City and then our beach trip (IF) I get approved to be off, Oct 21-26 to the outer banks. I just ordered 5 purple heart shaped Floating Lanterns and 3 purple led floating lotus lanterns and 2 green ones for our memorial there for Mom's ashes. Going to be a tearjerker time for sure.
Jewels, we are here for you. I have never been put to sleep either, except when I was very young. All I can tell you is to have faith in your Dr and medical team, I'm sure everything will turn out just fine.
Oh JEWELS and CHRISTIE... You are taking her to the Outer Banks. God Bless you ladies. God Bless you
From now till November 5 and subsequent healing you are in my prayers... You will be alright with the whole thing with your MOM'S group lifting you in prayers.
Proud of the weight loss program and maintaining. Yes depression drives us to snacking and carbs...

Well, I am now the owner of a John Deere lawn tractor. Been thinking about it since June. Actually, been thinking of getting a lawn tractor for a long time.
Will has really let the lawn go this summer, and I just can't start the mower we have. I am sure I can start the John Deere, but maybe I will not have to. I expect Will and Hunter will enjoy using the new tractor. We do have a big enough yard to justify a lawn tractor.

When we were in Colorado, we saw lots and lots of prairie dogs. One of the people at my brother's lab said that her husband collects the fleas on prairie dogs, so, of course, I had to say something about Prairie Dog John.
Last night, I sent a link about Prairie Dog John to my brother. This morning, when I finally got to sleep, I was rudely awakened by George walking on my head. I swear, I was dreaming about Prairie Dog John.
We took Hunter to Jim's lab--just trying to expand his world. Hunter acted semi-interested, but Kathryn heard him excitedly telling his friend Ryan all about it.
One woman showed us the project she was working on involving the soil that washes out of areas that have burned in the recent fires.
HODA, you still up...it's awful early, or late, for you. Hope you get some rest. Maybe you're just in such great shape you don't need as much sleep as you used to!
SHIRLEY, congrats on the new lawn tractor. I've had three. Couldn't do my yard without one. You'll love it.
LOLLY, agreed. Michael needs to hear from his Mom! Sorry about the armadillo and the heat you've been having.
JEWELS, going to sleep for surgery is the easiest thing in the world. You already have the IV in, and they tell you to count to ten, or backwards from 100 or something, and 3 or 4 numbers later all you know is you're waking up in the recovery room. We love you, sweetie! Congrats on the weight loss, too.
PAULA, Great luck today on your first day at your new job. You must be so excited, or nervous. Is Crisfield in MD or DE?
SANDI and DANAMO - Can't believe you're going back to school already. Summer went so fast! Have a great day with your new kids in class. Hope it's a great year for both of you.
Wow, time if flying this morning. I got up before the alarm at 4:30. Having our first test in school this morning...75 questions! Hope I do well.
Off now to grab a shower, get ready for school, only going to be 71 today, and hit the road.
Good morning!! I'm ready to see those smiling faces today! Hard to believe another year is starting.
Prayers for all those in need. Dad gets his results on Wednesday. God I hope there has been shrinkage in the lymph nodes. I don't think I can bear bad news...
Lori- good luck on your test. So proud of you for going back to school, such a hard thing to do, but so worth it!!
Sandi-30 years? Holy Cow! You rock! Have a great year. I hope, you have a great year. For me, anything has got to be better than last year! First full day, here we come.
Carolyn praying for you. I hope all goes well.
Geesh, I didn't even know it was foggy out until I pulled up the cam. WOW...glad I didn't decide to go run this morning. I've been fighting an an injury that after 3r weeks finally feels better. Hopefully I can get on the pavement again starting tomorrow.
JEWELS, good on you for the weight loss ! Praying for you as November approaches--my Julie and I have both had that procedure--easy as pie--enjoy the nap ! Love the plans you girls have for your mom's ashes--it's good to think of her resting near the Outer Banks she loved so much !

DANAMO, prayers continue for your dear dad !
Hugs for MARGY, JUDYE and HODA--always enjoy your posts and words to the wise !

Wooo hoo. THEN the day is MINE!
I plan to piddle around the house and chill a little bit. Feeling tired, but think that is likely just a lack of caffiene.
JUDYE: I never got to drive Mom & Dad's zero turn tractor. Tom got to, but I didn't. I think they thought with my vision issue I couldn't handle it.
It looked cool though.
Sometimes I wish we had invested the extra money and got one for this yard....tight turns sometimes.
ANYWAY....holding all with concerns close in my heart and thoughts...for comfort, for healing.
Light, love, and smiles to all. I'm off to have a fan-tab-u-lous day! :D
Just finished our "walk" and was watching the Atlanta Panda cam. Momma rolled over but before doing so picked up a cup with two paws, brought it in close and rolled. So sweet! Now cub is alone. Momma got up and walked away.
Hi, Gang, Dropping in to say hello and get caught up here on the latest.
We have had an AWFUL weekend weather-wise! It's still super humid today. Temp has been in the high 90s-low 100s, with nasty mugginess. Got an alert on my cell phone that woke me up early Sunday, saying there would be heavy fog until 9 am. Riverside and surrounding areas have gotten enough rain to cause flooding, but we here in Anaheim haven't gotten a single drop! I SOOO wish we would get some winter weather! Emma's really looking forward to some cold weather, too! She has made it through the weekend OK, thanks to her Kool Collar and some cold, wet towels.
On Sunday, Ken and I went and visited our friends Jim and Darlene, and we had what can only be described as church in the home, with a lot of sharing and praying going on. It was fantastic! Jim is doing fairly well on a 90-day program to get his breathing stabilized and his heart, too. They have home care nurses coming out for treatments, and he actually says the best treatment for him is sharing the Word and prayer! He did look much better when we left than he did when we arrived. So I'm asking for prayer for him when and if you are prompted. Thanks in advance!
Well, need to put more "blue ice" in Emma's collar, so will say goodbye till later today. Saying prayers for Carolyn, and her upcoming procedure. Prayers for Lolly & Jack too, with their new alarm clocks! HAGD, everyone. I ♥ us!!!

Lolly - you typed that she picked up a cup and held it with 2 paws - I
thought she was taking a drink of something! lol I know better then that!
I am going out and sit on my deck in the sunshine for a while.

Howdy all !
Just popping in at lunch time to say hi!
Too funny! Meant "cub". Typo got me again!!! Such is life!
Hi Paula!!! Hope your day is going perfectly!!
Hi, Gang,
Dropping in to say hello and get caught up here on the latest.
I ♥ us!!!
