Susan, I expected food last night as well - or this morning for sure!! He was SO great at delivering food last nesting season - not so great at feeding it to the chicks at first, but great at bringing food to the nest. Instead, he showed up with fresh grass this morning! DUH!! Hopefully, Belle will come through!
Today & tonight: Cloudy. A slight chance of rain and snow in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 30s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 20 percent. A slight chance of rain and snow in the evening...then snow after midnight. Snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches. Lows in the lower 30s. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.
Monday & Monday night: Snow in the morning...then sleet...snow and rain likely in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 30s. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent. Sleet likely in the evening. Rain. Lows in the upper 30s. Northeast winds around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation 90 percent.
Reading back, I see we all have the same concerns about food. Chicklet will be OK for a day or two without food. Not to worry...it's just such fun to watch them eating:)
So we have a second pip. Maybe the plan is to wait for hatch 2 and feed them both at the same time. Who knows. I don't have the cam on right now BUT if a fish arrives please note it here BOLD would help. I will try then to get first feeding videoed. Judy might be off today and she will catch it. Come on little eggbert and bobble head and FISH!!!!
Good morning! Another Pip Pip Hurrah Day! Maybe another baby today!!!!
I wil check in as I can. We finally got started on installing the "invisible" fence yesterday....a lot of wire to string around the yard...YIKES...thru the fence, around the fence, trenches to dig...and bowling tonight.
Once the line is strung, the worst part will be done I think.
Well, Paula, I tried to give you a weather forecast based on what I read yesterday. Now, I will say that Margy mentioned snow prior to that. Just goes to show you. I should have listened to Margy.
It has been said that "April is the cruelest month." March can be pretty bad, too.
I will not try to plant just a few stalks of corn this year. That was a failure. The squirrels enjoyed the corn. We got none. There wasn't much. Didn't get tomatoes, either.
I have bought some lettuce seeds. Will try that. I would like to try potatoes.
I have never been able to raise tomatoes in this yard. I had a huge crop in Ohio. Did much canning, even. What few tomatoes I have gotten here have been eaten by squirrels or birds.
I did have some parsley last year. It was happiest when the weather got cold.
I still need to get my do done. Was going to do it yesterday, and never made an appointment. Wonder what I was doing? (In addition to taking George to the vet.)
Oh it starts out like gangbusters, corn does...but we had corn blight and I barely got a few ears out of it, that's when I had a house in Hedgesville town and lots of room to plant.... I miss those days !!!
I hope he is better, too, Margy. Kind of hard to tell with cats.
I thought I would try to sneak a pill into his food last night, yeah, that did not work. It was still in the uneaten food this morning, so I resorted back to the pill popper. It is such a small pill that it is a bit hard to pop.
I have had lots of pill-popping experience with George. He has gotten two pills a day for quite a few years, but those are bigger and easier to handle.
You can hear both chicks peeping! I could also see the chick in the egg working on that shell! Maybe today!! Where the heck is the food??? I'm not really worried, since I know #1 is fine for a day or two. But I'll just feel better when I see fish in the nest, esp. with the weather forecast.
Mornin' Lynne2! I like McChicklet. =) While I agree with Judie that giving a chick born today the name Paddy O Joy would remind me of that awful, sad nesting season, I think that a name starting with Mc is a good idea! I guess first we have to wait and see if he/she gets out of that egg today.
Yep Margy, I am going to disappear as well, though I will be sitting right here at my computer. I need to get this kid's IEP written!
Still waiting for that food delivery! The ugly weather is getting very close to the nest!! Wind has really picked up there. Still just gray and cold here in Bethany.
Boy, that Hedgie is a feisty one!!! Wiggled his/her way out in front of Shep! Shep now looks like he's trying to find some food in the nest! Sure wish Belle would get back and quiet this youngin' down with some food!
Oh boy - Shep needs to get back there now! Seemed like he was digging all around looking for food but he's forgotten that he's the one who's suppose to bring the fish!
I'm with ya PattiO!! That was scary - even 5 minutes uncovered is a long time in this wind and cold! Have to keep reminding myself that they know what they're doing! They know what they're doing! All is well!
Yes, I think it's 'clicking' in his mind now but he'll have to wait for Belle to come back. I do wish the weather would get warmer. Winter doesn't want to let go yet.
I think Shep is still in egg sitting mode - no food needed! Needs to get into babysitting mode and remember that babies need to be fed or they make a lot of noise!
Happy St Paddy's Day everyone!! Am trying to keep up on the blog and have been reading last years blogs too. My eyes will be tired by this evening. I saw where someone mentioned Riner or McRiner or something starting with Mc. Just a suggestion....Riner was moms married name which she mentioned several times wanting to change back to her maiden name.....it was McCann. fitting, eh?
We human eaglet grandparents LOL are interesting folks. The cam at Alcoa in Davenport very near my home also had a hatch yesterday about 3 hours after our little bobblehead. This morning fish are almost falling out of the sky # fish sit in the nest BUT the first feeding has not happened YET That nest also has a second unhatched egg. No one watching that nest is worried about food or fish or hungry chick although it too begs and peeps LOTS. I say this because I need to remind myself to Trust the eagles. Just thought I would share. Having said that I still say come home Belle and start lining the nest with fish because WE NEED THEM THERE LOL.
Good afternoon eagle buds! I have been lurking and watching all morning and am anxiously waiting for someone to feed that baby! I think I have PTSD from when we lost POJ! LOL! I am sure the eagles know what they are doing but I need them to FEED THIS BABY!!! LOL!! Hope everyone is having a great rainy Sunday. It is gonna be a lazy day around here.
Oh yeah, Linda, thank you for the link for the flash browser for my iPhone. It works wonderfully and I am sure I will be buying it when the trial runs out. I love being able to peak at the nest where ever I am!
I hear peeping! Looks like the second egg is gonna hatch today. <3
I like McChicklet, it has a fun ring too it! I had actually thought the "Mc" part because of Lynn's maiden name and thought of McCann altogether, but then I got to thinking the Lynn herself might think naming both chicks in her honor would be a bit much?
I agree with PattiO that it has now clicked with Shep that his role has shifted. He did great last year with food deliveries - no reason to think he won't do fine this year.
Glo, thanks for the reminder that the eagles know what they need to do. I'm sure of that. My worry is the weather that's headed to the nest. I doubt that Belle or Shep have a weather app on their iphones but we know that bead weather will arrive soon. I'd like to see chick #1 get some food before the weather gets there in case Belle has to keep them covered up.
Shamrock would be okay but Patty or Patrick has already been used. And I agree Lynn might think it a bit much to name both eaglets after her. Gosh I sure do miss her with all the eggcitement. Love you guys!
ESPN! I just made up a Shamrock juvie eagle for the occasion! Whatever name we dicide on using, these chicks will be here in honor of our Lynn! ☺ ☺ ♥ ♥
I really, really like Shamrock! Someone suggested it on the other feed and since they honored Lynn with Hedgie it would be nice if we agreed on Shamrock for them. Just a suggestion....
I like Shamrock as well and get Lynne's point that naming both for Lynn might be too much. I also agree with Maria that we would be playing nice to agree with the folks on the OC site about a name.
Hi Jeanine and WELCOME!!
OK, back to IEP writing - I've only managed to complete the first page so far! =(
I think i might have gotten it wrong, they posted that someone "on the blog" suggested Shamrock, so that's us and now looking back at posts I see that Stronghunter suggested it. I like it.
Minor error-----I had deleted the N from ESPN, but it showed up anyway~~~Boo. Lynne, You can combine parts of pics in photo programs. Used Photoshop. Open the first pic, Eddie Eagle, open 2nd pic, Shamrock.Draw a dotted line around Shamrock, under Edit choose Copy and slide it over. It usually puts a dotted box around it so you can adjust size, then click! I am really going to try and wwatch this as much as possible today, but I've got to vook the corned beef, cabbage, & potatoes and work on some cool pics from Rainy Day Tuesday.
Well darn, I just posted on the old thread instead of this now one. OY!
I just got home from church and lunch. I see dear Belle on the nest but no fish yet? (i told Susan on cam chat I was on my way with a bucket of fish, she was bringing ladder. Hedgie will son be 24 hours old and must be hungry. Now I will begin my fretting.
And bobble #2 on the way. I like Shamrock too :) ᕙ(`▽´)ᕗ
Belle is up and "practicing feeding" with the chicklet. Watching this brings back sad memories. I just wish some food would show up - this chick wants to eat food!
Oops, I see that it's Jeannie, not Jeanine - sorry!
Paula said a couple years back that it is fluid exchange between Belle and the chick when beeks touch and there is no actual food in the nest. I think this is what Belle was doing earlier and continues to do...
Home from church! Welcome Jeannie to the best blog ever! I hail from Texas but have been to the nest two times now and have met many on the blog personally.
I like McCann but agree with a lot of you on how Lynn would feel. I like Shamrock a lot...Hedgie and Shamrock, sounds good. He could be Shamrock McCann..Sham for short. lol
Wow.....why did I just do this to myself. Just read througb 4/25 and 4/26 of last year. 1/2 box of tissues later, I MUST get off my butt and get a few things done. 4th load of laundry going in, hubby has the corned beef, potatoes and cabbage cooking in the crockpot and I am off to the grocery store. BBL!!
And you guys are right....Mom would not want all of the glory...maybe McCann can be another year! I like Shamrock :)
I see Happy Hatch Day is here for one chick and nearly here for the second.
I don't think we need worry about food "yet", because with their yolk sack and the fluids that Belle is giving the chick, it can live for a couple of days.
But I too wish Shep would show up with a couple of rabbits or a giant carp or a few perch like another eagle we knew did as soon as a chick hatched.
Jeannie, last year was Shep's first season as an eagle parent. He started delivering fish to the nest very quickly - LOTS of them. But it was a warmer spring and maybe fish were easier to catch? IDK.
However, it took him the longest time before he understood that he could/should feed the chicks. At first, he would stand in the nest and feed himself, but feed nothing to the chicks! Eventually, he caught onto helping Belle with the feedings.
I'm sure he'll come through just fine this year, but I sure wish it would happen sooner than later!!!
I am going to leave the laptop and run to CVS for toothpaste. Maybe this is a case of a watched pot never boiling and, if I leave, Shep will arrive with lunch!! =) Plus, this is becoming too anxiety-producing for me to watch!
Can't argue with you on that point, Jeannie..though our many friends here also from their best states and provinces also ☺♥
Loretta: Maybe Frank could play like Christie's Hubby and do up the vooking ... yes, I hear that RSH often at NCTC, AND, the mother RSH at Swinging Bridge was on the roost a few days ago...3rd year I'll be watching that nest
Lydia...I am stopping and starting on everything I am trying to do also ☺ Pretty nice all this occurs on a week-end though, eh? Not that everyone has this day off, however
Yes,,,we are all in the same boat MAGPIE and HODA. And yes, very nice (for me) all this is happening on a weekend when I am off. Now it will be perfect WHEN we get a nice big hunk of meat, fish, carrion, or even a hot dog on that nest :)
Camera shake...did Pa take off? Not sure...I hear a noise ont eh cam and a slight shake again. Maybe he is doing a jig being as how it is St Patrick's and all!!!
and JUDIE, I think even Belle is getting a bit anxious about no food to give lil Hedgie. They know what to do BUT they also know they have to stock the pantry. Hunting must not be good today.
Someone call the gate guard at NCTC and ask him to slip some meat over there by the nest (just kidding)
At this point I don't care what they bring to the nest as long as its edible and cold weather does not make difficult fishing BUT frozen water does. Is the water near NCTC frozen over? Just asking
Just had family company leave. I made a few trips to the PC trying to monitor what was happening. It's 3:14 so soon the meals on wings should be flying in!
I have to put my feet up for a few - Come on Shep - bring it on ♥
Mia Culpa, I didn't get a chance to welcome all our new Bloggers!(some we already know, like Christie! ☺) Happy Hello, you have come at an opportune time for sure!
Do you think it is possible that there is food at the top of the nest where we can't see? Maybe Belle has a little something besides moisture she is giving when she makes those feeding motions
Sis, sorry, I have too gone back and read April's blogging. I end up in tears too. I like the name Shamrock too, and Mom loved Shamrocks, so its still fitting for the whole Lynn (MOM)feeling.

A new chirpy chick AND a pip.
woohooooooo
Thanks Steve for the new St. Patrick's Day thread and thanks Susan for the call over!
Steve, great shot of chick #1 and the egg with Shep! I agree, time for some food for this new baby!!!
Thanks for the new thread, Steve!
Sandi, I'm a little surprised that Shep didn't deliver some dinner yesterday.
Susan, I expected food last night as well - or this morning for sure!! Good morning,
Thanks for the new thread, Steve. And thanks for the call-over, Susan.
We do need food for this little one.
I see a nice pip in the second egg in Steve's pic
GOOD MORNING ☼
We are so blessed today!
I don't see any fish...thought the nest would be full of them. Maybe tomorrow the feeding will start.
Have a Blessed Sunday~♥~
Checked the Weather Channel. Looks like there is snow nearby. Hope it does not amount to much.
Thanks STEVE for the new thread!
Thak you sUSAn for the call over and congrats on your feather!
How's it going at the Beach, Paula?
Shepherdstown, WV weather:
Today & tonight:
Cloudy. NOT chick-friendly weather! =(
Hi Paula!
Went back and looked. I see that pip now, too.
Reading back, I see we all have the

Sandi, thanks for the weather update.

Light, love and hugs to all!
1 to 3 inches of snow tomorrow...not good, but Belle and Shep can handle that (praying).
38° right now.
Well, Paula, I tried to give you a weather forecast based on what I read yesterday. Now, I will say that Margy mentioned snow prior to that. Just goes to show you. I should have listened to Margy.
It has been said that "April is the cruelest month." March can be pretty bad, too.
Hi Wanda,
Good morning!
That chick is just so precious!
Cold and cloudy...38 here this morning...but any day at the beach is a good day :)
JANET, we are going to put an electric fence around our garden this year...I will probably be the first one to get shocked!
Our daughter had the invisable fence and it worked most of the time. Not 100%
That's my favorite expression, Paula:)
Good morning - nest looks great - Thanks for the new thread, Steve and for the great picture.
Going to be another day full of events
I will not try to plant just a few stalks of corn this year. That was a failure. The squirrels enjoyed the corn. We got none. There wasn't much. Didn't get tomatoes, either.
I have bought some lettuce seeds. Will try that. I would like to try potatoes.

Shirley, potatoes are hard back work but it is sure nice to have fresh ones.
Good Eagle Watching Morning, Eagle Pals
There IS an osprey on the platform at Blackwater Osprey Cam ☺
Corn was always a dud for me,
Shirley, but I have had pretty good
fortune with tomatoes
and MEGAN FLOWERS ☺
Saw the little eaglet a short while ago and an egg roll and heard some cheepings too
That was nice....
I grew delicious potatoes in Ohio.
Fantastic Open Up Picture with the new thread....
Thanks Steve ! You know what makes our hearts sing
Figured corn might be a problem. It was fun to watch it grow.
And Thanks Susan for the Call Over
Oh it starts out like gangbusters, corn does...but we had corn blight and I barely got a few ears out of it, that's when I had a house
in Hedgesville town and lots of
room to plant....
I miss those days !!!
Precious Image on Googl today, I am not sure if it is animated or not
Happy Saint Patrick's Day, Everyone
The Pip on the egg in Steve's picture is bigger than the black
spot on Shep's Head ☺
Hope George is going better,
Shirley
I got tired and sore reading
about the invisible fence
installation at Janet's
Gee Whillikers that is one loud and low-flying plane !
Yes, I think that one buzzed the nest. Too bad it didn't drop a fish or two.
Shep was like, "what the h$#* was that?"
I have had lots of pill-popping experience with George. He has gotten two pills a day for quite a few years, but those are bigger and easier to handle.
I guess that other noise is a Crow?
And I hear baby eagle peeps
"Well I'd like to feed ya'
but there isn't anything here to pick from"
Nice view of the egg and chick
and Shep
You can hear both chicks peeping! I could also see the chick in the egg working on that shell! Maybe today!! Where the heck is the food??? I'm not really worried, since I know #1 is fine for a day or two. But I'll just feel better when I see fish in the nest, esp. with the weather forecast.
Osprey is still at BWO;
Nice...
I'm thinking either Belle will return with something, OR,
when she returns Shep will go get some chow
I'm not worried either but it
will be fun to watch feedings ! ☺
Hi Sandi and all Morning Eagle Pals here
I guess I heard that second egglet peeping too, was trying to see movement but I can't say I could...
Good for you, Sandi !
Younger Eyes ☺
Could you squish up that pill and get it into George's food Shirley?
Also the term is Corn SMUT
not blight...that's what I had,
it was disgusting looking....
Yes, the nurishment they got from the egg lasts several days. When I hatch in the classroom they tell me they don't need to be fed for 2-3 days.
MIght be Tundra Swans we hear flying over... ???
can't say for sure at all,
could be local other things
Wowser, Sausage gravy and English Muffins was just delivered... ☺
It IS Breakfast time after all...
more like Brunch!
The Google Image IS animated on my lap top, little girls going up and down
DanaMo, sounds like all went well
with the Play...did you and your parents enjoy it ?
Top o' the morn to ya!
I see that our little McChicklet is working hard to exit the confines of the egg!
G'Morning Lynne2
Nice Avater, don't think I told you that.
Tag You're IT -
I need to disappear for awhile...
am on call for work
NO James visit today :(
Big Super Waaaaaaaah !
ttfn ☺ ♥
Top o' the morn to ya!
And the same to you, Lynne and to all!
Have been reading the paper and monitoring the cam. Saw the pip!! Wowser!! Now come on Belle, please deliver a big ol fish!
So is the chick's name officially
Hedgie?
I wasn't looking at the nest when the plane buzzed, but I heard it.
Time to go eat a bite of breakfast and then leave for church. Have just a touch of green on. :)
Probably will just pop the pills into George. I don't want to waste them experimenting with putting them into food and have him reject it.
Yes, the eaglet is Hedgie!

I think Shep just took off!!! Chick and egg are alone in the nest!!!
Oh boy - Shep needs to get back there now! Seemed like he was digging all around looking for food but he's forgotten that he's the one who's suppose to bring the fish!
OK, Shep is back and is covering up chick and egg! Good!!
There he is! I could see that piece of straw in the upper part of the screen.
I'm with ya PattiO!! That was scary - even 5 minutes uncovered is a long time in this wind and cold! Have to keep reminding myself that they know what they're doing! They know what they're doing! All is well!

OK, schoolwork!
The last switch was around 7:22am when Belle left - She should be back around lunch.......... with lunch I hope.
BBL
Sooooo agree. Shep needs to get his "fishing" instinct kicked in for the season.
Great to see so many on the blog this morning!
I'm off but first, if the chick hatches today, how about McRiner?
Later Gators!
I could hear the other chick peeping when Shep was up digging around. Come on Miss Belle! Come back with a nice fish!
Hooray, Hooray!!!!!!
Baby Chicklet is here and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!
Happy St Paddy's Day everyone!! Am trying to keep up on the blog and have been reading last years blogs too. My eyes will be tired by this evening. I saw where someone mentioned Riner or McRiner or something starting with Mc. McCann!! I like that.
Hollering and fly-out by Shep. Egg and chick alone.
Come on, Belle!!
Eagle in nest. Belle? Yes!!!
Belle is back and I hope she told that man of hers to get his butt out and do some fishing!!
Please bring food, Shep.
No Food :(
Christie, McCann would be great!! I like it!! =)
Sure looks as though our 2nd hatch is not too far away
The pip looked long!

Didn't it look like she was feeding Hedgie while her back was to us?
LOL Glo! So true! :)
Christie, I love, love McCann!
I like McCann also!
Good afternoon eagle buds! I have been lurking and watching all morning and am anxiously waiting for someone to feed that baby! I think I have PTSD from when we lost POJ! LOL! But the eaglet will not remain a "chicklet," Lynne. We need a name appropriate for an adult eagle.
Trying to think of St. Patrick's day eagle names:
Pat
Patrick
Shamrock
Saw that too, Maria. Not sure what she was doing.
I like Shamrock!
nice look at the exit hole!
I like Shamrock!
hey there, welcome Jeannine!
Shamrock would be okay but Patty or Patrick has already been used. And I agree Lynn might think it a bit much to name both eaglets after her. Gosh I sure do miss her with all the eggcitement. Love you guys!

Thanks for the welcome. I am new to the blog.
Wow Loretta that's really cool! How do you do that kind of stuff?
Glad to have you Jeannine! What part of the world do you hail from?
I really, really like Shamrock! Someone suggested it on the other feed and since they honored Lynn with Hedgie it would be nice if we agreed on Shamrock for them. Just a suggestion....
I am from Hernshaw, WV, near Charleston.
I like Shamrock as well and get Lynne's point that naming both for Lynn might be too much. I also agree with Maria that we would be playing nice to agree with the folks on the OC site about a name.

Was out trimming the fig tree...had to stop...inside washing dishes now

Oh, big hole in the egg!
Belle is doing that beak thing again. Wants to feed the little one.
Hi, Maria, I am Shirley on the OC posts.
Please, Shep!
Belle is up and "practicing feeding" with the chicklet. Watching this brings back sad memories. I just wish some food would show up - this chick wants to eat food!
Oops, I see that it's Jeannie, not Jeanine - sorry!
Shep, please come home with food!!!
Is baby getting real food that's out of camera view?? Or saliva?
sigh sigh I want to celebrate. What a difference a fish would make. Belle gone now
There will soon be two little ones to feed. Belle is getting anxious.
Oh this breaks my heart...
Would also like to see some food for the baby!
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!
Welcome Jeannie...and welcone back Maria
Last year there were times when there were tons of fish in the pantry. I'm sure there is no reason to stress. They do this naturally.
Good morning for it is still morning here!
Paula said a couple years back that it is fluid exchange between Belle and the chick when beeks touch and there is no actual food in the nest. I think this is what Belle was doing earlier and continues to do...
@ stronghunter and paula - thank you.
:)
He could be Shamrock McCann..Sham for short. lol
@ Lolly - thank you.
Hoda, it's moisture from Belle's nares. Salt water.
Oh, Hedgie is talking...wants food. See the big crack in the egg.
I hear Shep in the tree. If he had a fish, he would have landed with it so ...
Shep is in the tree. Shep go get food!!!!
I think if Belle was stressed she would be calling out for Shep.
I do not like watching this kind of "feeding".
Belle really, really needs to start calling LOUDLY to Shep to get him going.
I keep picturing in my mind the fishing ramp down from the nest that Frank and I finally found last year! Hope Shep finds something there soon.
Lolly, how do you know Shep is in the tree??
He jiggled the cam...twice.
Calls--I am assuming that was Belle?

GooD MorninG,
Happy St. PatricK's DaY,

C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Yes, Shirley, that was Belle.
Hi Jim, we all know that but you know how mommas worry. hahaha
Does daddy feed the babies crop milk like mommy does?
That is a good question that I can not answer, Jeannie. Have only seen Belle feed this way.
Jeannie, I have not witnessed the male dropping water from nares but assume he would be capable.
Happy St. Pat's day, Momsters and Dadsters!
It's good to see little Hedgie this morning. Can't wait to meet the new mcchicklet. Shamrock is a wonderful choice!
IEP is written!!! =)
I have faith that Shep will produce a meal for the chicks. It is important for them to be kept warm right now.
hedgiesbaby Christie;
It's completely understandable why you do these things....going back over painful moments of the past...
We are With You...and have done the same from time to time
Welcome Back Movin' Jim
A sight for sore eyes :)
Red shouldered hawk in the distance at NCTC
and Welcome Jeannie C, another
West Virginian ☺
And Welcome back, Maria, and AZPatti...
now, I would like to see Bird Girl today also ☺
there's cheeping to be heard another hatchin' to be watched
I am going to leave the laptop and run to CVS for toothpaste. Maybe this is a case of a watched pot never boiling and, if I leave, Shep will arrive with lunch!! =) Plus, this is becoming too anxiety-producing for me to watch!
BBIALW!
Glad that man of yours is
fixin' up some vittles, Christie...
(( Hugs ♥ ))
Thanks, Margy!
On the bright side,
at least Belle is giving us more
views of the clutch
Someone, Shep?, seems to be squealing from a little bit away from the nest.
@ magpie - thank you my fellow West Virginian! Best state in the Union!
Yes, maybe that's the RSH I heard & of course crows are around.
Can't argue with you on that point, Jeannie..though our many friends here also from their best states and provinces also ☺♥
Loretta: Maybe Frank could play like Christie's Hubby and do up the vooking ...
yes, I hear that RSH often at NCTC, AND, the mother RSH at Swinging Bridge was on the roost
a few days ago...3rd year I'll be watching that nest
time for me to do something....
not sure what but it will be here
and the nest will be UP BIG
ttfn ♥
MARGY Glad to see the Provinces there too!! O CANADA! LOL!!!
I ♥ US!
Some pretty AWESOME FOLKS come from WEST, BY GOD, VIRGINIA we must admit.
HEDGIESBABY {{{{{HUGS}}}}}
I have tired leaving computer for awhile and doing other things in hopes that I would come back to find food delivery..now working...yet
Oh look--second egg has a big crack now--almost cracked all the way open!
Belle trying to give the chick moisture again. Come on food delivery, please....
oh wow the Shamrock McChick is really working on getting out!
That eggbert is moving
and baby is Jonesin' to get outta there !
Hi HOda ! And Lydia
We are one large and wonderful national and International Fellowship
I saw the second egg crack move, widen, just now.
Yes LYDIA it would be nice to have a food delivery.
Egg/Hedgie roll.
Jeannine, you will find us using words like "vook" which is cook, or "deet" which is deer. We all make typos and they become part of our blogcabulary!
Lydia...I am stopping and starting on everything I am trying to do also ☺
Pretty nice all this occurs on a week-end though, eh?
Not that everyone has this day off, however
When Belle sits down I get up,
When Belle gets up I sit down!
Building the railing higher and higher!
I am so thankful this is happening on my weekend!
LOL MARGY ♥ you and Belle dancing...
oh good, me too. Trying to get things done while anxiously awaiting the new arrival and a food arrival is exhausting!
Hi everyone,
Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
Have been watching on and off. Was a treat to see the second babe rolling its incubator all around trying to get out to see the world.
I know the eagles know what they are doing but not feeding the eaglet for almost 25 hours is unsettling for me.
Going to distract myself for a while.
Yes,,,we are all in the same boat MAGPIE and HODA. And yes, very nice (for me) all this is happening on a weekend when I am off. Now it will be perfect WHEN we get a nice big hunk of meat, fish, carrion, or even a hot dog on that nest :)
Heard noise above!!!!! Hope it wasn't wind
Sounds like Shep's in the attic.
Yes, we are all one great big collection of "the best states" that make up this awesome USA! Thank God I live here!
Good to see you JUDIE. Me too on the 25 hours!
Cam shakes again!
No on the Hot Dog LYDIA!!! LOL!!!
I have to put my feet up for a few -
Come on Shep - bring it on ♥
Hello to all our new Eagles Fans!
Ok,I am awake...got the race on, the camera on and now to catch up on here. Good Afternoon!!!! Sure hope I see where Hedgie was fed!!
GLO From what I know about the Potomac River
it does not freeze over - that is one reason the eagles stay all year round.
Right Jo, the Potomac does not freeze over, and it has not been that cold anyway.
Mia Culpa, I didn't get a chance to welcome all our new Bloggers!(some we already know, like Christie! ☺)
Happy Hello, you have come at an opportune time for sure!
Do you think it is possible that there is food at the top of the nest where we can't see? Maybe Belle has a little something besides moisture she is giving when she makes those feeding motions
Back from CVS - have turned off the sound and minimized the cam page. I cannot keep hearing that peeping and staring at a nest with no food in it!
Oh, and it's SNOWING outside - here in lil old Bethany Beach, DE!!!
Bought chocolate at the store - that's how stressed I am!
Walking away from the computer - will check back later! Going to eat me some Cadbury Mini Eggs!
Sis, sorry, I have too gone back and read April's blogging. I end up in tears too. I like the name Shamrock too, and Mom loved Shamrocks, so its still fitting for the whole Lynn (MOM)feeling.
YAY, Shep, but WHERE'S the FOOD????
Sandi, I am stressing a little too, I may go get a second helping of ice cream! And that I don't need!!!!
Oh geez! Shep flw in but no FOOD????? Okay, I am getting worried for real now. Can we hold hands?
