Well, then....Howdy Hodie! :)

Night Lynne...you'd better spend more time with your pets, LOL. Sounds like they are siding with
Steve!

Lolly said...

That trip took me by surprise!

paula eagleholic said...

Didn't see that split coming...

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEe

enjoyed the ride!

GMTA, Lolly!

I am still up, because I'm obviously wired, and I am trying to get my Mom's handmade bedspread cleaned...I let it soak for 2 days in the washer...think it's finally clean...it is a handmade crocheted bedspread.

Boy it's getting harder to type words correctly...

Lolly said...

Time for me to call it a day. I am ready for a hot shower. It always feels so good!

We should be getting our storms early in the morn about getting up time. Looks like it will be here for a couple of hours at the most and then pass on. I do not call that a major rain event like the weatherman predicted. Boo hiss!

Night all! SED!!

paula eagleholic said...

Something is better than nothing...

SED, Lolly.

Lolly said...

Oh, Paula....I have a handmade crocheted bedspread, too. My maternal grandmother made it. It is beautiful. Have it in one of the guest bedrooms, the Michael room.

Hoda said...

Thank you PAULA...It would be something I would find very threatening and I am not sure I would know how to deal with it...God Bless you and LARRY and I am sure you two know how to deal with this big event in your lives.

Lolly said...

I have never washed it...afraid to.

It is ivory and I have it over an ivory comforter. I put a lot of colors under it to see what looked best and really liked no color at all under it.

paula eagleholic said...

Lolly, I am putting mine on a bed in one of the guest bedrooms...Nick won't lay on the bed in there...so it should be safe there.

paula eagleholic said...

I got a dark brown one....but this one is really closely crocheted and the color doesn't show through...looks more like a dust ruffle at the bottome.

I soaked mine in the washer, and did it on gentle....

Lolly said...

I am one of 15 grandchildren....can not believe my grandmother left it to me. It is a treasure, but she had put my name on it and a round mirror.

paula eagleholic said...

Lolly, would love to see a pic when you get a chance...and I'll do the same.

Hoda said...

Yes indeed something is better than nothing...I wished I had your calm and your grace PAULA...I literally would not know what to do and I am not sure I am up to going back to work...I suppose I would if I had to and I would find a way to survive.

Lolly said...

Mine is very lacy and the color shows. There has been discussion that it may be a tablecloth and not a bedspread. No one knows for sure, but it really is special on the bed.

Ok, really need to go.

See you all tomorrow!

paula eagleholic said...

My Mom used to just soak the more delicate ones...

Lolly said...

Will take a picture tomorrow!

paula eagleholic said...

I have some tablecloths too, that are lacier...they do fine on the delicate wash and gentle dry.

Lolly said...

Not sure how to dry it, Paula.

Lolly said...

It would be so heavy and it is definitely an antique.

Hoda said...

Time for me to do some meditation and call it a day.

Morning coffee with a friend and then a routine Doctor's appointment and then some volunteer work for the April COnference that is coming up...it is a Provincial conference and there will be delegates from all the chapters in BC.The Canadian Federation of University Women...

paula eagleholic said...

Thanks Lolly, would love to see it.

paula eagleholic said...

Could also line dry it...or over the shower curtain rod...

Hoda said...

Good night.

PRAYERS ♥

I hope we get to see the antique bedspreads too.

paula eagleholic said...

Enjoy your day tomorrow, Hoda.

SED, love and hugs to all ♥...gotta wind it down here, too.

paula eagleholic said...

Got the bedspread out of the dryer, it is hanging over the curtain rod to finish drying...

Put pics on Paula's Prints.

Good morning my eagle friends! OMG - what a chatty group y'all were last night!! Took so long to read last night's comments that I now have no time to post anything!

So I'll just say prayers for all the needs on the blog, esp. for Bev and the Riffe family and for Sharon's pain.

Make it a great day!

Good morning to one and all....

Off and running on another Thursday.

Although sad for the Riffe family, thankfully that Granny Riffe is at peace...

Yesterday was a chilly day. I think the wind made it feel so cold. It felt warmer at the ice rink than it did outside!

Didn't do too awful much yesterday, was actually very tired most of the day I went to bed very early.

I hope everyone has a great day! Light, love, and hugs to all!

Good morning all. I have been up for an hour or more Can't sleep argh!!! After coffee and dog treats I will get Dex to the park for a little while before the snow. My AZ family had quite a day yesterday. Elia absolutely loved the snow. She made a snow angel and a mini snow mad and snow dog. Fun times for a kid who is being raised in the desert :-). Prayers for all to have a good day.

Good Morning Eagle Pals!

Prayers for the Riffe family now that Granny Riffe has passed. Blessings for all of you who loved her.

What a chatty group last night -- was surprised we made it to the split! Glad you all had a good time. I'll have to check out PAULA's pics of the crochet bedspread, and LOLLY's when she gets her pic on later.

PAULA so sorry about the pension. That hurts! I'm sure you and Larry will make it work.

LYNNE2, I hope you're not stressing over the move. Stay calm and all will go well. It will get done. I am so happy for you!

GLO, sorry you can't sleep. Glad Dex will get his walk before the big snow storm comes in.

It's snowing the big pretty flakes here this morning. Seems like it snows all the time, but hasn't amounted to much, thank heavens!

Had a massive power outage in this area last night - power out for 5 hours...could have been much worse, and good thing the parents have a generator!

Hoping everyone has a great day filled with love and joy, and lots of smiles! I LOVE US!

Lori O. said...

Forgot to say prayers for all in need including SHARON, JO, DANAMO's DAD, THELMA's BIL, Anne-Marie, SANDI's MOM, BEV and the Riffe family, GLO's MIL and WV JERRY's MIL.

Good morning,

Crocheted bedspread . . . my mother had one that she and her mother made. It was always one of my favorite things of hers, and I do not know what happened to it. I kind of lost track of some things as I was in the middle of my divorce mess when she passed away.

Would like to think my brother and his wife got it, but I do not know.

magpie said...

Oh, the quilt and the tablecloth...lovely, Paula...

magpie said...

oh excuse me

Good Morning Shirley....
and Glo and Janet and all to follow

PAULA, those are beautiful pictures of the things your Mom crocheted. Gorgeous!

Hi, Everyone,

Shar, Bev, and Family, so sorry to hear that Granny Riffe has passed away. What an amazing woman! ((HUGS)) & prayers for all of you!
RIP, Granny Riffe. Shar, I'm praying for some MAJOR pain relief for you--pronto--with no side-effects or other problems!

Jo, so glad your checkup was good news!

Lynne2, praying for some moving angels to help you, and prayers for Joker & the other critters. So glad this place is the one you'd hoped for!

Paula, glad Larry got a FT job at Lowe's. You're right--better than nothing! Sorry about his pension.
:o(
Thank God for the 401K!!!
Please give Nick a scratch behind the ears, and tell him that Emma says, "WOOF!!"

Feeling good this morning, so going to do as many Dr. reports as I can. Hurting just a little, which reminds me to be careful. I haven't had to take the stronger pain pills yet, so that's good.
Praying for everyone here, and all our furbabies. Have a good day, and I'll try to check back in later tonight. I LOVE us!!!

Good morning.

Soon to get myself less scary looking and venture out to see my wannabe adults.

Odd though, heard some report about potential domestic incident involving a chair. Strange. Really strange.

Wishing everyone as good a day as possible.
