SANDI & LINDA, the Gas Co. has drilled several natural gas wells on my parents property. Most have been here for quite a while, but the Gas Co is in and out a few times a week checking on them. I should count them. All I know is my parents get free natural gas and some payments from the wells.

LORI - At least your Dad has something going on to go check on!! I would imagine they have been drilling for marcellus shale on his property, if it has been in recent years. You can get free natural gas from wells on your property, if they convert if they convert it for you.
It is very big up here in my county right now. The activity with big trucks carring large equipment and water trucks is amazing on our smaller roads. They are also digging pipelines all over the place. One that will tie into the Tennessee pipeline and another that will eventually bring the gas they get from this area through Albany, NY and will eventually go to Boston! Amazing stuff.
How many acres do your parents own? If he has wells, he must have some acres.
It is all a beginning of producing our own resources here in the US that we already have, and I think it is a good idea. I don't know how much longer we will be able to rely on the Middle East for so much of our needs.

had a great day yesterday. i put out 15 bags of white marble chips into my flower bed....i am thinking maybe another 20 to 25 will finish that one flower bed??????? hmmmmm maybe i will get those tuesday????
i had a lovely massage in the morning. it was good to let go and just unwind.
then of course, the grandkids were over...they are fun to be around. so lively..... growing so fast.
we celebrated my son in law's 29th birthdya last year, or rather, his 8th anniversary of his 21st bday! :) the kids have painted their front room/s of their home, and added new furniture...it looks lovely. it looks like them. it is fun to be a homeowner sometimes....
today i suppose i will start putting those new filing cabinets to use! tom put them together for me and i will start filling them up.
daytona today...must watch that. and putting a brisket in the oven for dinner @ 3.
bowling tonight....then off and running on another week! how about that! last week of the month. spring is coming along quickly!!!!!!! :) :)

He could possibly be suffering from eye strain due to being surrounded with daylight. Report all sightings to the meteorological society being monitored closely by folks on a local eagle blog. Good morning everyone. Hope things have been well since my last visit. I've been dealing with a lingering illness since first of year and it was kinda bad last weekend. With not much to do last Sunday I got the nerve to work on my computer that's been down for a while. I took a hard-drive from another and installed it in mine. After four days of tinkering I got it back running. Hoping now I can be more regular here now. I've been enjoying the cam even though it buffers a lot. It's fun watching Belle settle down on the eggs...not sure what is happening but it's fun to watch. Gonna watch the race today...should be exciting with Danica...don't really have a favorite driver...my Mom likes Jimmie Johnson becuase my late brother's oldest son resembles him a lot so I root for him some. I do like Matt Kenseth though. Thoghts and prayers for all and enjoy your day whatever you're doing.
Magpie, we are doing okay. The services were really nice and it was standing room only. She was a well-loved woman.
I am still dealing with this pain. I go March 1 for an MRI on my back and then back to the doc on March 7 to get the results. More will be revealed (or not).
Kathryn came in last night and crashed, then took off to help a friend finish up moving into an apartment.
I am trying to hook up with a bowling teacher. Finally made telephone contact with the pro shop where the teacher works. Tired of throwing gutter balls.
Back home! Starving...hmmm...shall it be broth, apple juice, or lime jello. I know...all three! Whoopeeee!
We are on the Burnett Shale. Lots of wells around here, lots of big trucks on our narrow country roads. They had to post speed limits for trucks on the county roads. We get a gas check monthly, but gas price is so low the check amounts to nothing! Some months no check!

Move went very well. Eveyone was on time, 9am, we were out at 11:45, all cleaned and vacuumed, and once to the new place, unloaded in 45 minutes! By 2:30 we were eating pizza! Got some things upacked, picked up the furbabies from work.
I got the computer all set up, but the dang surge protector wasn't working, and I tried to hook the laptop into the wireless network but no success. I just got back from Walmart with a new one!
Steve WAY WAY WAY overdid yesterday. He was up and moving around all day instead of behaving. He's paying dearly today. His foot is swollen again and quite painful.

Not a chance that I would have fallen asleep on my skis today!!! LOL!!! It was a good ski. Did three loops and went down hill and felt generally good about being out there...the conditions were perfect. You send that SANDMAN over to my place tonight I will show him I can fall asleep. I am not sure I will rescue those chocolate covered coffee beans out of the freezer by Wednesday. I love their taste and yet they have a really bad effect on me. I slept all of four hours...not enough for this body. I will not take a nap but rather stay up till nine and turn everything off by then so I can go to sleep for a full night.
Edward wrote and email and we will skype on Friday. I feel happy about that.
My sister Hope invited me to come to the USA this summer!!!She lives in Oregon but will have a gathering in Connecticut next to Long Island Sound!!!We could go to Yale for activities and this sounds really funny to me because the Batchelders are a Harvard Family. I just heard of it today and have no idea how I can swing it financially. I have to think reasonably and with logic not only with my heart.MTBR...I like that MTBR!

LORI and LOLLY I have to think of it some more. I volunteered with a committee to put on a yoga Festival for the Kootenays in Nelson and if that takes place in September the summer might not be a good time to travel.
I always used to tell Mom and Dad I love them and not because of their money. I wrote Carol the same thing today as I am flabergasted by her offer. If I accepted it I would have to take it as a loan and pay her back when the other pension cheques start...I just need to think. I am not as concerned about flying this time around as it is still fresh in my mind from last summer. I will manage that part. I also know the drive to Spokane and I know the hotel in which to stay...I stayed at the Best Western and was able to leave my car there for two weeks...I did not think we were going to have a family reunion this summer and so I have to consider it all...
I also have to have two crowns this summer. The Dental Chair for three hours seems to drain me and that is playing in my mind will I have enough of a clear head to travel after that??? I do not know yet lots of things are coming in my head.

Yes it would be nice...My Festival Committee meets on Wednesday and will see what needs to be done and what is the time line to do it...I gave my word to help and the Yoga Community is such an integral part of my daily experience in Nelson. I can not back out on my word. I have never liked doing that and so I will see what the timeline Wednesday brings.

OH Lolly...I do indeed understand what you are going through...have done that twice... Even though I read the instructions over and over again, I only took one of two pills I was supposed to take last year, I freaked out ! And took it soon as I realize it.... everything turned out OK....as it will for YOU, but I prayer for good outcomes... I always take the day OF and day AFTER very easy...and don't eat anything heavy for a few days afterwards

First time I did the procedure, I could not complete all of the solution. My body simply rejected it, to put it nicely. I called the doctor and told him. It turned out okay. Second time around, it was not quite as difficult.
Now Belle is up and doing a big wing stretch. Shep is rolling the eggs and wiggling down on them. Belle takes off for some breakfast and some exercise.

The Utica shale is yet another layer that they feel will produce even better than the marcellus shale.
And yes it is all a form of natural gas!!
SANDI - There is a very rich area of this shale in a large part of PA, parts of NY, Eastern Ohio and Western and Central WV.
It all started, if I am not mistaken, with the Barnett Shale found in Texas. So many of the gas companies' workers are from Texas.

I got the computer all set up, but the dang surge protector wasn't working, and I tried to hook the laptop into the wireless network but no success. I just got back from Walmart with a new one!

Not a chance that I would have fallen asleep on my skis today!!! LOL!!! It was a good ski. Did three loops and went down hill and felt generally good about being out there...the conditions were perfect.
You send that SANDMAN over to my place tonight I will show him I can fall asleep. I am not sure I will rescue those chocolate covered coffee beans out of the freezer by Wednesday. I love their taste and yet they have a really bad effect on me. I slept all of four hours...not enough for this body. I will not take a nap but rather stay up till nine and turn everything off by then so I can go to sleep for a full night.

My sister Hope invited me to come to the USA this summer!!!She lives in Oregon but will have a gathering in Connecticut next to Long Island Sound!!!We could go to Yale for activities and this sounds really funny to me because the Batchelders are a Harvard Family. I just heard of it today and have no idea how I can swing it financially. I have to think reasonably and with logic not only with my heart.MTBR...I like that MTBR!

LORI and LOLLY I have to think of it some more. I volunteered with a committee to put on a yoga Festival for the Kootenays in Nelson and if that takes place in September the summer might not be a good time to travel.
I always used to tell Mom and Dad I love them and not because of their money. I wrote Carol the same thing today as I am flabergasted by her offer. If I accepted it I would have to take it as a loan and pay her back when the other pension cheques start...I just need to think. I am not as concerned about flying this time around as it is still fresh in my mind from last summer. I will manage that part. I also know the drive to Spokane and I know the hotel in which to stay...I stayed at the Best Western and was able to leave my car there for two weeks...I did not think we were going to have a family reunion this summer and so I have to consider it all...
Looks like the Good Wife is coming on at 10 tonight.
Been downstairs working on the basement some more, trying to get things boxed up to donate.

Yes it would be nice...My Festival Committee meets on Wednesday and will see what needs to be done and what is the time line to do it...I gave my word to help and the Yoga Community is such an integral part of my daily experience in Nelson. I can not back out on my word. I have never liked doing that and so I will see what the timeline Wednesday brings.
