Hello, hello! See I just missed a visit! Was so happy I didn't have to go to work, I thought it was Xmas Eve!!! Have 2 whole days left to wrap a couple local presents and do some vooking!

OH I forgot to say that our stores garden center cashier that is on the outside in the plant area was robbed the other nite one of my days off A male cashier the man came up to him in the line pulled a gun and asked for the money No panic the cashier opens the register and hands him the money there were other people around too busy day in the gardens shop that where Christmas is set up but this was the outside register They got about 1500 they already had a pick up so not to much in till
Didn't find out to much just that there was no ruckus made he just ran out then mgmt was called Lucky no one got shot Calm cashier for sure They got finger prints and pictures from the camera

I have left the cam window open on my computer. The picture will come on, then go black, and then come back on again on its own after about a minute. Sometimes refreshing fixes it and other times it doesn't. BTW, the nest is MT but the picture is still pretty clear.

I see our eagles have been visiting and some were lucky to see them. Not I, sadly.
GDub men won today against VMI -- my students played a great game. Obnoxious VMI fan behind me. Had to remind myself that it is the holiday season.
Tomorrow is cookie baking day for neighbors, mailman, police.
We may get the small tree up but some concerned about the Misses Audrey and Grace aka the demolition team.
The sandperson is gearing up for travels to the momsters and dadsters. The night light is on. Pleasant eagle dreams for all and for all a good night.

had a safe trip to ky and back. traffic coming back into tennesee was stop and go....not sure what exactly was going on..we got off of the interstate adn took some back roads for a bit. took us an extra 30 min to get home, but better safe...
had dinner @ red robin with the kids....then they came back here and i played with the baby...
another cold night on tap. they are saying snow on wednesday? too good to be true.

LYNNE2: usually people who celebrate the Earth get together to celebrate Yule....that's around here anyway. I have been to a gathering of women who celebrate Yule, which was quite lovely, several years ago. Now I am so busy that I choose to celebrate with just my family. Hi gang! We be home and boy are we exhausted!! We left early this morn to go to Laurel's. We had two trucks, a mini van, and our SUV loaded for about 4 trips to the new house. Now, nothing more until after Christmas. Laurel has large bookcases in all her rooms that Jack built. They look like built-ins but are not, so Jack was dismantling them and moving them. Jan. 3 the movers are moving the large furniture and appliances.
Our drive home was horrendous. The traffic was so bad. Our hour drive took 90 minutes.
Just watched the weather and it looks like that during the day Christmas day our weathere will be turning to snow...sleet....yuck!

THE LEGEND OF THE GARLAND
Once upon a time. . . (at 2:50 PM on Saturday, January 2, 2010, to be exact), the Legend of the Garland began.
But I must set the background first. At that time there dwelt two sisters within the Blog, their names being Ceil and Mits. They are beloved ladies. (Mits may still be found upon the pages of Facebook where she appears as Helen.)
Anyway, I digress.
Upon this windy day in January, another Momster named Jo had lost her trashcan, and it was speculated that it might have blown away. Fortunately, Jo found her trashcan, but then Ceil made the following comment:
ceil said...
"Well wind is so strong it blew the garland off the front window and broke the ornaments."

Thereafter, there came many sightings of the lovely garland throughout Blogland and upon many places of the earth. The sightings were sometimes documented with pictures posted by various Momsters. Wanda once spotted it in a restaurant, and, as I recall, Loretta found it flying high along with other objects from our adventures. She posted appropriate documentation in the form of a picture.
It did not stop flying in the wintertime, and was spotted in the heat of August that year.
The Legend of the Garland has fixed itself into the Internet and may be found by typing certain words into a search engine. Knowing that I had made many comments about the garland, I merely typed in my screen name and the words "flying garland."
One sometimes researches strange bits of information when one cannot sleep.
Oh, I see comments about the items in a far north hiding place, too. It is near a bear den of olden times.

Janet, about your comment on Livvy not knowing her grandparents. I never knew any of my grandparents when I was growing up. It was the main reason that we chose to live close to my folks and Denny's when we had our boys, and their grandparents were a big part of their lives. Older son Brian and his wife are staring to talk about children, and they also talk about continuing to live in different countries for Brian's foreign service job. They talk about the life experiences their children will have living in different countries. True, but they won't have their grandparents close by, and there is a price to pay for that IMO. I hope Brian and Lynnis consider carefully but, ultimately, it's not my decision.
Hoda and Shirley, parents are supposed to check in at the office if/when they come to pick up their kids for early dismissal, and most do. A few think they own the place and totally disregard the rules. It will be interesting to see the changes that are put in place in light of this last school shooting.
Prayers continue for Jo, Michael, little Isaac, Dana's dad, Lori's dad, Thelma's brother-in-law, Glo's Mom-in-law, Emily, Jim's sister, and Lynne's Steve.
Prayers also that Bev's foot heals, Sharon's heavy heart heals, and Margy finds some relief from the tingling in her wrists until she can get that carpal tunnel taken care of!

Good Morning eagle budlets
No cam this am
Good morning all. Word had it on the news late Thurs actually of a bright shiny object zipping through the Marina and headed south east in fierce winds. The eagles here were smart enough to not try to catch it but did wing it along with Christmas wishes far and wide. I will go see if I can get photos of the witnesses that saw it. They may be able to add some info to how our garland fairs over all this time. Prayers for all and wishes for a good day.
