Good grief, I must get me arse ready for the day! Had a bit of, uh, intestinal anger, since about 4am. GRRRR! So I've been up quite a while, waiting for things to calm, and they have.
I'll check in from work as time allows....could go either way today-pull my hair out busy, or, time to blog slow! LOL! Yesterday, we got quite a few cancelations. This happened last year, too, I think because people who thought they'd have time to come in for routine stuff have realized that they are not done shopping, baking, wrapping, etc. LOL!
Jo, what a wonderful day you had yesterday -lunch at NCTC and a turtle shell from the nest! You deserve it, girlfriend!!
Janet, glad the accident was just a minor one, but still - what a PIA! Glad to hear that Lorelai (love that name) is getting bigger and stronger by the day!
Great report on Isaac's day yesterday - hope his procedure goes well today.
Thelma, it's the big day for your brother-in-law - prayers that his surgery is a complete success!!
Wanda, prayers that Gene's biopsy is negative - when will he/you get the results?
Lori, sorry that your dad will have to have a bag but hopefully, the surgery will be successful and get all the cancer.
Glo, hope you are warm and the power has stayed on!! Stay safe!
Prayers also continue for Jo, Miracle Michael, Dana's Dad, Glo's Mom, and Lynne's Steve's recovery.
Heightened security today. Only one door available for access into and out of the building, armed police officer at that door all day - good grief! What is this world coming to and what is the answer?? My hope is that the parents just let their kids stay home today!!
Make it a good one all! Won't it be great to open that still cam during the day and watch for Belle and Shep?? Early Christmas gift for sure!!
Thanks SANDI! Dad has an appointment Wednesday where I think they're doing the test to see how much it has spread. It's so hard to think of anything else now.
Good morning all and Happy Yule/Winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D From this corner of TN the old man has arrived, it is chilly out! No snow, but didn't anticipate any either.
Going to be a dandy day. Fully booked yesterday. Fully booked today and fully booked Monday! :) :) :)
Thrilled that the camera is working and soon we will have video.... :)
Hope everyone has a super day. Holding each of you in my heart and thoughts for light, love, healing, and comfort. *smiles to all!*
Good morning all. I am bundled up and ready to work my way across the street with Dex. I hear a snow blower going. My guess is I will have a sidewalk when I get that far and the street is plowed. I just have to get us out the front door LOL and across the front yard. All is well and wind is much much calmer but wind chill well we just won't go there LOL HAGD everyone. Prayers for all.
25 of the 114 kids on our team showed up for school this morning! I am a happy camper!! Should be an EASY last day - we are putting them all together in one room and they'll get an hour of math, an hour of social studies, an hour of English, and an hour of Science. The teachers will only have to teach 1 class and then will have 3 hours to grade papers and plan for when we come back. The kids all thought they would be watching videos all day - surprise!!
Good Morning Everybody! Read some comments last night and saw that our wonderful Jo got lunch and a turtle shell at NCTC!!!!! How special, just like you! Don't think I'll be able to watch cam this PM at Chelsea, due to our 'puter getting some terrible "Invasive" notices Wed. I think it's a scam to try & sell protection you don't need, but the techies will come out in a WEEK to check it for viruses! Gotta do the do & head to Park party. Maybe some eagles will be in our nest!? Prayers for Good Health for ALL on our list ☺ ♥ Have a good one!
Isaac is going down now for his esophogram, dilation, and a bronchoscopy. They had some cancellations so he is going earlier than planned. Prayers please that every goes well!!!
Good morning! Prayers for Isaac and his procedures this morning.
Lori, my BIL has had a lot of colon problems. He now has an internal bag, that was surgically built. I do NOT know the details. However, I do know he has had a lot of "on line" support. He has made friends of others who have the same procedure, has received lots of advice, etc.
Going to cook this morning and prepare a meal to be frozen for our meal the day after Christmas when everyone will be here.
This afternoon we head to Dallas for an afternoon and evening with Zacharooski and parents.
Sandi, Laurel and boys are still in school though getting out early. One school district closed for the holidays a day early, took a built in weather day. They had a threat earlier this week and decided to just close.
Laurel is hoping to finish up her shopping this evening so she can help with the moving of boxes, etc. tomorrow. We head up early tomorrow to help.
Pot Plant owl is busy raising her babes. Phoebe is busy egg-sitting. Bears are peaceful. Pete's Pond is not working for me. Waiting for the NCTC live cam ♪♫anticipation♪♫
Shirley, I would certainly look into getting at least one more estimate. Had our house done a couple of years ago and no way near that $$. Can it wait until Spring?
Shirley, I think the White House could be power washed for $8k - good grief!!!
All is very quiet here at Selbyville Middle! About 40 kids showed up on the other 8th grade team, about 40 on each of the 2 seventh grade teams, and about 50 kids on each of the two 6th grade teams. All together, about 35% of our kids came to school - works for me!! I'm planning to start writing an IEP this afternoon for a meeting in early January.
Still no still cam for me this morning - just a black screen.
Oh my goodness! Not $8,000 for the house washing. That is for the whole job. It was almost $9,000, but that is for the work the contractor did on the house--replacing the siding, painting, etc.
They are not planning to do the house washing. I will contact my neighbor the house washer for that. I hope he is still in business and working in the winter. I think he charged less than $200 before.
The contractor just came over and talked about it with me at the request of the insurance company.
Sent Hunter off to school this morning. I did see some others at the bus stop. He said last night that lots of his friends were not going. One boy said that his mother was worried about the end of the world coming today.
Hunter never questioned about whether or not he was supposed to go to school today.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... I had to chuckle at the conversations about Shirley's house washing:) $8,000!!, Sandi then said, "you could wash the White House for that!" You ALL are a HOOT...I LOVE US♥ We needed our house washed, due to so many birds and spiders white-washing it, plus, our deck is on the North side of the house and gets green algae, mold and mildew often. So, we bought our own power washer for around $300. It is one of the best investments we have made. It does a wonderful job, but it takes some getting used to, to do it properly. Took the paint/stain off the deck, which was great, because we want to re-stain it in the Spring. You need a gentle spray for most cleaning jobs, but full power WILL take off loose paint!
Capt. Gene called this morning and said he slept well last night and was given a good meal for his HUNGRY tummy. He will be home around 1 or 2pm.
Hi Shirley! Isn't it nice to not be teaching this time of year?
Laurel just called. She did not have kids until 10:45, so she ran some errands and called while out. She picked up some homemade tamales for our lunch tomorrow. Yum! Nothing like authentic, homemade tamales!!
She had to get out to get the boys transfer papers turned in. Both boys had to get permission to transfer into the schools they are presently in. Their move will put them in other schools, but no problem. Their present principals want them. Nice to be wanted!!
I think no cam could mean someone needs to hit a reset button somewhere. It happened a lot the first couple of years and locals would call someone there and bingo the cam worked. Sorry can not remember who called who etc. But it was a simple fix. If they are now closed for Christmas "Holiday" break then well its a whole new ballgame.
Hi, Everyone, I have REALLY been MIA for a while! ...but guess what--the entire Texas family unit showed up on our doorstep, singing Christmas carols, and SURPRISED US BIG-TIME!! It's been pure insanity and glorious family time ever since! (And Emma is so happy to have visitors, she's beside herself with pure joy!) They're here thru the 29th, and we're busier than busy, and so full of joy to see them, we're beside ourselves too!
Guest list: daughter Jen, SIL Marq, granddaughter Courtney, great-granddaughter Sierra, granddaughter Jay, and Jay's fiancee, "Cierra with a 'C'"! We all piled into the rental cars and went and surprised (that's putting it mildly!) the other grandparents, Don and Emilee, and had a rousing good time there. Right now, everyone but Sierra and I have gone grocery shopping to get more food in the house. Thought I'd better get in a post here now, because I may not get another chance for a couple of days!
Prayers are in place from here for Baby Isaac, and everyone else on the prayer list! Will try to get back ASAP with another report of doings at this roost. The roof here is jumping! Have a FANTASTIC Red Friday, and an even better weekend, and I'll have more news soon! I love all of you! ♥♥remembering Lynn♥♥ ♥♥Carolyn & Christie♥♥ I ♥ us!!! OUT, DAMNED SPOT!!! ♥ you, Jo!
Well I see I am still here and checked to see if I was the only one and here you all are too...good thing...LOL
Good Meditation Practice this morning.
HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE everyone.
I understand no cam. I got an invitation from Outdoor Channel to join them...anyone else?
Going to a solstice tea this afternoon with some friends. Many activities happening here for solstice. Some are so very late...I will take the afternoon tea. I will join with a billion strong meditation at 10:30 PM for three minutes chant of a Buddhist OM world over...
Life is good and I love love love US.
Shocked at the 8000$ SHIRLEY and glad to read it was a bill for the whole job! Insurance will take care of that...
Laughed at SANDI'S suggestion that the WHITE HOUSE could be washed for that amount.
Glad HUNTER went to school without questioning it. He sounds like a really neat kid he does...
Drive Carefully LORI and let us know when you get there. You are a good advocate and I send much love and Light yours and your Family's way...
GLO glad you and DEX are alright.
I did not see a post from JO today. GOOD MORNING DEAREST JO.
HUGS to ZACHAROOSKIE when you see him LOLLY. You said they were travelling over Christmas? I forget where though, somewhere warm is my impression, beaches??? The Bahamas?
No one in our family is traveling, Hoda. Laurel is having Santa at her house Christmas morning early and then coming here late morning. Michael and family are coming the next day...and we will have Christmas again! Both families staying until Thursday. Friday we begin the big move!! (Laurel and family move!)
Right again, Sharon. I did list a few names when I was over signing in to the Outdoor Channel. Doesn't mean anything unless you want an account with Outdoor forum . I have been checking our still cam and the Live Feed. Nothing yet
What a relief to know that Shirley's power wash will not cost $8000. Smelled a large rat on that cost.
Wanda, Darth checked on the Capt. yesterday but the van had not arrived before he had to go for his own routine checkups. Wishing a clean bill of health for the Capt.
Sorry about the cam problems, but how Way Cool....sounds like Steve gets a nice looooong break and maybe lots of time to do things he and his family enjoy....
and I bet he is about as disappointed as we are with the black screen
Thanks Paula and Jo for the updates on your contact with Steve
Well sitting quietly in my computer room checking cyber space and I get a snow ball thrown at me and a sweet little English Boy says MERRY CHRISTMAS... Thank you JO for the Advent Calendar...so enriching to my day...I laugh and in my heart say MERRY CHRISTMAS to each and every one of you...
Making a list and checking it twice.....grocery list, and cooking schedule that is!!!
Going to be gone all day tomorrow, so Sunday and Monday will be a cooking frenzy, but that is okay...house is clean and presents wrapped. I like cooking when there is no other pressure!
Jo, my December list had Lynne's and Steve's anniversary on it - you didn't forget!
Paula, thanks for contacting Steve about the cam. Bad news that he is off today. I was really looking forward to checking in with Belle and Shep each day during my Christmas break!
Well, it's almost my Christmas break time! Cannot wait to get out of here and be "retired" for the next 11 days!! My principal announced that all schools in the district will be having buzzers installed so the entry doors can stay locked and all visitors will have to be buzzed in by someone in the main office. A step in the right direction!
Sandi - if I didn't forget and yet I thought I forgot - I'm really losing it! lol
I have been watching a pair of Eastern Bluebirds at my feed on the deck. Earlier a most brilliant red Cardinal visited. (To my area that usually means snow)
So shocked (I already shared this on Facebook). My mom has been concerned over the Doctor at Hopkins wanting an MRI of the abdomen for my dad. She thinks they suspect something more. I don't think so I think it's precautionary. Anyway, I sent Dr. Bivalaqua an email and he responded in 5 minutes!!! Sent at 3:22 responded at 3:27. I never expected such a quick response.
Hoda, it is mom who is concerned (I can't say much on FB because I am "friends" with her!). She is very Domesday. She just told me that she doesn't think dad will be with us for long. I totally disagree, but feel so bad for her. They are both getting depressed.
HELLOOOO Jordyn has elected to come home with me and watch Barbies The Christmas Story Which is odd she always want to go to the park maybe its tooo cold for her LOL with the wind chill they says its 50
Goodness gracious sakes alive, y'all got chatty all of a sudden ! Amazing what a sighting of our eagles will do !
Have skimmed, making prayer notes and want to assure you I'm praying for all in need !
Light snow and high winds here all day today. Penny hates rain, but doesn't mind snow at all. I do !
I picked Seth up after school yesterday and learned they'd had a lock down two days in a row. Wednesday morning someone reported seeing someone with a gun outside. Lock down ! Parents notified via e-mail. Noone and nothing alarming found. A couple of hours of school lost. Thursday morning, another lock down. Get this, Seth's best friend at school was the perp, a bright young man with a wry sense of humor and someone we've known since they were in Kindergarten together--the families get together about once a month, etc.. He was recently on the Homecoming Court and he was in the Fall play Seth was in a couple of weeks ago. Never a trouble maker. However, that morning he wore a handwritten note attached to his shirt that said "The End IS Near", poking fun at the Mayan thing. His home room teacher went ballistic, taking him to the principle who found it threatening and alarming---Lock Down, parents notified, the kid send home and suspended til' January restart. I can't believe it. Haven't talked to Julie or the guys today, but hope all was calm there today !
Again, praying for all requests and that our live camera is up and running for Christmas Day ! Love you all ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Oops, back for a minute to say how thrilled I am, JO, for you ! Our guardian angel, LYNN, has to be tickled pink as I know she knew how much you wanted one of those unique articles ! Yeah !
Already time to fix a chef's salad for dinner and get set to watch my Friday evening PBS programs. "See" you tomorrow !
Good evening my eagle friends! Well, I survived the week and am on vacation!! =)
Kay, I talked to a teacher at our local high school today - they had 98 kids show up for school this morning - enrollment is about 750 students.
Glad to read more good news about little Isaac - what a happy Christmas it will be for that family, even if they can't all be together!
Dana, I'm sorry that your folks are feeling down. It has to be so hard to maintain a positive attitude when you have a serious/life threatening illness. Are they still planning to take a cruise? I'm hoping that my mom's trip to TX to see my brother and his family will take her mind off of her aneurysm.
Pizza time and then I have to get a jump on cleaning bathrooms. Still have a few last minute gifts to pick up this weekend and cookie baking to do as well.
Have a good evening all - guess we won't see our cam up and running til 2013.
Dilation went AWESOME! Very little stricture at anastomoses and hernia still appears to be minimal. Isaac recovered quickly & was a busy boy until he finally fell asleep a little bit ago. His vocal chords were reported to function normally. There is some concern with the bronchial tubes & trachea but further investigation is needed to know exactly what's occurring. Keep the prayers coming...it's been a very blessed day overall. We are so releived the endoscopy & dilation went well.
At James's Intermediate School last year, they had the locked door and buzzer system, works for Me! And then they had a hi-tech photo camera for visitors, I had to do that when I would to for lunch. And all that in West Virginia...
DanaMo, thinking of you and the sadness enveloping you and your parents right now.
I hope you find that our Momster and Dadster Prayers will be helping, very soon. You had asked this morning for a list of all the prayer needs. I regret that I am not the best one to provide that...but God Knows, just take it all to Him, He'll take care of it xoxox
I know we are all disappointed about the Eagle Cam...being all black and apparently disconnected. BUT, there was surely some joy yesterday, and we know the Eagles seem to be safe... and we have the lovely pictures that he posted and Hoda'a pictures also....
I am sure Steve is as disappointed as we are...maybe one of his technical fellows or ladies will be able to help out, but in the meantime: Let's Wish Steve the Best of the Christmas Season, some time away from the office, and some precious time with his beloved Family! It's time for him to be Santa at HIS Roost xoxox ♥
I'm fighting being bummed about not getting more Christmas cards out. I think many of you know the Joy I have with snail-mailing. I have the cards, the stamps, the desire, but lost out on the time, so, most likely, some cards will be sent and arrive late
And I think with Monday being an official Government Holiday, the Postal Service is probably enjoying that Holiday also. Good For Them !! They sure do good service by me !
Well, as far as I can tell, the World did not come to an end today. Sorry to read that Kay's grandson Seth's best friend got into some trouble today....but it seems the schools got through the day okay.
Heading for the pillows here soon after some time fussing with some cards and things.
Prayers for Wellness, All Around, in all our Eagle Corners
MARGY - Rest your hands and save those cards for next year when you can do them without pain....... You should try your best to NOT let things get worse.....
We ALL know your passion and love to connect with everyone and your quest to keep the USPS in business, but your health is important!!
Had a busy day working on required CPE hours that must be completed by Dec 31st!!
Don't you dare call me a procrastinator........ Haha!!
Tomorrow will be a baking day! And maybe another online course....
DANAMO - So sad you're Mom is so very worried about your Dad, I am sure it must be very tough. Praying she remembers to trust God and be happy for each moment she has!
Kay, sorry that Seth's friend got into trouble. Sometimes people overreact. Just sad that people are so much on edge.
One of my students got expelled after Columbine, and I thought it was a major overreaction. It sounds like the punishment wasn't too great in this case, if the boy can come back in January, but calling a lockdown because of a sign like that seems pretty unusual.
We once had a major event at the middle school (I was at the high school then). There was a lockdown called because a brown paper bag was found in the hallway. Turned out that the bag contained someone's lunch.
But it was at a time when people were leaving bombs sitting around nearby, and there were explosions that hurt people. I believe someone was killed.
During that time, we had an event that caused the police to prevent us from taking our cars out of the parking lot. I was so tired and was not able to get in my car and go home until they had inspected the contents of a briefcase left in the parking lot.
Turned out that a teacher had forgotten the briefcase and driven away without it.
Had such a great evening We decorated gingerbread men and did a rice crispy treat house kit the 4 of us Jordyn played school teacher with us had me and Angie laughing so hard 58° out side now still not putting on the heat house is at 69 which is comfortable for me I got me electric bill $72 and that is amazing for me
On the housewashing deal: the insurance company will pay for that. I suggested it so that the whole house will be the same shade of white.
The siding is not really very dirty, but it's not as white as the new siding, though very close. I figured they would not replace all of the siding, but I could get a housewashing out of it, and it worked. I got it approved. I kind of suggested that it would be better than replacing the rest of the siding.
Did not think I would get more, but figured I would go for what I could get. :)
Wanda, I have other friends who have bought their own power washing machine. My house is three stories high in some places, and it just seems easier to let the pros do it. I get a discount from the company because I'm a neighbor.
I tried to wash the outside of the chimney once, and got a face full of cold water for my efforts.
Well thank you JO!!! No more snow ball fights around here and after I dried my face from the one I got through the screen I felt very cheerful indeed for the Christmas wishes...
Thank You.
DANA I am sorry there is worry with your MOM. It is hard on both of them I am sure. Thank you for explaining and I figure your faith will see you through...as I pray theirs will also.
Lock Down, Buzzers to get in the building, police officers in school would send Canadian Parents Balisitic. I just can not see it. They demand the right to see their kid any time they want and some march right up to the classroom without even stopping at the office. I had a hard time with this one. We have had bomb scares and evacuated the building several times. The kids figured it is a good way to get out from writing a major exam they were not ready for!!! I am aftaid to say phone numbers would be detected and the RCMP always got their man/woman/ or kid too for that matter. One kid phoned from a phone right across the school admin office so he was on camera and all the other kids thought he was a dim wit they cleared the area...I do not think lock downs are the answer. What is next? An armed officer in every church, temple, mosque...? Sorry I will stop now. I was just saying the Canadian point of view...
Had a terrific afternoon visiting with a group of friends to mark winter solstice. Good food and very good company. We shared and we laughed and my oh my we ate too!!! I hope it is not too icy underfoot the next few weeks so I could walk some of it off my haunches!!!that is where it seems to go..
Spoke too soon!!! A teen in Alberta was arressted for uttering an unspecified threat! Yes school lock down!!! and RCMP went to his home where they found .22 caliber gun and a high powered rifle. They arrested him!!! OK my stories were before 2003...maybe things have changed here too. take it all back I do not know what they do in Canadian schools from an inside point of view!!!
Well, I am not alone tonight...the Capt. has returned and we spent the evening at GG's, as usual, with 2/3 of our family members and one friend.
When we all got ready to leave, Jayden took GG's hand and headed down the hallway to her bedroom, saying, "cmon GG, go nity nite". He knows that is her routine and he loves to climb up in bed with her, making sure she is tucked in, then he tells her nity nite and closes her door. Then, he goes out to the car, gives all the guys a High Five and kisses to the ladies and then, tells me "Bye Bye Darlin'"...3 times tonight because he knows he gets a hardy laugh from all of us:) I love him so much, but I really missed having Brantley to hold tonight~
Gene has a doctor's appointment the first week in January to find out if his biopsy showed anything. He is to take it easy for 5 days and not lift anything over 10lbs...after that, he's good to go:)
GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS...sleep well, sending my love and prayers♥
Good chilly Saturday morning my eagle friends!! 38 degrees this morning - no snow in our forecast.
What great news that the still cam is up! MT nest right now but it still looks great!!
Thelma, how is your brother-in-law doing? Did the surgery go well?
Lori, how are you this morning? I know exactly how you're feeling about getting bad news about your dad. Know that we're here for you!
Margy, a gal that I teach with - in her early 40s - had one arm operated on for carpal tunnel and then the other about 6 weeks later. She is so glad she had the surgery! Please don't wait forever to get that taken care of!
Busy day here - still lots to do!
Prayers for all of the needs on our blog. Make it a great day!
checkaing the Post Office Schedules, looks like there might be some semblance of service Monday, though it may vary from one locale to the other. Still time to sneak a few things through, perhaps... ☺
Judy, I agree - nice start to the day. OK, rehearse this:
"Good morning Mr. _____ (fill in name of store manager). I realize that it's the weekend before Christmas, but I have come down with a severe case of eaglitis and must take the day off!"
The down side to being able to see our eagles is it will be harder for me to be productive today! Just want to sit here and watch them since it's been so long!
COOL! Glad ya'll saw them! I wouldn't have seen the nest last night, forgot I still had it up on the computer...was closing out other screens...it was behind my other screens.
Good morning everyone. So snowed in. I am going to go shovel a little at a time. I need out of here. I think there are eagles IF I can get there. Prayers for all. Glad the cam is up. Atleast I guess it is. I will go there now. Wanted to say Good morning first. HAGD
good morning everyone. i slept in! it is 25 degrees here in nashvegas!
we had a lovely, quiet Yule at home, with dinner by Yule log candle light...(pix on facebook). Then we watched some home movies. One of the things that makes my heart sad is Olivia will never know my parents nor his, so the best that we can do is tell stories and watch home movies....
well, heading to kentucky in a bit to check on the house. judy and i have been dealing with this for a year....making sure all is secure before contacting the attorney again. i think its (long past) time to auction it.
and baking this weekend.
so i will check in later. good to see everyone starting to chatter again, as we move towards 400 comments in this blog!
am sending thoughts of healing, light, love and comfort to all....be safe adn well today my friends. (Hugs and smiles)
oh Janet, that IS sad that Liv won't ever know her grandparents. BUt the home movies and stories are certainly excellent ways to deal with that! Safe travels today!
Oh my, Hoda. I would have a problem with the parents marching into the classroom whenever. Not saying it did not happen in the schools I worked in. I had one who came knocking on my door while I was teaching wanting to demand to know right there and then why I had to report her daughter for using profanity.
She shouted her own profanities when they sent her out of the building.
Funny that my students somehow did not even realize what was going on. Not sure how that happened.
Good morning - I love it that most of you earlier this morning saw Shep - I don't know if you also saw Belle.. Do you think that Shep's dark spot on his head is fading out?
Everyone is getting ready for Christmas Getting a ham today but on Christmas Eve the family all gathers for Dinner at a restaurant in Middletown after we attend Mass.
I just spoke with my grandson at his mother's home - SSgt Ryan I'm sure you remember him. Out of the Army now and is involved with Sharpshooter Competition in many different states.
Back from running errands - last minute gifts and stuff for baking have been bought. Could not find anyone in the baking supplies aisle who was willing to come home with me and bake my cookies, so I guess I'll have to bake them myself!
Jo, Shep's spot looked the same to me. I saw both in the nest this morning for about 20 minutes.
VERY windy here today and cold, but sunny. Sure feels like winter!! But hey, our daylight hours start increasing as of today!!
Thank you for the reports of the visit to the nest.
Sorry the camera is down.
It seems some of your wind is making its way here!!! Not so bad though...still manageable. It might dry up some of the moisture on the ground so the roads would not be so icy.
Needing to start reading Paolo Coehlo's book Aleph.
I know SHIRLEY I did not like it either and used to excuse myself and buzz the office for a wayward parent.I let them have their kid, never stood in theri way for that.Wants the kid to pick up toilet paper after school all power to them not my concern!!!LOL Teaching is stressful.Often teachers are not given their dues...
KAY so sorry I could not open your video on Momster email. Sometimes things do not open in Canada. SHAR put it on FB and I could not open it there either :( !!!
It just went off and I refreshed and it came back on...could this be something we need to do whenever it shows as off? Worth a try...it worked this time.
MARGY I honestly do not think someone is working at it...I think the feed is affected by the strong winds and refreshing it when it is off brings it back on...I will try it next time it goes off...they do not work on Sarurdays do they NCTC or the tree climbers?
The nest on our cam really looks good and ready for use. Steve said they were trying to connect to the internet Outdoor Channel and that may be the reason for our on's and off's. However when it does go 'black' it says
No connection to Video source So Hoda it just may be the wind.
Stay well JO and MARGY. Happy MASS JO. I enjoyed my Christmas Tree decoration today, but sat on an angle in case of another snow ball or water splash!!! LOL!!!
When the cam went out earlier, I kept the window open and have been refreshing the page off and on all afternoon whenever I would walk past the computer. That didn't work for me but, I just walked past on my way to the washer and saw that I have a picture! YAY!!! So now I'll sit here for a while and see if our eagles show up! Nest looks good - nice clear picture!
It is so nice to see them. I am enjoying them too for a bit bUT I have to go shovel a little bit more before dark so I can get out of here tomorrow. I hear eagles calling lOL

It is just me or is the still cam down? I've got a black screen.
Lori, I had a black screen when I checked the still cam from home this morning.
Thanks SANDI! Glad you have only a few kids today!
Prayers for Good Health for ALL on our list ☺ ♥
Have a good one!
Good morning everyone!!!

Good morning,
Pot Plant owl is busy raising her babes.
Wishing a good day for everyone.
Later!
Good morning my eagle peeps.
Good Morning eaglebudlets
I can't get the still cam its black Is everyone else also black or justme
Oh my goodness! Not $8,000 for the house washing. That is for the whole job. It was almost $9,000, but that is for the work the contractor did on the house--replacing the siding, painting, etc.
They are not planning to do the house washing. I will contact my neighbor the house washer for that. I hope he is still in business and working in the winter. I think he charged less than $200 before.
The contractor just came over and talked about it with me at the request of the insurance company.
Ok reading and see the cam is black for all I feel better now
Sent Hunter off to school this morning. I did see some others at the bus stop. He said last night that lots of his friends were not going. One boy said that his mother was worried about the end of the world coming today.
Hunter never questioned about whether or not he was supposed to go to school today.
Yuck. No cam this morning.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
I had to chuckle at the conversations about Shirley's house washing:) $8,000!!, Sandi then said, "you could wash the White House for that!"
You ALL are a HOOT...I LOVE US♥
We needed our house washed, due to so many birds and spiders white-washing it, plus, our deck is on the North side of the house and gets green algae, mold and mildew often.
Know you will be happy to have him home, Wanda.
I guess no cam means they are working on it. That is good, if that is what is happening! Let's think positive!!
Hi, Everyone,
I have REALLY been MIA for a while!
...but guess what--the entire Texas family unit showed up on our doorstep, singing Christmas carols, and SURPRISED US BIG-TIME!!
It's been pure insanity and glorious family time ever since!
(And Emma is so happy to have visitors, she's beside herself with pure joy!) They're here thru the 29th, and we're busier than busy, and so full of joy to see them, we're beside ourselves too!
Guest list: daughter Jen, SIL Marq,
granddaughter Courtney, great-granddaughter Sierra, granddaughter Jay, and Jay's fiancee, "Cierra with a 'C'"!

It surprised me too! Right in the face!
BBL today
Jo, my December list had Lynne's and Steve's anniversary on it - you didn't forget!
Paula, thanks for contacting Steve about the cam. Bad news that he is off today. I was really looking forward to checking in with Belle and Shep each day during my Christmas break!
Well, it's almost my Christmas break time! Cannot wait to get out of here and be "retired" for the next 11 days!! My principal announced that all schools in the district will be having buzzers installed so the entry doors can stay locked and all visitors will have to be buzzed in by someone in the main office. A step in the right direction!
Will check in later from home.
Sandi - if I didn't forget and yet I thought I forgot - I'm really losing it! lol
I have been watching a pair of Eastern Bluebirds at my feed on the deck. Earlier a most brilliant red Cardinal visited. (To my area that usually means snow)
Ha Ha Jo, have you seen the snow flurries. Mr Cardinal was right on time.
The flurries haven't arrived yet
I keep looking out & expect to see them
So shocked (I already shared this on Facebook).
I have seen a few here and there today Jo. Watch closely, they are few and far between.
HELLOOOO
Jordyn has elected to come home with me and watch Barbies The Christmas Story

Yeah !

Isaac
Dilation went AWESOME! Very little stricture at anastomoses and hernia still appears to be minimal. Isaac recovered quickly & was a busy boy until he finally fell asleep a little bit ago. His vocal chords were reported to function normally. There is some concern with the bronchial tubes & trachea but further investigation is needed to know exactly what's occurring. Keep the prayers coming...it's been a very blessed day overall. We are so releived the endoscopy & dilation went well.
That's a great update, Jo.
Thank You !
At James's Intermediate School last year, they had the locked door and buzzer system, works for Me! And then they had a hi-tech
photo camera for visitors, I had to do that when I would to for lunch.
And all that in West Virginia...
Sad to say, I have not been to his school this year, but I think the system is the same at the Middle School.

@ MARGY What Linda said. Good night everyone.
Good evening,
Kay, sorry that Seth's friend got into trouble.
I am just wondering if Steve has set the auto blog creator? Hope so but he may have internet connection where he will be.
Dana, sorry that your parents are having such a difficult time. Hope that all test results are delivered quickly and that the reports are good.
I am going to my pillows
Prayers for all those in need
I love us
Good Night ♥
Had such a great evening We decorated gingerbread men
and did a rice crispy treat house kit the 4 of us Jordyn played school teacher with us had me and Angie laughing so hard 58° out side now still not putting on the heat house is at 69 which is comfortable for me I got me electric bill $72 and that is amazing for me
On the housewashing deal: the insurance company will pay for that.
Had a very nice evening. Susan came down to celebrate my birthday. We did some shopping and went to Bonefish for dinner.
I am racking up on these nice dinners. Kathyn and Bill took me out last weekend.
Kathryn--I really can spell my daughter's name.
Not looking forward to the winds tomorrow.
We saw a few snowflakes today. Very few.
Saying goodnight to everyone. See you tomorrow. SED.
Evening, all.
Waiting for Michael and Laura to arrive. They are staying the weekend and leaving Christmas eve so they can spend time with her family...works for me!
We are going shopping tomorrow...their Christmas present is $$ towards a nice TV.
We are home. Had a great evening in Dallas. Zacharooski and I had a grand time. He is a hoot!
Tomorrow up early and heading to Denton.
Did see the great report on Isaac. Wahoooo!
Night all! SED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lori, how are you this morning? I know exactly how you're feeling about getting bad news about your dad. Know that we're here for you!
Margy, a gal that I teach with - in her early 40s - had one arm operated on for carpal tunnel and then the other about 6 weeks later. She is so glad she had the surgery! Please don't wait forever to get that taken care of!

THANKS FOR FIXING THE CAMERA THIS EARLY AM
AND HE IS BACK
Judy, I agree - nice start to the day. OK, rehearse this:
"Good morning Mr. _____ (fill in name of store manager). I realize that it's the weekend before Christmas, but I have come down with a severe case of eaglitis and must take the day off!"
Shep has returned!
SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN TO ME SANDI LOL
Tell him it's a rare disorder but VERY contagious!! =)
I PUT A FEW PIC IN ALBUM
AND ON FACEBOOK TOO
It didn't get as cold as they thought 51° here but 40° in Tampa over the bridge the water is keeping us warmer
OK gotta go make dough I WANNA STAY HOME LOL yes I was yelling it LOL Bye Belle Bye Shep see you at lunch from MC D's
The down side to being able to see our eagles is it will be harder for me to be productive today! Just want to sit here and watch them since it's been so long!
Boomerrang again I think
MT Nest as I am walking out the door POOF
I thought about trying to take
an EAGLE Day off, also, Sandi!
but here I am at the office,
won't get much done when Belle and/or Shep are in the nest,
so I'll make DOUGH until they
return....
Best Wishes for a Good Day,
Everyone...
thinking of All,
With Love....
Magpie xoxo
(Hugs and smiles)
aAAAARRRGGGGGGG IT'S GONE AGAIN!
Can't help but wonder if it's the wind.
GOod morning all!
oh Janet, that IS sad that Liv won't ever know her grandparents. BUt the home movies and stories are certainly excellent ways to deal with that! Safe travels today!
Cam pic black at the moment...
Everyone is getting ready for Christmas
Getting a ham today but on Christmas Eve the family all gathers for Dinner at a restaurant in Middletown after we attend Mass.
I just spoke with my grandson at his mother's home - SSgt Ryan I'm sure you remember him. Out of the Army now and is involved with Sharpshooter Competition in many different states.
Sure do remember Sgt. Ryan, Mema Jo
good to hear this report on him....
I saw the spot on Shep's head, can't really say it was fading...but I was also trying to get ready for work and couldn't
anaylze anything very much
Back from running errands - last minute gifts and stuff for baking have been bought.
Later!
on lunch and I can't get the cam up is iut down again black screen
i see the message across the screen like MARGIE saw the other day must be down was hoping to see the royal pair
I put a pic on facebook and the album you can see his spot fuzzy but still there
watching the fl eagle sit on his egg
Thank you for the pictures in the album JUDYE.
Thank you KAY I watched the slide show on FB where SHAR had linked it. Beautiful indeed, a very soothing experience. Thank you.
Still Cam is up!
It just went off and I refreshed and it came back on...could this be something we need to do whenever it shows as off? Worth a try...it worked this time.
oh my
the shadows on the nest
Thanks Again, whoever is getting this
cam to come back on !!
I really meant to say
the SUN that WAS on the nest
now a little clouded over
Hello More Eagle Pals...
have to check off the computer soon...
but I'll be watching for a little while
before then
MARGY I honestly do not think someone is working at it...I think the feed is affected by the strong winds and refreshing it when it is off brings it back on...I will try it next time it goes off...they do not work on Sarurdays do they NCTC or the tree climbers?
NO HOda not really but sometimes the technicians probably have to be there for other matters...
well, - let's see what happens !!
must go now..
" See You All Later "
xoxox
The nest on our cam really looks good and ready for use. Steve said they were trying to connect to the internet Outdoor Channel and that may be the reason for our on's and off's.
However when it does go 'black' it says
No connection to Video source So Hoda it just may be the wind.
I am headed for Mass
BBL
Stay well JO and MARGY. Happy MASS JO. I enjoyed my Christmas Tree decoration today, but sat on an angle in case of another snow ball or water splash!!! LOL!!!
Empty Nest.
Nest MT right now.
Both eagles in the nest when the cam refreshed!!
BOTH EAGLESIN THE NEST
THEY ARRIVED TOGETHER IT SEEMED LIKE
STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NEST AND LOOKING ABOUT
TAKING PICTURES I AM
ONE DIGGING AND THE OTHER JUST LOOKING AROUND
I THINK IT IS SHEP DIGGING. BELLE HAS HER BACK TO THE CAMERA
Both in the nest!
CAN NOT REALLY SEE SHEP'S SPOT
REFRESHED WHEN CAM WENT OUT AND IT CAME BACK
ONE LOOKS IT IS ABOUT READY TO TAKE OFF
NO BOTH STILL IN THE NEST DOING NESTORATIONS, DIGGING AND MOVING STICKS
LOOKING UP AT SOMETHING IN THE SKY
THEY SEEM TO HAVE THE SAME TIME LIKE LAST YEAR...
I can just barely see Shep's spot.
TEMPTED TO SAY BELLE HOPS TOWARDS SIX BRANCH.
BOTH STILL THERE, SHEP DIGGING
POOF SHEP!
SANDI YOU ARE DOING BETTER THAT I!!! I AM NOT SURE I CAN SEE IT

OH I SEE THE SPOT NOW AND SHEP IS WITH AN OPEN BEEK...SQUAKING?
SHEP'S SPOT IS CLEAR NOW.
SQUAKING Hoda???? =)
IT IS PAST FIVE PM EDT AND THEY ARE STILL IN THE NEST
I HAD A QUESTION MARK SANDI...IT LOOKED AS IF HE WAS SQUAKING WITH AN OPEN BEEK
Cam still goes black periodically but refreshing brings it back. Has happened to me twice. Great to see them twice in one day!
POOF SHEP!
HERE SHE IS THIS TIME WITH AN OPEN BEEK POOF SHEP
SHEP IS BACK. LOOKS LIKE SOME BEAKING GOING ON.
