DanaMo said...

You going to come to Hagerstown and make them with me??? ☺ Would ♥ to have you! It's really not hard, my button maker is awesome. I make them for the school and that's usually 500 or so, so this is a piece of cake!

DanaMo said...

...had to go back...now forward...

magpie said...

Well, keep going forward DanaMo...what time did Aric get home ☺

I know about those button makers...they are really neat, I have made bunches for work back in the day when we had Open Houses at 9-1-1, but we had the button maker on loan and it was returned...I am sorry I don't think I can get over to Hagerstown to help out...

time for me to get ready and on to work

Best Wishes for a Good Day, Every One

GOOD MORNING EAGE BUDS UP AND OUT THE DOOR I GO IT STORMED LAST NITE SO I KNOW THE PARKS WILL BE WET WET NEED TO TAKE EXTRA TOWELS TO DRY THE EQUIPMENT SYL HAGD

stronghunter said...

I have two squirrels out on the fence. One is eating the squirrel corn I put out and the other is into the suet. The one after the suet is the squirrel I call "White Ears" because his ears are unusually white.

So sorry about the panthers, Judie. It had to be a very difficult decision. And then to find out that the previous owner was not in compliance with the contract and to end up paying $200 for your kindness. One of my friends used to say, "No good deed goes unpunished." That seems to fit your situation.

stronghunter said...

Well White Ears is now eating the corn. I think he chased the other squirrel away.

Really looking forward to the nest visit weekend.

Lord, give me the patience to deal with this child on the cusp of adolescence. Oh, my goodness. I love him, but he is a trial.

stronghunter said...

He is off in the other room, now. He has told me that the pencils I bought for him are inferior and he cannot do his homework with them. The pencils are not the problem.

Lord, give me patience.

glo said...

Ok read the tan posts and then couldn't figure out how to get to the white page to say Good morning. Anyway obviously I made it. Hope everyone has a good day. Camera Club tonight but i woke up with a headache so laying low most of today so I can go tonight. I hear your excitement for upcoming weekend at the nest. Great times indeed.

stronghunter said...

I am thinking that he left the room because he is now doing the work and doesn't want me to see him doing it. I hope so. I am giving him space.

Good Thursday Morning
Shep in the nest feeding the two loveable little eaglets! I always need to check to make sure that no one fell out of the nest! I don't trust those two

I hope the sunshine stays around. My dandelions have gone wild but I don't want the lawn mowed until after the Egg Hunt.

Raffle items are coming in to the point that I don't know where we are going to place them all to be seen It's great!

Lolly said...

Thanks Margy!

LOL Jo! OIur neighbors are working hard mowing and trimming getting ready for an egg hunt Fri or Sat. We will have a front yard hunt Sunday. Do not want the kids in the mud in the back!

Buttons Buttons Buttons

Love the idea of a Family Pic with
2012 date

Bless This Nest appeals to me.

How many buttons are you making DNM I assume 50 to cover the weekend so that all attendees could wear them. I know that some of our Absent Bloggers would love one and I can help out with that.
I love sit down jobs anymore as I just wobble to much to move too fast!

Lolly said...

Oh, yes, absent Momsters want buttons, too. I was wishing I had an extra eagle necklace to give to Andy when I saw her.

But, we are family, and we overcome difficulties one way or another.

You know how they say "Out of the mouths of babes . . . Well, sometimes, out of the mouths of babes comes crap.

Okay, that was cute. One of the babies just crawled underneath the parent. Not sure which parent, though.

stronghunter said...

Know what you mean about checking the nest to see that no one has fallen out, Jo. I do the same thing.

Good Afternoon everyone! Didn't get a great nap so I hope I can go to sleep early tonight.

Lolly, loved your formal eagle family portraits! You did a great job.

How wonderful that Tori is headed home. What a beautiful end to a long and scary story.

Oh crap! That was for you, Shirley!
Lynn is right. You are a saint!

Red said...

Golly, I didn't know anyone was missing me. I've been watching and reading but not posting. Having problems with my other hip now and have scheduled appointment to see the ortho surgeon on the 16th. Hope to get a second replacement as soon as possible.

Hurray for Tori. Coming home today.

Sure wish I was coming to the nest visit and dinners. Looks like a large group this year. Have fun!!

Judie said...

Good afternoon everyone.

What amazing news about Tori. Cannot even begin to comprehend the excitement of being back home. Will continue to send happy thoughts for her and the family.

Hi Jo and Margy.

Ah, Saint Shirley. Has a nice ring to it. Hope Hunter got his homework done. Think I'll try that with my wannabe adults -- sorry, my mouth is inferior so I can't lecture today.

Lolly, glad you can get your new spectacles so soon. Enjoy. Just think of Lynn -- she's almost finished reading a book.

Speaking of Lynn, how ya feeling lady?

Too funny. Belle took two fish away from Shep. Just walked right over and snatched them away. lol

Bet Red hasn't been on the computer because he's plotzed out from biscuits and gravy.

Glo, sorry about the headache. Pain is always so miserable. Enjoy the camera club.

Okay, need to do a few things before I leave.

Bye

Mema Jo said...

Red - Hello! Wish you were coming to the nest too. They say 2 hips are better then 1. Surprised they will do the second one so soon but you surely must have done extremely well with the first one. You keep in touch with us because Yes, we do miss you. Shep is dong so very well - in fact he is overdoing with his fishing! Take care and have a Blessed Easter - Give Diane our best wishes and thanks for taking such good care of one of our favorite Dadsters!

Lolly said...

Loving my new glasses. Wahoo! We now have the trailer in the drive. Jack wants some time to work on it. A week from tomorrow we head out!

Right now we are heading out. Joseph is starting pitcher. Yea!

See ya much later this evening!

Mema Jo said...

I didn't nap today... :( I am going to make (with my hubby's interference) the pickled red beet eggs today so that they will be ready for Sunday. I have 3 proven recipes in front of me so I know I won't fail.......... Vinegar+sugar+red beet juice+Pickling Spice+dash of salt..+ Yummy Pickled Red Beet Eggs and beets......

Red said...

I love you too, Jo. ☺

I had faith in Shep all the time.

I'm not sure if they'll replace my other hip yet or not but I sure hope so. The one they replaced is like new though. No pain and works well.

JUDIE and DARTH In my heart I knew you would do the right thing and you did with the panthers. Too bad the others backed out on their word and it cost you money. I am not surprised that you paid it because it is clear to all of us here that you wanted the best for the panthers and that you gave it a very good effort...it touches my heart your connection to doing the right thing and to act with dignity and honour at all times...you did. HUGS♥

Hoda said...

Good morning/ good afternoon all.

Hoda said...

SHIRLEY!!! I almost fell off my chair!!! LOL!!! Then I remembered the no falling rule and yet I am laughing so very hard...I would like to hear stories when you were a youngster...Hunter must get it from somewhere and I am wondering GRANDMA perhaps???

Hoda said...

Good to see you RED and I am glad the first hip is doing so well that you are ready to have them look at the second hip...would they do them so close to one another or would you have to have a six month wait? I do not know.

Still not so good this morning. Chest congestion is loosening up but now I am feverish. I think I will take a tylenol and stay in today again...
I slep very well and I felt I had a deep and sound sleep so that is a good sign.

JudyEddy said...

poopshoot one more try

JudyEddy said...

well that one worked So sorry you are still not feeling well HODA

JudyEddy said...

HODA I was thinking a phrase a friend of mine would always say about your comment of Shirley and Hunter "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree"

Costume Lady said...

Hi RED...glad you have had such a good recovery. If your new hip feels like a new one, then, I would think that your doctor would be willing to do your other one.
I'd love to know what exercises your physical therapist had you doing and did they make you WALK BACKWARDS on a treadmill?

Costume Lady said...

Hoda, what is your secret to sleeping so well? I would imagine that your Yoga helps a lot~

Hoda said...

Greg Mortenson author of Three Cups of Tea has to pay a million dollars back to his charitable organization the Montana attorney General rules. It was sucha powerful book for me to read...I still thik he did more good than bad that guy!!!

Hoda said...

Oh I wished I knew WNADA...I still can not figure out why I wake up with cravings for tea!!! I think when I leave the computer early and do some prayers and meditation before I go to bed I am more likely to sleep well than not. In yoga we have some breathing exercises to relax the body but with this bronchitis now, lung enlargement thing that has been going on I am not breathing as well. By Tuesday I hope the bronchitis is gone and then when I go for my lung stress test I can find out what is really going on with my lungs...

Mema Jo said...

Hoda - Don't know what the Tylenol is dong for your condition. Can you get over the counter - Mucinex DM to break up the congestion in your lungs? It is what helps me. I am glad you will get your condition checked out!

Mema Jo said...

I reread and see that the Tylenol is for your fever..

Hoda said...

I will phone the pharmacy JO and ask them to send me some...I am taking something called Buckley's right now...they had sent it to me when I told them about my cough. It tastes awful but it is bringing up the stuff from my chest...The tylenol brings down my feverish experience with this thing JO...It is easier on my stomach but worry about taking too many of them as they are not good for the liver...
Thanks for your suggestion.

Hoda said...

I will go strip my bed and wash the sheets again so this infection would not be with me again overnight...I have the windows open for fresh air...it is sunny here today.

I couldn't walk on a treadmill backwards with normal hips. lol

Most of the exercises were just simple movements of the hip joint.
ie; leg lifts, sideways motions etc. With the new hip replacement procedure there is no precautions and the doc told me I could forget the exercises if I wanted. Would just take a little longer to recover. With the new procedure the recovery time is much quicker too. For instance, my brother had his replaced about 8 months ago and I've already recovered more than he has.
