BOSCOBEL - State wildlife biologists say they've counted nearly 200 bald eagles along the lower Wisconsin River.
Department of Natural Resources biologists say on Jan. 4 they observed 186 eagles along the river between Petenwell Lake and the Mississippi River in Crawford County. They saw 128 adults and 58 immature eagles. The greatest concentration was between Spring Green and Lone Rock, where biologists counted 30 eagles.
The DNR has conducted the survey annually since 1992. The agency noted a record low of 11 eagles in 1997 and a record high of 614 in 2004.

New store manager This has been a issue in the past when they took my job away Price coordinator I was slotted in to sales associate I told them that it didn't hurt my neck to do it and they needed to find something that wouldn't hurt my neck and been doing it since now with all new management he want to go by the book each job has a description and a weight limit and since I can't perform it and they can't judge me on the job I am not doing Well the only job that is with my restrictions is the People greeter he did offer me a tire and lube ticket maker but it has a 25 lbs limit but that is above my 20 and they want me to open the workman's comp claim up I don't think legally that can be done I will leave it up to them on that end I will call the rehab place that made up the paper work Don't know it anyone read my papers on the blog with my limitations but I will call them also and will call my x boss at the other store and if I can get transferred that will solve my issue but I will still get a lawyer and maybe ACLU IT IS there rules and policy not a law do they think I am stupid I will fight this but may have to take the other position while I fight it I have to tell them by MON my choice

Paula, the old bed is way to big to fit in this crate! It's deep and cushy but took up 4/5's of the pack'n'play bottom surface--probably 3'x3'!!!!! Crate is 24"x18"!!!

Oh, what a frustrating night. Went to work on my slides but the program was no longer there. Guess when I had computer problems and friend Mike worked on the laptop he lost the programs. Took several tries but finally got the program installed. Now it does not work. I scanned three slides and then it froze up. Rebooted, did three more slides and then it froze up again!!! Grrrrr! Jack is going to re-install again tomorrow. We are frustrated tonight. Please pass the sledge hammer!

Getting here REALLY late, so guess it's actually EARLY!
Have been working on requested revisions for the reports I do for the doctor. They sent me about 8 pages of changes in font size, and changes in how the report is to be set up on the page. Aargh!!
I think I've got it the way they want it now, but it looks kinda wonky with all different-sized fonts and all. Oh, well, I guess if they are happy with it....Hope they don't change their minds yet again!

It's gone, but seems to be lurking. One wrong move and it comes back.
I have to go to a meeting this morning. Not thrilled about going, rather be in the classroom. My assistant will take over. It's a meeting at one of the public schools about special ed services. Has something to do with the Disabilities Education Act. We review agreements that addresses services for children who attend private schools in Washington County. It will be interesting to see if representatives from other private schools attend.
OOOHHH!! Sounds so thrilling DMo. Agreed - I would rather be teaching than going to a meeting. But I'm impressed that now private schools provide services/accommodations for special ed. kids. We took our kids out of Catholic school when Brian was diagnosed LD b/c there were no services provided for him at the school. the teachers' method of allowing him extra time to complete work was to keep him in at recess every day!

Feeding tube finally in the right place, Dr. Herr did the procedure and even used the directions ;) now Tori can get the right amount of nutrients so she can be strong for her transplant and post transplant to give her the energy to PT. Tori's numbers are looking good tonight her dad mentioned, even her kidney's are healing from the heavy steroids and broad ranged antibiotics which were stopped Saturday and replaced for other meds that are less abrasive. The Doctor even cancelled the CT scan because her numbers were good.
Tori is feeling some pain and I am sure some frustration, but she looks good and the pain is being controlled.

I am finally settled for awhile. I decided to fix myself a good breakfast, but when I went to the kitchen, I realized that Hunter had not taken his medication.
Since he had just gotten on the bus, I was going to have to get dressed and take the medicine to the school for him. Oh Lordy, the car was covered with frost. Took awhile to defrost it.
Anyway, all is taken care of and I am home again, thank goodness.
Breakfast was so gooooooood. This place I go to had two biscuits and two sausage patties smothered in sausage gravy for $3.25. I go there 3 or 4 times a week. Been there so often I don't even have to order. I sit down and they bring me coffee and ask, "your regular"? Yup. Same stuff. lol
Wonderful news about Tori. Now if they can just find a transplant.

Oh, forgot, JANET...so sorry that you won't be able to raise your chickens:( Nothing quite like home 'grown' eggs. We occasionally get our eggs from a farmer, up the road from us and they are so very tasty and BIG...sometimes double yolks.
Last year, I sent away for catalogs about raisig chickens. I'd love to have a few for the fresh eggs, but we do have foxes and that would not be a good idea!

Shirley happy George is back inside where it is nice and warm. (: Give him a pet for me. I am allergic to cats but love them. When we had daughters Tabaitha I had to wear gloves and a mask to change the litter box. Would always use the handle of the fly swatter to rub her. She loved that so much. Ed could always pet her no allergy there. Was a great tiger stripped male cat. Stayed inside always!!

Gene and I play Scrabble and Yahtzee...love playing them both but I usually win the Scrabble game (Gene is not good at thinking up words) and Gene almost always wins Yahtzee. Yahtzee is my favorite of the two, don't have to do too much 'thinking':)

I have been thinking that I would like to start on my taxes, too, but it will be awhile before I have what I need. I really do not have a good fix on how I stand this year, since I retired.
Thank you Lynn for the update on Tori. I think at one time or another we all have said to ourselves. Come on let's get the transplant done. Well as we have ask the Lord in our prayers to be in control. That is exactly why the transplant hadn't happened yet. By the update: Tori's feeding tube must have not been correctly in the right place. Now it is so she is getting the nutrition to build her stronger. Then the change of the medications from the abrasive ones to ones that are not as abrasive. So GOD has still been answering our prayers. The LORD seen that these changes were needed in order to make Tori stronger for the transplant and the PT afterwards. GOD IS GOOD!!!! Thank you Father the GREAT HEALER for working with our prayers. Doing for Tori what YOU KNEW SHE NEEDED. PRAISES TO YOU HOLY NAME..Amen

I have been playing Words with Friends on my phone. Love it!
They hospitalized Nila last night, working to get her pain under control. She has ascites (fluid in her stomach) and not sure what they will do with that. They may drain it but more will be revealed. They are working on the pain control with morphine but not helping a lot yet. She also has lung issues so they have to be careful what they give her as it will affect her breathing. Thanks for the prayers!
