LORI...did you get my email from yesterday? IMPORTANT!
Wind is blowing very hard here...bringing the temps down quickly:(
No one to talk to, so I'm turning in. Good night to my dear friends and prayers for all with TORI on the top of my list, followed by MARGIE'S brother, etc.
DMo, yesterday, you commented about me doing state testing. In DE, kids take their state test on the computer and take it THREE times each year! Fall to get a baseline, winter to benchmark, and spring when it counts. It takes 6 weeks to get all 600 kids tested so gasically, as soon as we finish one round of tests, we start another. I HATE it!! All we do is teach to the test anymore and worry about the kids who haven't gotten to the correct proficiency level!
OMGosh 3 times a year. That really is teaching to the test. What has education come to, really? And so much rides on those tests and I personally have to wonder how accurate they are at measuring the students knowledge. That test that Annemarie just took for the scholarship/entrance to Goretti was put out by Scholastic. Apparently many of the other elementary schools do reviews and such to help them prepare for it to score higher. Not really fair, for sure!! But schools down in Ellicott City and Balt. are much more competitive and students have to score well to get into the school. I just wanted her to score high enough to be in the running for the scholarship! ☺ But seriously after I had to take the "religion" assessment for my class and saw a question that I got wrong, I thought wow, it is so easy to make a mistake on these bubble tests that I have to wonder...When I was taking the test I lost my place numerous times and caught myself. Those tests are awful and I don't think they take enough variables into account. I don't know, I certainly am not that knowledgeable about them, but I don't like them and don't think they are fair. MHO!
Can't stay and have fun, Jewels the girl not Jewel the Bear, is picking me up at the car mechanics AGAIN this morning, can't be late for that important date...
Judy - I retrieved my forgotton packet of photos...will still be sending you some ☺
Best Wishes for a Good Day, Precious Pals.....
HERE, EAGLE EAGLE EAGLE - your friends are waiting for you both !
Me thinks me should read all the blog before comments LOL I see where someone else explained it wasn't me LOL Wow the nest is swaying in the wind big time
Margy, good morning. Just looked at your pics from the Swinging Bridge - beautiful!! Thanks for sharing! Good morning Shirley and Judy! Looks like I didn't miss the eagles this AM - will be watching for a while as I get ready for the school day.
Morning Thelma and WVDana - sorry I missed you in my last post! No snow here in DE - actually, still pretty warm but temps are dropping throughout the day.
DO any of you all know a Cathy that I am assuming was on the OC at one point and is no longer on it because some on PD'd her off Well she is one of the peeps that has subscribed to my YouTube channel and funny thing she lives in Pasco co near me Small world huh I mmsg her on YT that we had HP again but no video and she emailed me back we are exchanging reg email addresses I got a long mssge from her last nite here it is DO YOU ALL KNOW HER AT ALL ??? sHE HAS A NICE YOUTUBE CHANNEL ALSO So pleased you wrote. Love your vids, comments in the background, granddaughter's (?) comments, and your great sense of humor.
Watched 2 nests last year; that's when I fell in love with eagles. Decorah and NBG/Virginia Wildlife Center. Met one of the videographers and he told me some things about last season at ST, and I was sick. Have heard that those things happen, but never saw it. This year I started following Shepardstown daily, joined the forum there, had a bad experience with someone who PM'd me, so I just stay signed out. To me, things look perfectly normal - everyday behavior - but just not quite right. Puzzled. Also keep asking myself about the ability/probability of a first year male to fertilize, and keep meaning to look it up. In fact, I have looked in a number of places, but they don't give me the specific answer about a 5 year old male.
Quit facebook ;ast year ago, 3 years after my 35-year-old daughter died. I just didn't want that to be who I was all the time, and my page was becoming a grieving ground.
And today (I've been in the hospital since Monday for tests, tests, tests) when I came home, I went to the link for Shepardstown that always worked before, but did not today. Too much pain to fool around with it. So, that was the only link I had to the live cam, and that is gone.
. Do you live in the Tampa Bay area? That would be a coincidence! I live in Pasco County; have been driving around a lot lately and have seen what I believe to be 2 or 3 juvie eagles, but never a chance to pull over to the side of the road and get a good look. Damn snowbirds.
So, yes, I used to watch the Shepardstown nest through Outdoor Channel.com - do you have another site you can watch the live cam? If so, would you email it to me? So many eagle cams this year, can't keep up!!
So glad you contacted me! Hope to hear from you soon, here or at home.

must be some rain also maybe to hear the tinkle on the cam Snow wouldn't make noise on the cam would it??? I love see in the big flakes go by the cam I cam just see snow covered eagle up there LOL
*HEDGIE: the only chicken preps that i had done was research. so i'm not out anything, per se. however, does not ease the sad feeling....but trying to see the positive, as i always do. the positive being that maybe those naysayers will see the light in 2 years....
feeling quite a bit better today, but a busy day ahead. still tired though. hate that feeling.
hope everyone has a great day. gonna read some more, then get my young 'en ready for school and me for the day. i'll touch base later. :)
Hey sis have you every tried Emergen-C It is great when you are feeling sluggish full of vit B and 1000mg C energy boost also good to keep around for ERs
I see that Jewel is sleeping and snoring and I get an error message for our nest. Not what I would prefer.
I think Lowreeda had a cute idea for the kitten - pumpkin but then I like marmalade, also. Pumpkin would be so appropriate.
DanaMo, sure wish that headache would disappear. Feel better. The Betty White birthday program did show the SNL skit.
An additional problem with the proficiency tests is that when we get college freshmen they bring with them the concept of "do-overs" and are shocked they can't keep taking a test until they get it right. First day I tell them exams are not the same as sex -- you can't keep practicing until you get it right!
I see there were some eagles in the nest. Will try again.
Off to get some coffee and begin to contemplate my tomorrow. Was discussing philosophical perspectives on human nature yesterday. May show a video of a young man who killed a 5 year old so students can ponder whether we are born bad, born good, born a blank slate, or have free will.
LOL, Red---we often think the same thing about the OC posters!!! I won't post my REAL impression!! Enjoy your breakfast! Sounds yummy.
Judie, thanks for clarifying the SNL part of the Betty WHite tribute. I know that even tho' you make it clear to your students about the testing thing, they STILL come at you later wanting to try to re-take, right??
I'm up early, and it's pretty d..n cold for my So Cal attire. It's hanging right around 41°, and I guess it could be worse since they were predicting it would be down in the 30's.
I see Shep still has the dark spot on his head ... in the wind at least ... and has given up waiting for Belle to join him in the nest.
Your de man Red --- it worked with Shep. I don't know if your head should be swollen as many times as Shep has had HP since your talk. Or if you should be red in the face lol
Go over to OC and tell them. Your a man did not work with us women. So your talk with Shep worked. Maybe if you have a man to man talk with them in OC they will stop calling Shep Ben.????
They boh where in the leftover area. Belle found some left over. It was cute how Shep turned his beak to her like "Mommie feed me". Belle flys out Shep still there I think found some leftovers.
SHEP STILL ON RAILING AND IT IS WINDY AT THE NEST. HE IS AT SIX POSITION AND SEEMS TO BE TUCKED IN WHEN HE BENDS DOWN TO PICK ON SOMETHING. THE BRANCH BLICKS VIEW OF HIS HEAD WHEN HE DOES SO
Jim---that is really COLD for y'all. So sorry.......put on some sweats!!!!! How did follow-up eye apptmt. go? Still on schedule for th eother eye nest week?
I see there has been a lot of action at the nest this morning. I dozed off for a bit, but eagles are still there. I was afraid I would wake up to an empty nest.
SHEP GOES BACK TO THE RAILING AT SIX AND BELLE IS SITTING SLIGHTLY ABOVE THE CUP AREA...HE IS LOOKING ABOUT AND ABOUT TO POOF I THINK? NO HE IS STILL HERE THE WIND PICKED HIM UP A BIT FROM THE REAR SIDE
Thanks for input HODA. With vison in only one eye, and that being impaired, I do not always see things correctly. Hope it is nothing more than wayward flugg.
SOMEONE IS UP THERE GIVING THEM CAUSE FOR CONCERN I THINK...THEY HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR A WHILE NOW THIS MORNING...PROTECTING THEIR TERRITORY DO YOU ALL THINK?
AN EAGLES LIFE IS NOT EASY THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO HAVE TO BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR SOMETHING OR OTHER IT SEEMS LIKE...BOTH STILL WATCHING AND EXCEPT FOR THE WIND BLOWING THEIR FEATHERS THEY ARE VERY STILL WITH NECKS PIVOTING
Watching the eagles from school. Hoda, they certainly could be protecting their territory. But when we went to Blackwater, I was surprised to see eagles perched in the same spot for all 3 hours that we were there, just sitting and looking around. I expected to see many more in flight but that wasn't the case. We would leave an area and then come back and they would still be sitting in the same place - hadn't budged, except to turn their head and look.
GOT THE PICTURES COVERED DANAWV...SANDI YOU COULD BE RIGHT THAT THEY ARE SIMPLY JUST SITTING THERE WATCHING AND NOTHING ELSE IS GOING ON...I HAVE HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE AS YOU IN REAL LIFE WATCHING EAGLES.
I make my cup of coffee, wash my cereal bowl, go to necessary room. Come back and they are still almost sitting same place just one I think Shep turned.
Oh I wanted to say earlier. I DO NOT think Shep brought that fish in. I believe Belle flew in with it herself. So I'm hoping he knows he is suppose to bring her fish/squirrel/food items when she lays eggs and when they hatch.
It is unusual though that they are doing their sitting in the nest now instead of in a tree. I'm hoping that means they're seeing the nest as the place they plan to spend a lot of time in the near future!
I wonder if they are sitting in the nest as its a bit more protective from the wind, and is the constant looking around to compensate for the wind covering up other sounds that they must be ever more vigilant. Also, are they more attached to the nest this morning because they realize the energy expelled to fly in the strong winds.
Yes, Hedgie, the follow-up last week went very well, and the schedule for the left eye's surgery is still on for the 25th.
For whatever reason ... eye healing, swelling reducing, brain making auto adjustments ... I can see, and read, much better than I could right after the first surgery. It's still not perfect, but at certain distances, it is nearly perfect.
They plan on prescribing glasses maybe 2-3 weeks after the second surgery.
Everything is going well, and I'm looking forward to the other surgery and beyond.
EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE THE VIGILENCE INCREASES AND IT HAPPENS WITH BOTH OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME...IT JUST DID RIGHT NOW FROM THE NECK MOVEMENTS AND THE SPEED WITH WHICH THEY TURN...
I think the pair are doing the requisite "show" in the nest to deal with any would-be intruders shortly before they get serious about the egg laying phase.
In other words, "here we are, and yes, we are planning to nest this year. You think you can take over, do it now."
Kind of ironic, since Shep struck much later in the process last year himself.
Jim so good to hear from you that the eye they did surgery on. Is doing so very well. Prayers for this next 2nd eye surgery. That it turn out just as well as the 1st eye did.

Good morning Lori, Hoda...anyone else here yet?
Oh just noticed no one has posted since the wee hours of the morning.
Good Morning. DanaMo. Sorry about that darned headache.
That probably will make it really NOT fun to work out this morning.
Morning Lori & DMo, windy and dark at the nest this AM! Windy here too ... and getting cold again!
Morning Sandi!
work out is not happening today Lori.
Good morning Sandi.
Meant to say basically, though I kinda like the word gasically - sounds very middle school, where gas is a big thing (and you know what kind I mean)!!
OK, off to get ready for the day; will check in from school! Have a good one!
MHO!
Good morning. Still very dark at the nest.
Weather guy is saying snow in nest area right now. Can't see it on the cam.
Good morning my eagle peeps.
Lots of time and energy expended on those state tests.
It's SNOWING here in Martinsburg....

There is evidence of some light snow flakes falling through the night here in Bluefield.
Can't stay and have fun, Jewels the girl not Jewel the Bear, is picking me up at the car mechanics AGAIN this morning, can't be late for that important date...

So pleased you wrote.

Did you tell her to just keep trying the cam??
LOL, Jo---forgot your question, too....yep, my Christmas bills are paid! But a new stack of regular bills now awaits just checkbook attnetion!
DanaMo, so sorry about your headache. No fun.
And how lucky JudyE is to hae never had a headache.
SHEP STANDING ON RAIL AT 9.
BELLE IS PICKING AT TWIGS IN THE NEST RAIL AT 5.
SHEP HAS NOW STEPPED DOWN INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE NEST.
WAIT! BELLE IS NOT PICKING AT TWIGS,
THERE'S FOOD AND SHE'S HOGGING IT!
2 eagles in nest my time had stopped Shep at 11 Belle at 5 eating something
SHEP STARTING NESTORATIONS WITH STICK AT 10.
I wonder if Belle brought it in or if Shep brought it in for her??? Darn wished we knew???
NO CLUE WHAT BELLE IS EATING, BUT IT'S SMALL AND BLOODY. YUM.
Can't get the cam...will keep trying. DARN!
Shep moves to egg cup and lays down. Belle continues to eat.
SHEP MOVING STICKS AT 2 - 3.
BELLE STILL CHOWING DOWN.
The wind is terrible up there. Shep was working on egg cup and Belle still eats
Wow, it's been a long time since I've seen Belle eating in the nest, she is certainly enjoying it.
oh got it. The kids want to know what they are eating, and the first grade teacher decided she is not turning it on! LOL
Sheps feeties must be getting cold standing only on one foot
All appears peaceful in Jewel's den.
Oh boy there's the red stuff
Shep is being so kind about letting Belle have it all to herself.....
guess he'll settle for leftovers
DanaMO, try going to outdoorchannel.com, then the conservation tab, then live cams and pick the eagle cam.
Oh-ho! Eagles in nest....with food!! GOod sign!
Ooey-gooey!
I think she has a fish, no fur flying or feathers flying...and yes fish can get bloody
Good morning all y'all. I see a couple of eagles in the nest. Yeaaaaaaaaaaa. Did Shep bring Belle a treat?
I think Shep is looking at Belle like are you going to leave some for me?
Belle stops eating but stays by the food. Shep keeps looking at her.
She appears full, for the moment
Belle back to eating
Belle starts eating againn
They look cold today with ruffled feathers blowing in the wind.
Just a guess I think she will fly out first and he will go over and look for leftovers
I'm getting hungry too. Going to get sausage biscuits and gravy soon. Just waiting on pharmacy to open so I can do both in one trip.
Belle is done, and Shep has moved in for the couple of pieces on the sticks
Good morning everyone.
I see that Jewel is sleeping and snoring and I get an error message for our nest. Not what I would prefer.

BBL
Belle Moved to the egg cup Shep moves to the leftovers
SNOW? Hey, y'all come on over to VA where we got sunshine and blue sky.
POOF Belle
Belle takes off 1st had the picture but couldn't bring it back up darn
Sorry DanaWV and Red, we had a fire alarm (broken water pipe) and had to vacate the building! It's cold out there!!!
Thanks DanaWV, Paula, Lynn, Red and all for the report!
I just noticed the bloggers on OC have named Shep Ben. Where do these people come from? lol
Shep off to the right.
And bye-bye, Shep. Not much in the way of nestovers!
Wow! What a treat for me this morning. First time seeing the two together in the nest. My lucky day.
Red, they come from under a very, very small rock -- so small they can all fit underneath at the same time.
Off to the criminals. Bye
LOL, Red---we often think the same thing about the OC posters!!! I won't post my REAL impression!!
Enjoy your breakfast! Sounds yummy.
Judie, thanks for clarifying the SNL part of the Betty WHite tribute.
I know that even tho' you make it clear to your students about the testing thing, they STILL come at you later wanting to try to re-take, right??
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
GOOD MORNING,
EVERYBODY.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I'm up early, and it's pretty d..n cold for my So Cal attire.
It's hanging right around 41°, and I guess it could be worse since they were predicting it would be down in the 30's.
I see Shep still has the dark spot on his head ... in the wind at least ... and has given up waiting for Belle to join him in the nest.
[:~D] Jim
Your de man Red --- it worked with Shep. I don't know if your head should be swollen as many times as Shep has had HP since your talk. Or if you should be red in the face lol
Go over to OC and tell them. Your a man did not work with us women. So your talk with Shep worked. Maybe if you have a man to man talk with them in OC they will stop calling Shep Ben.????
Jim, read back, you missed the show!
And another about to begin, Shep just flew in with a small stick
GOOD MORNING LADIES AND GENTS...
No snow here in NESTVILLE, but the wind is fierce! 35°...
JUDIE, I would love to sit in on some of your classes...you must be a fovorite of a lot of your students...A HOOT, YOU ARE;)
YES, some of the folks on the OC FORUM must live under a rock or in a dark cave...don't understand some of that thinking!
Dana, some of them know we named the eagle Shep.
Shep doing some stick rearranging
Shep keeps moving those big sticks. Now working egg cup. Red I sure hope you talked to him about bringing food in for Belle and the chicks.
Belle just arrived with some fluff! Dark fluff
Nest is a swayin' this morning.
He sure likes to beak at her.
Bickering and more bickering
I didn't want to overload Shep with all the responsibilities at once. We'll have more discussions along the way.
Belle lays in egg cup while Shep is at 5 o'clock
I see both have returned!
Yeah, Paula. I see they're both back on the nest now too.
Funny how close to the same size and coloring they look, don't you think.
[:~D] Jim
I am here and came in to see Belle and Shep in the nest and after a while Belle poofed...I have not caught up with the blog.
GOOD MORNING
WATCHING BELLE FLY ABOUT?
THE WIND IS MESSING ABOUT WITH HIS FEATHERS AND THE CAMERA RESOLUTION IS SHOWING THE DARK ON TOP OF HIS HEAD AND BETWEEN HIS WHITE HEAD FEATHERS.
Do I see something like fish line blowing around the eagles neck?
Oh, by the way, Morning all - came on in time to see our pair then got concerned about what looked like fish line blowing in the breeze.
LOOKING ABOUT ALL AROUND THE NEST, AMAZING NECK FLEXIBILTTY...WISHED WE WERE LIKE IT!!!LOL
HERE COMES MISS BELLE AND HE MOVES TO THE MIDDLE OF THE NEST AND WS THAT BEAKING?
SIDE BY SIDE AND THEY MOVE TWIGS AND HE DIGS IN THE CUP AREA.
SHE IS AT NOON LOOKING ABOUT AND HE IS BELOW THE CUP AREA AND NESSTLES IN FOR A SHORT BIT AND DIGS AGAIN
HOW LONG HAVE THEY BEEN HERE...COULD IT BE SINCE SEVEN IN THE MORNING YOUR TIME? nooooo THAT WOULD BE TOO LONG!!!
I see there has been a lot of action at the nest this morning. I dozed off for a bit, but eagles are still there. I was afraid I would wake up to an empty nest.
OH NO MY LIVE FEED IS FROZEN GIVING ME THE TWIRLY SIGN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN!!! ugh!!!
I REFRESHED AND IT IS BETTER BOTH HAVEMOVED BELWO THE CUP AREA, ACTUALLY SHE IS ON THE CUP AND HE IS BELOW
CAROLANNE I SAW THE LINE ON SHEP'S NECK FEATHERS BUT THOUGHT IT A PIECE OF GRASS NOT A FISH LINE
Got the twirly sign a couple of times, too, Hoda. I had to refresh a couple of times.
VERY WINDY AT THE NEST.
I'm off for breakfast now and other running around.
See ya later........
DEFINITLY MESSING UP THEIR FEATHERS I WOULD SAYI AM TAKING PICTURES FROM THE STILL CAM FOR THE PHOTO ALBUM
POOF one. Think Shep....
BELLE SITS AND WATCHES THE SKY BETWEEN ONE AND THREE...NOW ALL AROUND THE NEST
And he's back!
HERE COMES SHEP AGAIN OVER ELEVENAND LANDS RIGHT NEXT TO BELLE BACKS UP TO RAILING AT NOON
BELLE GETS UP IS WHAT I WAS TYPING WHEN IT POSTED. SHE DIGS IN THE CUP AND TURNS HER BACK TO THE CAM
Good morning
Great to be watching the royal couple in the nest..........
Just getting my coffee........
BEAKINGSHEP IS NOT BEING TOO FRIENDLY!!! AND HE BACKS UP A BIT MORE
AWESOME TO SEE THE FEATHERS MOVE INT HE WIND.BLACK UNDER WHITE AND WHITE UNDER BLACK AT TIMES TOO...
LOOKING TOWARDS SIX,NINE AND NOON
WHO IS FLYING UP THERE I WONDER?
BELLE WATCHES AND I THINK SHE IS GOING TO TAKE OFF, BUT NO SHE IS STILL HERE...
BELLE IS WATCHING ATTENTIVELY THE FLIGHT PATTERNS
IN CUPS SHEP WITH A STICK AND BELLE DID A SCREECHING BEFORE HE LANDED AT NOON
Sledding Crow
Just came across this on Yahoo.
Maybe you will have time to watch it today. Might be hard with all of the eagle action going on.
BELLE MOVES TO THE LOWER PART OF THE NEST AND BOTH ARE LOOKING AROUND
SOMEONE IS UP THERE GIVING THEM CAUSE FOR CONCERN I THINK...THEY HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR A WHILE NOW THIS MORNING...PROTECTING THEIR TERRITORY DO YOU ALL THINK?
BOTH LOOKING AT EITHER SIDE OF THE NEST COVERING ALL ANGLES AND SOMETIMES SHEP LOOKS UP THE TREE
Here are the new stamps coming out on the 20th!
Birds of PRey
BELLE BARELY MOVED TOWARDS FIVE NOW BUT STILL VERY MUCH WATCHING WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE SKY...
They have been crazy this morning. Flying in then flying out then blying back in. I think something like 3 times now or 4th?
Still no baby bear cub.
I had my cereal by the computer but with all this going on can't even get up to make a cup of 1st coffee. lol
SOMEONE TAKES PICTURES I AM MAKING A CUP OF COFFEE!!!!!
I SOMETIMES WISHED I COULD PICK UP THE PHONE ANDN PHONE STEVE OR SOMONE AT NCTC TO ASK THEM TO LOOK OUT THE WINDOW TO TELL ME WHAT THEY SEE.
LOL!!
SHEP TURNS FACING TWO AND BELLE IS ON THE LOWER SECTION OF THE NEST ALSO FACING THE SAME DIRECTION BUT LOOKING AROUND
What is this a "sit in"? lol
I make my cup of coffee, wash my cereal bowl, go to necessary room. Come back and they are still almost sitting same place just one I think Shep turned.
Properly enjoying that SUN that is hitting them/
BIG YAWN FORM SHEP AND THE WIND SEEMS CALMER NOW FOR A SECOND OR SO!!!
Oh I wanted to say earlier. I DO NOT think Shep brought that fish in. I believe Belle flew in with it herself. So I'm hoping he knows he is suppose to bring her fish/squirrel/food items when she lays eggs and when they hatch.
FROM THE WAY BELLE MOVES HER NECK I THINK SOMEONE IS OUT THERE!!!ALSO HER SCREECH WHEN SHEP LANDED
It is unusual though that they are doing their sitting in the nest now instead of in a tree. I'm hoping that means they're seeing the nest as the place they plan to spend a lot of time in the near future!
not a link Lynn I am unhappy with the stamps. Don't like they used a "golden eagle" and not the National Bird "Bald Eagle"!!!!and They are the United Stats Post Office lol dumb!!!!!
Like the other stamps though (:
Good morning everybody. See 2 beautiful eagles in our nest (well 1 beautiful and 1 in the process).
I wonder if they are sitting in the nest as its a bit more protective from the wind, and is the constant looking around to compensate for the wind covering up other sounds that they must be ever more vigilant. Also, are they more attached to the nest this morning because they realize the energy expelled to fly in the strong winds.
HOW EXCITING I JUST READ BACK AND BELLE WAS CHOING DOWN IN THE NEST EARLIER TODAY!!! VERY GOOD SIGN INDEED.
CHOWING NOT CHOING!!! LOL
[:~D] Jim
GOOD QUESTIONS CAROLANNE AND SANDI'S COMMENT MAKES SENSE TOO...
I THOUGHT SHEP WAS GOING TO POOF BUT NO HE IS STILL HERE
EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE THE VIGILENCE INCREASES AND IT HAPPENS WITH BOTH OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME...IT JUST DID RIGHT NOW FROM THE NECK MOVEMENTS AND THE SPEED WITH WHICH THEY TURN...
[:~D] Jim
Jim so good to hear from you that the eye they did surgery on. Is doing so very well. Prayers for this next 2nd eye surgery. That it turn out just as well as the 1st eye did.
Still no baby bear.
ONE OR THE OTHER OF THEM HAS BEEN IN THE NEST SINCE 8:15 am est IT IS NOW 10:55AMESTWOWLONG TIME
SHEP DID SOME GROOMING AND AGAIN BELLE'S STRANGE NECK MOVEMENTS TELLS ME SOEMTHING IS CONCERNING HER???
IT'S ALMOST LIKE SHE IS EXPECTING SOMEONE ELSE TO LAND???THEY COME TOO CLOSE AND HER NECK DOES THIS FUNNY MOTION DOWN IN AND THEN OUT!!!
Hoda, I have only heard crows in the area this morning. There are red tailed hawks on the grounds as well.
Thankfully do not see any large shadows crossing the nest.
THANKS PAULA AND LASO RED...THE LAST TIME SHEP CAME IN BELLE SCREECHED FOR SURE...
POOF SHEP
Off goes Shep to the right
WENT OVER THREE
Another split in a couple of posts
I do a lot of snailmailing, and I like the new stamps, cannot wait to get them.....
research will probbly show that Bald Eagles have beem featured on stamps in the past....
I have seen some on my older received mail envelopes..
thanks for the link, Lynn
Sounding very good, Jim!!!!
No bear cub yet.....Jewel is completely peaceful.
Nest is probably a safer haven in the wind than the branches and flying!!!
Jim
Things sound really really good for you.....
will be keeping you in my Wellness prayers
xoxo
Is it a new camera at BWE this year?? It seems to be less wide-angley and shows better detail than in earlier years.
[:~D] Jim
IS BELLE ABOUT TO POOF?
Have you seen how that tree is swaying -- not sure thats a safe haven either. lol
NO SHE IS STILL THERE...
Yes, Jim, BWE got a new cam this year.
