DanaWV, thanks for the "prayer chain" phone call. That was sweet and I know Robyn and Tori appreciate it.

All of us need to say a simple prayer

I'm back and caught up. No snafu today....except I had to do a ride-along to pick up someone else to take BACK to the center before they brought me home.

I can see Hoda now bursting out laughing in class. :)

DanaMo--I was quoting Robyn....I'm not heading to Hopkins! She was.

Keep those prayers going.....I am VERY worried about Tori........I wonder if maybe Bobbi and Ted are going to come up now?

DanaMo---the cost of getting the commuter into Hagerstwon from BWI is insane.....I told Judy she would be better off flying into Dulles and renting a car...which she will need anyway.

wvgal_dana said...

Lynn so glad transportation worked out better today.

I too am very worried about Tori.
Robyn has to be so worried too. ^j^♥♥

Heart pounding and mega prayers being said since reading LYNN's ROBYN message. Praying for safe travel for ROBYN and comfort for TORI. Thinking of her Nana BOBBIE, too. God Bless all !

WANDA, sorry to hear about the delay, but thankful the docs are being careful and thorough. I predict Jan. 25th will be a day of celebration for your successful surgery and the birthay LINDA and I share. A day of renewal and fresh starts !

Good afternoon;
First and foremost: Sending healing and comforting energies to all those who may be in need of such....

Greetings to all. Beautiful day here in Nashville aka Nashvegas. 61 degrees. Doesn't feel like January.....where did January go?

Its been a super day; I had a hot stone massage @ 9....did a little shopping and now am enjoying some quiet time. Have a few things to do, but its been such a nice day. :)

My book the Tao Of Pooh arrived! Love it when you get something good int he mail; even if you ordered it yourself!!!! :)

I was well pleased with Ashley, the therapist. She began the process of stretching the extremely tight muscles surrounding the right bursa sac--will be doing same exercises for the left so it, hopefully, never gets in that shape. She gave me exercises to do at home daily and sent me to Dick's for an exercise strap. I'll see her late afternoons Mondays and Fridays through the 3rd of Feb., at least. She says the fact that the cortisone shot has already worn off isn't uncommon. The hope is the exercises will make another shot unneccesary, but up to 3 per year can be given. I could barely walk when I left the clinic, but am more comfortable now. No pain, no gain, I guess. Thanks to youse guys for thinking of me today !

DanaMo said...

Oh Lynn, I thought that new airline was suppose to be reasonable from FL. Guess I was wrong. I didn't check the fares.
And sorry I misread that post. I must not have read all the way through and I even think I read it twice. Oh well.

DanaMo said...

The other thing with the Cape Air is that I thought it came directly from FL to Hagerstown and that is obviously wrong too. I thought that was how they were selling it when they first came to town. It's just as easy to drive from Dulles or BWI you are right.

hedgie said...

DanaMo...the Cape Air Myrtle Beach and FL route only lasted two months.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Allegiant Air is cheap too but don't know how close you can get to S-Town.

♫♪♫♪HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR LYNNE2♫♪♫♪ What a great friend she has been to us!
Really miss you LYNNE when you are not here, but we do understand. I have been having days like that, too♥

DanaMo said...

REALLY? wow, nothing has ever worked very good at this airport and that is after all the extensions of runways and all the remodeling. What a joke.

hedgie said...

Sharon, either DC or Baltimore....Hagerstown is the only commercial airport close by and it only does commuter flights to Baltimore....at a VERY expensive rate.

hedgie said...

Right you are, Dana....it's a shame, isn't it? It's a nice airport, too.

So sorry to hear of Tori's set back. Prayers going up.

and Wanda, sorry for the delay in your knee surgery.

stronghunter said...

I just got a phone call from my friend Roseanna. She and I talked and cried together. I had not talked to her since she retired from teaching, but we were very close when we worked together.

Thank goodness for Facebook. I did not have her phone number, so I messaged her with my number and waited for her to call, thinking that it might be better anyway because she could call at her own convenience.

Her husband's death was a complete shock. He went to the hospital for an endoscopy, and his heart stopped during the procedure. She drove home from the hospital alone and in shock.

She said that the doctors just do not know what happened.

I told her that I would be there tonight for the visitation. I have already asked Kathryn to go with me there because I prefer not to drive there alone at night and then try to find the funeral home.

I am very glad that she called. It was not an easy conversation, but I know she needs me. His family lives in other parts of the world, and will not be here.

stronghunter said...

Lynne, I don't think I have sent you birthday greetings yet, and I do want to wish you a happy birthday.

And that avatar looks ridiculous, Lynne. You will never look that old.

Lori O. said...

Oh, Shirley, how heartbreaking. I'm so sorry.

stronghunter said...

I will need to get dressed in a bit, but since I will be wearing black pants, I cannot put them on in this house full of fur critters just yet.

I live in a house full of shedding fur critters, and I have noticed another problem: I think the dirty dishes are reproducing. In fact, I am sure of it. I should not have to do so many loads of dishes each day.

wvgal_dana said...

Lynne2 please tell me the reason of your avatar?

stronghunter said...

Thank you, Lori. I will have to spend some time with Roseanna. She is a fine friend, and I have missed her.

stronghunter said...

I will have to tell Roseanna that she has had people she does not even know praying for her.

wvgal_dana said...

Shirley I am so sorry for you as you hurt for your friend Rosenna. Oh my such a "shocker" for her. God Bless her and may HE be with her during her time of loss.

I see Shep!

Lolly said...

paula eagleholic said...

Looks like MS Belle

Lolly said...

Lynne, no wonder you have been dreading 50. According to your portrait, you have NOT aged well. LOL

Lolly said...

Whoops, I was wrong, Paula.

Sandi said...

Happy Friday afternoon all! Nice to see an eagle in the nest while the sun is still shining on it!

Lolly said...

She continues to look "roughed up".

paula eagleholic said...

Kay, glad to hear the exercises have helped!

paula eagleholic said...

♫♫ Isn't she lovely...isn't she wonderful ♫♫

paula eagleholic said...

The wind is messing up her do, Lolly!

wvgal_dana said...

Shep looks like he is growing a beard lol

NCSuzan said...

Shirley, how touching that your friend contacted you in her time of need. Speaks so much about the type of person you are. That not even time forgot those feelings that you both enjoyed. I am so sorry that she has suffered this tragedy.

Wanda, it is unfortunate that your surgery has been delayed but thank goodness they care about your overall health. Bet it is all just cautionary. The time will go by quickly for you I hope.

Kay, sounds like therapy is going to work for you. that is great. know it is only your first day but there is nothing like thinking positively!

The cam is offline today at the NC eagle. hope it is fixed before those bobbleheads show up.

Belle is definitely enjoying her time alone, isn't she? LOL

wvgal_dana said...

Where did this eagle get the long hair in front?

wvgal_dana said...

Belle does not have a crocked talon see on its right foot???

paula eagleholic said...

DanaWV, it's the new messed up look. And yes, that's Belle, she has the dirty back neck feathers

paula eagleholic said...

Dana, you can't see all of her talons, the fluff is covering them.

paula eagleholic said...

Clunking up above and Belle looks up

Sandi said...

I hear # 2 eagle and Belle obviously sees him.

Lori O. said...

Must be Shep up there.

Sandi said...

Ta da!!

Lolly said...

Two!

paula eagleholic said...

Shhot she's gonna poof

paula eagleholic said...

Maybe not

Sandi said...

Yay, she decided to stay a little longer!

Lolly said...

Wish we could see some more "action".

paula eagleholic said...

She's in the middle playing in the fluff and he's at the top of the nest.

Lolly said...

Something was really bothering Belle. She shook it off!

paula eagleholic said...

No beaking...as long as he stays out of her way ☺

Lolly said...

He looks likje he is ignoring her.

paula eagleholic said...

Call for Action from Shep!

She ignores him

paula eagleholic said...

They can't make up if they don't beaker!!

Lolly said...

Oh, Shep is NOT being nice!

Lori O. said...

lol, Paula

wvgal_dana said...

She sure gave him a chance for HP and he did not take the hint

Sandi said...

Dear Shep, Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!

wvgal_dana said...

Your right Paula - she sure is having a terible hair day

paula eagleholic said...

Hate to leave, but I want to get home so I can go to the beach!!

Will check in later!

wvgal_dana said...

Don't they look like they are in love lol One on one side of the nest and the other on the other side of the nest.

wvgal_dana said...

Safe travels to Paradise and the other place at the beach Paula.

Sandi said...

Dana, that works for my husband and me on many occasions, and we've been together almost 39 years! =)

Lolly said...

I think they can not stand each other. LOL Either that or they had a BIG spat!

Sandi said...

Having never watched an eagle pair at this point in the season, I have nothing to compare to. How were Belle and Lib together when they were getting the nest ready in the fall/early winter?

Lolly said...

We saw a lot of HP with Belle and Lib. And, they had their spats but not like this.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Gang,
Getting here late today, but want you to know that I'm praying for Tori too. Sure hoping she'll get some lungs PRONTO, and be strong enough for surgery!

Have to run to Walmart to grossery shop. Will check in later tonight.

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LYNNE!!! Just remember that 50 is the new 30!! BBL...

Lolly said...

Belle and Lib would also argue over stick placement. We saw a lot of tug of wars.

Lolly said...

Be,le poofed. Think she was tired of waiting for action from Shep.

Sandi said...

POOF BELLE POOF SHEP

Lolly said...

Shep poofed! Now I can get back to dusting.

Sandi said...

Long but uneventful visit! Still enjoyable to watch - later!

wvgal_dana said...

Belle and Liberty would fuss at each other over the placement of the sticks. Belle usually moved them and got her way. Liberty would go to the spot always where you just seen Belle. That was Liberty's spot. There was more HP between Belle and Liberty.

Sandi said...

Young men are always "ready for action." Guess it's not the same with young male eagles!

wvgal_dana said...

He would lol stand in that spot and watch Belle work. That was funny now that I think about it. One time she almost knocked him out of the nest with a long branch he had brought in. She did not like where he put it. So she had it in her beak was turning and plowed the branch right into Liberty almost knocking him out of the nest.

PRAYERS FOR TORI. jo said it very well. Love you JO.

I did laugh when I was in Halasana today, plough pose...then I had to explain myself at the end of the class and everyone laughed.
Very good practice and how fortunate I feel.

On my way over there I saw kayakers and canoers on the lake today!!! It tells you how warm it is here right now!!!
The helicopters are still flying skiers to the back country though...

PAULA safe journey to Paradise. I hope you find all is well with your house.

I will go get a cup of tea...Yorkshire tea is the best!!!

I see we had a nice long visit with our eagles while Jordyn and I were at the park I got to see my eagle in the cell phone tower only one was there the other probably in the trees around I give up on taking pictures same results each time till I get a new camera

Hey guess what I found in Angies car while I was sitting in it I looked down and saw a book I thought it was the book that we just had gotten at Chickfala but it wasn't It was my instruction manual to my new camera I guess the day I bought it I was in Angies car and I had opened it in it to get it ready to use since I had charged batteries and a card with me and it must have fallen out of the box and I didn't notice it I thought I just didn't get a book but Yeah I found it now I can read to see if there are other function I didn't figure out on my own Like the old sayings say When all fails read the instructions LOL

Lori I can't see a close up of that picture. When I click on your name a different picture comes up!

hedgie said...

Had a nice nap even tho' I missed the visit.

No, Sissy, NOT related to Robyn and Tori! Except my kids, I'm not related to anybody around here!

Sandi----is your son and DIL still with you?

LOL, Lori---DanaMo's fav beer must be Amstel cause she mentions it freqently!

Shirley, so very glad that you had a chance to talk to Roseanna, and that you'll be with her this evening. Prayers for her and her family.

Lori O. said...

DMo, I've already changed it because that last one was so hard to see...

Lori O. said...

Lynn, you're up! YAY. Any word on Tori?

hedgie said...

Interesting article, Suzan......I can UNDERSTAND....but I can't grasp HOW they can guarantee "only" 3 takes. What? After finding 3 carcasses they will shut down the turbines until the next year?? HIGHLY unlikely....and what about balds? Are there not ANY there at all? Also unlikely. Wish somebody would throw these quesstions to an "expert" like Steve.

hedgie said...

No, Lori---no new posts....

Lori O. said...

Thanks Lynn. How is your nausea?

DanaMo said...

Yes, it's Amstel, and I'm OUT oh no...all that's in the frig. is Bud Light so that is what I am having tonight, but I wish I had my AMSTEL.

DanaMo said...

Dogs just came in from the yard chomping on something...oh geez...I can't see what they found out there to eat!

Hoda said...

Good questions LYNN...sometimes I wished STEVE would chime in with his thoughts...some of you are friends on FB. I do not know him except he is the kind man who sets up the blog for us, so I have not sent hima a friends request...he probably has no clue who I am and it woudl get to be confusing.I woulod however like to hear his thoughts about Suzan's article on the gold eagles and sometimes about what is going on in the NCTC nest too...

Lori O. said...

I think I've reached my limit today...no nap and I'm falling asleep...feeling a Wanda Special coming on (face plant). :)

Prayers for Tori, Lynn, Kay, Wanda and Jo, and all others with medical problems in need of God's attention. Also, Shirley and Roseanna. I love you all!!!

Happy, Happy Birthday, Lynne!

Sweet dreams and see you in the morning.

Good Evening.

WVDana - Thank you for the call about Tori. I have been following her news.

My heart is so heavy today for our dear Tori. So young and so much to deal with. Coming out of a lengthy stay with my Mom in the hospital with respiratory failure, I deeply feel Tori and Robyn's pain. I have been praying for the Lord's Will to shine through in Tori's life in a big way. Father, touch her body and please heal her once and for all. Please give her that chance to be a true reflection of your love and grace. I can just imagine what a testament her life could be for You. Carry them through this incredibly difficult time and allow them to see your peace in this storm. Let them feel our love, too.

Lynn, Glad today went smoothly with your transporation today. Brian and Lynnis left Wednesday - Brian had to get into work yesterday in northern VA and they wanted to go to P.I.G.S one more time today to visit their pig and their donkey before they leave to go back to Africa tomorrow.
Lori, have you decided on a name for the new kitty and has he met the rest of the family yet?
Paula, enjoy your time at the beach this weekend!!
Wanda, happy to hear that your doctor is seeing you sooner rather than later to follow-up on your test results.
I'm going to try to watch some TV but it;s going to be an early night for me - I'm beat! Goodnight all!

Feel better, JudyE.

Sure hope the surgery gives him relief with the first one.

Hi, Linda. Good to see you.

Sandi, sorry the kids are heading back so soon. When will they be back for good?

Lolly, I find that I am getting very irritated with and bored by PP.

Linda said...

Hi Lynn - Good to see you, too. Sorry you've had a week from hell, too! I sure wish things would go smoothly for you. You have enough to deal with without all these screw ups beyond your control!! Hang in there, gal! xoxo

I'm trying, Linda!!! Just finding myself short on tolerance and patience lately.....guess a side-effect of the treatment!

Linda said...

Will be praying for you, Lynn!

I wish we had a better link to what is going on with Tori tonight.

When I heard they had her on the bipap, my heart just sunk. That thing is just horrible. I can't get the image of that out of my head. Mom had one of those on her and she couldn't stand it. I am glad she was doing a little better, but it must be so hard on Robyn.

I am going to take my shower before BlueBloods.......

Back from my trip to the funeral home in Culpeper. Roseanna was doing okay. Her sister from Charlotte was there, and we had a nice visit. Some of the other teachers and some of her students came as well.

We promised one another that we will get together soon, and she said that she will call me on bad days when she needs someone.

Linda said...

Hi Shirley!

That was so kind for you to go see your friend Roseanna tonight to be with and support her.

It was good that she felt comfortable enough to call you. You're a good friend.

stronghunter said...

We were good friends at work, Linda. We'd shared many experiences over the years we taught together. I have missed her since we retired. I knew she was reaching out when she contacted me through Facebook.

I am sad that she was alone when all of this happened and had to drive herself home alone. I wonder if the hospital offered to contact someone or to provide someone to get her safely home, but perhaps she refused that help.

stronghunter said...

I am going to call it quits for today. My brain is getting all fuddled. I will see you tomorrow, though probably not early.

Take care, everyone.

Good Night, Shirley.

May you have restful and peaceful sleep. ♥

God bless you SHIRLEY. A good friend.

Linda said...

Good Evening to you, Hoda!

Hoda said...

Hello LINDA...you changed your avatar twice this evening...I could not tell what the dark blue picture was about... a winter village is what I thought. When I went to enlarge it I saw the eagle warrior...

Linda said...

The first avatar also said prayer warrior, too, but I was looking for one that you could see. Neither of them show "prayer warrior" too well.

I am deeply troubled by Tori's condition and am praying Robyn and Tori hear from God in a big way - very soon.

I just know God can use Tori's life for His Will in a way that would be truly inspiring. I pray that is the case.

Happy Birthday to Lynne2. May the next 50 be the happiest.

Shirley, so sorry for your friend Roseanne. There is no doubt she will be forever grateful for you friendship and support.

Margy, really hope your brother will heal quickly so the other knee can be taken care of sooner rather than later. Also, very sad about the young man and his son.

Well, LYNN, your Tom Sweetie was wonderful once again!! Great show!

I think we're going to turn in for the night.

Will be praying for so many healing prayers tonight.

WANDA - Praying your delay is nothing more than some extra caution.

Tonight I will go to sleep with young Tori on my mind, in my heart and in my prayers - that she gets that chance for a new lung very soon. Until then, I pray for strength, better breathing and peace.

Wishing you all a good night and hope to be back soon!

Lynn,
Brother Fred has arthritis and has put off for too long getting his knees treated....
that's part of the problem

Janet said...

THanks ya'll There was no way you could have know it was my b-day. I never told you. lol.

Magpie, thanks. I do intend to continue enjoying. Normally I just work right thru it, but today I took the day off and bascially did whatever the heck I felt like. It was nice .... not a treat I have often.

Hoda- I am attempting to drum. My husband bought me these dejembe several months ago. I want to use them for drum circles....I dont' practice as much as I could....I do play piano however and a couple other instruments. Again, I don't practice much. I do love the djembe....nice tone to them....thanks for noticing! And yes I started the Tao of Pooh today....was loving it. It is so brilliant in its simplicity! I am currently reading andother book and have a Deeprok Chopra book on the back burner to start when I finish one of these current books...As for the chickens, the next reading by city council is Jan 17. Noone really pinged on the avian flu....they are more worried about property values, noise and smell.....but considering there were at least 100 in favor of and only 5 opposing...unless they really come up with something BIG, i think that this will pass council the next time around....then it shall be the law.... :) let there be chickens!!!!

Mema Jo: thank you as well!

Judy, my dear sister, please feel better.

Thanks ya'll....have a great evening.

I see our JANET has a birthday today. If I had known, I'da baked a cake;)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU JANET...hope you have a fun birthday week-end!

Hooray for Paula...back to Paradise!

So troubling to think of young Tori being so sick and her Momma grieving at the fact that she cannot help her physically, but I know if Tori can see and hear her, it will help her tremendously!
She is on the top of my list for prayers, tonight and until she is well, again.

So many of us and our family and friends need prayer, tonight..forgive me Lord if I do a face-plant on my bed!

Thanks to all of you for your prayers, on my behalf. I am a bit disturbed about the heart abnormality. I would hate to half to have heart surgery, before I get my knee fixed!

Had a lovely dinner of Chinese food and crab legs with GG tonight. She was all dressed with a pretty pink sweater (Christmas present) and a little make-up and lipstick:). Fixed her a big take-out box of an assortment of foods from the buffet for her meals, tomorrow. She loves those boxes...plus a bowl of egg-drop soup (her favorite soup).

Sandman has come and gone and I'm going to bed before he comes back...Blessing to you all, sleep well♥

Happy Birthday to Janet! You should have let us know!

Jo, Robyn's message was so cryptic, I don't know what to think.........so worried and concerned.......

BB's was good....and then I dozed off for the news. Geesh! At least I can sleep as late as my body wants tomorrow and Sunday!

Paula, glad you are settled for the night. Enjoy--weather should be marvelous tomorrow.

Good night, my sweet friends. Prayers for all....but feeling consumed with Tori and Robyn for the time being.
Love you all.

Enjoyed watching TV tonight. Grey's was good! Know what you mean about PP, Lynn. I used to like House but it got too weird for me. PP may be heading that way.

Going to read now but will check back to see if Robyn posts anything more about Tori. It is certainly a scary situation.

Do not know if I will have time to get on in the morning. We have to pack and then head out. Going south to Austin for a 4:00 wedding. Will be home sometime Sunday.

Hoda said...

Travel safely LOLLY and JACK. See you Sunday.

yes saying she is numb is worrying me too about ROBYN and TORI. God Bless them both.

Yes PAULA I am sure we will keep you posted with the developments as we hear anything...

I too will head to bed and leave the computer for a while.I appreciated spending time with you all today as always. Much love and GRATITUDE for you all...

Prayers for all who are part of this blog and for those who lurk too, God Bless us all.

JUDIE set the night light and I hope ANDY sets the security systems when she comes through...if not I wqill set them for her...May we all be comforted with the GRACE OF GOD.

See you tomorrow God Willing.

WANDA God's Grace and Guidance to you for the heart abnormality and I hope nurse LYNN keeps us posted as to what it really means since you are not going to have general anesthetic...Let us hope no other surgeries before or after the knee operation on the 25th...Thinking of you. Your time with GG sounded great this evening and I am glad she was all dressed up for the occasion and that she has take out for her meals tomorrow...you are an awesome daughter...

Robyn's latest message 33 min. ago:

Robyn Ann Schonhans

Tori had to be intubated our main concern is kicking this infection out and getting her off the tube.

Lori O. said...

Forgot to say Robyn's message was on FaceBook.

Here's more Robyn FB posts from 2 hours ago with more details:

Robyn Ann Schonhans

Ok as it stands, the doctors wanted to intubate Tori since her co2's were very high, very. If she gets intubated they may not be able to exubate her (if I said/spelled that correctly). We are buying time here as it is all in Gods hands and her doctors. Tori has a partially collapsed lung which may be the cause of her co2 being so high if this works we can continue to allow the meds, bipap and chest PT to work. It is all in God's hands and he is shining on Tori currently. Let's hope this works...

Robyn Ann Schonhans

Last xray they took looks better then the previous one, even with a partially collapsed lung which they are dong their best to fix that problem. If they can and she can release the co2 and high PH then we are looking good... I hate jumping the gun but I feel this is happening for a reason cause she would have been intubated an hour ago...

Lynne, I hope you had a great 50th birthday! How did you celebrate? It's still your birthday week!!!

JANET, Happy belated Birthday!!! I wish JudyE had told us - or did she promise to keep it a secret? :)
I know, she's not feeling well. Can't pick on Judy, today. lol

HODA & Janet, you two have been talking about the Tao of Pooh book, what is it about?

Shirley, I feel your pain about black clothing in a house full of animals! LOL, though it's not funny when you're walking out the door and realize you've got a half pound of hair on your clothes. Yes, I vacuum...but it's never enough.

DanaMo said...

Prayers for Tori.,

I am up, but not for long. Fed the labs and put them out. I'm going to go back to bed and see if I sleep.

The hair problem is one that I endure as well, but I am the opposite. I wear as much black as possible!

DanaMo, I missed you.
I've been cruising around on FB - gosh, that can eat up time!
