Hoda, I had a Tastykake Tasty-Klair pie for dessert tonight - I buy one every Sunday as my reward for surviving the "ordeal" of grocery shopping. =) That little 4 oz pie has:
21 grams of fat,
25 grams of sugar,
48 grams of carbs,
75 mg of cholesterol, &
300 mg of sodium.
There is not one nutritious thing about a Tasty-Klair pie. But I buy one every Sunday and don't feel even an ounce of guilt about eating it! =D I say there's still time to get yourself to the health food store for a brownie!! And if I lived anywhere near TX, I would be in my car right now driving to Lolly's house for a piece of that cheesecake!!

My Dad was a big-time stamp collector. We sold his vast collection for a mere pittance back in the 70's. He had about 6 albums that were 5" thick each.
Foreign stamps were his favorites.

The recipe I was trying to scan was a chocolate star or wreath decorated w/candied fruit & nuts. Has a lovely picture, but STOOPID machine scanned black & white! I told it that I wanted color! I may take it's pic and try to stick that on there, too! (Another reason for no time for chores---'puter stuff plus I am NOT Dorothy Domestic!)

I think if LOLLY posts a picture of her family birthday event then we won't all have to go there and the boys can have more time celebrating their Grandmama...!!!

Hi Andy and someone else who asked - Hoda was it? ... but the lady can only take one kitty being as she lives in an apartment and has to pay an extra $35 a month for a pet! She recently lost her cat of 11 years and seeing LeRoy and how much he liked her has really perked her up since she has been grieving for her other cat. Sad. This will be an excellent home for LeRoy.

Lots of talk of food last night. Glad I was asleep. I went to bed to read, Monte was watching football and I was trying to stay away from the food in the kitchen. Andrea-thanks for asking. Boomer does seem to be okay. I guess I was wrong. I can usually read the signs. He did bring me a sock last night. Left it on my pillow. I yelled at him and he put his ears back and looked pitiful. He knows he has done wrong. Second time this weekend he did it. Hopefully, though it means he hasn't eaten any. I chewed Adam out for leaving the sock and reminded him that I could show him the picture of our friend's dog who had to have surgery to remove a sock. That surgery picture is getting me a lot of mileage.
Morning Lori, DMo and Hoda! Hoda, are you up early or have you never been to bed? Oh I know, you couldn't sleep b/c you were obsessed with thinking about those brownies you didn't buy! In Kindergarten in the USA do you teach in THEMES...??? This is how they do it here, so science and math and language all go from theme to theme to teach the principles on the curriculum...

Good morning Hoda, yes Boomer is pitiful. I do not teach in themes. I know some people do, but I have textbooks for all my subjects. I have tried to skip around in my books and line things up to make them more "theme" like but it just gets confusing. I have moved my science around from the way it is in the book, but for the most part my math and reading do not connect. There is some overlapping and definitely cross curricular, but not in themes.
Sandi-I wish Boomer would grow out of it. It does seems that he b rings them to me more than eating them these days, but we still have him throw up socks at times. He will be 3 in March, I wish he would grow out of it soon!
That is so weird...I checked the blog at 5:40 to see if anyone had checked in and there was nothing new!
