NBG says they have a big announcement coming at 4pm....wonder what it could be???

stronghunter said...

Time for a BLT. Hunter likes them without the B. I find that very strange.

stronghunter said...

Can't imagine what it might be, Lynn.

Mema Jo said...

On the Still cam I can see the entire nest!! Leaves are being blown in the
right direction!

Kay said...

I hope they have some pics of Norfolk Daddy with a new mate and visiting the garden frequently !

Jo and LYNN I feel so honoured...we will meet when it is time and God keep us all in HIS grace in the mean time.
Thank you.

Mema Jo said...

Shirley, most of the viewers of NBG eagles think that it will be that Dad
has found a new mate... one viewer said
"They were matched on eagleHarmony"

Mema Jo said...

That is so right, Hoda!

Margy - great for an entrance now of
B & T - The stage is set!

I need lunch - BBILW

This is the son of the former Premier of Newfoundland.
Don't Drink and Drive
I feel so sad for all involved.

hedgie said...

Nice coverage on the news of yesterday's eagle release. WooHoo---Ed Clark says between 800-900 nesting pairs in the Commonwealth!! Had been as few as 30 in 1970!

Kay said...

HODA, that is so sad and so often repeated everywhere. Which young man is son of the former Premier ? Does each province have a Premier and is the post comparable to our State Governors ?

Hoda said...

KAY Yes a Premier is the same as a US Governor. The young man in the picture, Jack Tobin, is the son Of the former Premier.

Good Afternoon Eagle Friends and Lurkers.

Jo what is the TinyURL?
Isn't that what we are doing?

Well as far as bird feeding. Some
of the seed that would stick in
the bottom before putting in new.
I would knock out on the ground.
Really miss my birds but skunks
have been coming around.

Judie you lucky gal "saw 5 juvie
eagles soaring overhead". Ohhhh

Yes Iris has a son that lives in
Georgia. They go visit there every year. Iris has talked about giving up the house in Florida for about 2 yrs. now. I guess the time has come.

Prayers for Robyn and Tori
heading to Colorado.

Lolly I am glad Jack is back
to being himself.

Paula you ankle and foot sounds
like it looks terrible. So glad
you are able to walk on it. Take
it easy gal.

Wanda your knee is still on my
prayer list.

Lori safe travels and have a FUN trip.

It was good to see Linda dropped in.Glad Lori was there and Lynne2 dropped in for Linda.
Prayers continue for Linda and her
family and Billy's wife. Prayers
that God will intervene in the
tiffs that are occuring.

Again thanks to the Momster who sent
the flowers to Linda. I too would like
to donate. You have my email address.

DanaMo Prayers for your friends
hearts that are aching. For the placing of the child with the grandmother and other siblings. Too bad they couldn't have adopted the child. God Bless them for taking this wee one in.

JudyESorry for Lisa's I think
you are saying Lisa's daughters grandfather passed yesterday. WHAT???? A woman missing named Angela. If I have it right they
found her car but not her???? Prayers
for you, other co-workers, her family
and friends. JUDYE how long has this lady been missing????????

DanaMo Prayers for your new
school year coming up.
THAT GOES FOR ALL WHO ARE TEACHING;
JUDIE, LAUREL, DANA AND ANYONE I MISSED.

Thelma I hope the game is exciting for
you. Since not only will TRAIN be there but you are excited to see a Major League Teams play. Thelma so glad God is answering those prayers for Beth. Ed liked the Pirates
but they have not until this year been doing very well. He would be HAPPY with how they are playing this year. ENJOY BOTH!!!

Oh Hedgie-Lynn I can believe it!!! When they let Mary O'Brien off like they did. I knew others would follow suit and not care for their horses. There is NO PUNISHMENT!!!
Hope you find your house this trip.

Hoping the news from NGB is that Dad
has himself another mate and using the
same nest.

Prayers for all those that need them-
which are many. Plus prayers for Gods
animals.

Janet/Nilla is really in my prayers and thoughts. Praying for her and her family. His wife and his friends. May God carry you through this Janet/Nilla in HIS LOVING ARMS.

Bob Q, your videos are lovely. So nice and clear. Many thanks for sharing.

Hi Jo.

Hi Dana.

T-Bird, no need to tell you to enjoy Train but will tell you to enjoy the game. Safe trip, please.

Wind really is blowing the leaves in the right way.

Haven't checked the NBG site for awhile. Sounds like very good news from there.

Mema Jo said...

Google Tinyurl to see what it is.
It just eliminates typing into our formula a long url address - it shortens it and you can copy/past it into our name of
link

REMEMBER that you do not need to do this and that you can just type in the
url address.

Mema Jo said...

My comment backfired on me
I typed our link formula and accidentally it made a link to no where
land.......

Lolly said...

I am in!! My head is covered with sweat. Cooling off now. There is so much that could be done outside. I just try to do a little at a time. Jack had an eye doctor appointment this morning so we did not mow. He got to the office and they were not expecting him. The have a new computer program and lost a lot of appointments. So, he goes later. Plan now to mow in the morning, but may get lost in the tall grass. LOL

my favorites.

I hope Lynn's home is being painted and
that Liesl is ok with that!

My NC bunch is scheduled to come into MD this upcoming Monday (Unless the Army changes its mind about Patrick's leave time) When they are here I get to go SCHOOL SHOPPING which includes
shoes and maybe first day outfits. My
gd says they will be in short or summer wear into October. Sammy is 10 and Izzy is 3. 3rd grade and preschool ages. I am very excited! Only other 2 scholars is a HG senior and a Jr. Both boys. One is a shirt/tie prep school and the other is
public school. Maybe I should consider getting them something special.....

Hoda said...

CONGRATULATIONAS LYNN>>>House is done and you stood your grounds...Proud of you. Next thing get ready for your trip. How did Liesl react to the vaccine?

hedgie said...

Hoda, sad story about the former PM's son's tragedy. Is there any kind of legal action pending against him?

I'm not so sure about the NBG announcement....they have already indicated that Papa has a new mate....and it's too early to know if they will use the same nest....

Costume Lady said...

Lynn, I thought that it was said that NBG daddy had found a mate. Hope they don't tell us that there is an egg!! I guess their bio clocks aren't set for that kind of activity yet???

Costume Lady said...

Lynn, I'm glad you have your house refreshing finished, but, I'm guessing you won't hire these same guys the next time...they were aggravating ME!:)
Wishing you much luck on house hunting and...a lovely trip.

hedgie said...

Time to head for the vet for Liesl's vaccine. BBL.

Costume Lady said...

I think I read that the CANACIAN drunk driving aristocrat's son is awaiting sentencing...hope Hoda lets us know what his sentence turns out to be...or, not to be, that is the question;)

Mema Jo said...

Be a good girl, Liesl! Make your momma
proud of you.
So happy the house is finished - I'm sure you have lots to do on inside walls
Glad you were supervising and got
exactly what you asked for with the
painting!

Wanda - your tub gardens are beautiful and such a good idea. I think my deck will be much prettier next year!

Judie said...

Such sad news, Hoda. We do tend to feel invincible when young. Sympathy for the families.

Lynne, terrific that the house is finished and completely finished. Give Liesl extra hugs for getting another vaccine.

I rather suspect we will be mostly not hearing from Jo next week. Well, that's okay. She's going to be having a "grand" time.

No need to be 'just saying' Paula cause I made it clear to use the url address is simple to do. I am spoiled by having
the TinyURL on my menu bar and it's just
easier for me to copy and past that due to habit - I'll blame it on "that's the way Jim taught me!" lol

Mema Jo said...

Paula it is on FB that everyone is
guessing about the 4:00 special announcement - 99% feel it will concern
"Daddy's got a new mate" We'll see

Where is everyone going to be watching for this announcement? On FB....
the cam has been shut down... ????????

Mema Jo said...

Judie you gave me a scare - not hearing
from me next week. My instant thought
was 'am I suppose to be going somewhere

THEN it sunk it! Yes indeedy I am going to be having a GRAND time. Thanks

LYNN and WANDA, Jack Tobin, the former Premier of Newfoundland's son, is going through the sentencing process right now...he already pleaded guilty and the prosecutor is asking for five years and no driving for ten years after that. The defence is asking for 18 months jail time and five years driver's license suspension.
They are not really aristocrats. His father's people are fishermen and the father worked hard to get to university and then he got elected when he entered politics.
I think the sentence will come in around the 31st of August and it will be somewhere in between what the prosecutor and the defence want...probably two years less a day, so he can stay in a provincial jail, they are better than the federal jails, and will have his license suspended for five years and will have to do around four to five hundred hours of Community Service. I think this is standard for such cases here.

magpie said...

Wish I could get a better and longer view of the smaller bird, Hoda...glad you saw it !
It might even be a mockingbird, looks mostly dark or black
but maybe a little white in the tail and at the top of the tail
"dorsal" ?

and the other bird sighting I am almost certain it was Eagle but it was FAST and QUICK and then GONE

Hi all! Flowers sent to Linda were beautiful, thanks to a very thoughtful and loving Momster.

Ran some errands this afternoon and I hated it. I am becoming a hermit!! Staying inside with the blinds closed you can sort of forget the heat.

I will not even discuss water bills with you. You would go into shock!!

hedgie said...

Whew---everything put back in place except for behind TV.....scrubbed the walls affected with little benefit: looks like what leaked in and ran contained the stripper and it stripped off the polyeurethane and maybe a little color. Will have to live with it cause there's no way I can do anything about it. Guess whoever ends up with the place will just have to completely redo the walls.

Mema Jo said...

I just viewed the floral basket that was sent to Linda and I am speechless.
It's beauty surpasses all that I could
imagine! Blessed are you among us!

I do still have to put the deck back in order....but the "pulp" that is edging the carpet needs to be vacuumed up...so guess I'll haul the wet/dry vac out there tomorrow and try to do that. Have some windows to clean, too---sure hope the "slops" that got on them comes off! I suspect that I may have some overspray on the truck, too. ARGH! They had me pull it out of garage when they painted it...don't remember if it was breezy or not...but Weds. when I had to run the wipers, they were dragging and smearing badly and I have felt sticky stuff....hoping it was just sap that got on it while it sat out....will go to carwash tomorrow and see how it comes out.
Hate to Bi--h, but....they took my picture-hanging hooks that my metal pine tree hangings hung on. And, of course, I don't have any more! Sure hope the Dollar Store has some. Don't have time to go to Lowe's, and no hardware stores on this end of town anymore.

JudyEddy said...

MARGY I love the heart shape leaf pretty cool and it is red Never have heard of it or seen it.

Talking about the nest being so dark I live in a area where it never gets dark unless we loose power street lights all over I know when I go to June and it is so dark at night in the mountains with no street light anywhere June and Terry have a security light installed which is really nice at night I guess it what you get use to huh!

Happy Birthday Crunch BOB!!!

Funny pup---she goes down the bottom two and she goes down the three on the front porch....but won't go down the long flight off the back deck, and has not made it down the basement steps completely yet.

Lynne2 said...

Hi everyone! I had my email up at work today and was trying to keep up with posts, but it just got so busy and I am now so far behind....

Well,my jaw is somewhat better today!

But the black cloud is still upon us....Steve was driving the "new" car home from all of 3 miles away where he's been working on a house with my former landlord, and the passenger front tire blew.

I honestly don't know why we are constantly being tested. It's really becoming too much. After buying the car which is STILL not fixed (have to take in on Monday) and the big chunk we spent on the Saturn, we now have to buy 2 new tires for the "new" car. UGH. I just don't know what we are doing wrong....

BTW Margy, we bought 3 little year old Redbud "sticks" 2 years ago. I put them in pots and didn't take into consideration that the dirt in the pots would freeze much faster than if they were in the ground, so we lost 2 of them. But one survived, and we planted it last spring. It's now a whopping just about 3 feet tall! The bigger one we bought at Home Depo we planted 3 falls ago, and it's now 6ft tall, but only had FOUR blooms this spring! But I am hopeful that it will bloom like crazy next year! And I agree, those ARE Redbuds in your picture....the new leaves on ours start out that same reddish color.

OMG! Does anyone remember the pigeon with the hurt wing that showed up here early in the year? The pale colored one with tan splotches....The wing was badly bruised so the wildlife rehabber said to keep it confined and let it rest for a week...we let it go one week later and he flew off very strong. Well, today, I was in the bathroom and saw a light colored pigeon flying around. We just don't get pigeons here...very unusual. It was alone. i went outside and got some pictures of him up on the roof. I swear it's the same dang bird!!!! He wasn't still here hanging around when I got home, though. But I put some extra "compost" on the ground before I left!

Flash visited the vet this afternoon. The test for lyme disease was negative. They are checking other possibilities, and we should know more by Monday.

stronghunter said...

Oh, Lynn, I can see you living full time at the beach. Sounds like a plan.

Lolly said...

Hoda...do you know what I would give to have it 86, heck, I would settle for 96. It got to 107 again today! Here it is close to 7:30 and 99.3. You open the door to go out and it is like opening an oven door.

Ok, Lynn, I understand that. I know we will not be able to keep up this place forever, but at least there are two of us. Can understand your situation completely.

We can mow easily, but the weed eating is hard on Jack.

Lynne, so glad your jaw is better. Hang in there!!! Know that we love you and really care. So very very sorry that you are having these challenges. And, please, never say "I hope it does not rain!!!" LOL

Lolly said...

LOL You put out all the "compost" you want, Lynne!

magpie said...

That pigeon is a sign Lynne !
It's a good sign, maybe an Angel in Disguise

Shirley, okay, good, no Lyme's Disease

Hoda,
I have a sister and brother-in-law who lived in Ann Arbor Michigan for a time, they enjoyed going to Toronto!

Hi Lolly! Thanks for the beautiful post cards...!!

Gad, I have a lot of pictures on this computer, kind of fun seeing a quick peek at them before off-loading them

Lolly said...

Margy, Margy, Margy!!! Love you! You are the sweetest thing ever! Jack received his card from you today. Thank you!

He is really doing great and goes to therapy Monday. He is thinking this started last Fall. He had 5 weeks in the trailer with a flat pillow. Ooops! I am thinking about getting to Bed Bath and Beyond and getting him a memory foam pillow. We will see if that helps!

magpie said...

Well if Hedgie moves to the Beach...
I think I would have serious Separation Anxiety, but would be happy for her

and I am having my last brew which has been in the refrigerator for weeks, Lolly
Shock Top

magpie said...

oh man, Lolly
I got two for one the other day, very nice pillow!!
But it would cost a fortune to send it to you! Sorry...it is dense and heavy
so I will just put on top of my head each night and get more memory

Jack is so very welcome !
You know how I am about snail mail !

magpie said...

However, Lolly, it would probably cost less to mail it than for you to buy one...
think about it !

Lolly said...

Had to google Shock Top. LOL Jack's favorite beer is a Belgium Beer. Michael got on line and found him some for his birthday. It is hard to find.

Don't have it anymore, it got all worn out when my Sister was ill several years ago

For a good cause, for sure

hedgie said...

Margy, we're leaving Sunday after church. So I guess noonish! I think their service is at 9:30.

Thanks, Hoda!!! Lighting is a cool touch! Certainly does enhance it!!

Lynne, that pigeon was stopping in to say HELLO and THANKS!!! Sweet!

Hoda said...

LOLLY believe yu me I know what you are saying about the heat...Yesterday I mentioned our temperatures to Batch in OKC and he cut me off right away telling me it is 107 degrees there and has been for at least two weeks, he had NO SYMPATHY for my weather!!! Lake Hefner, where he has his sail boat is dropping and he thinks these conditions will last till 2013, something connected to Al Ninio he said.I changed the subject. He noticed and laughed about it in an email today.

Lolly said...

Margy, thank you, but you just put that pillow on top of your head and soak up some memory. I will get out and get Jack one soon. Let me know what you think of your pillow. Do you really like it?

Lolly said...

Let me just say here, that I absolutely love sitting here chatting with Margy in WV and Hoda in 86 degree heaven. ☺

Lolly said...

Margy, Jack said to tell you that you would get along very well with Joey, who loves wheat ale.

Hoda said...

LOLLY I am sitting down, and I do not have anything to drink in my hand, and there is nothing to throw near by...all this to reassure you in terms of being shocked...but I am curious to know... is your water bill 300 dollars every two months? You said you were not going to mention it so we would not be shocked, but I am curious...do tell...

magpie said...

OH I am not a connoissseur, Lolly, just have one once in awhile
think I got this six-pack about two months ago

Yes I like the memory pillow, surely worth the extra cost
I have a down feather pillow also but am embarassed to talk about it, learning AFTER I got the pillow how those down feathers are acquired :(

Gotcha Lynn, on your schedule

Hoda, much hotter than you expected it would get, stay - 6 weeks ago, aye?

Hoda said...

LORI must be packing as she is going to Orlando tomorrow...

Where are you all seeing a picture of the Basket of Flowers sent by VERY GENEROUS ANONYMOUS MOMSTER? Is it on FB?

Hoda said...

That is for sure MARGY...much much hotter than I expected then. I remember wanting it to get warm and wanting to not wear jackets and socks...Well I am certainly not in need of them now...LOL

stronghunter said...

Linda posted a picture of the flowers on her blog, Hoda.

hedgie said...

Hoda, google El Nino and you will get the info that Batch was referring to. Tilde over the 2nd N but don't know how to do that on the keyboard!!

magpie said...

I'd be happy to wheat ale-it with Joey,Lolly
It think Hedgie told me about this one

$300 for a month. Really thrilled!!!

Hoda said...

Thanks Shirley. I tried to leave a message and it would not let me...asked me to log on and to verify my post I did so twice and it kept asking, so I moved on...

THANKS ANNONYMOUS MOMSTER.

Lolly said...

Hoda, you have to understand that I am a gardener. Gardening is my main interest and love. Also, we live on an acre and I have nurtured the whole acre. However, I have given up the front part just this summer. The lawn down there is dying. It makes me sick!!! Maybe I will adjust. We are watering about half an acre. I am trying to keep my flower gardens and landscaping alive.

NatureNut said...

Good Evening Everyone. Got home late, ate din din & was reading back just to top of this page.

I love those words "Field Trip"!
I wonder if there will be a memorial to Lady Norfolk?
I have another lost mate story. The lady I work with at Chelsea is from Albany, New York. She told about a bridge (there, I think) that had an osprey nest on top.The male was flying low over the bridge & one idiot swerved to hit the bird. He did and all the other motorists who saw that followed him, someone called 911, and they got him surrounded as police came. He was fined and locked up.
The rest of the story is that a young male osprey joined the family and even brought fish to the nest for the step-chicks! ☺

stronghunter said...

Hoda,

Take a look at Lolly's Hawkwood Gardens blog.

Lolly said...

Step chicks! Love it!!!

Hoda said...

LOLLY and JACK with such a bill I have more respect for your love and efforts for gardening and for making the planet a more beautiful place to live. You live what you value and the pictures I see of your garden tell me of your love of the land and of the determination you have to be its good guardians...as we say up north of 60, Good on you!!!

Lolly said...

Thank you, Hoda! It is my love. I know how precious water is and I respect and value it. My gardens are so important to me. It is just something in me...when I see a plant wilting and dying...I hurt. Is that crazy? We do not eat out much, we do not go to the movies...this is my hobby. If I have to let it go....shoot me! ☺

Hoda said...

WOW!!! Hawkwood Garden Blog...Thanks SHIRLEY for pointing me there and LOLLY and JACK it is AMAZING...you have created a beautiful environment...BRAVO.

Lolly said...

Our mistake was buying an acre. LOL But, we have been here 38 years this summer. Maybe we should have a small place with a little yard.

Lolly said...

Hoda...I have posted a lot of pictures there. Remember to click on older posts at the end.

Lynne2 said...

well folks, gotta hit the hat...4am comes early! I'll check back in when we get home.

Have a good weekend everyone, good night and prayers for all!

Hoda said...

You are livving every environmantalist dream in that you have your own acre and you are tending it with your live and yur labour. How you find time to look after the church too is incredible to me...I will look at the other pictures on your blog as a treat over time. I had seen pictures of the pond and part of your garden on FB and thought WOW...It is a good thing tht you are doing LOLLY and JACK.

Lolly said...

Nite, Lynne! Have a great weekend! Keep smiling, it is bound to get better! ((Hugs))

Lolly said...

Thank you, Hoda! (((Hugs)))

Think I am going to read for a while. Will be back later.

Oh, forgot to say. Jack did get up to armadillo hunt this morning around 6 AM. He saw the dude, but was not fast enough. It got away. They are fast!!

Bears in Kiddie Pool

Just for Fun

Hoda said...

"There but for the Grace of God go I"...
Shirley your link about the bears and the kiddie pool brought up a report on Somalia...I follow their story closely.

stronghunter said...

Did you get to see the bears, Hoda?

stronghunter said...

Did you get to see the bears, Hoda?

stronghunter said...

A report on Somalia is important, but I would not label it "just for fun."

hedgie said...

Margy, not me recommending that beverage! I never heard of it!

Hoda, uncheck the "stay signed in" box and then your comment will post!!! You MAY have to sign back in tomorrow to get on blog, tho'!

OMG, Lolly....MORE than $300/month????? Year-round or just in the summmer???? GULP! I think I would end up doing my yard in Arizona style!

Hoda said...

No Shirley I did not see the bears...I will go back and check what comes up...

hedgie said...

Oh, Lowreeda...a terrible story...with two good outcome. Locked up the jerk and the chicks got a new papa. :( and :)

Hoda said...

SHIRLEY I scrolled down on the list of clips and did not see anything about bears or kiddie pools...do you get anything about Somalia? Is my computer acting up???

LYNN thanks for telling me what I have to do to post a comment on a blog...

hedgie said...

Lolly, do they ever put y'all on watering restriction?

stronghunter said...

I see a commercial, a weatherman, and the bears in the kiddie pool. Odd.

Kay said...

LYNN, you're going to be worn out by the time you leave on Sunday. Some of that stuff could wait til' you return, ya know ?☺ When I read your comment about not being in that house 5 yrs. from now my immediate thought was, "she's going to make a permanent move to NC by then". After that I read on and saw friends who've known you a long time taking it a different way and anxiety began to build. Whew, I finally got to your post which ended with "who knows: maybe a full-time beach abode could be in the future!" Big sigh of relief and some satisfaction that I was right in my first impression !♥♥3

Kay said...

LINDA, thanks for showing us the beautiful basket of plants and flowers. LYNN is right, you can plant some of those outdoors or keep them as house plants for a long term reminder of your dear brother and of the Momsters/Dadsters who love you so much ! I loved seeing the photos of you and your brothers as children. As the only girl I'm betting you could tell us some great stories !

♥♥♥Thanks again to the loving Momster who is responsible for the memorial gift !♥♥♥

stronghunter said...

Nothing about Somalia, Hoda.

Kay said...

LORETTA, like everyone else I found the vehicular homicide of that NY osprey to be appalling. Glad the perp got what was coming to him and so sweet to hear about the young male who stepped in to help Mom with the chicks ! Nature never ceases to amaze.

stronghunter said...

Bears in Kiddie Pool

Now I have to keep trying.

stronghunter said...

It is good to know that there are enough concerned people that the guy who hit the osprey was reported and caught.

Kay said...

SHIRLEY, no lyme disease for Flash----great news ! Oh Dem Bears, what a cute video that was. Mom was no doubt watching to be sure none of those humans bothered her little swimmers !

LYNNE, praying the Good Lord will soon lift that little black cloud that is following each of you around these days ! Just can't believe how much bad luck you've had lately. Have a safe trip to the mil's and don't work too hard !

hedgie said...

Lynne, sleep tight and have a good trip. Hope you can relax some while working AND even have some fun!

Lori, imagine you are zonked by now. Hope you have a great trip, too. How long will you be in FL?

Cute bear video, Shirley!!!

Kay....it could go either way, kiddo!! Feel like I am on borrowed time, since I'm NOT supposed to be here now!!! It is what it is....and I sure don't dwell on it.

Kay said...

HODA, got a big charge out of your conversation with your American brother in OK ! I know where he was coming from ! Do they ever travel north to see you ? This would be a great time for them to escape the heat.

Mema Jo said...

Back again before the news starts
Would love to read back but eyes are too

God Bless and Peace be with all of you

Hugs to all ♥♥♥♥♥♥

Been watching some TV & eyeballs are closing, so time to call it a day.

Pleasant Feather Dreams and Prayers for Linda, 'Nilla & all those in need ;>)

stronghunter said...

Glad that you could see the bears, Kay.

Hmm, my wireless mouse seems to be beeping at me. I do not know why. Maybe the battery is low. It usually has a red light blinking then, though.

Kay said...

LYNNE, I know whatcha' mean. My kids get after me for making remarks and some plans that show I feel I'm living on borrowed time. I've outlived my parents, sister, and all but one grandparent by many years already. I have six cousins in OK and TX who, like me are living well beyond the family norm. We really can't believe it !

hedgie said...

More insanity:
Insulin on a plane---NOT!

hedgie said...

Shirley, glad that the Lyme's test was negative....wonder what else they are checking for?

Kay said...

MARGY, come back ! I'm worried about what's up with the bil. Hope everythings okay.♥♥♥

JO, thanks for relaying the NBG announcement to we non-FBer's. I checked and it's a 10 hour drive from here to Norfolk or a $250.00 plane ticket, +hotel and car rental, etc.. Can't swing it and still go to Our open house next Spring and I think that is far more important to me. I do hope some of you MD,WV,VA folks can represent us all there at the Garden, however.

stronghunter said...

Arthritis, I think, Lynn.

Something keeps beeping. I swear it is my mouse. It is unhappy about something.

hedgie said...

Kay, you are doing great!!! I come from lines of longevity....only my Dad has died young.

stronghunter said...

Okay, maybe it is the cordless phone. It says it wants to dine on electricity for seven hours. Geesh, there are so many electronic things around here.

stronghunter said...

Interesting story about the insulin on the plane.

I have to say I would hate to be in the position of those people at TSA.

stronghunter said...

Love our spotted dog pictures, Lynn. I was admiring Flash's spots on the inside of his mouth today.

Kay said...

Some of those TSA employees sure do get a case of power craziness ! She could get the syringes through, but not the insulin ??? On one of my early flights post 911 an agent dumped my tote out in search of the gun I was carrying. Seemed a bit chagrined when my gun turned out to be a very standard Proventil Rescue Inhaler ! I always put my meds/inhaler in my carry on, so if I need them in flight, or if my checked luggage is delayed, I have what I need to survive.

hedgie said...

Kay, I sure am tired! Still have the sunroom to vacuum, but it will have to wait til tomorrw. Dozed off on sofa a little while ago while cuddling with Liesl...she took a nap ,too---right before her bedtime!
I have a good bit to do yet, but know that I won't get it all accomplished before we leave....it will be waiting for me on return!!

stronghunter said...

I do hope they let you keep the inhaler, Kay.

When Rus was in elementary school--I think third grade--he took a very small plastic box filled with screws, springs, etc., to school. He told a little girl it was a bomb.

Her mother came to me concerned about what he had, and I explained what it was. It went no further. I hate to think what would happen now.

No, I had not encouraged him take it to school, and I do not remember how I even knew he had it. But he was just a little boy with an imagination.

hedgie said...

Tomorrow would have been Lucille Ball's 100th b-day. News clip showed the Vitameatavegimen shot! SO FUNNY....then and still!
They sure don't make good, clean comedy like they used to.

Heard that MDA and Jerry Lewis have parted ways---no reason given. Strange-----after all that he has accomplished for that cause.

stronghunter said...

Lynn, for goodness' sake, take it easy. You are going to be plumb tuckered out.

Hoda said...

Cute bear cubs in th epool SHIRLEY. I appreciated watching it. Thanks for trying again.

KAY we usually have some very good conversations my American Family and I.

hedgie said...

Shirley, I never ceaase to be amazed by Liesl's spot on her belly and even some showing on the pink skin under her white hairs!!! Have never had a doggy that looks like that before!!!
