I emailed Steve today about the nite lite and the sound....here's his response
Paula,
The infrared is only working at certain light levels. The new camera does not have the same illumination as the last one. This means that on brighter nights, we'll get a pretty good picture. On the darkest of nights, the picture will not be good. I checked it Thursday night about ten pm and it was working pretty good. Our original plan was to keep the other cam up and active, but that cam short circuited in those weeks before we went up to install the new cam. That would have given us the additional illumination. This is the unfortunate reality for this year as the only solution is to install additional illumination and we cannot do that until the summer.
Wonder if they would let Susan come home if she does have the Swine Flu? Hope that is not the case! Bless her heart, what a way for her trip to turn out:( She'll be so happy to see her Mommy!
Hope you can kick you cold fast Paula and thanks for the info from Steve. That explains why it got so dark when I was up in the wee wee hours the other night...the moon must have moved lower.
Shirley, I'll bet Susan can't wait to be home again! I'm so sorry that the trip turned out this way.
Wanda, does Gene have a stiff neck from watching the game? Personally, I'd try heat first.
LOL, Lynne, no, not from watching the game he has had it for about a week...nearly went away and cam back tody. I just read on internet that massager (gentle) and ice pack is best. I would have thought heat, but not in this case. Going to tend to poor baby now;)
I think clouds too Paula. What Steve says makes it all make sense now, what we've seen, I mean!
We had a nice visit with our friends Joan and Brian this afternoon. Joan has MS, and has been having a heck of a time with shingles for the past few months. (due to the steroids she takes for the MS). She is such a trooper. She rescues Rotties!
I don't think Susan will be able to come home Wednesday if they confirm that it is any kind of H1N1. They seem to think that it might be something else.
She certainly does not want to be the person who brings a new strain of H1N1 into this country.
About the ears. I think both ear drums are ruptured. In that case, she does not have to worry about pain. but she needs to see a doctor when she gets home.
regarding sound: it is intermittent for me, usually hear the clicking sound, BUT, when the eagles mated on the nest Thursday afternoon I heard some eagle chortling...☺
Lady Blackwater is awake, she checked the egg a few mins ago, but was not far enough off the egg cup...could only see the one, still, so far...the suspense, waiting on a second one
MARGY...I just go word from Karla that Jillian was awarded the honor of being ROOKIE OF THE YEAR...just as you predicted. Lord have mercy, I'm so proud. She really did work hard and long hours!
Photo of the award on my SMILES:):) Plasticis still on it so it doesn't show up well.
Lynne, I told Shirley earlier that flying with ruptured eardrums---which Suzi has---is okay and actually makes them feel better. However, if she is infectious with H1N1, she may not be allowed.
when the moon is bright you can see in the middle of the nest just about from 6 to 12 the shadow of a branch that I saw the other night. I will now cease to obsess over the light and go take my shower.
January 19 - Full Moon February 18 - Full Moon March 19 - Full Moon
nice thing is the Moon will give lots of brightness before and after those "Full" dates so we might luck out! Esp with hatching if it mirrors other years
Wanda, my PROFESSIONAL and personal experience is that ice makes muscle pain worse. It causes the muscle to contract more. HEAT relaxes it and eases the pain.
Shirley sorry to read of Susan's condition, but am happy to know you can stay in touch with her...sure she needs all the Mom Time you have been able to share ♥
OK, Lynn and Lynne...heat it is...Karla's phone call stopped me from putting an ice pack on the stiff neck. Hot coals from the fireplace wrapped in foil and a towel...here we come!
Susan could hear me on the telephone. I do not know exactly how it works. I would think that her hearing is not the best. But then I don't think she would be hearing very well with fluid in her ears, either.
The doctor told her that one of her ear drums was ruptured when she was at the hospital. She thinks she felt the other one rupture later on. The ear felt much better, but she was dizzy for awhile.
Quito is located at a very high altitude, which would have been putting pressure on her ears.
Going to head upstairs. Very tired, even though I napped today. George has to go back to the vet's on Monday to finish up his shots and get his bladder checked. They didn't have time to get the specimen today. They need to keep him for the day.
Wow I am late coming in here. My Mai scratch has disappeared, Lynn I m glad she is doing well at the training classes and now to get to know other doggies and how to behave.
Jillian should be so proud of herself. Awards from your own co-workers & peers mean the most!
Congrats to you Steelers! Very close game - Wish you well at the bowl.
Most of BWE eggs hatch in the afternoon So since tomorrow is a holiday and the last day of a long weekend... I'll bet the little one pops out of the egg. Lisa predicted before the end of the weekend
Margy, I was looking at cabinets and counter tops, and tubs and surrounds...the kitchen and bath ones need to be replaced...trying to decide if I want to go ahead and tackle that stuff right away or not...the kitchen cabinets were worse than I thought...so If I do those, should I do the floor first...and on and on!
Everything is good to go for settlement Thursday...will take pics and measurements when I do the walk thru.
Oh, and did I tell ya'll I bought his boat and motor? Just a small 12ft aluminum boat and 6HP outboard motor...just enough to get around in.
Guess I'll watch the Hagerstown MD TV news for the latest on the nightclub shooting.... then head out to see what happens tonight in our fair city/county
Best wishes for Sweet Sleep, everyone
Prayers for our many needs and Prayers of thanks for many gifts given everyday
LOL, Margy....they had pics in the paper early this week....they labeled one as a red robin. Sure looked like a CARDINAL to me!
Yes, Wanda, congrats to Jillian!!! And, please, no hot coals for a hot pack!!!! Wet a handtowel, roll it and heat in microwave. Place in folded towel and then wrap around Gene's neck.
OK, some warmth on Gene's neck after the massage, says it feels much better. He would rather have more massage than heat...sorry Buster, these hands are joining the rest of my body in bed:)
Well, I got lost playing computer games this evening.
If Susan should have to stay longer will the same apply to her teacher who was also sick? Glad to hear about the ears and that they would not hurt on the flight.
Congrats to your granddaughter, Wanda. Know you are very proud.
Church in the morning and then Dallas in the afternoon. Whole family is getting together to celebrate my birthday as well as Michael's . His birthday is Tuesday. My oldest baby will be 42. Wow! Michael is cooking, Jack has prepared "orders" and Laurel has made the dessert. My kind of family get together. Laurel has Monday off, so she is enjoying a 3 day weekend.
It's late at night, sorry I haven't been on today. For thoese who don't know, I've been playing around with my blog. I've never done one before, so am not quite sure if I'm doing it right. But I'm having fun putting pictures up. Since I got a new camera, my pictures turn out pretty nice. I'll put up famly pics soon. Off to bed. night!!
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... Don't know where our Love Birds are this morning. I looked in on the nest around 7am and Lib was sitting in the egg cup (don't know for how long), then he flew out. I waited about 30 min. for a return, but it was a no show. Keep watching, they will return mid morning. HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY♥
Don't see where anyone has said they seen the eagles at the nest this am yet.
WELL WHAT A WIN FOR THE STEELERS!!!! YEA STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wanda I was into watching the game. I had to talk some to the Ravens too let the Steelers get some points. lol
Shirley I have been sending up prayers for Suzan and her teacher. For you also cause I know this is putting a strain on you. ((((HUGS TO SHIRLEY)))))
Well I'll change back to my other avatar now.
Thanks Paula for the information Steve gave. We have what we have for this year. Sounds like they had a good plan for the light. Not NCTC's fault it went bad. Glad they didn't do anything to disturb the eagles.
We will just have to hope Belle lays in eggs and the hatches happen during daytime hours.
Lolly, yes, it is possible that Susan and the teacher will both have to stay longer. Someone at the school had suggested that since the teacher had not yet been quarantined, she should beat it out of there ASAP, but she said she would not leave Susan that way.
They seem to have become close. I think I have seen some of her posts on FB. If I am correct, she is from Fredericksburg. Originally, she is from Puerto Rico.
Susan is older than most of the other students, though I think there are some other older students along.
Susan has told me about some of the escapades of other students. One has been removed from the program because she refused to stay at the host family home and wanted to stay with her boyfriend who lives there.
It seems that she is threatening to sue because she is being denied the right to have a true experience by living in the ghetto rather than in a middle-class home. Of course, the ghetto is quite a bit more dangerous than the middle-class area of town.
Good Morning All! Song birds and squirrels are feasting out back. WOW! I looked at Diane's blog and she has beautiful pics of her back yard activity. And a good looking family to boot!
Good to see all of you here - sorry the couple is out for a while. So thankful there isn't any snow in our nest.
01/16/11: As of 9am on Sunday, we still have one egg. Since our couple is experienced, we would expect to see at least a two-egg clutch, so the 2nd should come sometime today.
Shirley, I pray your gal soon can get home and in good health to boot! Such a worry for a mother because it is so far away. We were all so happy that Susan got this trip, but now not so. Take care!
I am going out for a few hours... Keep your eyes on BWE... Need 1 more egg.
I am trying that V8 V-Fusion Light Cranberry Blackberry IT IS PRETTY GOOD! I tried some others they were terrible. I like this one...can get some veggies this way. ( :
Need to get ready for church but wanted to peek in and say good morning. Dreary day here. Rained all day yesterday and the same today. 47 presently and not going to rise...just cold and rainy. Thankful it is not colder and icy.
Paula, have no idea what Michael is vooking, but a good guess will be steaks.
They are getting drapes in their home this next week. Will have to get back soon to see that. Will make a vast difference. They are getting that gorgeous home decorated little by little. Or, the decorator is, I should say!
All is quiet on the cam front! When I went to bed last night, Lily was awake and scraping more bedding into the den. Hated to turn her off. You could see Hope's eyes glowing in the depths of the den. :) No sign of a second egg yet at BW. Had that cam up while reading the paper.
Gotta go now. Have a great Sunday. Sure need my coat this morning. Sigh.............
He licked it clean but I'll still wash it lol and he is looking at me like "Mom where is more". Nope if your not eating regular food like usual. We are taking this slow boy.
And Happy B'day celebration to Lolly & son! Good Morning Eagleland. Haven't checked cams yet~~been out with peanuts for Shorty. He must have been really hungry--almost jumped my hand again when I set them on railing! Has a friend who's not very tame, but follows him/her to get some good treats! more coffee....
I'm here....lurking. Busy, busy. Love your pics, Diane! Nice to see T-bird with us! Lolly, have a wonderful celebration. Stay warm! Nope, haven't seen any visitation yet.
I've posted a picture of the pile along with a picture of the puzzle in its frame on my blog.
Maybe I will be encouraged to keep grading since I have posted a picture of the work to be done.
Students were supposed to put the paper in a manila envelope because it keeps everything together. Some did not know what a manila envelope is. They were also expected to have a report cover. Some did not know what a report cover is. They have so much to learn.
Love your new pictures, Shirley... I'm telling you, there is a prize-winning book to be written by YOU, and retirement shortly afterwards when you roll in the millions
Good Luck with the papers. Bird Puzzle Picture looks great !
Already discouraging. First envelope contained no final draft. Just some preliminary stuff and a note that said the paper can be found under the student's name. Where? Online? I did not promise to look there. Grade=35% for preliminary stuff.
I have a work at home day on Monday. It is counted as a work day, but I do not have to go to the school. I have plenty to do.
We can go to the school if we wish, but they are working on the heating system, so it will probably be very cold in the building. That may be true on Tuesday as well.
Students do not return until Wednesday. I have to be there on Tuesday, but will have to attend some meetings. It is an in-service/work day. I really need to be allowed to do my own thing on Tuesday. So much to do.
I am working at home today, even though that does not count.
It seems that I just missed the eagles in the nest. Before leaving for church I saw the one egg in the nest at BWE.
We will not be leaving for Dallas for another hour and a half. Will do some quick mopping of floors before going.
Forgot to tell you. This morning while going down for the paper, I was looking for the hawks again. Looked in the same area, then something caught my eye. One hawk was on our mailbox. I stopped walking and watched but a car drove by and the rs hawk flew off. Guess they are finding our yard as a great hunting ground. Wish they would dig up moles or better yet, haul off an armadillo. LOL
They had a certain area of our yard where they droped the remains. We called it the grave yard. We found snake skeletons, turtle shells, cattle egret feathers and legs, and fish heads.

My eagle or hawk had a squat neck. White tail eagle is too thin and brown.
fingernails are gone. fingers to the first knuckle are gone.....sweat pouring.....
Lynne, i am right there with you!
this will be the longest minute of my life.
S T E E L E R S !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whoa! What a game.
It's over. Congrats to the Steelers.....tho' neither team was outstanding in performance. Close score.
GREAT GAME!!!!

He wasn't sure what was going on with the sound.
Doubt that either of them are good enough to advance any further than this week.
Sounds like it was a good game...I missed it all! Went shopping at Lowes and Home Depot...looking for ideas for beach house.
Haven't had much of an appetite, been fighting a cold this week. Pooped out last night, but feel better today.
Wanted to cook kielbasa and potato pancakes....had to run back out for the kielbasa...almost ready...yum!
Well, now, where is Ms. DANA, the blog's biggest Steeler fan?
Sorry you lost your nails Lynne:)
LYNN, Capt. Gene has a very painful stiff neck. I'm going to give hime a massage, then, should I put heat or cold on it?
Shirley, so glad you got to talk to Susan last night.
Paula, sounds like you have a lot of fun coming your way! Should be one of the most interesting projects you have undertaken!
BEagle, might have been a juvie...their coloring is different on many hawks.
Wonder if they would let Susan come home if she does have the Swine Flu? Hope that is not the case! Bless her heart, what a way for her trip to turn out:(
She'll be so happy to see her Mommy!
Lynn, glad Mai will get to meet other pups!
OMG, another game! And Fubby says 2 tommorrow!
Saw the second NC chick hatched....they have a FB page.
And some good visits today by our pair!
Wanda, I was wondering the same thing about Susan...if it's a different strain.
Sorry Ravens fans. I know how disappointed I'd be if it had gone the other way! You're right Lynn, neither of them played so well.
Well, I would worry about Susan flying with her ears infected. Ouch, that would hurt.
Paula, thanks for the info from Steve. Guess it is what it is!
Hope you can kick you cold fast Paula and thanks for the info from Steve. That explains why it got so dark when I was up in the wee wee hours the other night...the moon must have moved lower.

Hope he feels better soon Wanda!
We should count how many nights we can see...Have noticed some lightening and darkening tonight...clouds, perhaps?
I think clouds too Paula. What Steve says makes it all make sense now, what we've seen, I mean!
We had a nice visit with our friends Joan and Brian this afternoon. Joan has MS, and has been having a heck of a time with shingles for the past few months. (due to the steroids she takes for the MS). She is such a trooper. She rescues Rotties!
she's been seeing an infectious disease specialist. I sure hope they can figure out how to help her.
Good grief, ruptured ear drums too? Oh my....prayers.
nest looks really bright at the moment!
must be clouds passing, darker now. I'm just glad we have a light at all!
Moon is pretty bright AND it is pretty cloudy, Lynne2 -
you are right !
thanks for the information from Steve, Paula...
regarding sound: it is intermittent for me, usually hear the clicking sound, BUT, when the eagles mated on the nest Thursday afternoon I heard some eagle chortling...☺
now bright again....good grief I need to stop watching the empty nest! Although I'm hoping for a night visit! Hi Margy!
Lady Blackwater is awake, she checked the egg a few mins ago, but was not far enough off the egg cup...could only see the one, still, so far...the suspense, waiting on a second one
With full moon approaching, it would be a DREAM to have clear skies at night this coming week
Hi Lynne!
Hope your therapy works on the Captain, Wanda....
even better if full moon and hatching happen at the same time!
MARGY...I just go word from Karla that Jillian was awarded the honor of being ROOKIE OF THE YEAR...just as you predicted. Lord have mercy, I'm so proud. She really did work hard and long hours!
Photo of the award on my SMILES:):)
Plasticis still on it so it doesn't show up well.
Wanda that's great news!!!
Well, that could happen Lolly...
have to calculate from egg laying...then the 35 days or so to hatching...
we might have to do some Full Moon dancing ☺
That is terrific Wanda....she and her entire family can be so proud!
Next year she will probably get one for Top Responder with the most calls.
I got Rookie of the year in 1986 at Hedgesville....
Well Lynne I guess meant to direct my Full Moon dancing comment to you...getting my "L's" mixed up
Wanda....heat for a stiff neck!!!!
Lynne, I told Shirley earlier that flying with ruptured eardrums---which Suzi has---is okay and actually makes them feel better. However, if she is infectious with H1N1, she may not be allowed.
Thanks for that word from Steve, Paula.
Bear report
when the moon is bright you can see in the middle of the nest just about from 6 to 12 the shadow of a branch that I saw the other night. I will now cease to obsess over the light and go take my shower.
but how can you hear with ruptured ear drums?
January 19 - Full Moon
February 18 - Full Moon
March 19 - Full Moon
nice thing is the Moon will give lots of brightness before and after those "Full" dates so we might luck out! Esp with hatching if it mirrors other years
HI Lynn...how are the gam gashes?
sorry about the scratches from this morning
Wanda, my PROFESSIONAL and personal experience is that ice makes muscle pain worse. It causes the muscle to contract more. HEAT relaxes it and eases the pain.
believe me I had computer neck AND shoulders after the overnight shift this morning
barely seeing any change from one refesh to the other at BWE -
looks like the eagle is kind of hovering but I guess she is roosted
Shirley
sorry to read of Susan's condition, but am happy to know you can stay in touch with her...sure she needs all the Mom Time you have been able to share ♥
time to start getting ready for the night shift...
wonder what tonight holds
back before leaving, later
xo
Been doing research for our legislative undertaking. Whew....eyes are going crazy from reading all the legalese!!!!
Gonna go take my bath! BBL.
Oh, by the way it is Tomorrow January 16 at Chrissy's Roost...
Happy Birthday Chrissy !!
Hope the day holds magic and wonder that lasts the whole year through ! xo
OK, Lynn and Lynne...heat it is...Karla's phone call stopped me from putting an ice pack on the stiff neck. Hot coals from the fireplace wrapped in foil and a towel...here we come!
Oh, Margy, gashes feel ok now---bet that will change when warm water penetrates the bandaids!!!!
Hope you don't have another night like last night. Tho' I think Carolyn feels like she missed out!
She's glad to be with you again tonight.
You are right Margy!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISSY!
Steve's comment about the night lite confirms what I thought...the nite light is not directed...it is very diffuse
Wanda
You can also put UNCOOKED rice in a sock and moisten that, then heat up in the microwave
Lynn, last night was just too crazy and we were one person short!
I can see that stick shadow, Lynne.
sooo, a flashlight would help ☺
It's actually a great nite lite when the moon is out!
eagle off the nest cup at BWE - one egg
Mrs. BWE is off the egg. There is still just one. Looks little to me.
Happy birthday, Chrissy.
turning the egg now I think, BWE
that was a pretty, very clear view
only five mins left before it stops for the night
Hi Paula
tell us what you bought today !
HI BEagle and Shirley
Lade Blackwater now seems to be settling in for the night
Those papers are waiting for me to grade them. I just could not do it today. I slept a lot. Guess I was tired.
Yesterday was stressful.
Going to head upstairs. Very tired, even though I napped today. George has to go back to the vet's on Monday to finish up his shots and get his bladder checked. They didn't have time to get the specimen today. They need to keep him for the day.
Or even what you are thinking about buying for the Beach House Paula.....all will be interesting to us...
will check back later...buzzer on dryer going off !
Good night Lady and Lord Blackwater and egglet Blackwater
ttfn xo
Hi Margy. Good night.
G'Night Shirley.....hope you get good rest
Goodnight Strong. Prayers still going up for Susan and you too.
♥
Wow I am late coming in here.
My Mai scratch has disappeared, Lynn
I m glad she is doing well at the training classes and now to get to know other doggies and how to behave.
Jillian should be so proud of herself.
Awards from your own co-workers & peers
mean the most!
Congrats to you Steelers! Very close game - Wish you well at the bowl.
Forgot to say congrats to Jillian!!
Forgot to say congrats to Jillian!!
Sleep well Shirley knowing that Susan
is getting the attention she needs.
And she will be home soon.
BEagle did you look up the
Cooper's Hawk?
Well, I had a granddaughter turn
25 yrs old today.
Grandson said it is great down at the beach in the off off season! They are having a blast.
Paula you really should say
Congrats to Jillian! lol
Most of BWE eggs hatch in the afternoon
So since tomorrow is a holiday and the last day of a long weekend... I'll bet
the little one pops out of the egg.
Lisa predicted before the end of the weekend
LOL, double congrats!
Jo, are you talking about eggs being LAID, not Hatched at BWE?
I think you can handle that speed, Paula. You made out on the deal.
Is there a boat dock - I need to go back and look at your photos.
Nope, no pier...yet! But will definitely do that too. Then I can fish and crab and just sit on the pier and have a drink!
Put some so-so pics on blog, but they are our favorite bird!
I did look up the Coopers Hawk. It was too slim. This was a chunky bird.
And I think it was a juvie like Paula suggested.
And it sure did look like the Red Tail shown on Wikipedia. I didn't get to see the tail feathers on mine and it had more blond feathers than brown.
If I had a camera, I would have stopped for a pic.
Just checked game---Green Bay is going to town!
Gus is really cute.
Yea, So-So GREAT photos Loretta!
okay Paula...sounds like you have your work cut out for you and then the boat to relax in after a long day's work !
It will be great fun to hear all the projects you get involved in there and also nice that it seems ready to be a Roost during the projects
Happy 1/4 decade birthday to your granddaughter Jo... guess this would be a "Silver" Birthday?
Or maybe that just applies to Wedding Anniversaries !
Thanks Margy... I have had quite a few grandkids hit the 25 and also the 30.
This is when they start to realize they are adults.
heading to bed. Good night and prayers for all!
Geez, when I was 25, I might have been just going OUT at this hour! I really don't miss those days...
Your so-so pics are good, Loretta.
I love little Gus!
Thanks Paula for setting me straight
Most of BWE eggs are LAID in the
afternoon..........
I think it is time for me to get ready to hit the pillow! Take care everyone and have a good night's rest.
Prayers for all of our wants/needs
Hugs to all ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Guess I'll watch the Hagerstown MD TV news for the latest on the nightclub shooting....
then head out to see what happens tonight in our fair city/county

Pleasant Feather Dreams & Prayers for Good Health ;>)
Oh by the way, Berkeley Countians and anyone traveling through Martinsburg
Lots of wooden snowmen displayed on North and South Queen Street Main Street Martinsburg, very nice ! Will try to get some pictures in the morning
okay bye
LOL, Margy....they had pics in the paper early this week....they labeled one as a red robin. Sure looked like a CARDINAL to me!
Yes, Wanda, congrats to Jillian!!!
And, please, no hot coals for a hot pack!!!! Wet a handtowel, roll it and heat in microwave. Place in folded towel and then wrap around Gene's neck.
Shirley, now that Suzi's drums have ruptured, there shouldn't be any fluid build-up.
OK, some warmth on Gene's neck after the massage, says it feels much better. He would rather have more massage than heat...sorry Buster, these hands are joining the rest of my body in bed:)
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS

We will just have to hope Belle lays in eggs and the hatches happen during daytime hours.
Jets vs the Patriots & the Seahawks vs the Bears? I'm not sure yet.
Let's see if my avatar worked
Good Morning Wanda and Thelma.
So Wanda eagle was in the nest this am then. Ok.
Thelma how are things weather wise your way?
Well Little Man ate some this AM not much. Guess I am going to have to baby him some more with chicken and broth and maybe some rice.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISSY
I only watched the end Dana. The Steelers were really rolling.
Yes they were Thelma but HOW IS YOUR WEATHER DOWN YOUR WAY???
Morning, Tbird and Wanda and Dana!!
Waiting for my coffee to brew ☺
You should be able to hear the wind at the nest today, but nada.
Lolly, sounds like a nice afternoon! What is Michael cooking?
Diane, love your pictures on your blog. The squirrel and turtle drinking out of the same dish is cute.
Good morning everyone Go Patriots :-) You have to admit you almost never see a sports post form me. LOL
Got the pop up cam popped up. Hoping to see Lib and Belle while I am at the computer.
Good morning!
Fantastic pictures Diane.
Hoping to hear something from Susan today.
Nest Update from BWE
01/16/11:
As of 9am on Sunday, we still have one egg. Since our couple is experienced, we would expect to see at least a two-egg clutch, so the 2nd should come sometime today.

Chrissy, hope you have a fantastic birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shirley, I pray your gal soon can get home and in good health to boot!
Such a worry for a mother because it is

Take care!
I am going out for a few hours...
Keep your eyes on BWE... Need 1 more egg.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION LOLLY
I am trying that V8 V-Fusion Light Cranberry Blackberry IT IS PRETTY GOOD! I tried some others they were terrible. I like this one...can get some veggies this way. ( :
Good morning and thank you, Dana!
Boy is Little Man downing that chicken broth, chicken and brown rice I fixed him. That makes me happy. ( :
All is quiet on the cam front! When I went to bed last night, Lily was awake and scraping more bedding into the den. Hated to turn her off. You could see Hope's eyes glowing in the depths of the den. :) No sign of a second egg yet at BW. Had that cam up while reading the paper.
Gotta go now. Have a great Sunday.
Sure need my coat this morning. Sigh.............
He licked it clean but I'll still wash it lol and he is looking at me like "Mom where is more". Nope if your not eating regular food like usual. We are taking this slow boy.
Chicken & Rice...doggie cure-all ☺

Good Morning Eagleland. Haven't checked cams yet~~been out with peanuts for Shorty. He must have been really hungry--almost jumped my hand again when I set them on railing! Has a friend who's not very tame, but follows him/her to get some good treats!

I'm here....lurking. Busy, busy.
Love your pics, Diane!
Nice to see T-bird with us!
Lolly, have a wonderful celebration. Stay warm!
Nope, haven't seen any visitation yet.
Have a wonderful birthday, Chrissy.
Finally sitting down to grade papers.

Happy Birthday Chrissy !♥
Love your new pictures, Shirley... I'm telling you, there is a prize-winning book to be written by YOU, and retirement shortly afterwards when you roll in the millions
Good Luck with the papers.
Bird Puzzle Picture looks great !
Getting ready to head out soon for Animal Advocates meeting and dinner with a friend. C U l8r (as my gd texts!).
so except for Wanda's early morning peek at one eagle, the Royal Pair has given us the slip - nice weather...maybe they are just out soaring
C U Hedgie...
have a good meeting
So good to see T-Bird on earlier...been wondering about the Southern Delegation here lately !
Thanks, Margy.
Already discouraging. First envelope contained no final draft. Just some preliminary stuff and a note that said the paper can be found under the student's name. Where? Online? I did not promise to look there. Grade=35% for preliminary stuff.
tried for 3 hours to sleep, it isn't happening...going to go have some kid fun...I'm OFF tonight
Best wsishes for a good day everyone
xo ♥
OK Shirley....but still hope there wil be some good literature in there somewhere !!
Do you have school Monday?
some schools here are closed
LOL, Great start Shirley...good luck!
personally I was horrible at getting down to term papers and things, always waited until the last possible minute !

Prayers for Susan and her teacher

BWE eagle off the nest cup still only one egg
egg has stuff on it
Hi Eagle Folks,
The BWE cam is awesome. The detail of the feathers is sooo pretty. Beautiful scene there.
I see there are two on our nest. : )
BOTH EAGLES OUR NEST
THEY ARE HANGING OUT
I am trying to figure which one is which.
Lib is digging in the bowl...checking fluff content :)
I would say that is Lib close to the cam. I didn't think so at first but now I do. White shoulders.
That looks like Belle moving the stick and Lib just moved to the cup.
Da Bears!!! TD already, but Seahawks are tough, too. Should be a good game!
I think you are right Beagle, Looks like Lib down in the bowl now
Belle is also wider across the chest
Off went Belle
Off went one. I'm sure it was Belle.
I never notice the chest but I will check it closer. I was also trying to compare beaks. I think Lib's might be more hooked than Belles.
I was going by tail feathers at first...generally you can see more of Lib's than Belle's, but not today, LOL
Lib is also lighter than Belle, but it's hard to distinguish that in the sunshine.
Looks like he is waiting for her to return
Belle seems to have the habit of putting one of her talons forward. Is that my imagination or have you noticed also?
Do you mean when standing?
I have noticed the lighter lacier wing feathers.
Chicks were just in view at NC, parent just covered them up
Yes, you can see that now on Lib
I wonder why the NC eagles haven't been given names?
I have a work at home day on Monday. It is counted as a work day, but I do not have to go to the school. I have plenty to do.
We can go to the school if we wish, but they are working on the heating system, so it will probably be very cold in the building. That may be true on Tuesday as well.
Students do not return until Wednesday. I have to be there on Tuesday, but will have to attend some meetings. It is an in-service/work day. I really need to be allowed to do my own thing on Tuesday. So much to do.
I am working at home today, even though that does not count.
Beautiful sight at the nest.
Lib is just standing there, looking around
Eatin time at Jordan
Nice article in the Sunday Gazette about Bald Eagles. Thirteen were spotted at New River Gorge along with a Golden Eagle.
The nest that was discovered last year produced two juvies. Another nest has been discovered overlooking Bluestone Lake.
Aren't they cute at NC?
That was quick. Got to keep those babies warm.
Looks like the littlest one may have got a few bites
Lib up and flew off to the right
It seems that I just missed the eagles in the nest.
LOL
Belle and Lib will probably be back soon.
Lolly, I don't see why a hawk wouldn't want to eat armadillo! lol
Similar to a turtle. lol
I would be ecstatic seeing the hawk.
Just a little difference in size of an armadillo and a turtle. When we did have the hawks nesting in our tree we found several turtle shells.
They had a certain area of our yard where they droped the remains. We called it the grave yard. We found snake skeletons, turtle shells, cattle egret feathers and legs, and fish heads.
Got NC up with no problem today. Remains of dinner are just a little too colorful for my taste.
Still just one egg at BW.
They could double up on the armadillos. I bet the hawks have tried though. Armadillos roll up don't they?
I have never seen an armadillo roll up. The run like h____! LOL
Do not know of a predator of armadillos. Maybe coyotes or maybe cougars or Jack with a shotgun!!
