Never have liked Outback. Last time we ate there....years ago...it was awful.
Tonight for dinner rotisserie chicken (slaved over it lol), corn on the cob, leftover beans and fresh sliced tomatoes and mixed fruit for dessert! Had all that with a great bottle of wine. Tomorrow Camp Hawkwood begins...no wine!
Jacob quote (at their dinner table) Grandmommy better have that clay again or I am going to spank her bottom." I have the clay...do NOT want my bottom spanked!
Speaking of shopping . . . Since the first pairs of jeans I bought for Hunter were too small, I took him with me to the mall and had him try on some jeans. I actually got him to try on two pairs. It was a challenge.
He did not want to stand still or keep them on long enough for me to do much looking. First time, the plastic tag thingy was poking him and it was excruciating. The second time, he was afraid someone might steal his shorts from the fitting room. Did I mention that Hunter has a fantastic imagination?
I did enough calculating on the run to figure out the best size, but I bought a belt because he's so skinny.
When I was a kid, my mother took me shopping for my brothers' clothes. I tried them on and she figured the size differences. Boy Scout uniforms, all kinds of things. I tried them on for her.
There wasn't anyone else in the fitting room, BEagle. He wasn't worried about the shorts. He appeared in the door to the fitting room and I had to grab him and pull him out so I could see.
I asked him if he wanted to pick out a tee-shirt. Nope. I picked out a collared shirt. I think he has lots of casual ones.
He did go with me to pick up the jewelry box, and he is getting better. It used to be that I could not walk by Game Stop without having issues.
One time he called me "mean Grandma" because I kept walking by Game Stop. Loudly. A man working in the nearby jewelry store said something about how mean I was.
Last year, it was like Hunter went into a trance when we walked by that store. I think some hidden spirit was drawing him in. I just got to the point I didn't want to take him to the mall.
Howdy Precious Eagle Pals... golly, I wore red all day and it's only "Thursday" ???
have to admit, I have five days work of blog posts to catch up on (not to mention the E-M emails)...see how all of you have been doing....talk about being out of touch !
But I wanted to say "Hi" and will offer prayers for some things that I am sure to read about, and Yay for some good things I hope to read about too...
Have had you all on my mind and in my heart !
ttfn Green Beans are a'cookin and it's time for some chow
It's not on Ch. 5 here, although it says that it is. Will said it was on Ch. 5 at the gym.
I was looking at the schedule and it says Comcast Sportsnet for the Preseason games. But then I have Comcast for my computer, too. Maybe yours is different. But then, I don't know how these things work.
Lolly, size 8 regular. He has been wearing slim sizes, but this time the 8 slims were way too tight. The regulars are big in the waist, though. Kathryn thought he would need 10 slims or regulars. Tens are much too long.
Shirley, I think Hunter is not much bigger than my 5 year old Jacob. He will be six Sept. 8. He is very tall. His jeans are 7 regular. Of course, Joseph is very tall as well, but it is to be expected with very tall parents, and I am tall. ☺ And,I go into the dressing room with both boys. No modesty here!! The exact opposite!!
Lynne - do you think you are getting it by petting the dogs after their walks where they could have gotten into the poison ivy. That is what happened all the time to me as a kid.
One of my latest monarch caterpillars hung in the J and then died. I was so upset! Kept waiting for transformation to chrysalis. But he didn't look right...not really plump like the others. BEagle, sorry you also had a bad dining experience. Think I will be staying with Chez Judie. We tried Outback ONCE. Disappointed.
Andy, sorry about Andrea's companion. It is so devastating when we have to say goodbye. My heart goes out to her.
Every so glad I don't have to shop for children. Bad enough to shop for myself - yuk!
Hi Margy.
GO 'SKINS
Time to seek the sandperson. Turning my light off but will leave the night light on for others coming in, going back the hallway, to the tub, the shower, or the recliner. Andy will set our alarm for us.
No Jo, I got it at landlord/neighbors new farm. They have commissioned me to do some yard work for them, and the place is LOUSY with it!!! I've never seen so much, so HUGE and so widespread poison in one place EVER. They are spraying like crazy. And I have tried to be very careful. But it's been too hot to wear long sleeve, so I have it on both forearms again.
Andy, that was sad to read the the cat didn't make it. I'm so sorry for Andrea. Myself, and everyone on here know how HARD it is to loose a furry family member.
Okay, those of you on fb, I have shared a video. You have to see it. Today was Laurel's first day back for in-service for the teachers. They were doing "team building." LOL We all know about this! Anyway, Laurel and the guy across the table are on the same team. They start with 2 pencils on top of their hand then grab them, then 4, 6, 8, 10 and last 12 pencils. Laurel and the guy win! So tonight they have been doing it at home. But anyway, that is Laurel in the video, thought I would share. So funny!
LOL She has a hidden talent! She called to tell me it was on fb. She wanted me to watch it while we were on the phone together. We were really laughing. She was so serious doing it! Really concentrating.
Shanahan has worked those fellers hard (exc one) all summer, voluntarily...in training camp just might be the right idea..
I do plan to start reading from about the time Wanda talked about Sunday Brunch at Shoney's with GG.... James and I went for breakfast the very next morning...power of suggestion...
okay, laundry and dishes to do, will be back around ...
thanks for all the welcome back expressions...♥ ☺ you all know how to make a Magpie smile...
sounds like a fun video Lolly will try to catch it in a bit
Octagon Laundry Soap Bar applied to wet affected skin Lynne...try that... and find some really lightweight longsleeve shirt..try the Goodwill store! You must !
While I was waiting for a show to come on a couple of nights ago, the tail-end of a show was the pencil thing....the guy did it and won $125,000. Laurel should demand a monetary award!
BEagle....next pre-season game is with Baltimore---next week!!! Rivalry but not like the "hate Dallas" one! Sorry, Lolly!!!
Lolly, maybe the organizers of the event copied it from the TV show!!!
BEagle, also Fels Naptha soap bar (remember our mothers and g'mom's grating it into the wringer washer??) works if you lather up well after exposure. Told Lynne that it's still available from Vermont Country Store ccatalog. I haven't seen Octagon on the shelf in a long time here.
We had a fun evening at GG's. It was so good to see Jayden again and Karla:) Chicken turned out pretty good. Brandon and Andy ate thirds. I cooked 24-26 pieces and there are only 2 pieces left. GG was soooo happy to have Jayden back. She held him and rocked him. He does bring her to life! So sleepy...
Nice wishes, BEagle!! Are you planning on coming to Open House in OCt.??? Email me by clicking on link on my blog, please. Good night to all....prayers and peace.
just finished reading all the posts....made lots of notes... want to comment....but... eyes are drooping ... finishing out the evening watching Carole King and James Taylor on a WETA special...(replay from another broadcast) ...sigh....brings back so many memories of my late teens and early 20's... Good Night Eagle Friends, Prayers for wellness and peace xo ♥
Am hoping that the knee and back and poison ivy things and all other ailments will respond to treatment and that many of you had good doctor's appts this week
Andy sorry about your friend and the loss of her cat Gilson....
Good morning! Have read the paper and finished one mug of coffee. Now to go out and water pots and hanging baskets. This heat is horrible!! High today to be 104. Not sure what day were on, maybe 13 days of over 100 and several more to go. Then a break, a cool front, high only in the upper 90's. Give me a true break!!!
We leave about 3 for Elvis on the Square. Have to load up the boys gear before we go to dinner. Have hair appointments and shoes to buy while I have the boys. Barbara, who always cuts my hair, is really looking forward to trimming the boys hair. She gave Laurel her first haircut.
Going to Wally World to look for little hand held fans. Maybe I should look for one that sends out a mist. It is going to be terrifically hot. Poor Joey in his Elvis get up!
Andy, have been thinking of your poor friend loosing her cat. She should get a new kitten right away. They are so precious and so loving and will keep her busy. An empty house for her would be devastating.
Good morning, Eagle dudettes and dudes! Still cloudy here, but a little warmer...just heard AC kick on....it never came on once yesterday! Myrtle came crawling out of her hidey-place first thing this morning when I let the dog out. Fed her more mater. Hope everyone rested well, and whatever your Sat. plans are, hope you have fun! Happy Birthday to Jo's granddaughter!
Good Saturday morning... I am alert enough to know that I already had a Thursday and a Friday! Maybe new fresh thread will come soon. Thanks for all the well wishes for gs and now gd b-days. May be getting a visit from DC gd later. I need to make a phone call.
Whatever the excrement on deck was, it is also on ground....as are 4 long light green w/ 2 black stripes caterpillars!! Wonder what kind they are?? So guess they morphed from egg sacs, huh, and the stuff fell out of sacs? Duh....don't know much about this stuff!
It's been a busy morning here! Went to Wal-Mart and Trader Joe's (our regular Saturday pilgrimage) and got all that shopping done. Then met my Sis-in-law for a late breakfast at Kimmie's. Had a good time catching up on the latest.
Now Hubby has taken the car to get the oil changed and get it "smogged" so we can renew the registration on it. While waiting for him to get home, got all the patio plants watered well.
It's hotter here today--about the mid-80s, I'd guess. Supposed to be 90 tomorrow, Mon. & Tuesday. Then it's supposed to cool down some.
Still no message about my throat culture. Guess I have to wait until Monday to find out the verdict! Not bothering me much, so may be viral, not strep. Hope I'm able to beat it on my own! HATE to have to take antibiotics unless really necessary. Well, going to go do some laundry. Will check back in later. Have a good afternoon/evening! :o]
My slide scanning is completed and despite multiple attempts to email everything to Jo's Ed....no go, so on a flashdrive and packaged ready to go in mail on Mon. I did get the music I want used with the slideshow emailed to him, so this is good!
Definitely think I have lost a twin set of trees right outside the sunroom. Thankfully they are small---I can cut them down myself with my little electric chain-saw---but it still will cost me some shade. :(
BEagle, so sorry you're dinner out was such a disaster.
Hope Lolly is drinking LOTS of water in this heat they are having.
Nice day here, never got to 80 and clouds and nice breeze! Sure made yardwork, all 7 hours of it in long sleeves, bearable! I sure wish I had taken before and after pics of what I've done so far. I am VERY sore. That's a lot of hours to be sawing, dragging, digging, raking, etc., especially after 3 8-9 hour days at Irvine on my feet. OUCH!
Have learned the caterpillar was infected by a Tachinid Fly. I emailed the butterfly lady at Shady Oak Butterfly Farm in FLA (found her and her website via her FB page) and told her what happened. This morning, the caterpillar looked as she thought it would and I found the offending maggot on the bottom of the carrier. Hoping the 2 remaining chrysalis have not been infected as well. These caterpillars were caught in the wild by one of the gals at Irving who has raised many. Just one of those things.
I'd better get moving and get these animals fed. They are giving me the hairy eyeballs!
Lynne, you made me laugh for sure---haven't heard the haory eyeball phrase in MANY moons!!!! You sure are working hard....hope they are paying you well! Wanna come work for me?? I pay $10 an hour---I'll even feed you!
I am working hard for sure! Unemployment runs out...make my last 2 week claim tomorrow. We're going to be in BIG trouble if I can't get a job ASAP. Steve's been out cutting the grass almost all day for Landlord/neighbor. They are paying him to do that, too. It's just taking a while to get it done because he's cutting the fields where the Christmas trees are planted and they have only been cut once this summer. The grass is long and thick.
today, I saw a monarch on my butterfly weed. She got onto the underside of a leaf and touched her bottom to it! Bet she was laying an egg, and I can't help but wonder if it was one of "my" babies!
WANDA!!! The red morning glory has started to bloom! I'll have to get a picture in the morning for you. Thanks again, and thank GG for me!
Will try to catch up tomorrow. Not feeling so great tonight. Not sure about the new meds. Saying goodnight very early. Hope everyone has a pleasant evening.
BUT..I did get my lawn mowed. Once I got started I noticed that someone ran their car (probably an SUV) right through my yard and took out one side of my iris bed. :(
Now I see some movement at the nest. You know, spider web movement.
I saw the most beautiful spider while picking up my prunings. He was just the prettiest spider I have ever seen!
His behind was bright gold intertwined with black. His head was flat and snow white. His big legs were black but the joint connecting to the body was beige.
Okay, am I going to have to leave you all tonight?????????? I can do without the lurid details! please??!!
Lynne, have you put yourself out on the website that looks for YOU to fill their jobs??? I don't know what the site is called......but think that you put resume' on there.....might be worth a try!
I'm serious about hiring you---and Steve, too!!---if you don't mind the drive. Sure can't find anybody reliable here. ARGH!
BEagle, NY? I thought you were in WV or Ohio...???
We call those garden spiders...Zipper Spiders. I discovered one in the tomatoes and decided to leave him there...he will eat many insects! I don't like spiders either Lynn, but this one can stay for a while:)
Hi everyone. Storm delay for the Steelers game, so checking in...
My sister called today to tell me her husband, Charlie, now has an infection (VRE) and on IV antibiotics. This is after his 3rd surgery for his hip and everyone going into his room must wear gloves and gowns. How well I remember. I had the same infection after my last back surgery. Please keep Charlie in your prayers; and my sister, Judy, too. This has been a 4 month ordeal for her too.
Max and Mom will be here tomorrow so I'll be a bit busy or otherwise occupied, so prayers for all wants/needs; especially those for healing. Lynne that means you too.
Went out and got a haircut and a perm today and did a little more school clothes shopping for myself. I can't wear the clothes I wore for most of last year.
Kathryn and a friend had a yard sale. She was annoyed that they had problems with theft. One particular group engaged her and her friend in discussion over prices. She figures that's when the other members of the group were stealing.
Will says that three mailboxes were knocked down and there are skid marks in the area where we saw all of the emergency equipment the other night. I saw a woman sweeping glass out of her driveway. This is a neighborhood with a speed limit of 25 mph.
Getting ready to head upstairs. See you find folks tomorrow. Good night and God bless.

Did not know it was split time.
And not only that, the manager was ever so happy to get me a cup of coffee.
I never saw that cup of coffee which would have helped to soothe my ire while waiting for the steak.

Every time I got into a good topic of conversation with my son, the waitress came over and screamed over the noisy crowd asking if everything was all right!
I missed something. I did not know that 07's brother was also lost. I remember reading about some problems there, but did not know that both eaglets were lost. That is very sad.
That is a beautiful location, but it seems that it's risky for young eagles.
Touchdown!!
Oh, Andrea, so sorry for your friend Andrea.....know how much she is hurting. Poor kitty. But he has crossed the Rainbow Bridge where he will play happily forever.
21-3!
They did remove the cost of my steak from the bill.
I wasn't going to say a whole lot about it to my son, but he was disappointed also.
The next time we will go back to our favorite steak house.
Beagle, it is an hour-a-half trip by boat from the Mainland out to Catalina if that helps you judge the distance at all. It's quite a ways out.
21-3!
Andy - I am sorry about your friends kitty.
I may have to start watching football again. The Redskins are ahead 21-3!!!!!!!!!
BEagle - there have been no reports about 08...hasn't been seen, hasn't been found either...
When it comes to these eagles, I always want to know why. I probably shouldn't be that way but I am and I want to know the reason.
What is good is that the woman who wrote the report did not take a picture of little 07. It helps to keep the heartbreak down a little. She took a picture of the bands. :(..
Paula...I am not a shopping fan! So it's not fun for me, but it is for them....plus Aunt Christie goes, too, so that helps us all!
BEagle, sorry your steak was so lousy. Hope the new one will be good when you eat it.
Wow, Paula.....so glad you saw Lib or Belle!
Hedgie, half hour by boat? How fast are they going?
BEalge, I posted before the split...26 miles off the coast
Where's Margy?

Good question, Paula! She has not been on lately. More computer problems? Lynn, have you talked with her?
Cannot find the game!
I knew they hadn't found hide nor feather of 08. I guess it's possible 08 made it to mainland out of antenna range. What do you think?
I think you should do a restaurant Lolly (only please, no armadillo!)
Was wondering where Margy is myself!!!?
I sent her an email...

Oh sorry Paula. Musta missed that.
If it takes half an hour to drive 26 miles by car going 60 and an eagle can travel, how fast? 40mph?
K08 could very well be on the mainland...
Channel 4 in DC, BEagle.
Great story Strong...
I was thinking if you took a girl shopping you would not run into the same challenges.
A girl would not worry about her shorts being taken because she could get a brand new pair if the were! lol.
There wasn't anyone else in the fitting room, BEagle. He wasn't worried about the shorts. He appeared in the door to the fitting room and I had to grab him and pull him out so I could see.

My channel 4 is NBC.
It would be nice to think that K8 is on the mainland.
Yep, NBC here too. Did you find it?
Game Stop is a fact of life.
Thank goodness mine aren't into games yet....and my boys weren't too bad on them...didn't have to have all the different video games...
I didn't know we split!
I will go back and check things I missed.
You are most fortunate Paula on the "games" arena.
Cannot find the game!
I must not have that sports channel in my package.
Last year, it was like Hunter went into a trance when we walked by that store. I think some hidden spirit was drawing him in. I just got to the point I didn't want to take him to the mall.
Yay!! A 77-yard touchdown!!
Try Ch. 5.
77 yard td?
Zowweee! I hope it's talent. Surely Buffalo isn't that bad.
Run-back for TD......all the way....77 yds. 27-3......28-3! Sure hope this is a good sign for the upcoming season!!!
I sure would like to see the Redskins have a good season.
Me too, BEagle. It is time for a turn-around.
Regular season opener is against Dallas.
I have Comcast. I guess that's the reason for the game being on Ch. 4.
The only thing I have is wrestling, golf, lotsa baseball, soccer, but only one ftball game. A college fb game.
The cam is doing funny things and also making spidey look spooky.
Another TD!
Sorry.....34-3!
Possibly you could find it on a radio station.
35-3!! In case you've forgotten.....I'm a FANatic!!
Howdy Precious Eagle Pals...

The Redskins are only second in line for the most football paraphernalia sold.
I read that probably 3 years ago though.
Hi Margy,
We have been missing you!
No, Shirley, it's on Ch. 4 & 5 both....on DirecTV and regular antenna both. Not a Comcast presentation.....if not network, local channel coverage.
Yep, local....checked NY and LA network---not on there! Guess the Bills "don't get no respect" in NY City!
Bubbling Margy is back! Yea!
Margy's b-a-c-k!!! Hope you have had a great week!
Radio station.
Let me check the web!!!!!
Shirley, what size jeans did you get Hunter? Joseph is in 14 slim and needs to wear a belt, but he has to have the length. He will be 10 in Oct.
Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hellooooo Margy! We were talking about you, we missed you! Cause we ♥ U!!!☺
Ya know, I don't think I have a radio!
(snort)
It's not on Ch. 5 here, although it says that it is. Will said it was on Ch. 5 at the gym.

Hunter will be 10 the end of November.
TD Buffalo.
Well, I have heard that Comcast rocks.
That is a good thing.
They must be tired.......35-17 in a few blinks of an eye.
Hunter weighed 67 pounds when I took him in to be weighed for football. This is the first time he has been one of the bigger kids on the team.
Where did you hear that, BEagle?
Oh my, I hope they hold onto that lead.
I did okay by returning the too-small jeans. They price had dropped, and they were on sale the first time.
Probably my son.
BEagle, you can get some radio stations online......try this link for a list:
Redskins Radio Online
Maybe something else rocked. Like he was talking about DSL vs cable or something and mentioned Comcast.
I always wash with rubbing alcohol if I think I have touched poison ivy.
LOL, Shirley....I KNOW what you are talking about.....not sure anyone else does!! Don't get FB and blog confused!!!
Poison Ivy Prevention
Shirley, I think Hunter is not much bigger than my 5 year old Jacob. He will be six Sept. 8. He is very tall. His jeans are 7 regular. Of course, Joseph is very tall as well, but it is to be expected with very tall parents, and I am tall. ☺ And,I go into the dressing room with both boys. No modesty here!! The exact opposite!!
Yahoo!!!! 42-17!!!!
What did I say, Lynn?
Wow. 42-17!
Maybe I could have gone in, but I was reluctant. I told him to come out and let me see the jeans.
Oh, the poison ivy. Excuse me.
I am trying to keep up with the game, the jeans, and everything else that is going on.
FB - Lynne has another bout with
poison ivy.
LOL LOL LOL!!!! Just popped on to see Shirley's post....LOL! I was talking about my poison on FB.
Evening all! I'm itching again WOO HOO or rather BOO HOO!
Been trying to catch up on blog, email and FB. Was at Irvine all day again. FUN!!!
I got some pics I'll post later this weekend from there.
Getting ready for some ice cream and bed.
Lynne has poison ivy again.
Lynne - do you think you are getting it by petting the dogs after their walks where they could have gotten into the poison ivy. That is what happened all the time to me as a kid.
I know you know what it looks like!
I was also playing a computer game. Too much multi-tasking.
One of my latest monarch caterpillars hung in the J and then died. I was so upset! Kept waiting for transformation to chrysalis. But he didn't look right...not really plump like the others. His antennae went limp a couple of hours ago, and the transformation takes place in an hour after that. But it didn't.
Hi everyone.
Fell asleep after dinner.

Heading for ice cream. Good night and prayers for all of you....
and remember
LEAVES OF 3, LET IT BE!!
3rd interception! WOuld be cool if they could get another TD in only 45 seconds!
Welcome back Margy
Night Judie
I'm not far behind you.......
Oh, chickens.....kneeling down.
Good game! Way to go Redskins!!!
Maybe Shanahan is finally the right person for the job!!!
I think Andy's already set the alarm for tonight.
I am yawning and yawning.
Yay, Redskins won!!
42-17
Goodnight Judie, Lynne and soon-to-go-Jo!
Okay, those of you on fb, I have shared a video. You have to see it. Today was Laurel's first day back for in-service for the teachers. They were doing "team building." LOL We all know about this! For all Skins' fans I am hoping the team performs this great throughout the season!
Enjoyed the pencil thing, Lolly.
We had an in-service on year that involved throwing stuffed fish. I still have my stuffed fishy.
I was just watching that Lolly
Pretty cool!
LOL She has a hidden talent! She called to tell me it was on fb. She wanted me to watch it while we were on the phone together. We were really laughing. She was so serious doing it! Really concentrating.
I don't think I could have done nearly so well as she did, Lolly. She is very coordinated.
Going to head upstairs.
See you tomorrow.
Good night and God bless.
Just got a message from
Dana. She said to tell you that blogger cop has kept her off all day.
Nite Shirley! Sweet dreams!
Shanahan has worked those fellers hard (exc one) all summer, voluntarily...in training camp

While I was waiting for a show to come on a couple of nights ago, the tail-end of a show was the pencil thing....the guy did it and won $125,000. Laurel should demand a monetary award!
Margy, you are right about the "except one"!!!! As far as I'm concerned, they should have given him the boot!
G'night, Shirley.
OMG Lynn! I just copied and sent your comment to Laurel on an email. She will die!
Octagon Laundry Soap? I will have to check that one out.
It's nightie night time.
That restaurant must have SOMETHING because there was a crowd. A very noisy one.
Glad the "reds" are doing well. Who will they play next?
Prayers are going up that your aches and pains will go away,
that your bills are easy to pay,
and that you do a happy dance even when you don't feel like it.
♥
BEagle....next pre-season game is with Baltimore---next week!!! Rivalry but not like the "hate Dallas" one! Sorry, Lolly!!!
Lolly, maybe the organizers of the event copied it from the TV show!!!
BEagle, also Fels Naptha soap bar (remember our mothers and g'mom's grating it into the wringer washer??) works if you lather up well after exposure. Told Lynne that it's still available from Vermont Country Store ccatalog. I haven't seen Octagon on the shelf in a long time here.
We had a fun evening at GG's. It was so good to see Jayden again and Karla:)
Chicken turned out pretty good.
Brandon and Andy ate thirds.
I cooked 24-26 pieces and there are only 2 pieces left.
GG was soooo happy to have Jayden back. She held him and rocked him.
He does bring her to life!
So sleepy...
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SLEEP WELL
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Nice wishes, BEagle!! Are you planning on coming to Open House in OCt.??? Email me by clicking on link on my blog, please.

Good Night Eagle Friends,
Prayers for wellness and peace

Good very early morning, everyone.
Trouble sleeping.
Lynne, so sorry you have poison ivy again. Hope you won't suffer too much. Miserable to go through.
Wanda, glad you all had a good time with GG. Great she has the opportunity to hold Jayden and see Karla. Chicken must have been super good.
Enjoy Elvis tomorrow, Lolly. Try to stay cool.
Go 'SKINS.
On the emergency vehicles in the neighborhood the other night. . . maybe a car accident. We saw a demolished mailbox.
When we went out to look, a car came up to us and a young man asked, "Were they racing?" I wonder what that was all about.
Good Saturday Morning, and
Happy Birthday to Jo's Granddaughter today
Hope it is a great day....
sure enjoy reading those GG reports, Wanda....
sounds like a great weekly family reunion you folks have going
sorry Lynne, to read that some of the Monarch caterpillars had not survived...sure was neat reading about the butterfly tagging though
Yellow-Billed Cuckoos...
have seen a pair at Swinging Bridge a few years ago...
and hear one or two sometimes nearly every time I am out there....
loved the bird call link Lynne or was it Lynn....sure sounds just like them !!
Good detective work, between you two and Loretta !
Am hoping that the knee and back and poison ivy things and all other ailments will respond to treatment
and that many of you had good doctor's appts this week
Andy

"Time to Act Like an Adult..."
well, time for me to scram and get some [other] things done
Best wishes for a good day....
hope it can be mostly play and not too much work
and that everyone sees some neat wildlife
ttfn xoxo
I'll probably send pics to fb by my iphone.
Andy, have been thinking of your poor friend loosing her cat. She should get a new kitten right away. They are so precious and so loving and will keep her busy. An empty house for her would be devastating.
Morning, all!
Glad to see Miss Margy on here!
Lynne, sorry about the poison ivy.
Fell asleep after reading last night.
Go Skins! Hope that means a good season ahead!
At work for awhile, then eye Dr then work, then to the kids for the evening and overnight.
Happy birthday, belated, to Corey and today to Jo's granddaughter.
Good Saturday morning... I am alert enough to know that I already had a Thursday and a Friday! Maybe new fresh thread will come soon.
Thanks for all the well wishes for gs and now gd b-days.
May be getting a visit from DC gd later. I need to make a phone call.
So glad Myrtle came out for maters!
Jo, I have finished the slides!!! Sent Ed an email!!
That is wonderful! You did good!
Taking a break

Hi Myrtle!
Howdy, Jim! How are things on the West Coast?
Whatever the excrement on deck was, it is also on ground....as are 4 long light green w/ 2 black stripes caterpillars!! Wonder what kind they are?? So guess they morphed from egg sacs, huh, and the stuff fell out of sacs? Duh....don't know much about this stuff!
Do not know much about it either, Lynn. Maybe Lynne and Wanda will be of help.????
Getting ready now to leave. Dreading the heat. Looked for some little battery powered fans but could not find any. All sold!!
Will get on when I can this next week. Going to be slightly busy. lol Also, they like to play games on the computers.
So, see ya when I see ya!
Be careful - some of those may have stingers.
Paula, you're having a full day!
Enjoy your sleep over
Getting ready to get ready for Mass.
Hoping DC GD can come up for dinner but she had to work some today.
BBILW
Almost ready to put my foot out the door. Maybe a new thread when I return or even a sighting of eagles in our nest.
Take care - I'll return
Prayers for all
Hi, Gang,
It's been a busy morning here!
It's hotter here today--about the
mid-80s, I'd guess.
Well, Jo, no eagles and no new thread...yet!
Heading out soon, have a wonderful evening!
Andy, glad that your throat is better....would venture to say that it is just viral....untreated strep would be most painful w/ fever, etc.
Have fun, Paula. Hope you get some sleep!!
Evening all!
Glad your throat is better Andy!
Paula's gonna have lots of fun tonight!
Home from Mass and gd can't make it up
SOooo Pizza is going to be tonight
Paula said no eagles and not a new thread.
Going to eat after seeing if Lolly put any Elvis pics on FB
Lynne, you made me laugh for sure---haven't heard the haory eyeball phrase in MANY moons!!!!
You sure are working hard....hope they are paying you well!
Wanna come work for me?? I pay $10 an hour---I'll even feed you!
Don't think the show has started yet, Jo! Sure hope the heat doesn't get to Joey all dressed up in that Elvis outfit!
Well, guess it HAS, Jo! Pics on FB---but don't know if either is Joey or not.
Hi everyone,
Will try to catch up tomorrow. Not feeling so great tonight. Not sure about the new meds. Saying goodnight very early. Hope everyone has a pleasant evening.
Hello y'all.
I have been out of service nearly the entire day!
BUT..I did get my lawn mowed. Once I got started I noticed that someone ran their car (probably an SUV) right through my yard and took out one side of my iris bed. :(
I musta perspired one quart of liquid out there.
Well Lynne...prayers are going up for you.
In NY, I got a job as a school bus driver, the smaller buses for special needs children.
It paid well and the time in between dropping off the children and picking them up, I was able to look for something else.
Judie, prayers are going up for you.
No doubt you will have to adjust to the new meds.
feel better Judie!
I think the cam is out right now. Nothing is moving.
Poor little 07.
He looked almost three inches in diameter, with legs and all.
Gonna go see if I can find out what kind of spider that was.
BBL
Sounds like you found a black and yellow garden spider!
Is this it?
Garden Spider
They are pretty, and BIG!
ARGH!
BEagle, NY? I thought you were in WV or Ohio...???
interesting article about why so many butterflies must die...
Butterflies, What if they all lived
I lived in NY for a year.
Judie, hoping you are asleep......are your symptoms comparable with listed side-effects?? Sure hope you feel better in the morning.
Yes, Lynn, on Monster.com and also IHireVeterinary.com
we'd be happy to come help you Lynn...if ever I can get Steve off of the dang lawnmower! He's STILL out there cutting in the dark!

Good Grief. What a cut and paste!
It was an orb weaver. Solid black legs till you get to the body joint.
Prettiest Orb Weaver I ever saw.
I even saw a picture of an orb eating a bird. ewww.
I am in the capitol city of WV.
I guess butterflies, much as we love them, could become problematic if they lived a few years. :)
BEagle, was the spider in it's web? They make MASSIVE webs!
Aha, BEagle....with the gilded dome! Been there once, many years ago. Drove by/thru twice on ??64?? about 6 yrs. ago.
God bless
Sorry, I studdered.
GOOOOOOO STEELERS!!!!!!
Saw that line of storms near Pittsburgh and wondering if it would hold together and get here later.
Prayers for Judie and Charlie for sure. Goodness, what a long ordeal.
My goodness, what bad luck to have all those problems, Diann...hip surgery 3 times?
Prayers for Charlie and Judy.
After looking at the Orb Spider, don't think it is the same as the Zipper Spider...must be cousins, though, kissing cousins:)
BEagle, check the radar, looks like you have some weather moving in your direction.
Watching a Hallmark movie....
BBL
Oh, Diann, poor Charlie, and Judy, too. Prayers for sure. Is he back in or still in hospital?
Enjoy your visit tomorrow!!
Just put a couple of Irvine creatures on my blog.
Oh, my, Lynne, guess it IS good that so many die off!!!! Talk about an invasion if they didn't!
now just put the new baby monarch caterpillar on blog.
I know Lynn, isn't that crazy!
Well, still haven't found a picture that looks like the caterpillars I saw, but it sure sounds like it's some kind of cutworm.
Hello,
Prayers for Charlie and Judy and for Judie, too.
Split time is here. Whee!
