I think I may have the worng link for the Washington Cam Everytime I look it looks like its not quite morning, I can get Caltrans OK but not Lake Washington all week. What am I doing wrong please. and thanks.
Hi gang. Busy morning here, but caught up on all except momsters mail. NORMA!!!! Welcome home! Missed your cheery greetings! Now get that email working!!! Dana, Jo...please...no spideys to me!!! Congrats, Deb...can't wait to see the mag. Thanks for the CO news link, Jo...some really nice eagle pics there, too!
Pretty sun on our nest, and here, too, but still chilly. Just glad we didn't get enough snow to measure! Loretta....Morgan Co. (where PawPaw is) had enough that school was delayed. Hope you find your earring, but very afraid that it's a goner...boo. Lunchtime. BBL!
Thx Lynn, I've already goje out & looked & didn't see anything. If it shows up, OK, if not OK-ordered new ones. Saw a switching of the eggsitters little while ago. I've been taking pics of the screen w/camera TEE HEE. Didn't bring floppy to get off any saved pics. Saw the adult walk over to bowl & look over the eggs.
Thanks Mits and Costume Lady. Yes, please tell Sandra that I said hello and that I miss her. I was thinking of her yesterday when I got on the blog for the first time in a looong time! I remember when she was here, and we would take time in the afternoons to check out the eagles.
Nice to meet you Hedgie! I work at Jefferson Memorial Hospital as the Occupational Therapist. I see patients on the rehab floor here as well as acute care and intensive care unit. I also work at this outpatient therapy department when needed.
Good morning to all! Yes, it is still morning here!
NORMA......Welcome back!!!! You have been missed! HO!
MARGY.......Sorry you are not feeling well....take care!
DONNIE......fantastic pictures. If you guys have not gone and looked at Donnie's pictures and short video's be sure to do so.
DEB.....Congratulations!! That is fantastic, though not surprising, you have talent with the camera!
I am really slow today. Stayed up til 2, I do that when Jack is gone. Don't know why! Woke up today with a swollen upper lip. Boy, they did me over yesterday and my upper lip is bruised!! Woe is me! LOL
Okay, I got nothing done yesterday. Today I clean house. Gotta get with it!
Have a great day everyone! 62 here, bright sunshine, but supposed to turn cooler this afternoon.
Thanks for the link Deb and congrats on your pictures etc. I have updated that link on the ftloe forum Alphabetical links too.
Eagle Season locla kind of gives me less tiem for the cams but in a couple of weeks they will be gone and I always miss them so very much once they leave.
Read back & Congrats' Deb that your pictures will be published!! You'll have to give us mag name so we can order! Good grief, we are getting another light batch of flakes.
I could almost see the eggs under. I'm on the edge of the chair looking... like thats going to help see underneth. Now settled down again. Hope everyone had a good lunch. I'm back. I told everyone I had to get back to count the eggs. They think I'm nuts, but thats OK...
ha ha, what a converssation I've started... Donnie, get of the chair and join the rest of us nuts... my family tells me that every time they see I have the cam up. Eagle just flew in-both in nest. Brought fluff, I think.
I was made fun of a little bit, too, when I first joined this Blog. But after Capt. Eagle met all you ladies, he is just as interested in this blog as I am. He knows you all by your blog names and real names and where you are from. That makes me habby:)
Update on Alaska's Redoubt Volcano--from 8 AM AST. Redoubt Volcano continues to be restless. Seismic activity continues at an elevated level and is well above background levels. The volcano has not erupted.
A gas/observation overflight yesterday reported continued changes in the summit glaciers indicative of heating of the summit area. Photos from both the overflight and the hut webcam showed a small vapor plume at the summit. The web camera is now dark as our long winter night continues.
Danelle...my daughter works in the lab (Christie Reed) and her MIL works in ICU (Julia McDonough). Bet you know them!!! Wanda, I kind of figured that was the case with Sandra!!! Neat! There is a therapist at City who has done the same thing with my ex-MIL...& stops in to see her often at home on her way home from work.
NBG has such great color. What a great zoomed in shot right now of both eagles. I think they get a lot of funding for their cam from NBG funds and sponsorship by WVEC tv.
It truly is amazing how very different the various nests look on the many cams ....the clarity, the color, the dimensional aspects, etc...and so many in much more remote locations.....jmho!
Hi Hedgie! What a coincidence! I don't know Christie (I don't get down to the lab much at all), but I definitely know Julia! I just talked with Julia today actually! How interesting!!!
I think Megan got it right, money and video experts from the station. I think they even have people dedicated to the cam once nesting starts, don't they?
Right, and remember, if it wasn't for Steve and John and crew, we wouldn't even have this cam, it wasn't a fed. gov. priority, but a pet project for them cause they love the eagles, too. I think they may have gotten some funds from the Friends group at NCTC, and of course the Momsters group and my friend Beth- many of you know her- footed part of the bill last year for the live feed.
Donnie- have you seen this cam at Norfolk Botanical gardens? NBG eagle cam I know , it's ok to observe how great all these cams are, I am often jealous of how some are much better visually than ours, but I still love this one the best cause it's so close to my house. ANd I met all you guys cause of this cam.
those are the only two with eggs, so far, Danelle. Most of the other cams are up and running, just no eggs yet.
Some places will not have cams this year--Florida, Tesoro--no money. CC one nest moved, cam is down in the other and it doesn't look like they will repair it. Barton Cove nest tree blew over in a storm last year. They eagles moved to another existing nest, but the cam people didn't think to hook it up before nesting season.
Oklahoma cam is down for repairs, Kent is down for repairs since last June. Colorado was working, but is down today.
That is a good quality cam at NBG. I have to like the angle of NCTC though. I would never be able to get up in that tree and fix it. Heck, I can't hardly get to the top of the steps.. LOL. Oh.... If were all bouncing checks for the camera fund, I've got 1 or 2 to bounce that way. :x:
Danelle, it's a small world!! Christie has been on 12 hr. night shifts for several years, but just went to days this week. Stop in and say hi! Sissy, are any of the patients Aliens???? LOL!
NBG is cool cause it can move around, and zoom in and out, but I like the view into the nest ours has. If they can just work out the freezing issues and figure out how we can keep sound, I'd be real happy.
Hi! Just returned from CT & a Dr visit. Took my live feed longer then I expected to come up.. Must be a switch.. See a lot of hoping around in and out of the nest.
Paula - remember you used to see a white feather or spot on Belle's one shoulder. Do you see it this year?
The egg cup is really deep. She was practically standing on her head rolling the eggs. You can not see the eggs!
I wish they would turn the sound back on. I do not think it has improved any....still freezing up. With sound coming and going you know for sure when it is freezing.
Everything seems 'cool' right now... It's Tues - I bought some Mega Lotto tickets but as usual don't feel real lucky. Going to put my feet up for a while.. I've been running around too much for any one morning......
Egg turning at BWE!! Harbingerdc, I am just figuring all of this out too. Used to make fun of my sister, Sharon, and now I am worse than she ever was. Got cams all over 2 computers at the same time!!
I wish an eagle would fly here and eat every 'George' in my yard. I'm such a meanie, I know... Man, that nest cup has gotten deep, gonna be hard to see a 3rd egg if they have one.

they were not both there together for very long, Paula, I think the one that brought the food let the "rooster" eat first, so they were together briefly, then the food-bearer got to eat, then settled into the nest cup.
I wish something would keep the squirrels away in my yard. Then I turn around and worry about them when they tear across the road and I can hear a car coming!
Maybe the female (if that is who is eating) is getting ready to lay eggs. Knowing it's going to be very cold. So she is getting as much food supply in her as possible.
I VERY MUCH MISS THE LIVE FEED SOUND. John please bring it back....pretty please....with whip cream and cherries on top...also sprinkles if you want. ( :
Eggs in Maine are normally laid the beginning of March. Judy has her 2009 Info table up, but it is still a work in progress. I used it a lot last year, so helpful keeping all the nest dates correct.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious to me, Margy, duh. :( I read Sept. 2, 2003. It is one nest with two views. One cam is right on the nest tower the other is further back. I don't think the second cam is on the tower, does any one else remember.
By the time I watched Okla Eagles last year, they were perching on that metal bar over the water, so I won't be any help at all on that... It is a great nest view !
It is great to have the OK cam back and with the upclose cam. Last year it was damaged and they could not go up and fix it because of the eggs. All we had was the further away cam and it was interesting to watch.
When we had our hawk nest in the yard one day there was an interesting event. I was working in the yard and the hawk flew out of the tree with the nest with a squirrel it had just captured, it flew low over my head, (heavy load!) and the squirrel was screaming. Landed in a tree south of us and suddenly the squirrel quit screaming. I don't like squirrels as they go after our pecans but I felt sorry for that one.
The Great Backyard Bird Count is coming up. Any one can participate for any amount of time you wish to spend counting birds and you don't have to do it in your yard:
Just came in. Pulled weeds coming up under the fence. Then picked a bouquet of daffodils to bring inside. Now to exercise since I have NOT done it today!

Same as usual for me, like Mits said, jerky and often frozen pic.
Glo, left you a little note about my experience with a Mallard Duck..on your most recent Glo's Glimpses.

My live cam is doing pretty good today. Just a little jerky but no long freezed like yesterday.

eagle at BWE with fish
After Sandra was allowed to come home, Danielle went to her house and helped her there, too.
that should be BWO....with fish
That fish that BWE has is a doozy maroony...must be a 5 pounder.
You are correct, Helen. I made the same mistake too. BWE at BWO with fish:)
Thx Lynn, I've already goje out & looked & didn't see anything. If it shows up, OK, if not OK-ordered new ones.

Schools here had a two hour delay for less than an inch of snow....
Sorry, no offense meant to any McDonalds' fans...
I like the egg-MCmuffin:)
Bacon, egg, and cheese muffins are great....but that is all. A great place for kids to play.
I could almost see the eggs under. I'm on the edge of the chair looking... like thats going to help see underneth. Now settled down again.

I think McD's french fries are the best.
ha ha, what a converssation I've started...
Donnie, get of the chair and join the rest of us nuts... my family tells me that every time they see I have the cam up.
Eagle just flew in-both in nest. Brought fluff, I think.
There goes the eagle that was on the eggs, flew out to the right. Nice view of the eggs.
oh oh oh only 2 in the nest....
There are our beautiful eggs!!!
Beautiful shot at Norfolk too!
Video is so choppy!!!!
look how deep the cup is this time. Was it that deep last year? Really fluffy too.
did a refresh and it is a little bit better now
Mines choppy also. I thought it was just mine. Guess it's his turn, or that her?
I was made fun of a little bit, too, when I first joined this Blog. But after Capt. Eagle met all you ladies, he is just as interested in this blog as I am. He knows you all by your blog names and real names and where you are from. That makes me habby:)

I think Megan got it right, money and video experts from the station. I think they even have people dedicated to the cam once nesting starts, don't they?
what other cams are up and running now other than NCTC and blackwater?
I see camclickers doesn't have any active cams yet.
Well, then, if it is only money, I will write NCTC a check. Don't have any money but I have checks!!
Oh yeah, and I really ain't trying to dis our cam. I am so grateful for it, just amazes me the difference from location to location.
Donnie- have you seen this cam at Norfolk Botanical gardens? NBG eagle cam
I know , it's ok to observe how great all these cams are, I am often jealous of how some are much better visually than ours, but I still love this one the best cause it's so close to my house. ANd I met all you guys cause of this cam.

Oops, I though Donnie asked that question, not Danelle.
I have checks, too, I can bounce them right over to NCTC from here...lol....
Wow, Megan, that was very nice of your friend, Beth!
Yes, she is friends with a few of us on here, she lives very close to the nest, along the river and loves watching the eagles when she has time.
Just brought up live feed to see egg rolling....now frozen with eagle head in the cup!
Now it won't refresh...:(
My feed shows eagle on the nest cup.
I don't hit refresh anymore, but click on that live eagle cam! link on the cam page like Jo said she was doing, it comes up quicker for me.
I just luv restarting IE...NOT
Hey, I am typing for a hospital in Roswell, NM. Reckon I might type on a UFO!!??
Watch out for little green men, Sisssy.
Thanks floralgirl, I didn't have the one bookmarked. And thanks for the update Deb, that is sad news.
Just got my eagle fix for the day. TWO adults sitting beside the river-upstream. Couldn't get a pic--trees in the way.
The aliens in this Roswell hospital are the doctors!!!
Hahaha...too funny Sissy!
I made an Xmas present donation, but did it online w/credit card. Didn't bounce yet--LOL!
Good one, Sissy. What language do they speak???
Deb, congrats on your pics being chosen for the magazine article.
MT nest..can only see one of the eggs...well is getting deeper
Eagle cam back as I posted...
Hi! Just returned from CT & a Dr visit.
Took my live feed longer then I expected to come up.. Must be a switch.. See a lot of hoping around in and out of the nest.
Paula - remember you used to see a white feather or spot on Belle's one shoulder. Do you see it this year?
My cam is taking forever to refresh!
ok, now it's back.
The egg cup is really deep. She was practically standing on her head rolling the eggs. You can not see the eggs!
I wish they would turn the sound back on. I do not think it has improved any....still freezing up. With sound coming and going you know for sure when it is freezing.
i was just looking back. It is time for NBG to have an egg. Last year the first egg was Feb 2.
I want to see success at that nest this year. NO DRAMA!
Haven't really looked, Jo.
Eagle at BWO.
Whoa! Maine cam is really noisy today!
Is there a list somewhere of all the other cams people are talking about?
OK, time to go home! see ya'll tomorrow!
No, Harbingerdc, there is not a list but we share cams with each other.
Bye, Danelle
Here are some cam links Birdspeak
Harbingerdc Bookmark these
Link to Beakspeak-all cams listed
Eagle Information Table from 2008
Ho Ho Megan! You are so quick today!
lol
It is beautiful 'almost like spring' out today!
Oops, I meant Beakspeak, see Jo is right with me....
It was 85° in the gh- I've been inside most of the day, tho. Working on paperwork and seed orders still.
Thanks! You gave a better answer to Harbingerdc's question than I did.
Everything seems 'cool' right now...
It's Tues - I bought some Mega Lotto tickets but as usual don't feel real lucky.
Going to put my feet up for a while..
I've been running around too much for any one morning......
BBILW
Harbinger - I have most of the cams here...
http://www.eagletmomsters.com/links.html
Most are also on the momsters links page
Maine cam 1. Eagle still in nest don't know how it is staying. Wind blowing so hard.
Wowser, Ceil!
Ha, eagle in Manie is eating...no wonder!
Zoomed in!!
Looks like a squirrel...
OMG did you see that huge bite!
LOL think eagle is full now!
Never seen any of the cams that close.
Egg turning at BWE!! Harbingerdc, I am just figuring all of this out too. Used to make fun of my sister, Sharon, and now I am worse than she ever was. Got cams all over 2 computers at the same time!!
Too up close while it is eating. LOL
Juvie at BWO!
Squirrel tail would make good fluff in a nest!!!!
Eagle still eating a "George" in Maine
Just ask if you aren't sure what we are talking about, we have abbreviations for just about every site, so we can type faster.
Switch and bird eating in our nest
should get a good shot of the eggs soon
Looks like chow time in out nest, too, but nothing big!
Awww, poor George! :(
Snow is starting to come down now.
Hate to leave but have to go to the store.
I feel that way, too, Sharon. It is one thing to know they eat squirrels, another to see it up close and personal.
An adult must have chased away the juvie at BWO.
BRS says his load won't be ready till tonight. So he's out photographing Ft. Morgan. MTBR
taking turns eating, that's nice
Hi Hedgie..
I cannot say, but the one eating now is the one that brought the food in, the other was roosting, then ate,
eggs sure are buried deep in the well..
I only see one eating at our nest...
I wish an eagle would fly here and eat every 'George' in my yard. I'm such a meanie, I know...
Man, that nest cup has gotten deep, gonna be hard to see a 3rd egg if they have one.

I said...
Eagle back on eggs.
they were not both there together for very long, Paula, I think the one that brought the food let the "rooster" eat first, so they were together briefly, then the food-bearer got to eat, then settled into the nest cup.
Still attacking that squirrel in Maine!
I believe ya, Margy...I was just updating eagle nest status!
Love the up close in Maine...don't get a chance to see it too often!
I'd have missed it all if I had jumped over to Maine first...
that IS a rather impressive meal there....
I wish something would keep the squirrels away in my yard. Then I turn around and worry about them when they tear across the road and I can hear a car coming!
Wow, our roosting eagle looks all wrapped up in a fluff blanket, esp on the still image.
Juvie back at BWO.
I wish the Juvie would hang around a little bit longer, every time I see it, poof, gone.
Whichever Eagle in Maine that was chowing down this morning would not share with the second one, I haven't seen a second one try to approach this time
OOOH, the OK cams are back up!
Maybe the female (if that is who is eating) is getting ready to lay eggs. Knowing it's going to be very cold. So she is getting as much food supply in her as possible.
The dates say 09/03/2003, I assume that is incorrect. The time is close to correct.
Eagle Information Table
WOW look at that deep egg well on OK. I'm sure ours is that deep just the angle at OK to see it.
Oklahoma nest:
OK nest
This site has a warning that usually comes up with it, can't remember all the choices, but it seem like I hit "trust site" or something similar.
I can't get into the Kent Forum today, anyone else have that problem?
Thanks for the OK site, Deb, I guess it is year/month/day but is confusing when most sites are month/day/year.
Also, is this ONE nest with two views, or TWO nests with ONE view?
I hate to be lazy about, when I know I could read and find out about it.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious to me, Margy, duh. :( I read Sept. 2, 2003. It is one nest with two views. One cam is right on the nest tower the other is further back. I don't think the second cam is on the tower, does any one else remember.
It is same nest 2 views at OK
By the time I watched Okla Eagles last year, they were perching on that metal bar over the water, so I won't be any help at all on that...
It is a great nest view !
I guess Maine is about done for the night, sure that leftover squirrel will have some appeal in the morning, if a nest robber doesn't get it tonight
It is great to have the OK cam back and with the upclose cam. Last year it was damaged and they could not go up and fix it because of the eggs. All we had was the further away cam and it was interesting to watch.
OUR nest emtpy
On OK cams either one put your cursor on the left edge of nest...see what comes up.
Not anymore, once again, still is ahead of live feed
I can get to Kent forum Deb, but its very slow coming up.
RE-arranging the bed straw
With all that fluff, our Lib and Belle know that weather is coming!
Which ever eagle that is in the nest presently is busy building up the fluff and making the egg well even deeper.
LOL Eagle is almost buried.
Heading outside, it is too nice to stay in! BBL
Yes, it is looking very cozy and comfy there

The Great Backyard Bird Count is coming up. Any one can participate for any amount of time you wish to spend counting birds and you don't have to do it in your yard:

That's a Great Idea, Deb, sounds like a great way to spend Valentine's Day ♥
I don't mind the 30 second ahead of the live feed...kind of a heads up
I agree with you Paula...
That bird is HUGE
Just came in. Pulled weeds coming up under the fence. Then picked a bouquet of daffodils to bring inside. Now to exercise since I have NOT done it today!
Eagel sitting there quietly.
When do you suppose we can expect egg #3? Surely there will be three!
What??? you have daffodils blooming???
Disgusting, isn't it, Megan?
Oh, Lolly, how I wish my jonquils were blooming!!! How is your mouth? Better than this morning, I hope.
To say the least...I am sooo jealous...
daffodils - eat my heart out!!!
We won't see them for another month plus some! My most favorite spring flower.
Been talking with Laurel. She calls everyday after school. Yes, they are blooming and the tulips are beginning to peak up. Spring is coming!
Woke up this morning with a swollen upper lip. They really did me in yesterday. However, it is better..still feels a little funny.
I will take a picture of them and post it. They will be there for you!!!
Heading for sofa for some relaxing.
BBL.
I went outside and picked an old, brown, dried up zinnia stalk.... feel my pain....
Lolly....lips or Daffy's???? LOL!
I feel ya Megan.
Lolly, we want a pic of the swollen lip too!
