Wanted to see Marley and Me, but they just pulled it Thursday, so we saw Gran Torino...good movie.

Yes, they are Ceil. I had 3 pink roses for the kids, 5 red roses for the grandkids, and 2 white ones for the g-grandkids. I am going to preserve them for each of us.
I did an ooops on the arrangement...put it in downstairs fridge to keep it cold, but froze 2 of the flowers! At least they are in the back of the arrangement.

Snow should be gone from nest soon. Up to 48° here already...good breeze coming from SW. Belle sure has ruffled feathers!
When I first got back to the computer early this morning, I too thought I had seen two eggs...the birds had just going through a switch, I think. But then I am quite sure is was Belle and Belle only for the next four hours!
Liberty seemed to be close by the whole time but did not give her spot! Finally saw only the one egg...
and finally then went to bed..
So I have computer neck this morning :(

"pictures" - I zipped over to that site often during the wee hours..while waiting for Belle to move a feather or two...
sound, sounds really weird this a.m., like a light bulb sounds, right before it goes out, a buzzing noise in background.
I feel like I stayed a little too long at the fair... watching OUR nest this morning, but had been out all afternoon and will be today too...and when I thought I might have seen a second egg, even though I figured it was too soon for that..I was stuck...!

You should have seen me saying: Stand Up Belle, let me see! I was surprised at how long she roosted with no egg roll nor wiggling; she seemed to look up at the branch often and say, "Aren't you coming down Liberty ? "

I have a lot of respect for both teams this year, and my usual pick is the Chargers, but the Cards are out West here, and they are underdogs, so I'm picking them.
Besides, they've surprised everyone, including me, so far at the end of this season.....

Bird was standing, but then settled down--couldn't see anything. Very bright in nest.

Hi all! Diet started today. No more talk of food. LOL Norma will be disappointed, no sausage and homemade bread on Friday mornings. Well, not for a while anyway. Just did my exercise video, it is good. I did it for 15 minutes and my leg started cramping, will do more late. It definitely got my heart rate up!

Hi, everyone. I am home. We found the Snowy Owl again, but it was in a field today and didn't want to come close. We found the Long-eared Owls and one Saw-whet owl.
BWE is stretching out a wing.
BRS is still in the prairie land, I am trying to find the mountains in the distance.
Just came back & saw a sit down, wiggle wiggle, & rearranging fluff.
Hear that coughing sound---must be the other up on branch.
One more strike for Michael Phelps...and he's out....
I think that sound is coming from the transmisssion...I can't imagine our eagles continually making that sound

Deb, I am going to Dunkirk Harbor NY tomorrow to check out all of those ducks that have been reported. My friends say they have seen snowy owls there in the past.
The Snowy owl is beautiful. I had never seen one before. I sure hope you get to see one. The Saw-whet today was so cute, but it was tucked back in a pine tree, so we didn't get a view without branches.
It finally got to the high 30's today and the sun was shining all day. Some of the ice actually melted. I have piles on the sides of the driveway that won't melt till June, I'm afraid.
Do we expect another egg tomorrow??
I have a sharp-shinned in the front yard, going to see if I can get a picture outside.
Since I live near the STEELER NATION, I guess I had better cheer for them. Off now to fix supper..
