Good morning everyone.Must have been false labor or there;s one buried down there some where LOL. I checked her about 3:30 and she was up then too. Not a very restful night at that nest for soem reason. Keep an eagle eye.
Geez, I forgot all about this silly day- groundhog day...at my house no groundhog would ever have a chance to make a statement, but sorry, Phil Says "Six More Weeks of Winter!"
Morning everyone, that was what Suzanne sent out this morning, regardless of what the little varmint says, 6 weeks from now we will be closer to spring and osprey season:)
Today Cloudy. A slight chance of rain and snow this morning... then rain and snow likely this afternoon. Highs in the mid 40s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Good morning! Can you believe I am up and on this early. While the jubby's away the wife will play. No, I had to get up have a dentist appointment this morning. Yuk!
See there is still one egg. She was really restless last night...time for another egg!
Mits the last I heard the big storm coming up the coast is suppose to stay out to sea but the west storm is going to clobber the States over the mountain. Look out Belle.
Sissy were you watching the hummers this a.m., when the sun shines on them the colors are spectacular....and this is a cam in Ecuador, how do they do it?
I know Mits, I was watching. That is so beautiful. Funny how that cam is so clear from Ecuador and the one here in WV freezes and all that junk all the time!
Bob can now move his whole right foot on command! He had spasms that were driving him crazy and the Dr. said that was part of the heeling. Bob said, "I had a talk with God and told him I sure would like to have control of both legs and pretty soon I was able to move my whole foot"! You are all such good cheerleaders. Thanks for the prayers!!
I saw that, too. Now they have disappeared. I checked the forecast for Denver, 49 and partly cloudy today, 31 mostly cloudy tomorrow. No snow forecast.
Good Morning to All here on board and to all the lurkers out there! Great pic that Steve has posted for us! I also forgot about Punxsutawney Phil! Great commentary Suz sent us - thanks for posting Mits! I don't see that Ms Sunshine has her computer up/running yet.
According to his map he is in Denver, but I sure didn't see that he was that close when the cam went down. Some parts of CO have bad coverage. He uses Sprint Broadband, so must not have any coverage.
BRS SAYS:Remember! I am a moving object! If I lose signal or switch towers the camera may drop out. Just reload your page or check back in a few minutes
Great! LIVE FEED still has Lib Still Feed now has Belle. Refreshed Still Feed and Belle stayed on the egg cup Refreshed Live Feed and took a good minute or two to come back up BUT Lib had gone poof and there was our Belle.
I have been keeping both Still & Live cams up/running. It can get confusing as to Who is Where Doing What!
Honestly, live feed is driving me bonkers today, it keeps freezing and takes forever to come back up after refreshing. I bet I have refreshed over 50 times this morning.
It looks like our pair have left the egg alone...at least temporarily. At least they are still expecting more eggs, or they would be incubating this one full time.
Eagles are getting more active at the Channel Island nests. One in the PH nest a couple of minutes ago.
Kinda makes you wonder how a cam in the jungle of Ecuador or underwater in the Netherland Antilles has less problems and run smoother than one is a tree in West Virginia.
Monday, February 2 On January 23, we told you how we were starting to limit Lun Lun’s and Xi Lan’s access to the off-exhibit space during the day by giving them less off-exhibit den space. Well, the transition to being on exhibit full-time for young Xi Lan is moving along smoothly. Last week, we started giving Lun Lun and Xi Lan the dayroom with no access to off exhibit space for 45 minutes. We gradually increased the time in the dayroom, and over the weekend we expanded it to five hours. When Xi Lan is given access to the off-exhibit space after being in the dayroom exclusively, he seems to prefer the off-exhibit area. However, when he is on exhibit he has become comfortable enough in the area to curl up for short naps. It shouldn’t be long before he is totally comfortable in the dayroom and can spend the whole day out there. We will then have to start working on teaching him to shift, so that the dayroom can be cleaned throughout the day.
This is a good time to come see Xi Lan. He is practicing climbing and seems to be learning something new each day. At this time of year it’s fairly quiet at the giant panda exhibit. So, beat the spring crowds and come see Xi Lan and the rest of our giant panda family! Kate Roca Carnivore Keeper II

my live shows only one....you can go to Earthcam.com and go to London to see their snow, also interesting to watch the 24 hour archive during the storm

Just got my Live to come back on. Will Never Refresh Again! Can't turn that tab off when it's "not responding" w/out closing everything & have to start over.
Had my quickie lunch.. Looked better then our eagle couples'. Just saw an egg turning and then the wiggle wiggle and then pulling in of the fluff! Wind seems to be picking up.
Suz had gone home for the day knowing that she may run into some snow up at her home in PA.. She hopes to see us tomorrow.

Morning Sissy and Glo:)
Isnt' that just the most beautiful egg!
Morning Glo! They do seem very restless this morning.
Did I miss anything eggciting this weekend?
Good Morning All!
Thx, Steve! Great picture!!!☺
Hi, Sissy. Things were pretty normal all weekend I think. Babysitting of egg, switching of sitters, food brought in, some vocalizing....
Geez, I forgot all about this silly day- groundhog day...at my house no groundhog would ever have a chance to make a statement, but sorry, Phil Says "Six More Weeks of Winter!"
Morning all. Heard Phil said 6 more weeks of winter. Lets get that little varmint.
Phil Says "Six More Weeks of Winter!"
Phil's official forecast as read February 2nd, 2009 at sunrise at Gobbler's Knob:
Hear Ye Hear Ye
On Gobbler's Knob this glorious Groundhog Day, February 2nd, 2009
Punxsutawney Phil, Seer of Seers, Prognosticator of all Prognosticators
Awoke to the call of President Bill Cooper
And greeted his handlers, Ben Hughes and John Griffiths
After casting a joyful eye towards thousands of his faithful followers,
Phil proclaimed that his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers were World Champions one more time
And a bright sky above me
Showed my shadow beside me.
So 6 more weeks of winter it will be.
Morning everyone, that was what Suzanne sent out this morning, regardless of what the little varmint says, 6 weeks from now we will be closer to spring and osprey season:)

here they come again
There they go, can't imagine there is much liquid left for the birds.
Update on my uncle from my aunt:
Bob can now move his whole right foot on command! He had spasms that were driving him crazy and the Dr. said that was part of the heeling. Checking emails now - Jim sent one that is really great - Duck in a Truck!
Wonder if Big Rig Steve has any mascot riding with him?

BRS has a cat that rides with him....TK (truck kat)
Great! LIVE FEED still has Lib
Still Feed now has Belle.
Refreshed Still Feed and Belle stayed on the egg cup
Refreshed Live Feed and took a good minute or two to come back up BUT Lib had gone poof and there was our Belle.
I have been keeping both Still & Live cams up/running. It can get confusing as to Who is Where Doing What!

I'll keep my eyes open for his cat!
That is so cool......
Both in nest now-
Oh well, I was close!
Thank you Deb I will check out his photos - I guess I thought I saw an

Honestly, live feed is driving me bonkers today, it keeps freezing and takes forever to come back up after refreshing. I bet I have refreshed over 50 times this morning.
This cam thing is driving me nuts. Can't keep it running much at all. Have to restart every couple of minutes.
Eagle back, in egg cup.

I'm checking mail
Keep making comments
BRS pulling into a TS
HO, you don't wan to hear some of my comments:)
I refreshed again, I hear the daycare kiddies outside.
If I worked at that day care, them younguns would be outside all the time cause I would be watching the nest.
they do seem to be outside alot
Now who is going where to do what
It's really nice outside, just muddy. 46° and partly sunny.
It's nice outside this morning...gotta let the kids run off some energy, I'm sure

That was almost a 10 min break
How fast can an unhatched egg cool down?
BRS says.....Arrived in Denver, Colorado
Just waiting for late night appointment to deliver
I wouldn't worry, it is really warm out and it's tucked into all that fluff. They seem to be very capabale of taking care of their eggs.
I never worry about these two, they seem to have it together
I give up....not even trying the live feed any more today...don't need the frustration.
I hear ya, Paula..
I need to get something for lunch
Only had banana for breakfast..
Need to be in emails afterwards so

I been trying to get Sharon to have another one for a while, before her eggs dry up!!!!

I missed it somehow, but it looks like someone filled the hummer food pan in Equador.
That is exactly what I said awhile ago about this cam. One down yonder works perfectly!
Did somebody on this blog pray for patience??
Yep, I have had that hummer cam up for hours.
Suzanne saw them re-filling the feeder, with a big bucket
I must've been outside.
Egg roll.
Eagle just flew in-what is that it brought??
What did they bring for lunch?
looks like a cold cut sub...hold the peppers
Good afternoon. Been lurking while doing alot of other puting!!
LUNCHTIME in the nest....big something there.
eagle at CALTRAN
A fish, already half eaten? when she tears into it, you can see the gill separation.
burp:(
I'd say filet-o-fish....
Worst snow storm im London in 20 yrs. 6" blizzard....wonder if Chrissy is getting the same thing?
Other eagle just flew back in.
OMG, Sissy....after everything she's been thru', we don't want her to stretch out her tummy!!!
My still cam shows 2 eagles(saved it)--one eating, but Live shows 1. No one sitting on egg at moment
There was a car on the hummer cam. That was pretty strange.
Well, yeah, now maybe wouldn't be the best time for Sharon to have a baby, but still.....
A car???!!
There is one eagle in the nest eating, other flew out.
my live shows only one....you can go to Earthcam.com and go to London to see their snow, also interesting to watch the 24 hour archive during the storm
Time for lunch...no fishy for me!!
We are starting to get light precipitation in Bluefield.
You know, I would really hate for an eagle to look at me that way.
They definitely have a pretty intense stare.
The temp has dropped here 10 degrees in about 2 hours.
POOF on Still...
Eagle back in nest- onto egg.
Eggsitter back.
I have, what I believe to be the last bunch of Margy's photos posted on Wandas Wishes. Then, when we get MM photo of Margy on the platform at the train station, she has a few photos to go along with that.
Now it is snowing here.
Live feed has disapeared:(
Sissy, saw on news awhile ago that snow was in TN & Ken. & moving E, so you must be getting that.
My live feed and sound are up at this moment.
Wow, that wind is a-whipping!
She hopes to see us tomorrow.
ok, got it back, wind is gusting about 18 mph.
QUESTION: How do you manage your REFRESH
of the live cam?
I had always hit F5 and had to wait quite some time for it to come back up -
Just a few minutes ago I clicked into the
little brown box on the left with our 3 bobble heads and the refresh was almost immediate.
Sharon - I see lots of traffic in Bluefield and some snow flakes..
I hit the refresh button on my browser...I am using IE
Hope you all have been loyal momsters/dadsters and have checked out our HOME PAGE
Paula's update Home Page
We also have 2 new members (really old friends of mine for the past 2 years on the Kent Forum) You can always welcome them with an email!
And Jo, it didn't matter if I opened up a whole new page a little while ago...it still took 2 minutes for it to come on live
Well, shoot, I was using refresh, but the live eagle cam link does seem to bring it up quicker.
brought up live feed....and tried refresh like I always do...worked fine now...
Cam still freezing tho.
Looks like Belle(?) is settling back in for afternoon sitting. Leftovers in nest...fishskin? Yuck! Lib better come do KP duties!
Going to shut down for now and get started on my taxes. Don't like to have internet up when I am working on them. BBL!
