For the past 3 years, on New Year's Eve, Gene and I have a picnic dinner on the floor in front of the fireplace. Just can't party til the wee small hours anymore...get too sleepy. This year, the picnic will be same place, but not on the floor...couch feels better now:):)

I sent an email to Atlanta Zoo yesterday, and suggested they solicit contributions from viewers online. If everyone from around the world that watch little Luney, were asked to contribute a few dollars, I think they would be bombarded with donations. I asked them to just give us a chance. What could it hurt?

Jack and I are staying home tonight. Going to cook a delicious dinner and have a good bottle of wine. GA Tech is playing in a bowl game, so we will be watching it.

Back from visiting our friend in the nursing home and shopping to see I missed our eagles visit. BUT so glad to hear the good news about Paula's mother getting out of the hospital and into a nursing home. That isi GREAT NEWS PAULA!!!!!!

Spent some of my Christmas money....and what I bought came today!!! After hearing about Dana's Webkinz Eagle....I wanted one, too, so ordered it AND a Webkinz Panda...THey are so soft, and so cute!!!
Oh, what a shame! Forgot the limes! We NEVER run out of limes, I have some for you.
We just finished our dinner of tenderloin with Bleu cheese and having a bottle of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Will have a gin and tonic later. :)

I can remember watching that darn thing every year on black and white TV! And we'd wait for the color pictures in the San Diego Union, but the three major colors would be separate and smeared across half a page. Those were the days, Techies.

I am very happy to report that I saw the Celestial Fireworks on the way to work last night, Venus and the Moon high and bright, Jupiter and Mercury lower but beautifully paired. A 3-planet night, very nice! ☺
Saturn is out in the middle of the night and a little pale, but nice to see anyway, what planet isn't nice to see!
birdies have bailed from BWE.
Work was busy, especially after midnight. Some people just do not do well with alcohol !! Deputies made four arrests, but at least there were no big brawls.
I sure hope you folks enjoyed YOUR New Year's celebrations though.
I am so tired, headed for the feather pillows now.

good morning, everyone. It is warmer now than it got all day yesterday! Roger, Mary and I are off in search of a yellow-billed loon that somehow found its way to South Dakota. It is way away from its normal range of the west coast and Alaska.
