Good morning everyone. Awfully pretty sight in that nest right now. Lots to do today to clean up from yesterday and get ready for tomorrow. It will be nice to have a cam to glance at and enjoy as well. Well my feathered friend took off as I was typing.

Such a dreary day in Bluefield.
Morning all. Planning to stay home today so maybe the eagles will be visible on the cams today. I may have mentioned this but I am still excited about seeing THREE eagles in the 'feather' while looking for ducks on Sunday.
Yesterday I went on a bus day trip to Pittsburgh and the Phipps conservatory for the Christmas flower show. It was just beautiful. I never knew there were so many colors of amaryllis. Then we went to a light display at Hartwood--really fantastic.

Its great that the video and still cams stayed up through the lousy weather...
Very early this morning (like around 5 our time) I saw the male ring-necked pheasant at the Scottish wildlife site, then two red squirrels showed up and were playing ring around the feeder. Of course the pheasant left then.

Yes, Magpie, I am still working but only a few hours a day for now. Sissy is at mother-in-law's today. They told her they think she may have torn a ligament but it has started healing. Gave her a brace to wear.

Good morning, everyone. I just went and unburied the birdfeeder from the snow plow, not sure where I will put it so it is safe and birds can still use it. It is chilly, but headed to 19 today!

mating again at BWO
I was reading earlier that Microsoft is going to send a PATCH to fix the problem that IE7 users has been having. I have been having problems for quite awhile now and suddenly my 'puter is working like new. I wonder if I have been patched up automatically and that is what my problem has been all along. WHAT DO YOU THINK RED?? (knock on wood!)
just checked, doesn't look like that patch has come thru here yet, last update for IE7 and WXP was 12-10-08
I don't think the patch is out yet Wanda. I can't explain why suddenly your puter is running like new. Maybe someone has been using your computer and finally quit. I run IE version 6. If you have been using version 7 that could explain some of your problems. Version 7 had many problems.
Several Experts, including PC Magazine recommended uninstalling IE version 7 and going back to version 6. I did that and have not had any problems.
i've never really had any problems with IE7

I would get locked up several times daily. Also I could try to access a web site and it would sit there and search and search and finally say the site did not exist. But I could try again and find it the first time.
I knew I could find lots of sunshine once I signed on! GOOD MORNING!

Good afternoon friends. I am de-iced!! Finally.....terrible to be unable to get on when I want to!
Caught up on everything except momsters' mail....cookie dough is chilling, oven is preheating....Lun just carried our baby away, but he was UP ON HIS KNEES for a second before she toppled him over!! So much fun w/ Lun and lil Luney!!
Brief visit from me....gotta grab a bite to eat and then start baking....such a tedious process...can't leave kitchen for a minute when there's cookies in the oven!

Okay, I'm back. 6 dozen peanut butter cookies done! Still gotta clean up the mess, but needed to rest and catch up on you all!
Will mix up dough for my spice crisps later--it has to be fridged for 24 hrs. Youngest is doing my Spritz for me....just can't stir/beat that stiff dough anymore. I gave her the cookie press a couple of years ago, and she and her jubby do a great job! My grandma would be proud.

Sound is up, can't hear a thing...usually if I zoom in can see something moving...nothing here. probably have to shutdown, but not doing that tonight....
I talked with Steve. He said if one of the eagles was on top of cam. We would be seeing some part of it wings, etc. Because there is only about 6" for it to stand on.
He did say it could be on a nearby limb and the mic is picking it up. He is going to watch the comments for infomation on when we hear eagle at microphone. He is going to look through scope then to see what eagle is doing at or near cam.
