I'm going to the Ravens' game, Norma, we are season ticket holders..... we rained on your parade last week...tee-hee...that is what the owner gets for picking the Ravens,,,the NFL allowed him to pick who he wanted to play in the last game at their stadium...he picked the Ravens because he said it would be a sure victory for the Cowboys....he should have picked the Lions....lol
Jo I talked to Ceil yesterday, they are still stuck in Forest Grove, still can't really move around....they have no plows and they don't treat roads, so it is what it is....
MORNIN' PAULA!!---WOW!---Sounds as if you are having GREAT weather!!---We are having light rain & very windy!---ENJOY YOUR SPRING WEATHER! ho!---Good thoughts to your MOM!!
I googled Forest Grove OR They have a great New Year's Eve Bash! I wonder if they made it to St Anthony's for mass? But Mits are they still boarded on the train?

Good morning, eagle lovers. WHat a balmy day...63° here, breezy and cloudy. Nice to sit out and breathe in fresh air--with a coat, of course--pneumonia weather! Had my new camera, but nothing good to take a pic of! Lazy day is right! Norma, hope damage to your car wasn't too bad! You didn't stick around here for long!! Did you visit the nest??
Norma - Sorry to hear about the 4-way stop. It is a very treacherous intersection. I am glad you got to see Tom & Sandy! I had stopped by also and saw the pic of the new grandbaby! I hope you have wheels - or are you home already?
SKINS play San Fran this afternoon in SF. Hope Ravens win, Helen! And hope rain holds off until you get home! Margy had some good captures this am...first time I've seen the mating...cool!
Small bird at the WildWatch Osprey nest- that egg is still in there. Foggy looking at Lake WA Snow melting away from the owl's burrow. I guess Deb is out there counting all those birds!
I have been counting the days we have left to see our 'PRINCE XI'------He is just reaching his peak now!!!----Maybe I can talk SISSY into going to ATLALNTA & PICKET the ZOO!!---ho!----3 DAYS LEFT!!!
OH HEDGIE!!---The STATE OF WV is still celebrating!!--------We take our MOUNTAINEERS seriously!! I understand the BLUEFIELD CREW is so hoarse from cheering----they can't utter a word!!---ho!---KIDDIN'!
I just finished my wonderful video call to Germany! They are great & enjoying the holidays. Patrick will fly back to Iraq Thursday of this week. He doesn't feel that his tour will be shortened - 9 more months.
I bet DEB will record the highest number on the bird count! I went on one a few years ago with the local Audubon Society, around this time of year. You could count what you see, and what you hear if you were sure you were hearing it. Heard Robins and Meadowlarks in the winter, very nice. And that is when I saw my first Ruby Crowned Kinglet and Brown Creepers, and haven't seen them since!
Norma - Glad you made it to Norma's Roost okay...bummer about the car, hope the rental car you get will be zippy and swanky ! So glad you got to share your bubbly spirit with Tom and Sandra! ♥ ☺
Here is a Stoplight Story regarding Shepherdstown:
Many years ago, and I would have to say at least 30 years ago, there was a stop light at that four way intersection. But, rather than all sides being standard with red on top, orange in middle and green on bottom, two directions had that, and the opposite direction had the colors reversed, with red on bottom, and green on top...maybe to save money? Good good friend of mine was color blind! And he really had to pay attention coming through that intersection....
Just got back from drugstore & it was so dark thought I should check nest. What a treat! Out front of house, ONE tulip is poking out of the ground!!!It is mid 60's here! DUH
Dumb ???, but I'm trying to figure out the orientation of the cam view of the nest. On the road in front at NCTC, the big barn is left of tree. At what o'clock is the barn on our cam pic????
Poop! Was all frozen up here on the computer too...I have concluded that for some reason the IWS sites seem to slow everything down! Yahoo does too sometimes. Guess it is time to do some deleting...
Think I will clean things up before a possible next nest visit..then I will post some afternoon NCTC Eagle pics...
Thanks, Paula! Weather was so good today, I just wanted to get in car & go there & sit (or to the Park)! Jan. we start working weekdays again at Park, so maybe I'll see birds on TU AM.(HEAR THAT, BIRDS??) Our secretary sees them at 7:12 AM. She said 1 is usually in the nest & other in the tree!
Snowman live feed is frozen but the still cam is working... Last night late I saw a deer on the Okie Bird Cam...Now it is cardinals!
Caltrans - Margie and Loretta you are the 2 I think that can't pull this site up. If you get the QT screen up with no pics.. give it a few sec and then double click with your left mouse. I've been able to view both eagles there - the nest is getting active.
Mama oh, I mean, Mema - Okay - will try that with Caltrans...I know Deb had said to try to install Quiktime 7.5.5, might wait until I get off work tonight....(at midnight)
The Birds were calm and peaceful looking, just sent a few pictures out. Someday I will get a place on my profile page where I can post them and you all can see them more easily...someday...
No Moon for a few days, it is in New Moon phase....when it comes out, we will see some nice pairings again with Jupiter and Venus in the South/South West...
I haven't seen any Mason updates for a few days. The picture of Mason giving the Peace Symbol, was sent out on a Christmas Photo Card to some friends of mine in Shepherdstown, it is so beautiful!
Well, it is that time again, to get ready for work. Wish I could wear my pajamas to work like Sissy can!
January and February, I will be on dayshift... 6 am to 6 pm. Now, That will be different !
Have a good Sunday evening all, hope it is warm, and friendly. Will look to see all the new photos later on, maybe from Deb, and Bob, and Glo....and ? others...
Jo, my appetite is slowly creeping back (unfortunately). Had soup for breakfast and Shrimp and mac and cheese for supper. Staying down pretty well! I have been a bit of a lurker for a few days. I can't seem to type write or right or wright?
I had been able to get Caltran, but just a while ago, was told I needed to install a new version of QT and needed to do a scan first, with the offer of a FREE spyware??? I'm going to crawl back into bed:(
Ho Ho! Missed them again! I was running the Spybot Search & Destroy to clean up this computer. I had NO errors to be reported. Now I don't know what this computer does what it does some of the time.!
Hi Megan! My large wreath which I hung inside the house -- it is still fresh and not a needle has dropped. You make very healthy wreaths, Gal! Saw my Big Pool daughter's bittersweet wreath at her house that you made! Looked great!
I read somewhere that Bob posted some Christmas photos of his Kitties, but couldn't find the comment or Bob's avatar to have a look-see. So, I typed in Bob Quinn...searched and this is what I got:
Bob Quinn See exclusive Bob Quinn photos and the latest movie clips and trailers, ... Overview: A Navy photographer and his three-man team occupy a Tokyo geisha house ... www.reelzchannel.com/person/267831/bob-quinn - Cached BAD, BAD, BOB!!
Good pic on Pook's cam Could be a cow & calf OR a Bull (without antlers) & cow Don't know how Pook gets to the feeders when they lay right there at them.
Yes, Wanda!Sent him my email Xmas message & he replied w/kitty Xmas. Looks just like our house! Son & DIL in TN gave us a lovely sheepskin-like throw. I had it folded in it's box near Xmas tree. Big Binky is using it as her new bed!!! Think I should send them a pic?(she hates animals-is afraid of our cat!) TEE HEE
That is funny, Loretta:):) I think I would refrain from sending photo. But....if you get angry at DIL, what a great way to get her goat!! (Sorry, you know I'm just kidding)
OK, I just spent the last 20 minutes downloading a new QT and went back to Caltran and this is what I found: COME BACK AND VISIT DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS. LMBO! I can't win...I'll catch them tomorrow;)
This is a sentence in a message placed on Mason's site by his gmother Chris- " Then yesterday, as I was working with your mom, you dad called to say you made your first attempt at talking!" No new post by Brian and sylvia yet- just found that in her message- :):):):) keep your fingers crossed ,light the candles, pray, sing, dance, think positive, whatever it is you do...
Gotta remind ourselves (myself) to watch Little Luney tomorrow!!!Will be the last week live!! Boo Hoo I think we should go to Atlanta! I just saw ad on TV for SW Airlines---great deals to all over from $49-$149!!!!
Deb, I bet you're pooped. I think the Xmas bird count is done everywhere.? I know we've done it at the Park before. Didn't get a call this year to help & it was gorgeous weather (except cloudy).
Dogs are fed, our day started at 6 AM looking for owls. Of course it is still dark but you play their call and listen to see if they answer. At first I was thinking, what fun could this be, but when you hear the owls answering in the dark, it is cool. We did see one screech owl and one Great horned owl. The screech sat about 5 feet from the car waiting to hear the Ipod again.
We saw 43 different kinds of birds, not bad considering all the gulls and a lot of different kinds of ducks left during the cold spell. There were thousands of gulls 2 weeks ago and today we didn't find one. The highlight was a black crowned Night-Heron. That was a surprise. We saw it while the whole group was having lunch so everyone got to see it.
Oh, I forgot to tell you that when the sun came up the world sparkled! Everywhere you looked, weeds, grass, fences and trees were sparkling. With the warmer temps there is moisture in the air, at night it freezes on what ever is around.
Sounds like a fun day, Deb. Yeah, SKins didn't pull it out....arghhhh is right, Loretta. Glad the season is over...better luck next year. Ravens "done good"!! Sorry Lolly and Norma...Dallas got beat up!!! Rah! Watched a good movie today--bit of a tear jerker--P.S.I Love You, with Hilary Swank, Kathy Bates and Harry Connick, Jr. Catch it if you can...on MAX a few times this week. Heading for tub...BBL!
Deb, I loved hearing about your day. I sent all your comments to my oldest grandson who is studying Environmental Science. He has been Calling In birds since he was 8 or 9 years old. He would love to chat with you, I'm sure! I may have told you about him...he incubates and hatches orphaned eggs of all kinds (birds, no reptiles).
Well the day was successful but awfully quiet. I now have laryngitis.....I did get the Mucinex and will take the second pill and head to bed soon. Got some nice eagle pictures too will post them tomorrow sometime. Magpie I love the story about the stoplights in Shepherdstown 30 years ago thats a great one.
Speaking of propping up feet and pretty much calling it a day that would be me. Good Night all.

Small bird at the WildWatch Osprey nest- that egg is still in there.
Foggy looking at Lake WA
Snow melting away from the owl's burrow.
I guess Deb is out there counting all those birds!
I know the town probably does not want it, but they should have a light there, people don't know the 4-way rule, or they know it, but ignore it.
Glo, glad you are feeling better. Mucinex is a must have in the medicine cab....most Drs. recommend it now.
SDZ---GAO--GAO---is always on!!---I am dying to see our BEAUTIFUL little PRECIOUS!!!
Lynn, my philosophy on football is like hubbys',"it is what it is", I have too many important things to worry and care about in this life.
Mucinex-DM is great!
Don't Worry
BE HAPPY
Where oh where are our Bluefield gals?
Helen, they put a light there once...it didn't last very long...I can't remember the reason they took it down! Someone needs to ask Sandra.
The streets and the roof tops in Bluefield are free of snow - The gals
must be out and about.
WVU win celebration probably still going on in Bluefield!!!

Norma, Sissy DID say that TOm, Mattie and Justin were so hoarse that they couldn't talk when they got home!!!

So good to "see" everyomne. and read all the News.
And I am obviously not ready to type correctly yet !
Nice Moose resting in the snow, so big, maybe it is the Bull that shed its antlers.
I bet DEB will record the highest number on the bird count! I went on one a few years ago with the local Audubon Society, around this time of year. Out front of house, ONE tulip is poking out of the ground!!!It is mid 60's here! DUH
This AM, Fubby said it felt like FL here!
Margy, thx for saving this AMs eagle pics!
Dumb ???, but I'm trying to figure out the orientation of the cam view of the nest.
On the road in front at NCTC, the big barn is left of tree.
At what o'clock is the barn on our cam pic????
Nature - it is perpindcular to the barn that you see....right behind the small limb at 9ish....in the very upper left corner of the cam pic...
The view has only been rotated 2 hours so to speak...
2 hours to the right, so to speak..
At 11 o'clock on cam, is a low looking white bldg. Could that be the barn? Looks like a chicken coop to me LOL ☺

Night light is on at BW....I wonder if Bob got some good pics. The sunset up here in the valley was very colorful!
I just pulled up the cam page and one was there- then the other flew in-
Looks like bad news for the Live Feed:(
Yeah- looks like it just went kaput for some reason.....

Those Redskins can make you say ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
Sorry Dallas fans---they got trounced Big Time.
Loretta, did you see Bob's Christmas Kitties? Gotta love a man who loves kitties enough to let them star in a Christmas Album:)
Time for TV and propping up feet.
This is a sentence in a message placed on Mason's site by his gmother Chris- " Then yesterday, as I was working with your mom, you dad called to say you made your first attempt at talking!"
No new post by Brian and sylvia yet- just found that in her message- :):):):) keep your fingers crossed ,light the candles, pray, sing, dance, think positive, whatever it is you do...
I am home and wore out. Have to feed the dogs, then I'll tell you about the CBC.
Gotta remind ourselves (myself) to watch Little Luney tomorrow!!!Will be the last week live!! Boo Hoo
I think we should go to Atlanta! I just saw ad on TV for SW Airlines---great deals to all over from $49-$149!!!!
WOW, Megan, that sounds wonderful!
Deb, I bet you're pooped. I think the Xmas bird count is done everywhere.? I know we've done it at the Park before. Didn't get a call this year to help & it was gorgeous weather (except cloudy).
Darn, can't get any New Years pics to move...
I heard that was a good movie Lynn. I watched The Lakehouse last night w/ Keanu Reaves and Sandra Bullock...pretty good
Bet that was fun trying to get the owls to hoot.

Jim
Deb, I loved hearing about your day. I sent all your comments to my oldest grandson who is studying Environmental Science. He has been Calling In birds since he was 8 or 9 years old. He would love to chat with you, I'm sure! I may have told you about him...he incubates and hatches orphaned eggs of all kinds (birds, no reptiles).
Good Night, Jim...HAPPY NEW YEAR to you too!
