GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!---GORGEOUS SUNNY -- COLD! -- MORNING here in the WV HILLS---26° but forecast to warm up today!!---Oh DEB! hope you forecast is wrong too!!--They have predicated SNOW for us most every other day!---Some day it will happen?---HEY DANA!--Heard you yelling EAGLES--EAGLES!----Gone when I finally got there!! ho!---PRAYERS for all who are in need!!---PAULA -- wonderful your MOTHER is feeling better!!!--
Good Morning, Norma, and everyone else who is on the old thread. The wind started in about 2:30, Norma. I looked out this morning and thought, oh good, they were wrong. When I checked the radar, it is just now hitting Yankton, about 25 miles away.
WHOA!!---Just read that 'LITTLE PRINCE XI' has 'pooped' on his own for the 1st time & the STICKY POO has to be cleaned up by the workers!!----UGH!--UGH!----SISSY did you know that comes with that little PANDA you are yearning for?? Ho!!
BRRR, windchill is -26. I just looked at the radar, Norma, and it does look like ND is getting pounded. I always try to find the bright side, windchill in Buffalo, SD, is -45.
Good Sunday Morning Everyone! I am up, dressed and raring to go to Market! Deb, the sunshine is beautiful here today. Probably by mid week we'll get what you're getting today. Stay Warm & Dry!!! I'll be in touch upon my return from Shepherdstown - Aaron is coming with me. Paula that is the bestest news about your mom's eating being back to normal!
Morning, fowl friends! Beautiful sunny, chilly AM here. Paula, so glad your mom is improving quickly! Nest looks great, doesn't it? Sad/bad news: another kamikaze squirrel bit the dust--er--ash--in my wood stove. Should have had the thing fired up, but too much effort when not feeling good...argh!!! Think I'm going to have to re-screen top of chimney...don't like to because it increases creosote build-up, but...
I have almost toasted some mice in my grill. I fired it up one time and the little guy took a flying leap out the bottom! I check all the time for mice in the grill now.
Yes, Paula, feel a lot better than I did this time last week! Dumb squirrels (this is the 2nd one) apparently come down the chimney and work their way into woodstove and then can't figure their way back out through the baffle and frenzy themselves to death, probably asphyxiating on the ashes that they pulverize in their frenzy! My clue both times is the finest ash sifting all over the outside of the door and hearth!
Paula so glad your mom is doing better. The mice are having a buffet. Lynn the squirrels around here are pretty dumb. Watched one this morning after my husband put out nuts. It could not figure out how to get into my yard. Almost went out and opened the gate for it. It had a white face. Very pretty but dumb.
MORNIN' CEIL & SEAL!!---You folks will be traveling again!!---COOL!!check the "NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC SITE"---Breeding WHITE LIONS---watch the video!!---(READ THE UPDATE TOO)--Very interesting & of course they are ADORABLE!!--
We didn't get the trach removed, Mason was a little congested after the second night, so we will try again. Thats the way it goes. It is not a step back, but it will be nice to get that step forward when it happens. It has been a relatively quiet weekend, Grandma, Suzanne and the dogs are up, so its not that quiet. Mason is keeping consistent with the commands and therapy is good. He is holding his head up a lot better and trying to reach for things, those muscles can be a bit stronger to help. Storm, (the tree guy) and my cousin Tommy will be by today. We are searching for another place to stay, since we can't stay here any longer, lease is up. They won't find anybody as cool as us though. Love to all from Paoli. Brian, Syl, Mason and Granma
There was a macaw on the cam just now. I think that is what it was, but I will have to check and relearn the birds there. My picture keeps freezing, then it will be okay again for awhile.
Happy Sunny Sunday Everyone!!! Glad to hear Paula's Mom is getting better. Hope all our other ailing Buds are feeling better too.
Thx Deb for reminder on Ecuador---just saw a toucan in the fruit feeder. COOL Have a small problem like Lynn---put my big wreath in picture window & wanted to hang small lighted globe in the middle. Found it's box---MT!!!I am not going thru the whole downstairs Xmas closet looking for it now!Really will wrap presents today!!!At least those that get mailed---I hope!
NATURENUT!!---I have a 'CHRISTMAS FAIRY' at my house for a long time!!!----Have opened several boxes over the years --- the 'CF' had been there first!!!--- CURSES!!
NATURENUT!!---You granddaughter had the wedding of my DREAMS!---when I was a teenager---I thought a military wedding would be the COOLEST!-----What a HANDSOME COUPLE!!!
"We had the pups out and about yesterday (Dec 13th) since the weather held out for us. Leash training continues to improve with all. They had a chance to meet both adult and children on bikes, saw their first tricycle, watched a volleyball game, romped on grass, sand and wood chips and had no problems being close to a really loud soccer game. They even had some time in a large enclosed dog park to run around together at full speed. They did really good with everyone that came up to meet them and were very bold in their new environments.
We will be taking Aki and Amaya to their new homes just prior to Xmas. Since we will be travelling that direction to see family for the holidays it works out well for all involved."
Good Afternoon! I have returned from Market with a huge window wreath from Megan with beautiful red bow. Can't decide whether to hang outside or inside... with artificial tree the wreath would bring the smell of Christmas inside... The town was sorta calm.
Aaron, my sidekick for the day, and I ate at Betty's and I had the Bacon. It was delicious. The hotcake was huge and so we split it. Our waitress remembers some of you when we had open house as taking you to her home and I bet it was Anne Marie or Helen. Then we said we couldn't leave Shepherdstown without stopping for a quick hello to Sandra & Tom! I am so glad we did - They are doing well and they are such a loving pair! Aaron removed the front porch pumpkin around to the compose pile as Megan had decorated the side entrance with bittersweet & holly. It was a good day and a 48° temp made it extra enjoyable.
No, I won't. I forgot eggs at the grocery store yesterday, but I think they can wait until the wind goes down. I could be baking today. :( If my throat didn't hurt and I had a voice, I might venture out to the store.
Wow, I decided to check cam just at the right time! Thx Lib & Belle!!
I am wrapping & boxing 10 bags of crab chips to go to TX!!!They can't find any there. Both kitties have been in box--they want to go too!Maybe I can find a big box to send ME!!!
hey Paula, I have been panda napping and decorating, more napping then decorating, hubby and I both went to mass at noon, and it plum wore me out.....but I think things are looking up, had some rye toast today:), and a tuna sandwich with chips, I'm craving salt.
Paula, I pray that your Mom will recover as nicely as GeeGee did. She went to the mall yesterday and bought some robes and nighties and slippers for my grandaughter (her GGrandaughter...thus, the name GeeGee) who is going to have surgery next month. Just on the spur of the moment, she decided she needed to do that. She got some beauties for half price. She then stopped in at Wal-Mart (Meagan's favorite store) and bought a pound of freshly cooked chicken livers and proceeded to eat them all the way home. This is the lady who went for months without eating nothing but soup and baby food :):):) I pray that this new lease on life will last for a long time. So, you see, Paula, there is hope. Hang in there girl.
Well been watching cam and being blown by the wind is "spidey's web". I think my words before the 1st trip up the tree was "spidey has to be annihilated in order for no new web". :(
Glad Deb posted the puppy update as the 2 will be traveling to their new homes right before Christmas as it is in line of their travel home for the holidays.
I am not a fan of fried chicken livers, but there are sure a lot of people who are. Vikes won today, CBS is back on Dish so I get to watch Survivor tonight and my throat quit hurting. What a good last hour!
Not deep at all, we aren't supposed to get much snow, although it is hard to see the neighbor's house right now. It will be the drifting out in the country that will be bad.
well no video sorry just one quick leg coming off the top right area. did watch closely for a bit after that to capture but got busy then with a different project,
Deb, my oldest daughter doesn't like ANY kind of liver. When she was a baby, I tried giving her baby food liver and she literally shook all over and spit it out. She did this every time I tried after that, so never gave her anymore. To this day she will not eat it. Gene and I and her sister all LOVE it. Funny.
DEB...who would you like to see win Survivor? I think Bob could really use the money. I love the AFTER SHOW, usually a lot of laughs. My favorite "after show" was when Rupert (the bearded guy) was on. That also was my favorite Survivor show. DON'T FORGET TO WATCH! DON'T FALL ASLEEP NOW OR YOU'LL MISS IT!
Well Sharon, I learned to like liver when my Mom told me it was GOOD for me. I always tried to eat the foods that are good for you. NOW, they say organ foods are full of cholesteral and so am I...so, I don't have it very often.
We must remember Spidey probably has a job. Maybe eats things like "lice" that could be on the eagles. Remember how the baby falcons at PA had to be dusted for them. I don't think Spidey ever left. He could have hid anywhere within the nest. Or in some crack within the parts of cam or anywhere.
Good evening eagle watchers. So glad you got to watch a visit today. I missed it. I now have all my wrapping complete. Going shopping tomorrow and hope to tie up loose ends. Then I can bake Tuesday. I will then have Wed and Thurs to get ready for NYC!!!Bought groceries today, but I am sure I will need something else right in the middle of baking. Does NOT feel like Christmas. It is 68!!! Supposed to get cooler tonight.
Sounds as though your week is well planned out, Lolly. I know what you mean when you say it is easy to forgot one ingredient from the store that stops you from completing the baking! I am sure you are getting excited about the NYC trip!
Yes, Jo, I am very excited. Trying to get a lot accomplished this week 'cause when I get back I won't have much time and everyone is going to be here for Christmas. I am always so busy before Christmas. It is going to be really strange to take three days just for me. Wow!
Evening all. My Skins let me down...again. Boo. Will be glad when this disappointing 2nd half of season is OVER! Survivor starting....hoping that Bob wins. Just caught up w/ Primo moose...can't believe he shed his antlers already. What I wouldn't give to have those trophies! Pook is so lucky. Had some excitement not long after dark. Neighbors dogs were carrying on terribly...sounded like they were killing each other...and it kept on and on. He wasn't home...I finally called 911 and asked for animal control to check it out. Took almost an hour for them to come, along w/ a deputy. Don't know what the outcome was...maybe Margy will be able to find out when she goes in tonight.
Saw pretty little birds playing in our stream today. Think they were Western Flycatchers. Not supposed to be in our area. Guess that is why we have never seen them before.
Checking in and checking out...just read through today's comments only, sounds like you folks had some fun and busy times today. Great that Mema and Aaron were able to visit Tom and Sandra, sure that means the world to them.
I've been up since 2:30 Saturday afternoon..worked, got ready for party, had party,(for Grandson) laughed and loved...and now it is time for pillows and blankies...no 911 stuff for me for a few days. ☺
Spiders are cold blooded and therefore do not like cold weather. In the winter they either die or hibernate. I DO NOT think Spidey will be back till springtime. What we are seeing is something else.
In theory I agree with you, Red. However, today when I went to dump ashes into the barrel, there was a spider crawling on the rim! Temp was in the 40's...teens overnight..can they unthaw (unhibernate) that fast?
I have plenty of hope for my Mom, it's just going to be a long recovery. She is doing good today, spoke to her Dr today, and Mom too. She sounded good. Will see her tomorrow.
We have a new Riffe in the family. He was born at 10:07 last night, Denver Elijah Riffe. His lungs are quite developed and they had to send him to Roanoke with a breathing tube. Said they will put some kind of "sealant" on his lungs to help them hold air better. Bless his little heart. So, once again, the Riffe family needs prayers!! He was about 3 weeks early but he weighs 6 lb. 5 oz. so he isn't tiny.

Yellowstone looks wicked too.
DEB---What kind of heat do you have?---

Norma, I can't wait for the Bonaire cam to be back up and see the people swimming by!
Remember the humming bird cam in Ecuador. It is finally back up.
Woodland Trust
Never mind the cam is frozen, but at least progress is being made.
Ok, it is not frozen any more, those hummers are zipping all over the place!
Good morning everyone.
DEB!---That is so exciting to watch all those 'flitty' birds!!--!Aren't they COOL?

Eagle at BWE! They were both there when I came in the room.
No snow in Bluefield since Friday night, Normabyrd. Just melted today though.

BWE trying out the egg cup!
Going to kick up my feet for a puppy nap or a panda nap! Whichever!
I feel really good! I love people!
Jo, I was hoping it would warm up some today, windchill is now -27. It is not a nice day. Snow finally hit here, but it won't be much.
Two toucans on the hummer page.
Jo, the waitress there talked about Anne Marie and her Bro and SIL when I was there as well...nice gal.
Deb, guess you won't be venturing outside today :):)
No, I won't. I forgot eggs at the grocery store yesterday, but I think they can wait until the wind goes down. I could be baking today. :( If my throat didn't hurt and I had a voice, I might venture out to the store.
Sore throats are nasty. I always end up alternating between hot and cold stuff and throat drops to soothe it.
It's windy at the nest, but nice out today...hope we get an evening visit....
back out to work on the lights...
eagle has landed our nest!!
EAGLE ALERT, OUR NEST!
Looka like Lib
I think he brought in a stick...not quite sure.
That's what I thought, too.
But was moving sticks!
Was that a cough or a sneeze? I wish we could rewind!
Kind of a cough...or spitooey!
Looking out at noonish
There is just a hint of yellow in the beak.
Now just facing towards cam...glancing to the right...Hmmm now facing right
Now both!
Incoming!!
From the right
Just glided right in on the wind.
Now they are both digging in the nest bowl
Now both together, I think that was Belle in first...have to get used to this new angle
Lots of beaking!!
Beaking!!
Off goes Lib.
Working on stick at the back...one moves it, the other helps....now off the back for Lib
1 POOF!
Off the launch pad...end of visit very choppy video here..
2nd POOF
I refreshed and it's better now...
Deb, you agree that was Belle in first then?
That was great. Cam is going to be perfect for watching. I just happen to come in and there they were but you guys were watching already.
I think so, the angle is very different. If I hadn't seen the second fly-in, I would have sworn it was Lib.
Thanks, Deb.
OK, got one more bush to finish....
I am going to lay down for awhile and watch the Vikes.
Wow, I decided to check cam just at the right time! Thx Lib & Belle!!
I am wrapping & boxing 10 bags of crab chips to go to TX!!!They can't find any there. Both kitties have been in box--they want to go too!Maybe I can find a big box to send ME!!!
The Red(dead)skins lost---watching some others while wrapping.
BBL
Well I am not even going to say what I think I saw on the cam just about 5 mins ago. Only one leg but....mtbr
Hope you'll have a video for us to view, Glo because I missed whoever you and Loretta saw in that nest....
Beautiful pair of cardinals on the Okie Bird Cam in OK
Not much else going on with the cams
right now - There is a white tailed deer approaching the feeders on the moose cam.
Time for dinner in MD
Mits - are you feeling bad? Haven't heard from you since this morning..
So Glo, why can't you say what you saw on our cam?
Glo, could you be speaking of Spidey????
hey Paula, I have been panda napping and decorating, more napping then decorating, hubby and I both went to mass at noon, and it plum wore me out.....but I think things are looking up, had some rye toast today:), and a tuna sandwich with chips, I'm craving salt.
all I have seen is some loose material to the right of the cam, like string
how is Mom today, Paula?
OH NO, MR. BILL...More loose tape?
Maybe we ought to solicite some BIG camera companies for a donation of a camera mount;)
guess they can go with elephant tape, if the gorilla tape doesn't work
Paula, I pray that your Mom will recover as nicely as GeeGee did. She went to the mall yesterday and bought some robes and nighties and slippers for my grandaughter (her GGrandaughter...thus, the name GeeGee) who is going to have surgery next month. Just on the spur of the moment, she decided she needed to do that. She got some beauties for half price. This is the lady who went for months without eating nothing but soup and baby food :):):) I pray that this new lease on life will last for a long time.
So, you see, Paula, there is hope.
Hang in there girl.
LMBO, Helen!
Well been watching cam and being blown by the wind is "spidey's web". I think my words before the 1st trip up the tree was "spidey has to be annihilated in order for no new web". :(
At 5:13 Loretta saw Lib & Belle.
I don't want to disturb anyone but
sure does look like the beginning of
a web to me.
Man Wanda - now you have me craving some fried chicken livers....Love Them
Glad Deb posted the puppy update as the 2 will be traveling to their new homes right before Christmas as it is in line of their travel home for the holidays.
I am not a fan of fried chicken livers, but there are sure a lot of people who are. Vikes won today, CBS is back on Dish so I get to watch Survivor tonight and my throat quit hurting. What a good last hour!
Some deer moving in on the snowman cam
PA woods are empty
3 puppies are up and about
All WA State cams show the snowfall
Lake WA Eagle, Burrowing owls and Osprey nest
3 moose are bedded down in the snow
They really love it!
Hey Deb How Deep is it now?
Eagle Eye Sharon you are right on.
Not deep at all, we aren't supposed to get much snow, although it is hard to see the neighbor's house right now. It will be the drifting out in the country that will be bad.
well no video sorry just one quick leg coming off the top right area. did watch closely for a bit after that to capture but got busy then with a different project,
Yepper! I think that
BORRIS HAS RETURNED - but did he ever
really leave? lol
Funny.
There is a dusting of snow in the LW nest, or maybe it is white feathers?
I don't think Boris has left. We should have instructed Nu to thoroughly clean around the cam about 10 feet in every direction! :) ☺
Sounds as thought your day has had a turn around for the better, Deb!
Hope the sore throat is completley gone.
We have to ask Nu what he did with Spidey. It could be his ghost coming back to haunt us;);)
Liver, in my opinion, is really nasty!
Well he could be like the black sheep of the family and therefore is a part of that nesthome. Here we we bidding him such a fond adieu :( !!!!
I am routing for Bob, too. If he doesn't get it, I would be okay with Sugar, she played a smart game, but isn't my favorite.
Yes, Sugar played hard and smart. If the one that I would like to win, doesn't, I like to see the one who played the hardest win.
Deb so glad you will get to watch Survivor while it is being shown. I too wish "Bob" would win.
You are right, DANA...that is why I think we should ask Nu if he "did away with Spidey".
It could be one of Spidey's offspring..or even MRS. SPIDEY;)
Going to watch TV.
Lolly my dr and his wife go to NYC each year around Christmas time. They love seeing the Rockettes. Then they will see some plays.
Survivor coming on 2 hrs.
Just finished supper, Jack grilled some brats.
Dana, don't forget the reunion show is on after the 2 hr. finale!
Saw pretty little birds playing in our stream today. Think they were Western Flycatchers. Not supposed to be in our area. Guess that is why we have never seen them before.
Has anyone heard what the significance of the 45-record adaptor that Sugar wears as a necklace is?
Checking in and checking out...just read through today's comments only, sounds like you folks had some fun and busy times today.
Great that Mema and Aaron were able to visit Tom and Sandra, sure that means the world to them.
I've been up since 2:30 Saturday afternoon..worked, got ready for party, had party,(for Grandson) laughed and loved...and now it is time for pillows and blankies...no 911 stuff for me for a few days. ☺
Peace, Love and Prayers for all xo ☺ ♥
See you in the morning, Margie.
Sleep in!!
Lynn, I have wondered about the necklace also??
Closing down for this evening
Good Night Everyone
Peace to you & yours
Prayers for everyone's needs being said
(((hugs))) ♥
YEAH BOB!
Spiders are cold blooded and therefore do not like cold weather. In the winter they either die or hibernate. I DO NOT think Spidey will be back till springtime. What we are seeing is something else.
I second that, Wanda, YEAh, BOB!
Well, Sugar isn't wearing the neecklace anymore...Yea! Bob won. Those jurors were sure a bunch of vindictive, sore-head losers----JMHO.
In theory I agree with you, Red. However, today when I went to dump ashes into the barrel, there was a spider crawling on the rim! Temp was in the 40's...teens overnight..can they unthaw (unhibernate) that fast?
Evening, all.
Glad to hear some of us are on the mend!
Got a couple of flower bed cleaned out, so I could put lights around the bushes. Got bushes all done, plus around the door.
Got all inside decorations up, now only have to do tree! YAY.
Wanda, so glad to hear about GG.
I have plenty of hope for my Mom, it's just going to be a long recovery. She is doing good today, spoke to her Dr today, and Mom too. She sounded good. Will see her tomorrow.
I missed the skins game....
Paula, dear, you didn't miss a thing except frustration!!!
As we have learned through the years, the Skins are often their own worst enemy!!! I'm still a die-hard fan, but sure can get mad at them!
I saw they were losing...but didn't get to see much...listening to the recap now...and I agree, Skins beat themselves!
Gonna hit the hay, catch ya'll tomorrow.
Me, too. Pleasant dreams! Prayers for all.
Next Survivor is in Brazil, that should be pretty.
I know how you guys feel about the Redskins, the Vikings usually do the same thing.
Night all!
WOW, Bob was a DOUBLE winner!
Good for him! Great show, really enjoyed it.
Bedtime now.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS
GOOD MONDAY A.M. EVERYONE...
BONNAIRE UNDERWATER CAM IS WORKING AGAIN
was just watching the Ecuador hummer cam and someone just threw a whole bunch of bananas on the platform feeder
there were some huge birds eating the bananas at the hummer feeder.
Good morning everyone!! All is quiet on the home front this morning. I hear some crows in Maine but that is about it for the wildlife this morning.
Good morning Mits!!

It is gonna take a minute for me to get used to this new view. Haven't been on the computer all weekend!
I see both are enjoying breakfast now. I wonder what it is?
Negative here too Sissy on the question!!!!!
There she went!!
Maybe lib will stay and visit a minute.

Tom's brother just called. It is his 3rd grandbaby in a year. They are quite overwhelmed right now.
Had a typo, lungs are NOT quite developed.
I'M BACK AND STEVE HAS GIVEN US A NEW THREAD.....................
