Cool sight, Helen...I've been missing out! Other folkshave some nice eagle pics on there, too. Did I ever tell you I wanted to be a meteorologist when I was a kid....was told my math grades/skills weren't good enough! Did a project for school one time and wrote to Louie Allan and Frank Forrester---remember them, Helen, Loretta??---and they sent me all kinds of neat weather maps!

Helen, Louie Allen I think was on Ch. 4 and Forrester maybe on 7 back in the 50's,60's. Think Willard Scott took over for Allen. Guess you were still in Baltimore then!
Oops...mispelled Louie's last name the first time---I spelled it w/ a second "a" which is how my grandparents/mother spelled theirs!

they have been working on that bridge 4 weeks this Monday, wonder what is wrong with it?
Info on the Caltrans eagles:
This pair of Bald Eagles has been returning to their nest
around December to begin their additions to the nest. Normally, they’re sitting on the nest
in January and incubating eggs in early February. They’re early this year, arriving the
first week of November, and have been sighted in and about the nest.
I've noticed that too Mits.

Eagles here lay eggs the end of February into the end of March. It depends on how bad the winter is.

I've never gotten Caltrans to open. Says there is something wrong w/QuickTime--Duh. I can open QT & play whatever. Maybe pop up blocker is the culprit.

WVU and Carolina was a WONDERFUL game. Two super teams. When a school plays in a Bowl game, the school gets BooCoos of money. Different Bowls are allocated different amounts of money and the 2 schools playing in that bow split the money (I think) with the larger sum going to the winning school. So the Bowl games are very important to the schools. I always thought it was just an honor...didn

I'm playig Magie tonigt.....still Did you know that you can make a boy or girl fish by the amount of heat the egg is give. So I know you shouldn't have any trouble deciding on your eagles being boy or girl! Ar you confused now?? well, so am I. I am in bed you all are just dreaming all of this. Actually, the Mama eagle determines the sex...so Dana decided she wanted a boy first and then a girl...

I think the Bird in OUR nest had probably been there awhile, it was not sleeping but just hanging around...made a few chirps, then flew off after awhile.

Yes Paula when you enter the "Webkinz world". You have to decide on the sex. It is so funny how it worked out though. My 2nd eagle is a little taller and a little more rounded than the first.
Girl eagles are bigger than the male. So I got lucky there.
