An autobiography written by Randy Owen, the lead singer for the gouup "ALABAMA" Very interesting to me as we grew up on different mountains together. lol I'm a few years ahead of him too.

Wonderful to see the turkeys again at PIX pa - it has been awhile.
Suzanne caught a brief glimpse of the two Sea Eagles at Finney's Water Nest earlier this morning...almost dark there now.
Norma: Loved your comment about OUR BIRDS pulling the blind down for some privacy! We sure oogled (I guess that is a word) them a bunch over the last few days.
Just saw a female pheasant at one of the Scottish sites, and was watching a squirrel earlier on one of the tube feeders completely embracing it, trying to suck the feed out of the feeder I guess.
Okay - at Snowman Cam... just saw it was there around 8:25 am....guess it was a turkey, kind of looked like a Goose to me....also saw there was a pile of deer there last evening, and overnight....
Good morning to all my wonderful eagle buddies. My internet is down and I am at Sissy's working. Frontier is supposed to come this afternoon to fix it. More will be revealed.
good morning PAULA. I couldn't get a pic at Seal Rock.
NORMA I still can't believe that the Atlanta Zoo will be doing away with their Panda Cam. I surely must have brought them alot of viewers and publicity. Such a shame.
I know Norma. I have been grieving so over it. Wish I had a ton of money, I swear I would donate it. They say we will get updates but that just ain't the same. I really hate that we are losing that cam.
Wow, Paula, thanks for the heads up on the Western Eagles...just had a quick view before heading out the door....Even West End is not so gnarly this morning...

Howdy, Anne. Sorry to hear about the stomach surgery...I knew the knee one was coming..but sorry it's not feeling good. Hope you had a super Christmas!

EAGLE BWO TOO.
FROM LISA...UPDATE Nest Update for BWE page
12/29/08:
We've seen a good bit of mating activity on the Osprey Cam. Since it's too early for eggs, this activity is a form of bonding.
Oddly enough, we rarely see mating on the Eagle Cam nest itself; however, they may be doing it on the branches of the tree.
and Lisa's update on BWO page....
Nest Update
12/29/08:
Last Sunday, we caught sight of an American kestrel on the nest.
American kestrels are the smallest falcons found in North America.
Thanks Mits!! Morning all!! Panda butt scratching at NZ.

Update from Barton Cove Website - don't know if this was posted before or not.
December 17, 2008 - Update
As many viewers know, the tree that held the Barton Cove Eagle nest blew over during a passing storm on July 27th. There is a new potential nest site in a red oak on the big island. The area is being monitored to see if the adults rebuild at the new location. We will post any new information as it becomes available.
Osprey at CC
Our cams are back up!
Thanks, Steve and crew, for getting our cams back up for us!
eagle at BW
Hi gang, the wind sounds cold , thanks Steve
Hi, Anne Marie, hope you had a good Christmas.
Two osprey at CC.
Thanks Deb. It was full of love, kisses and great food. back on the diet today..:)
The heavy storms north of us are pushing the birds down here. I have seen birds at my feeder I have never seen before. As soon as I get my knee replacement I will be able to get out and get pictures.
What kind of birds are you getting?
I got a book to put on the coffee table that I could reach. Bright yellow canaries. Blue buntings, a bright green finch type that wont hold still long enough to identfy. They have brought me a great deal of company not being able to get around. I really wrenched this silly knee goofing off with the kids. The squirrls and jays eat the sun flower seeds and the rest is for first come first serve.
the paper reports of eagles seen in the foothills. Heavy snows are bringing them down from the Seirra. Skiing is good.
Sounds like fun, Anne. Sorry to hear about your knee! Do you have the surgery scheduled yet?
Burrowing Owl is out.
Not the knee Deb but my stomach comes first. I'm falling apart..:) where's the crazy glue?
Sounds like I feel today. I stepped in a hole yesterday and wrenched my back somewhat. I couldn't see the hole for the snow! I am stiff today.
Luckily, my stiffness will go away. Sorry to hear you have stomach surgery ahead of you.
Ah its a piece of cake.. I'll be in and out in no time. I have too much intestants and they are crowding everything else . so they are going to take some out. Nothing exciting. Just a birth defect. We all have one thing or another.
I'm sorry about your back. OUCH. A heating pad will help. If you have to leave the house the pads that self heat at the drug store really help.
Be back in a minute....
Some weird sounds coming from our cam.
Eagle at LW!
Hello again, everyone, Good to see you Anne-Marie - - sorry to hear about the old knee...but so happy to hear about those colorful birds ! Beauty loves Beauty!

Time for a very large Panda Nap....
Just wanted to say "Hi." ☺ ♥

Whoa, thanks for the LW and Moose alert, Deb...guess I'll watch for a few minutes...☺
Howdy, Anne. Sorry to hear about the stomach surgery...I knew the knee one was coming..but sorry it's not feeling good. Hope you had a super Christmas!
Oh, that was very nice...loved it when he/she looked straight at the camera.
Good Night.....xo
Spread out moose finally sat up!
Back in operation now! Glad the live feed is fixed. Having my afternoon cup of coffee and cheese & crackers.
OK - Anne Marie go for it! Here is hoping that you have insurance to cover the tummy surgery! And then on to your knee!!!
Thanks for the pics Deb.
Glad you are enjoying the book Red!
Let us know when you are checking in on us!!
I wonder if hunting season is over in MI - LOTS of deer on the snowman cam.
my computer is running weird today, especially when it comes to the blog:(
Mits - I was just going to ask if anyone else had problems refreshing the blog...takes like 5 minutes to refresh for me...
And awhile to post as well...
Hi Paula, it just took a sec to refresh. Will see how long it takes this to post.
Posting was as fast!
It is taking me a while to get used to this laptop. I have not had a laptop since I retired eight years ago. Hopefully our computer will be back up and running tomorrow,
Better now...
I do much better with the laptop sitting at a table and not in my lazyboy. Shucks! Sitting here at the kitchen table, I see I need to refill the suet for the birds.
Good! Your Mom continuing to improve?
Slowly, Lolly.
Thanks for asking.
Blog slow too again...
There was just a little hanky panky on the osprey cam at CC.
Good Evening Everyone.
Finished out yesterday all the Christmas Celebrations....so now it forward towards the New Year.

Been helping Granddaughter and great grandson out during day. Makes us leave earlier and get home later. It's worth it though!
She'll soon get on her feet.
Paula glad Mother is doing better...one step at a time.
Anne will put you on prayer list for surgery on stomach. My sister and I had that when born. But our surgery had to be done 20 and 22 days after birth.
I posted pictures of the osprey at CC on Nest pictures.
Kewl Deb. Mebbe some eggs soon ♥
Great capture Deb, first this way, then that way...
for a bit there I was wondering where the male's other leg was! Finally I see it. May he has a little Stork in him...
Hear noises at the microphone our nest...
I guess those are children noises at our nest...think?
Dana, hope all will be okay with g-daughter and gg-son...
It is good that you can help out...
thanks, Deb,,,,maybe good news soon:)
Lolly my lap-top is on my desk....haven't tried it in recliner...
I hope we have an egg soon, too. It will be fun to watch at this nest.

yeah that will be cool.
something was just by the mic.
sounds like something landed close by
c'mon, little eagle we know you are there...
going to leave the room, that should bring them in.
Deb just seen your pictures. I love the one of the cedar waxwing. Although the fence with the ice is a beautiful catch.
The fence picture doesn't do the sparkly day justice, Dana. None of my pictures showed just how beautiful it was!
EAGLE!

EAGLE ALERT!!!

both are there.
Holy Smokes - What a noisy landing, one then two ! ☺ ☺

And then there were none. Something by the mic, though.
Two at BWE - -while we wait for ours to come back

Sounded like little turtle dove chortles, MEMA....♫ ♪
here come the geese.
Osprey just left CC, geese flying over.
Down to one at BWE -
Good shot at BWE
I guess it is Lord Blackwater....
I am looking at tail feathers
Poof at BWE &&&&& IT just may have been Lady Blackwater!
I can just sit here and picture all of us cam-hopping...looking for action...
PH and TH and West End all look empty. What is up with West End? So wiggly and distorted!
It seems too early for OURS to be done...not enough Eagle Folks got to see them!
beautiful deer on Pix
Margy, I tuned in just in time to see them both land. Haven't done much watching today, but was here at the right time:):)
Oh, they are pretty deer at Pix Pa!
Saw in comments where our Norma had an accident in Shepherdstown 4 way stop. Glad she seen Sandra & Tom. So glad our LADY NORMA is ok. The car can be fix or replaced. But NOT OUR LADY NORMA !!
Jo seen in comments were Patrick has to go back. Darn Sorry I know we all were wishing his time had been shortened. Keeping him in Prayer!!!!!
All right Sky Watchers! Check out the Crescent Moon ! It's a must see! A newborn Moon, always a beauty, and then to the upper left of that, Venus ♥ and it is not dark enough to see Jupiter yet....
didn't think we would see baby moon so soon !
My one cam that I was watching was Atlanta. When it stopped for the day. The picture of Little growing Luney is still on there. He is laying in the bamboo. Not ready to close the pic out yet. Our dear sweet boy.
Hallelujah Hawaii Wanda! (grandson's phrase for a good thing...)
It puts a zip in everyone's step...
☺
Wanda, did Caltrans open up for you? Mine did, and of course, have only seen cars going by and twinkly action at the nest...might not be too late.
Got a call to work midnight to 0600 - Wah Wah Wah ! Was not planning on this....:(
Ok Margy just went out in cold. Seen the moon then upper left beautiful bright. What is that at the lower right of moon?
My computer definitely has problems when I open up the IWS California sites...can't figure out why but things instantly start to freeze up...
Just barely saw those deer at PIX PA in time...
That would be Jupiter Dana...I didn't see it at first, had to go further outside to get away from the trees...
Nice isn't it? Tuesday night the moon will be closer to Venus, then it will probably trade positions with it...
Great Stuff !
Look South, folks, or South/West...
whatever direction the sun just set in... ☺
