My Astronomy Magazine has done me wrong twice this month! First it said the Solstice was on the 19th - NOT - then it showed the crescent moon coming out on the 30th -

Margy, Caltrans does that to my computer. If I have it open, I can't do anything else on my computer. I open it when someone announces eagles then have to close it right away.
Well, considering my evening plans all just got re-arranged I guess I am going to have to move away from this toy for awhile.

I posted the picture, along with a couple of Pook feeding the moose on Nest Pictures. I don't know how these people got there, didn't see them come or go, but I don't think they aren't dressed for snowmobiling.

Margy, I was just trying to show Gene Caltrans, and I got the same message as 2 days ago: Need to install QT??? Sometimes I feel as if a little Gremlin is in here doing these things, trying to make me buy a new 'puter. 3 years old does not warrent a new one!! Maybe Glo will send me some of her Mucinex and I can drop it in here and it will get rid of the Gremlins;)

Eagle at LW.
NEW YEAR'S EVE: What a way to end the year. On Dec. 31st, Venus and the slender crescent Moon will gather together high in the southwestern sky for a beautiful conjunction visible for hours after sunset. The two brightest objects in the night sky can be seen through city lights and even fireworks--so everyone can enjoy the show. Meanwhile, closer to the horizon, Mercury and Jupiter are converging for their own Dec. 31st conjunction. This one is not so easy to see, but rewarding for those who make the effort to find the two planets shining through the rosy glow of sunset.

Yes they are you can see the one pulling the meat off. One that was not eating hopped out of nest onto a limb. Lower left hand corner.
Other just flew up on limb where it is cleaning its beak.

There was a lot of good action today at the different cams. I want to see an eagle at SR--last year it was Neokast and I couldn't watch it.

Night light just came on at Caltrans
Well see you all have been star gazing or is that planet gazing. Remember Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus which explains a lot.
I also see Deb is busy with her picture posting. I do not have a clue how you watch so many cams, blog all your observaitons, count birds and post pictures. Oh think I tried that last year and have given up on multi tasking when it comes to hobby enjoyiment anymore. One thing at a time that I enjoy will work well these days.
I can even talk some today although I have taken it easy. I so enjoyed the eagles but those pictures are in my cam for later tonight or tomorrow. I did update Glo's Glimpses while I was eating supper though. The pictures are a couple of days old but the eagles remain as gorgeous as ever.
I will freeze to death for these birds LOL. But actually it was a very pretty day today but wind was cold.

If any of you have weather bug...get rid of it!! Downloads tracking cookies galore...slows down your computer.
Try the NBC4 or Channel 9 temp thingy...works much better.
IWS is going back to neokast for most of the cams...WE, TH and probably SR. Neokast is back in business....was sorry to hear that....slows me down terribly.
And Margy, so does the WE and SR right now too...old computer here.
thanks, Paula, I never use it, think it was one of the culprits, that slows my computer down when I turn it on.
Also, Mits, I don't know if Windows live is looking for tracking cookies or not...but ad-aware does.
Those tracking cookies will get you lots of unwanted emails, also.

I haven't come through a full year on any of the cams yet except NCTC and Blackwater, so all this information you are all posting is really helpful...
There was some nice Eagle action today, hope for more tomorrow.

Can just barely see the tail feathers at the one o'clock spot at BWE -
Wow, lots of wind overnight. Trash cans and all kinds of debris to dodge on the way home. Some power outages on the East end of the County and also up to Spring Mills.
Glad to see OUR NEST has withstood the wind.
I'm going straight to bed...have something to do later in the morning...
