Yea for Red! I like your Christmas tree, Lynn, but going to miss the twinkling antlers.
First coffee cake in the oven, they are slow to rise. Going to be smelling good around here. Jack is threatening to eat one raw. Yuk1 But, they are loaded with raisins, cherries, and pecans! Not to mention the cinnamon and sugar. ha!
Thanks, Lolly. Hmmmm...do you share recipes????? Loretta, hoping your evening menu is half as yummy as Margy is imagining!! How 'bout some lobster, too??
Magpie Thanks for your kind comments. Well hopefully Dex will in fact be going to santa night at the shelter. I hear the kids have made a gift for him actually. Don't think I was supposed to hear that. All I know is the kids who experience shelter life have been through an awfully lot. They surely don't need their santa party cancelled or even postponed. Santas schedule is crazy right now so a reschedule is gonna be hard too. Hoping and praying from my nice warm home. I am Blessed indeed.
Margy, looking at that nest, it is no wonder they didn't stay and haven't come back. They better get use to it, because there will be more to come over the next 2-3 months:)
Lolly I can relate to the deliciousness of raw raised dough! Know it is probably dangerous nowadays, but I did it a lot as a kid and I am still here to talk about it!
Glo - we gotta keep those prayers going skyward, I know there is a meaning in change...and being grateful for what life puts in front of us, but when little ones are involved, especially those in need...our heart just aches for them! It will mean the world for them to treat Dex too...maybe even more than what they will receive...xo
TTFN xo ♥ Pillows are really hollering at me now !
Lolly, please send me your recipe! Megan, we all know that you are NOT The Grinch!!! LOL. Glo, you and Dex are to be commended for all of your giving to the shelter. Must be very fulfilling, but sad at the same time.
Time to rustle up some grub. All this food talk is making me hungry. Oh...eldest attended a catered buffet dinner at work last night: the augratin potatoes went SOUR between her first and second helping! Yuk!! Red must be off fixing dinner for the Mrs. Wonder what's on his menu tonight??
Lynn, later on I will try to send you the recipe. It is a basic recipe for sweet dough, but it is what you do with it that is hard to describe. But, I will try! :) And I will take a picture of one complete and maybe that will help.
We apparently did have a little moisture of some sort here. Was in the living room and noticed little teeny tiny icicles on the icicle lights on the house. LOL
Ha Ha Wanda Glad you rescued Glos Glimpses. Thanks for the good wishes hopes and prayers for the kids party on Fri. I find myself picking my brain for plan 2 as I listen to all the here's what to do today to prepare you and your family for Thurs.
Forecasters can be wrong but they are surely getting out the word on getting prepared now as they tell us to stay off the roads tonight as they are treacherous.
Is it even winter yet. This is goofy.
Plan two at least in my brain right now is gonna be trying to find a church with heat and lights and haul the kids there and Santa too. I sure hope we can pull that off if plan one doesn't work.
Deb, I just heard on our local news that Internet Explorer is having problems, don't know if you use it, I do...Microsoft is telling people to use a different browser till they can fix it, they think it is being hacked or something
The National Weather Service is baffled with today's snowfall. Official total for Vermillion is 4-6". I didn't know it was that hard to measure snow. Everyone else got one number, even the weathermen are making fun of that one.
Almost Jeopardy time....hope everyone enjoys their good dinners! I had something new....Contessa Whiskey Jack Shrimp...it was on discontinued half-price sale at Food Lion...fixed some angel hair pasta and it was TOO good! Will have to go back to store and get some more before they yank it!! BBL....NCIS, etc. on CBS tonight!

Four deer out on the corn...two does, a yearling and a fawn...if they are still called fawns at this stage...what? about 8 months old, I guess.
More and More deer at Pix...
That PIX PA cam can be so weird, you can watch it, and everything disappears, then it refreshes and everything comes back...must be looping...
Well, it's time for me to regain some sleep....see you all later.
Hedgie, that is a nice tree...

Oh, and I love your Grinch!!
HELLO, been out and about for several hours....just a light snizzle when I was driving around:)
Red is cooking some Ham steaks with Scalloped potaotes and steamed brocolli. Oatmeal/Raisin cookies for dessert.
Betty is helping with the potatoes.
Betty makes nice potatoes:)
Betty and Marie are good helpers. :)
Hey there Grinch! I just knew this morning when you offered to take m-i-l to town that you would be rewarded with Fried Chicken!
Puppy Playtime! As fast as they run, if they would hit the wall they would
conk themselves out flat on the floor!
You got it, Jo- big pan of fried chicken was deliverd to my door...
oh, yes, let's not forget good "ole" Marie....
did the puppies knock the cam over...lol...
I think so, something is not right in puppy cam land!
Yum, the best way to get fried chicken is have someone deliver it!

Deb, I was watching them play, and I left the room...heard this terrible noise, and there it was....Mom is home, bet she saw it happen
I just lost sound, did you?
Oops, I see arms and legs!
no, still have sound
they are pretending to look innocent
I just lost sound now
I had to shut down and start over, I couldn't even get a live picture. I have movement now.
Deb, I just heard on our local news that Internet Explorer is having problems, don't know if you use it, I do...Microsoft is telling people to use a different browser till they can fix it, they think it is being hacked or something

No, I use Safari or Firefox, IE doesn't work on Mac computers.
That must be it!!
I keep waiting to see an eagle at Lake Washington. Tom Otto said they came yesterday at 4:30, that is coming up.
lol...you took the words right out of my mouth, Deb....sitting here too.
I wonder what those puppies got ahold of, Mom took it away before too much damage was done. Some kind of paper.
I have sound again!

puppy hugs
