GOOD MORNING MARGY... I see you have been up most of the night and were joined by Loretta at 4 o'clock. Good thing you both take PANDA NAPS! We missed you yesterday. Hope you got important things done.
Oh, we just SPLIT. I was not expecting it and got confused. So, here I am all alone. Hope we can see our morning visitors, even though the cam is messed up a bit.
Hi Wanda - sorry I missed you before you hit the pillows!
Spent the day with daughter transfering things out of storage bin, and had some personal business had to take care of but it was all I could do not to log on and Blog, believe me!
Yesterday marked a year since my sister died, and I spent some time getting something for, taking it to the cemetery, and spending some time there and on emails with family about it.
No birds for us this morning...it's going to get wet, soggy and cold at that nest in the next 48 - - glad there are no eggs in there yet!
Yes, Margy, the driver was very cute...young enough to be my grandson;) Gene said he thought the truck was from the VA Center. It came from that direction. Heard one coming from Shepherdstown, too. Could have been police or fire chief.
Yes, Wanda, Engine 82 is from the VA Center...they run that area with Baker Heights, and sometimes Shepherdstown Fire Department will get called to run also, and Engine 90 - the Office of Emergency Services .. the latter gets dispatched on ALL fire calls.
I don't think Jim was on at all yesterday?? He at least, comes on to say goodnight...he may have the bug that has been going around. Anne-Marie pops in every once in awhile. She's busier now than when she was working.
I just noticed that the STILL cam time is right on with real time. It had been running about 10 minutes ahead of time. Don't know what that means, but, there, you have it:)
Came up from wrapping on pool table for coffee! Fubby let kitties downstairs!!!I really need their help! No eagles yet--pretty dark here. There may be ice in evening--hope none on beltway at 6:30PM when I am going to other party!!!Guess what will be will be!(Think Doris Day sang that tune!)
When you see those rainbow lines at the top of the still cam, Wanda, that means we are kaput for now..
Okay Loretta, let's join prayers because snow and ice are really going to mess a few things up for last birthday visit for Grandson and his Ma....she leaves to return to Florida late Wednesday night, and his birthday is Wednesday so they are planning one more Special Visit ♥
Our weather alert has changed from 6am this morning to 6pm this evening. You may be alright for a few hours, Loretta, but keep an eye out on the roads.
Yep Loretta...kaput and kaplooie...those rainbow lines are a "dead" giveaway on the still cam, and the same spidey strand has been flopping in the breeze since 4:30...:( Guess we better tell Steve...
Good morning everyone. No cam and weather stuff to deal with yesterday today and by Thursday here...oh well one day at a time. Right now off to coffee and dog treats. Then groceries and mail off a few cards. Not sure I can even get to the river but I might have to try.
Enjoy your day. Hope the cam is on when I get home to hibernate.

Guess we are luck here in the south this week. Bad weather all over the rest of the country. We are just getting wet. Temps in the mid to upper 60's all week. I headed to the barber in about an hour and was going to finish my Christmas shopping but may wait till the rains are over.
Just checking for birdies :( Megan you are TOO COOL---you found it! Were 2 eagles at BWO, some turkeys at PA, squirrels at Snowman Cam. I've gotta check Ecuador---should be bright & cheery before I finish wrapping 2 more for the UPS box!
Helen you sure do find some interesting articles. Spider story was amazing. Off to do errands before it gets too bad. Got a little shopping done for my neighbor. She has 3 grandchildren and gives them money but always gives them a little gift. BBL
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!---WANDA---MARGY---LORETTA---HELEN---GLO---RED---CEIL & "DJ" MEGAN!!! ---Didn't think you kids were old enough to remember DORIS DAY!!--ho!----REALLY PRAY that the weather person is wrong this time!!----SLEET & ICE---WHOA!!---37° now and CLOUDY!!---
MY Norfolk cam works, just too much movement for me....weak stomach... Well, crud, was planning on hibernating today and decorating baking cookies, but MIL just came over and is panicking cause she was headed to town and now is afraid to drive in the weather, but needs to go to the bank...sleeting on and off here now, but the ground is still warm and the temp is 34°..SO I shall reluctantly put the butter and eggs back in the fridge and head out for a little, consider this my good deed for the week...hope the cam is fixed soon..
Good morning everyone. The snows is coming down here. I had to go rescue one dog this am, the snow gets in their paws and freezes and then they don't want to walk anymore. I have to run out and get them and clean out their paws.
Good Morning! WOW I am up early enough to see the Gobblers in the PA woods and the BWE in the nest! Keeping an eye on this weather - expecting a daughter to visit but hope she calls first. Didn't read all emails - just came right over here this am!
I hope all is well and I will now read to see what has been going on this am. I can see our nest - still cam isn't too bad if it is updating.
Oh, thanks for the Blue Link to Norfolk, MITS - Oh, yes, Nausea City for sure! Eagle at BWE looks great and busy... Well, we had sleet here for a little bit...I like the update that maybe Wednesday won't be so awful after all.
So, do you think we are up? The rainbow lines on the still cam is throwing me off...thought that meant we were not up there on that... ?? Okay, experts, help me out....
'LITTLE PRINCE XI' is SLEEPING again!!---Don't think I have seen him awake for weeks!!!---Wonder what makes the red-brown ring around his neck!!----LUN LUN???
Time to make ready to brave the weather, my 91 year old shopping buddy is on the schedule this morning. She's close by and so is the store...and the sleet has quit!
Norma: Please keep all the cold stuff on the other side of Romney for a couple of days...please?
Morning all! 26 here but no ice, thank goodness. Laurel is an hour north and she got a little last night, but apparently not enough to close things down. Gotta get Jack to get the fire built, time to start baking.
Deb, you left your freezer door open...I feel it down here. LOL
Wanda, I am concerned about you and that cute young fireman. LOL I once had my purse stolen in Portugal. The young policeman was sooooo cute. Then we had to go to the American Embassy and the guard there was soooo cute. Man, they turned a bad experience into a cool memory. LOL
Thanks Mits for the blue link to Norfolk. I now have it added to this cool new laptop. I am loving it! I have not even touched the paper this morning.
Morning all. Mixed bag of sleet and snow here...yuk! After those spoiler 60+°'s yesterday...bummer. Just heard they ae closing schools 2 hrs. early. Norfolk cam is a mover and shaker...it doesn't look close enough to nest to really show much...is it zoomable??
Glo, your dancing eagle show was great!! And that beautiful pic of the eagle above was a gem! Megan, Margy and Ceil...you are so good to your in-law/neighbors!! Halos for sure. Lolly, I haven't finished the paper, either....getting ready to get a fire started, since guy came last pm and got my new pile of wood split and stacked. I was out of anything that I could handle.
Have finished the paper. Had a good cartoon. I am going to scan it and send it around.
Jack is in on our computer and I am sitting here in my recliner. Oh, life is rough! I really do need to go start baking as it will take all day. Dough has to rise twice. I will be making 8 coffee cakes. They are so yummy. It is our traditional Christmas morning breakfast. I also freeze 6 of them to have during the year. Have been making them for almost 50 years. Yikes! Learned to make them in home ec in high school.
Thanks, Deb! When I went to save it as a favorite, it said I already had it! Just overwrote, so now I hopefully can find it easier! Lolly, my grams' cinnamon roll recipe is my responsibility....I've been doing it for the last 25 years...my youngest has been helping for the last few, tho' looks like I'll be on my own this year as she has to work. It also has to raise twice. I make about 15 pans of rolls....everyone wants some to take home, and I even still give the girls some to take to their dad. It was always the traditional Christmas morning breakfast, along w/ sausage and grapefruit.
HELLO GEULA!!---Good to hear from you!!---Don't KICK too hard!!---You might break a toe!!---HEY!---What's happening with your DONKEYS?----We haven't seen ours for a couple of days!!!
Attention Computer Gurus.....want to change my avatar, but everytime I click on Remove Image, it just flickers and nothing else will happen. Any ideas?????
Good Afternoon everyone; I have been working outside and herd a flock of sandhill cranes about 100 count, they were flying lower than normal so i ran inside to get my camera but when i got back out they had moved into some low clouds i could still here them but couldn't see them. The bad weather to the northeast has put them on the move.We had a dusting of snow this morning but it has stopped for now.I will keep check to see if more fly over.
Back from work luncheon party. Part-timers didn't have to pay. Full time paid $10!!! for lasagna, salad, garlic bread slice, cake & cookies. Not worth it! Now 1 thing to wrap for tonight's party if we don't get ice.Post Office had NO Xmas stamps!Guess liberty bell is good all year!(at least ours are!) See nest has snow in it, so it must be working. Wrap & then Panda nap ☺ ☺
Lynn, RIGHT CLICK ON THE "DLETE IMAGE" LINK ON YOUR PROFILE. SELECT OPEN AND CLICK. NOTING SHOULD HAPPEN. THEN CLICK THE DELETE IMAGE" LINK AGAIN, AND THE OPTIONS OF EITHER LOADING TO BLOGGER OR IMAGE URL SHOULD APPEAR AND STAY THERE, ALLOWING YOU TO CHANGE YOUR PICTURE
Dough has risen, so I just have a minute to peek in.
NORMA, yes the Cowboys were watched in this household. WOW!GO Cowboys!!!!! Especially exciting as SIL is from Long Island and a Giants fan. HO!
LYNN, sorry you are having trouble removing the avatar. I had that very same problem. I could not remove it even following Paula's instructions. I finally sent Paula my username and password and she was able to get rid of it.
Up to 29 now. Fire is doing wonders to help the dough rise. Problem is it is hard to put all 8 coffee cakes in front of the fire to rise. They have to take turns! LOL
I want a white Christmas. Somebody send me your snow. I want it to snow in NYC too, but I want to be able to come home! Yikes!
Time for an afternoon cup of coffee & a cookie or two! Our precipitation has stopped for now but when temps lower there will be icy conditions I'm sure. Some of the snowflakes were soooooooo large! Daughter is safely home & panda nap has been taken......
It is Winter WonderLand! Everyone relax & think about Christmas Love!
Precip had stopped for a little while but is coming down heavy again...still snow w/ a bit of sleet mixed in. Glad the school kids are home before the "rush hour" traffic starts.
Hedgie, Don't know why you want to change your Avatar cause it's a good one you have. If you want to send me your username and Password I can remove it too. But I will understand if you want to wait on paula.
Well I bet I missed Geula But want to say hi to her anyway. Hedgie Glad you enjoyed the dancing eagle video. I really think the ice was melting or cracking under his talons making him jump off the ice. It was like 50 that afternoon and 6 degrees with freezing rain hours later. Crazy day for sure.
Today is beautiful I went to the grocery and post office now I can get snowed in and not worry about it. Got some younger blood and stronger muscles to work for me tonight. Expecting several inches of snow. But the really problem forecast is Thurs with an inch of ice. if that happens my guess is no power in many a place here. I want that one to be wrong so bad. I have a fireplace and gas stove but the shelter is all electric. Santa Party isFriday and we have so many kids in shelter and returning for a party. We do not need an ice storm on Thurs. mtbr. yes I know It is what it is. I don't think I will be telling the kids that though. It needs to just not happen.
Yesterday we did a our annual Lake Washington nest maintenance climb. We adjusted and replaced the camera. The birds were back to the nest at 4:30 PST. Also the new camera has IR. Enjoy!
The Kent nest is next on the list ( early Jan?). Tom Otto
Oh, Wow - I am just getting back home, getting dicey out around here! Checking out pictures first, starting with OUR NEST - Yay! - then I will catch up on reading. I thought Lake Washington Eagle Cam looked a little different at sunrise....thanks DEB for the updates... ! ☺
Hedgie: I most certainly DO remember the smell of fresh baking bread from the bakery on Winchester Ave, and one time got a hot loaf, and slathered it with butter....Yum!
WANDA ! I had to do an update of Adobe to get the live view at Norfolk, took just a minute or to, and Vouila! Live Action, Nausea and all! ☺ xo I am so glad to be off the streets..
GLO : If I could have a prayer answered right about now, it would be to have the temperatures rise and keep the roads from getting nasty...so I sure hope the same for you! I would give up anything regarding Christmas plans for it right about now....
AND GLO I bet you can still run circles around anyone else that works at the shelter, younger stronger or fresher notwithstanding, especially if Dex is with you ! ☺
Oh Yes, before I forget! Got some new stamps at the post office today: Great Lakes Dunes. Here are some of the treats on there: Red Fox, Merlin, Eastern Hognose Snake (some might not think of this as a "treat"), Common Merganser, Red Admiral Butterfly, Evening Primrose - there are 27 flora and fauna things on there....worth every penny!
Margy, blogger cop ate my message that said: You make me sound like the blogger cop!!! LOL!! I make mistakes, too!!! I don't correct...I just inform...LOL!!!! ♥♥♥
So don't you all go taking your Panda Naps yet, as I was about to do...maybe, maybe, another visit.
Friend in New York just reported, that the Tundra Swans are still headed South, although the big flights have already moved through. They will continue to head South through January, then start returning in February..."long journey for only a month or two trip, but the only way they can survive" ..so, Megan, listen up and watch the skies for us !
Lolly, thanks, but I'm okay now! Don't remember who named him Boris...maybe Jo??--it's been awhile back! Good name for something spooky and eerie!! How about Boris Karloffa? Sound more feminine? I don't even remember how he spelled his name!!
It was bound to happen! I was going to dig on you Hedgie about Caffiene...but I didn't get away with it! Yes, jittery as in too much caffeine (Hey, I went to Saint Joe's - they made you learn how to spell, not type maybe, but spell ! ) ☺ xo
Yes, pretty Yucky outside kind of day hereabouts, Megan... I was afraid maybe it would be too late so I was real happy to hear the Swans are still headed this way...

Our live feed is back up and it is snowing on our nest!
Attention Computer Gurus.....want to change my avatar, but everytime I click on Remove Image, it just flickers and nothing else will happen. Any ideas?????
looks like a cam is working again, with a little precip in the nest
Don't know if this will help or not, but try holding down your ctrl key while you click on remove image.
Snow in the nest, nice to have both cams back up.
SHARON & DEB!!---YEP!---Still snowing here---Flakes are getting larger!!--
Mix of sleet and snow here right now, as you can see on the cam.
They finally changed the snow prediction from 1-2" to 3-5". We had 3" at least by noon.
Gene is out in this mess shopping for my Christmas present...hope he doesn't wreck and break it:)
Good Afternoon everyone;
I have been working outside and
herd a flock of sandhill cranes
about 100 count,they were flying
lower than normal so i ran inside to get my camera but when i got back out they had moved into some
low clouds i could still here them
but couldn't see them. The bad weather to the northeast has put them on the move.We had a dusting
of snow this morning but it has
stopped for now.I will keep check
to see if more fly over.
Indiana Nesting Eagles----Dave
Back from work luncheon party. Part-timers didn't have to pay. Full time paid $10!!! for lasagna, salad, garlic bread slice, cake & cookies. Not worth it!
Now 1 thing to wrap for tonight's party if we don't get ice.Post Office had NO Xmas stamps!Guess liberty bell is good all year!(at least ours are!)
See nest has snow in it, so it must be working.
Wrap & then Panda nap ☺ ☺

These are instructions that Paula gave me. Hope it works for you.
Hi, Dave. Hope they fly over again. Keep that camera ready:)
Geula, now that you are able to get in here...come visit us more often!
Our nest is beautiful but I bet Lib & Belle don't think so..... lol
Take a look at the Moose cam - WOW!
The moose love it!
Neither idea worked, Sharon and Wanda. But thanks for trying. Paula.....where are you???
Lolly, I think I can smell that warm yeast aroma!!! Hey, local gals, remember driving down Winchester Ave. and smelling the baking bread at Schmidt's?
My eldest worked there one summer (HOT job!) after she first got married.
Precip had stopped for a little while but is coming down heavy again...still snow w/ a bit of sleet mixed in. Glad the school kids are home before the "rush hour" traffic starts.
Eagle at Norfolk
VA gone, but 2 at BWO.
Hedgie, Don't know why you want to change your Avatar cause it's a good one you have. If you want to send me your username and Password I can remove it too. But I will understand if you want to wait on paula.
It is really snowing on the moose cam today, moose is turning white.
Update of sorts from Cape Coral eagle cam that Judy from Maine got:
Our IT Department is working on getting a camera at the site. Technical problems have plagued many of our WildCam cameras. Please keep checking back."
My other Santa I had was cute too. But I began to think it may not be cute in July. I think it had something to do with the animation. Who knows!
House does not have the wonderful smell yet....have to wait until they are baking for that. Have four made and rising, now to make four more.
Lolly you're on your Baking Binge!
From the Kent forum and Tom Otto:
Cam is up...snow in nest.
Blogger cop hanging AROUND!
Hedgie, you have mail
Hedgie: I most certainly DO remember the smell of fresh baking bread from the bakery on Winchester Ave, and one time got a hot loaf, and slathered it with butter....Yum!
WANDA ! I had to do an update of Adobe to get the live view at Norfolk, took just a minute or to, and Vouila! Live Action, Nausea and all! ☺
xo I am so glad to be off the streets..
Vouila is another name for Voila! Just a little misspelled...Hedgie is going to get me for this !!
Thanks, Red. You have email!
GLO :
If I could have a prayer answered right about now, it would be to have the temperatures rise and keep the roads from getting nasty...so I sure hope the same for you! I would give up anything regarding Christmas plans for it right about now....
AND GLO I bet you can still run circles around anyone else that works at the shelter, younger stronger or fresher notwithstanding, especially if Dex is with you ! ☺
The snow is done and I need to get out and clean it off. Sidewalk is done, my neighbor must have done it!
Hedgie, I neve got email. Did you use wigleyb36@mchsi.com
DEB : It might have been one of Santa's Elves !
Paula, like your new snowman, but I sure liked the other one too...
Hedgie, I have always like yours, too, but if you want to change it, well, I guess I will have to just get over it ! ☺
Your Avatar that is, Hedgie...
Imagine hearing from Geula from so far away! Technology is so comforting sometimes...even though it can be a pain in the hiney sometimes too... :(
Red, I used the link on your profile......I'll try again.
Red, copied and pasted it into an AOL mail this time!
I know, Margy, but I just love Christmas trees and found some really nice ones to try!!! Thnx for nice card!
Oh Yes, before I forget!
Got some new stamps at the post office today: Great Lakes Dunes.
Here are some of the treats on there:
Red Fox, Merlin, Eastern Hognose Snake (some might not think of this as a "treat"), Common Merganser, Red Admiral Butterfly, Evening Primrose - there are 27 flora and fauna things on there....worth every penny!
☺
Margy, blogger cop ate my message that said: You make me sound like the blogger cop!!! LOL!! I make mistakes, too!!! I don't correct...I just inform...LOL!!!! ♥♥♥
I think my naturalist friend in New York deserves a whole page of these! He is on Lake Erie, probably iced in good right about now.... :(
Just had a thought...what if no one can fix my avatar? I'll look pretty silly in July w/ a blinkin' reindeer!!!
That's okay Hedgie ! - now, did I spell "hiney" right ? LOL ! ☺ ♥
Hey Margy....I climbed one of the Great Lakes Dunes. i don't like heights and it was scary to do, but I was determined!
That was a nice and fluffy, easy to clean off snow. Gotta like them. Margy, whoever the elf was did the whole street!
Hedgie, you have mail.
Don't worry Lynn, I am sure Paula can help you. But if it is still there in July, I will go get the high kicking Santa I had and join you. Okay!! LOL
Well, folks, we just had a very quick visit by an Eagle...gone now, but maybe, will come back!
It was that quick, by the time my Blog refreshed so I could tell you, I watched it fly off to the right...... Sigh .....
I see Borris' Web starting off to the right of our cam.......
Watching in the background in case our eagle returns......
I still can't get Norfolk...message tells me Internet Explorer has to shut down, then I have to reboot:(
Our beauties should be coming soon:)
So when did Spidey get named Boris? It is undoubtedly a female.
Wanda, sure hope that Gene got all the hints and got you a new computer (laptop??!!) for Christmas!!
As you can see, Red got me fixed!!
Funny Lolly
I never imagined a dune as being a "height" - shows you what I don't know ! (Of course there is a lot of that!)
Wanda: did you see that I saw a fleeting image of an Eagle? I think it was Belle...
Hedgie....that tree reminds me of myself, all jittery!
Lolly, thanks, but I'm okay now! Don't remember who named him Boris...maybe Jo??--it's been awhile back! Good name for something spooky and eerie!! How about Boris Karloffa? Sound more feminine? I don't even remember how he spelled his name!!
Jittery as in nervous energy, Margy? Or too much caffiene???
Railroad and cars at NCTC -
Not much in the sky to see tonite, Margy, was just out in the muck, did see a large group of robins today, looking for food.
Boris = I think Megan provided a youtube link to some sort of song about Boris the spider...was it a Beatles song. Have CRS at the moment
NO, it's a WHO song, Boris the Spider...creepy crawly..creepy crawly...
It was bound to happen! I was going to dig on you Hedgie about Caffiene...but I didn't get away with it! Yes, jittery as in too much caffeine (Hey, I went to Saint Joe's - they made you learn how to spell, not type maybe, but spell ! ) ☺ xo
Like your tree Hedgie
Yes, pretty Yucky outside kind of day hereabouts, Megan...
I was afraid maybe it would be too late so I was real happy to hear the Swans are still headed this way...
a very plaintiff sound at NCTC - maybe, could be Canada Geese...wouldn't it be something to hear the Tundra Swans at that cam??
Nice Buck at Pix PA - and some weird precipitation things..
3 deer there now...
I don't have the sound up on cam, too much interference-drives my dog nuts...
Loretta! Hope your evening party is more swanky than the noon time one...Some crab meat would be nice....
