And love that Finney sea eagleAnd check out the big fish remains left at BWO
the litte bit of Bonnaire that we watch was hit by Tropical storm Omar, which is now a hurricane....
Fish crow checking out the leftovers at BWOMits - it's headed for the Virgin Islands next
I checked my maps and am ready for the train, too. I had done the maps earlier when Megan posted one and couldn't remember what all I had printed out.
Sea eagle left, cruise ship passing by.
Good Morning Everyone!Really large Momma eagle at BWO.Could be Lady Blackwater........I am being taken to the Mall by 2 of my daughters. I guess they will shop until I drop.... I will return
Lisa at Blackwater emailed me that family is coming up from FL and she won't be able to come to Open House. She promises that one of these years she will make it! I told her we would hold her to it.
Does anybody know what ever happened to Todd Harless?
he is sitting next to me....on my wonderful eagle mug that I bought from Paula:)
Oh, okay, me too! The one I won for guessing a hatch!
** GOOD MORNING **** eVERYONE IN **** EAGLE LAND **C(°ٿ°)DJim
Looks like an eewwiie at BWO
off to the zoo;)
Sunset at Finneys
Yet another report on Nethy shows her making good progress to the SSW now, probably aided by a tailwind.C(°ٿ°)DJim
What a nice day outside but rains on the way.. Deb whens your flight arrivng at BWI? I have aflight leaving at 4:15pm for Orlando, Florida.. Maybe we could say Hello as we pass in the terminal..lol I know i need to pack tonight also, but today is my grandson's 19th birthday, so im fixing a special dinner tonight for him..Baby Panda sure is trying to walk moving those legs...
Say Hi to Mickey for me Nilla. Been so long since I have seen him he probably don't remember me.
Nilla, I get in at 1:51 to BWI with Northwest Airlines, flight 1070, coming in form Minneapolis.
At work--had to check Atlanta-Baby all by himself!!ADORABLE!!
Hi all. Watching Baby Luney is like watching a baby trying to crawl!! LOL. That slippery surface sure makes it hard for him to motor!!
He's a little bobble-head!
We are all probably sitting here taking steps for him. He sure is trying.
He just got the poopy skeered out of him with a piece of bamboo! (ME TOO!)
I saw that too, Sharon...thought it was something trying to attack him!
I have lost live feed, anyone else??
Yes, Deb, I have lost it too. :(
Anyone else have live puffins and seals on their RP???
No, I don't, but wish I had something on there!
Somehow it reset on the puffin cam.Which is on reruns... puffin video Lets see if this works...
Nope, that one doesn't work....
I found the puffin cam link puffin cam
It's reruns, but they are cute...
Gobbler Toms at Pix PA
Beards, Spurs and Head Colors !Wattles, I think they are called, all that red wrinkly stuff around the head....
Parts of the Gobbler Head: "beak, caruncle, snood and wattle"Oh Boy - It's Pretty and Ugly at the Same Time....
I used to love to go thorugh the woods and find where turkeys had torn apart the leaves looking for nuts and seeds and plant bulbs. Supposedly they love Spring Beauty Bulbs...can't blame them..Good Afternoon Everyone.Gobble Gobblexo
Eagle back for leftovers at BWO
I had a beautiful little Carolina Wren perched on the window sill of the bedroom window...if he had started to chirp I would have fallen out of bed....For being in the city there are some pretty nice birds here! I can't feed any of them because that would invite the Squirrel back, and he would find a way into the ceiling again.. Then I would lose my mind. What there is left of it.
The leaves are beginning to fall at Pix PA - that will make the turkeys happy...
First freeze of the year could happen here tonight! I hope it does so the grass stops growing.
DEB - Loved your new pictures and the clip of OUR Eagle from last night...Guess I am going to have to get a digital camera, it is getting harder and harder to find the Advantix APS film...sign of the times.
Live feed is back up again :)
Digitals are so easy to use and no wasted film. If the picture doesn't look right, you can just delete it. Next load of laundry is ready for folding. BBL
Yay - thanks for the heads up GLO
DEB - I'll be picking "your all's" brains this week-end for recommendations...then I will need more hardware for the computer to download...guess it's time to enter the 21st Century! xo
CHUBBY BUNS AT PIX PA
The Eagle at BWO sure strikes some Halloweeny poses...
Back again.Been having computer ... or software ... probs this morning.AOL was slow and sticky as h..., and then I lost sound on FireFox and it started locking and carrying on.Whatever it was it seems cured by just shutting down the browsers and deleting all the Internet files.Check ZZ. She's up in her hammock acting like a grown-up eating her grown-up bamboo. Very cute. Our heavy Santa Ana winds have died down and we are actually getting some on-shore winds now, which is sure to help the firefighters get a handle on the infernos of the last couple of days. It's still hot and dry though, which is unusual with the wind off the Pacific. Things are looking up though. Hope you are having a good day.C(°ٿ°)DJim
Thanks, Glo, for the live feed alert!!
I see Lil Lun has passed the 4 lb. mark as of yesterday afternoon, and he's developing like fury too.C(°ٿ°)DJim
Good news on the winds, Jim.
The poor little cub is hanging upside down.
good early evening all you fine eagle friends
glad to see the live feed is up
Good Day to you too, JIM now that I got through Blogger Cop...Thanks for keeping us posted on Nethy...seems like she was going backwards and forwards there for a few days, there was some concern she was not near water or fish! But I guess she is hanging in there... --- I'm heading out for some KID FUN Catch you all later. Enjoy your evenings...xoxo
Wow - Got through the Server Error and Blogger Cop and Here's T-Bird !xoxoxoxoxo
GROUNDHOG IS IN HOG HEAVEN AT PIX PA
Good Afternoon Everyone ( :Love this live feed !!
I thought the problem was my computer, shut everything down and started all over again.
Eagle still hanging out at BWO

Steffi's Report Did you read the latest Catalina Report??Jim
ZZ seems to be nursing now...Anybody know at what age she will be weaned??JIm
had computer problems-just now able to get back on
I'm back from my afternoon shopping excursion with my daughters - Got the 50th anniversary outfit with their help! I have read the comments and will now go put my feet up for an hour before dinner..... BBL
sounds like it maybe the computer problem wasn't on my end
Can't seem to get back on the Atlanta panda cam.Anyone take note that Steve posted new threads at 9:22 pm and 9:22 am?? Maybe good numbers to play if you buy lottery tickets!! LOL.
I saw that too Hedgie = was wondering if it was the real Steve or Robo Steve!Later!
Jim from Tai's growth on DC Zoo information: Five months to one year oldAt five months, the cub trots behind its mother, mimics her while she eats bamboo, and climbs trees. It may sit in a tree by itself for hours. At six months, it has 26 to 28 teeth and begins to eat solids. It will have deciduous teeth at one year of age, and its permanent teeth will start to erupt at this age. It suckles only once or twice a day. It may continue to suckle at eight or nine months old. By age one, it may weigh 50 to 60 pounds.
Lord Blackwater (it looks like him)at BWO platform.
Mits should be working the cam at zooBest close up I ever saw on Cam 1Cam 2 is also very good shot of panda eating bambooYou go Mits!!
I'm checking out for a while. Might be back later.

I am so glad you get to come! It is going to be wonderful to get together, isn't it??
It certainly is! And you cantake my word for it
They turned the lights off of Little Luney but I can still see him all by himself. It is funny to know his sex so soon.Remember how we had to guess onButa Buta........ lol

It is so wonderful to have such great friends. God is too good to me sometimes, I swear!!
I don't know what kind of MIRACLE the Bluefield Sisters were waiting for, but, it looks like they got it!!! WHOOOPPPIII! NOW our group will be nearly complete...come on NORMA, we need you.
We did get our miracle Wanda!! Our friends are our miracles!!
Yep Wanda would be great if Norma was going to be there. Really going to miss her.How was GeeGee?
What ??!!!!! The Bluefield sisters are coming after all:)))woo-hooo!!!!
Dana...went to see GeeGee this morning and she was watering her roses and snipping off old flower heads. She has gotten a MIRACLE too. She has been doing really well for 2 weeks now.
Glad to hear the Bluefield girls will be able to join us!Off to buy up all the cream cheese in the store and make cheesecakes! I lucked out and it's on sale...BBL
Great Wanda so so glad to hear that!!!! I bet that was such a relief for you.
Good evening all. I see you are anxiously waiting for your get together. I envy all of you and wish I could be there too this time. Maybe next year. Looking forward to the one in the spring.
WANDA Glad to hear that your Gee Gee is doing better the last couple of weeks.
I have been anxiously watching Hurricane Ormar off and on today, as Josh and his wife are in St. Lucia. Wondering how close it will come to them. I don't think they will be coming back until Saturday or Sunday. They were going to be there for 12 days.
Great Candy! Bring us some of the Brownies!
JO When are you celebrating your 50 years of marriage? That is wonderful. My hubby and I have only been together for 44. Hope we make it to fifty.
I sure could eat some of that cheesecake you all have been talking about. I have never made that; only brownies.
Did someone say that you were expecting rain up there? It has been hot down here again. Would like to have some cool air so it would feel like fall.
Hi Candy they were calling for rain Saturday. It has changed just going to be cool 50°s. Better than rain..
I know I told Lynn NOT to pitch those name tags she had printed -There just might be a miracle -WHOO HOO!!
Candy - Our 50th is Nov 8 - I often wondered over the past couple years if I would make it but there is less then a month to go! You & hubby will make it also! But be sure to say your prayers every night!
Jo it was 2006 Season that we started watching the nest. When did they first build the nest in the tree? What was the 1st season they had eaglets? I can't remember nor can I find my sheets I had it recorded on.
DANA That sure sounds like very nice weather for your gathering. Are the leaves turning colors up there yet? Nothing down here.
Remember: NCTC HAS A PLENTIFULSUPPLY OF BLACK UMBRELLAS
Oh yes Candy the trees are beautiful here.
Dana - I would need to read on the FWS page or on the Momsters intro.Check that out... Paula said they have had 5 seasons & we have been here for 3.
Panda baby is fast asleep all alone at Atlanta zoo. He is so adorable.
I remember 08 3 eaglets, 07 none, 06 3 eaglets, 05 can't remember, 04 2 or 3 eaglets? I think I read somewhere. Don't know before that yr.
So good to see you on here,Candy. It is wonderful to see my Mom able to move around and tend to her flowers. She is soooo happy and knows that thanks belongs to the Lord.
JO...50yrs for us Jan. 2, 2009. It really doesn't seem possible. They have been wonderful years and hope we have many more. Life has been good to us. And we know who to thank for that.
WANDA The Lord works in mysterious ways; his wonders to perform. I am so glad that she is feeling so much better.
Jo, did you ask Steve if we can park the Eagle Express by the barn...and how long can we leave it there?
We still have your sign, Candy. I guess we will use it again.
WANDA Jan. 2nd was my parents and my husband's parents wedding anniversary. His mother always said that it was ok if we forgot theirs, as long as we forgot my parents. :) The other weirdness is that Josh was born on James' mother's birthday and James and I were in the same hospital at the same time being born 4 days apart. Of course he is the older. :)
Getting close to time for the big debate. Ho Hum. I know Megan is really excited about it. LOL
Wednesday, October 15As the cub gets older and Lun Lun spends more time away from him, we have been working Lun Lun back into some of her “pre-cub” activities. We have had her do some of her basic training behaviors to give her a bit of variety in her day. She also started to allow us to weigh her every day. Luckily for us, the scale is only in the next den over from her, and the process involves her eating leafeater biscuits. We are glad to see her current weight at 101 to 104.5 kg (222.7 to 229.9 lbs), which is a normal range for her. As the cub grows, we will watch Lun Lun’s weight to make sure she is receiving the correct amount of bamboo and biscuits to meet the demand for more milk for the growing cub.The cub’s weight yesterday was 1820.4 grams.Kate RocaCarnivore Keeper II
WANDA Glad to hear you still have the Eagle Express signs. So I might be there with you all after all; the banner. :) When you have the gathering next year, I'll have to make some new ones. I could even have them laminated at our school so they would last longer.
Life has many ironies, Candy. Dana, can I mention our recent family ties?
THAT WOULD BE SUPER, CANDY!!
MITS Thanks for the information on Lun Lun and the new cub. I have the kids at school looking in on them now. They have settled down enough to just look from time to time.
Helen, did I tell you I would be at the Clarion, Friday? I think I did. My mind is not so good this week :)
Ok Out with it DANA and WANDA!
Going to be respectful and watch those two wonderful gentlemen now :)
Fine with me Wanda.
Well, It is getting close to 9pm and I have to be at school at 6:45am, so guess I'll be on my way for today. I hope you all have a wonderful night visiting and get a good night's sleep. Tomorrow brings a new day with new beginnings. Hugs to all
Gene had a brother named Joe (he is 10yrs. deceased) and at one time was married to Dana's sister. So, that would make Dana his sister-in-law. Small world, isn't it?
Good Night, Candy...sleep tight.
Still catching up, but YIPPEE, the Bluefield girls are a-comin'!! That makes me so happy!!! Is Tom making the trip w/ you all?
Wanda and Dana...did you all just figure this relationship out recently??Goodnight, Candy!!
Yes, Wanda, you are already on the list for Friday!

With Mason's upcoming surgery we needto get a lot more candles burning forhim..... Candles for Mason
Mits - 27 children That is a lot of kids..... Did it show that they could affordthem and care for them?
they are on welfare, and food stamps....there are children from rapes, people who did not get abortions, but didn't want them because they were not perfect, or just didn't want them at all....
Sounds like good people, Mits, sad situations those kids have gone thru-glad someone has stepped up to care for them.Gotta lay down- long day tomorrow..nite all...
they have great faith....now one is sick with leukemia....down syndrome children are susceptible to that, unfortunately.
Nite-nite, Megan! Rest well!

Paula, Dana's sister was my Sister-in-Law..not Dana. I know, it's confusing. I did not know about the family ties until a few days ago...what a surprise.
The dog is licking crumbs off my pants...I'm a mess!
Loretta, it really didn't take long to get your kittens to this point. Your "Cat Whisperer" really knows his stuff! Not forgetting your hard work and patience, too.
