Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Them are some fat coons, huh?

magpie said...

I have been watching Pelican Harbor hoping to see those Eagles again that Paula alerted us to about a week ago...right now it looks like a volcano peak !

magpie said...

I did get a capture and just sent it out via Yahoo...Romance should be in the air....but not between the rodent and the ruminant !!! But they sure seem to tolerate each other well...

xo Hi Everyone. One cup of Joe for me and then back to work, homework that it is.

magpie said...

Here is the volcano peak:

Pelican Harbor

magpie said...

It's dark for about ten seconds then it opens up...

More pictures? I must procrastinate on my work and go see !

Costume Lady said...

Those coons look as if they are eating well. Helen sent a photo of 6 or 7 of them last night and they were huge!

Margy...I think you need some rest. Maybe a bowl of split pea soup would help! LOL

magpie said...

WANDA: THAT'S FUNNY!

You could be right...I do need to eat something, have a ham steak and think eggs would go very nicely with it...
Would rather have some BETTY'S RESTAURANT BACON THOUGH !

magpie said...

I'm wondering how close those cams are to each other, and if the buck at the Racoon/Turkey field is the same one that was at the salt lick.
SISSY are you counting the number of points still ?

I think if I read the site I might get the answer to my question...

MITS said...

oh my, did I hear Betty's Bacon...yum:)

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

That does look like a volcano don't it magpie?

magpie said...

Oh, oh, Two bucks !

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Deer moon eyes!!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Pretty good shot of the pandas in SD this evening.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Gonna have to check out Betty's next time we come up. Must be a grant place.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Gonna sign out for the evening. Ya'll sleep tight, see you in the morning lite!!

magpie said...

Night Sissy. Give Mattie and Justin our regards...

Guess I better get back to work...
Man, those PA animals are captivating! There was a twinkly effect like Christmas a minute ago, going to see if I caught it...
xo Catch you folks in a little while.

magpie said...

Yes, I did.

Costume Lady said...

Good Night, Sissy...see you in the morning.

magpie said...

Dinner, or is it breakfast is cooking...just set my minute minder for 50 minutes to remember to say the 9 o'clock prayer. Until it becomes habit like Red on Friday I am afraid I am going to forget the time sometimes.

deb said...

Was the cat from Battson's called a serval??

MITS said...

something like that, Deb.

magpie said...

HI DEB - I know what YOU are working on...can't answer the question...sorry -

deb said...

Ok, that is the name I used. I tried to find a website for Battson's Critters, but no luck so far.

deb said...

It is slow going, Margie. Uploading onto Momsters is taking forever. One picture at a time, grrr!!

Costume Lady said...

Serval Cat is correct, Deb. I think it is from Africa.

deb said...

Thanks, Wanda! I am glad, since I don't know how to change my titles.

MITS said...

Megan, might have their site, know she had the one for the Talon people.

floralgirl said...

Yes, it was a serval cat,and here's the website- Battson wildlife educational services

magpie said...

Like your Avatar, Megan!

deb said...

Thanks, everyone for your help. I quit uploading for a bit. Had to close momster page after every picture to load the next. I'll try again later.

magpie said...

Timer just went off. It's 9 o'clock.
Peace in our Hearts, and Peace in the World.

floralgirl said...

MITS said...

deer gone, wonder if it will wander over to salt lick

MITS said...

it is so dark in Atlanta, you can bearing see little luney moving all around

magpie said...

MITS - Just back-tracked and opened up the Cookie Story... - see I was taken in with millions of others...Story was completely BOGUS: Neiman-Marcus was no villain...back when I got that reproduced copy of the "e-mail" - I hardly knew how to turn a computer on...! THANKS FOR SETTING THE STORY STRAIGHT so I won't waste my time trying the recipe either!

xo

MITS said...

cookie recipe may work, but usually they do not give out real recipes...its like Mrs. Fields, she is not sharing....I have read articles where people think they have figured out famous recipes

MITS said...

raccoons look like little ewoks in the woods with their eyes shining

paula eagleholic said...

Evening, all.

Deb, you can just pick out the best of your pics for the Momsters album. I know it is slow to load...you used to be able to load 5 at once...but only smaller pics...so it's tit for tat.

paula eagleholic said...

I take that back....if you click on add another photo...you can load 5 at once...and to change the decription, just click on your pic, and select edit on the bottom left.

MITS said...

How was your Mom today, Paula?

deb said...

I tried 5 at a time and that didn't work. I will just add a few more. I will put most on my page.

paula eagleholic said...

Mom doing pretty good. They had a special lunch - She ate shrimp for lunch! She ate so many, she didn't even have one bite of dinner!

magpie said...

That sounds good, Paula....
any special occasion there, or just a special lunch because their people are special!
++++++

DEB: enjoyed the new additions to the album. That gyrfalcon is great looking!

paula eagleholic said...

Just a special lunch, Margy.

Great pics Deb. Thanks for adding them.

magpie said...

Well, I just have to try this.

Thanks Paula for the picture! Deb, your "Magpie" is saved so I might rotate them out from time to time...

Caught up on the posts. And going to call it a day. Having trouble w/ many of the cams so maybe this 'puter just wants to go to sleep for the night, too!
Hope everyone has a restful night. Prayers for all.

paula eagleholic said...

Gnite, Lynn.

Hey Magpie, new birdie looks good!

magpie said...

Good Night Hedgie...I have had to clean up and close out the computer about every other day -
Hope you saw some good stuff today though!

xoxo

magpie said...

Thanks, Paula, but just because the Bird is BIGGER I promise it does not mean I will chatter that much more! Going back to work Wednesday night so it will all come to a screeching halt pretty soon anyway.

** Good Night to those heading to the pillows soon.
Peace and Prayers....xoxo **

deb said...

I put up pictures on my page. I am working on a separate album from the train.

magpie said...

By the Way, our last cards for Sgt Ryan Castle need to be in the mail by November 1 !

deb said...

I wish I had kept track of everyone there and made sure to get a picture of each person. All I got was Sharon's back. I am sure I totally missed someone!

magpie said...

Deb, those photos are great! I love the one of Mattie and Sissy! And all the others...Could we talk you into moving to West Virginia?
Nah, I know South Dakota and your people need you there.

Wonderful photos, all of them. And I had never seen the Potomac near NCTC - Nice!

paula eagleholic said...

Deb - your people photos are great...I didn't have my flash on...most of mine are too dark

I'll get mine on here tomorrow night...gotta hit it for tonight...see ya'll tomorrow ... I'm whooped.

deb said...

I am glad Paula suggested going down there. It was beautiful. I had seen the Potomac years ago, but really didn't remember much about it. Then we saw the Potomac again on the train ride, but it was a much different part of the river. Norma said it was low from lack of rain.

magpie said...

GLO has some precious new pictures of Elia today...
MEMA JO: They have WEB CAM with each other...can you relate ?

xo

magpie said...

Good Night Paula...

Yep - it's about time for people to start getting their rest...
It's a good night to snuggle way under the covers!
Hey! I met upstairs puppy today, a White Boxer named Sampson! He has a little brown and white eye patch like the dog in the Little Rascals.
Pretty doggone cute!

OMG! IT'S BIRD GIRL!!!!

Hello everyone, I am indeed still alive! LOL

The last six weeks or so have been extremely stressful and difficult, but I have finally come through the other side more or less unscathed.

Of course I am still a volunteer for Fallen Feathers (Assistant Director and Co-Founder), and still do presentations and so on.

We are working on getting a blog together, which I think I will probably be managing. If (when?) it gets up and running, I will be sure to let y'all know so you can bombard me with comments, too! HAHA

I have not forgotten you, my dear friends all!

As always, I remain

Your Bird Girl

magpie said...

HI BIRD GIRL! - I think most everyone is in Dream Land, but they will fall over when they check the Blog in the morning to see you here....It's always a treat to "see" an "old" Eagle Bud!
I'm new...since May...but have been following your posts on the Momsters emails. Hope things are looking up, and that you can go see the doins' from this past week-end's Open House activities at NCTC. Take Care...

GOOD MORNING TO ALL LYOU SLEEPY HEADS IN FUR AND FEATHER LAND. What a good time you all had this past weekend. Last night I was catching up on the reading. Tonight, I hope to get into the pics. Thanks so much for your running accounts of all the fun and laughter; cheese cake too. I see Jim and Red were there too. :) Hopefully one day, they too will be able to come and meet all you wonderful people.

BW nest is empty of all living things this early. I did see the two eagles in there at school yesterday. Our nest is on the fritz again.

Pa woods empty so far. They sure have the Atlanta Zoo Panda Cam lit up brightly. Just saw Mom walk in, but can't see .....they just turned the cam and I guess Luny is being hugged or fed by mom.
