Morning Suz... Most of us watched her last night til late then the cam went down, so we all went to bed.. i see Dana was up once and checked her... You saw the egg when she got up huh??? exciting news!! Its going on 1/4 til 7 am now and she is setting in the middle of the nest... I am heading back to bed with pain pills on board..lol BBL
Yes Thanks for the pictures great shots of her... WOW it seems so tiny laying there in the nest .. Just know how xcited you are this morning .. smiles Went over to our nest yesterday but no one was home, but was excited to see how much our nest has growen higher... Read the story i put in the guard told me about pullin nest grass.. Contain your self there Suz on the job...lol maybe this is your incentive to finally get that comp up at home???? Yupppp do it
yes back in the earlier blog message from me... Of course i am here had to check on Tai... he is eating bamboo... When i stopped at the guard shack he was very nice n chatty ,, told me that 1 of our eagles came down near the shack and was kind of bouncin up n down n tuggin... he thought it was hurt or something wrong BUT hwen it finalyy took off had a lump og grass in talons for nest lineing.. aint that cool!!! He also lives in the house at the bend of the road... Good friend to have huh??lol wink

Good morning all. Thanks so much Iris for last nights pictures and Suzanne for this morning of Mom and dad Blackwater. I have to go to a Staff meeting first thing today; however, to quote Suzanne There is gonna allways be an eagle to watch now for many many weeks to come. Happy eagle viewing my Friends of Fine Feather !!! Will BLOG/Chat later today.

I sure do hope they get our camera issues worked out before Belle starts laying eggs. Also hope we get a reset this morning.

Ok I am up an seen the egg..seen the pics Lisa put on good takes Suzanne but has she/he been gone too long from the egg. Lord I'm crying here.

Our eagles were off the nest for an hour last year...and it appears they were off the nest again...so don't over worry!

Mits, I couldn't get on the panda cam all day yesterday. I did get to watch Buta most of the day though.
Yes we are really getting a good look at the egg at BW.
One eagle was in Osprey BW in and out didn't have time to post it.
DC cam for Tai is and has for me showed "full capavacity" since yesterday..something not right there.
Maine is "broken" don't know if or when it will be up.
I did email Steve about our cams.
Check your mail for an email soon from me.

Eagle watching this year is taking a different roll for us all I think.
1st our cams still and live have been a disappointment. Thought we still hold fast that they'll get fixed soon ( :
2nd the Florida eagles we aren't use to seeing such acts. Mother nature at work but for us humans watching we take it hard.
3rd our BW eagle nest ( 1 ) lonesome egg all uncovered by a parent. We all are praying Lisa's words are right and the egg will be ok.
Some of us will move on to other cams to fill their hearts. Others will stick with and see the outcome. Each person choosing their own path neither being wrong.

Well hopefully the sun will peek into nest and warm egg.

About the egg sometimes being alone: A parent is likely in the tree watching it, even if we can't see them. Also, incubation is less constant with the first egg, and picks up with the second egg.
And BTW, I'll bet Suz, Dana, Nilla, Glo and Vicky all could use a nap by now!
They were all up pretty early watching the eagle and the egg!

Well we can see 11:42:54 that there is still only one egg. I thought she was working on having the 2nd egg.
Well Eaglet_Momster we have to take the good with the bad if we are going to learn more about Eagles.
BW one egg hoping for more and Mom sits on nest longer.
Florida the 50th day hoping they re-mate and she'll lay fertile eggs.

I wrote Atlanta an ask them to please stop putting all that bamboo covering Mei Lan (Buta Buta) during viewing hours. So we'll see what they do.
