BG, you don't mind if I pray for your healing? Nasty old cold. So sorry you feel badly. I pray you will soon be better. Ah, an open fire. Those, too, were the days growing up when you stood if front of the fireplace (we in southeast Kentucky called them grates). A person was toasty warm on the front and cold on the back. All the heat just went up the "chimney" as we called it. Grew up poor in material things, rich in love. donna

Well, I had written to the zoo, about more corporate sponsers donating, besides CNN, like Coca Cola and Home Depot, 2 major corporations in Atlanta, got no response. Guess CNN wants to hog all the glory and not pay anything more for sound! Never did like that CNN El Cheapos!!

Oh Just finished Garage saling for today. Closing shop at 11 30 am tomorrow and then ut for lunch , home pack it up and call it a deal...Much better day today. Weather is perfect and there are several in the area...lots more customers coming thru,. It was wise to do it again what I thought was 1 day this week, but is going to be 1 1/2 days. Stuff is thinning out great now!!!

Kind of neat shot in Brisbane area, can see the skyline. I don't hink I like them fledging in a high traffic area. probably the end of this cam for me...

Sounds like its just about time to get the Maine eagle cam up and going again. Could one of you send me the link...I don't have that one anymore...was still working much of that time so didn't save it. Maybe it is on the Momster list. Thats where I go to get to Blackwater...round about and sometimes they are gone by the time I get there though LOL..not lately...they have stuck around pretty good and they can't have that nest LOL

I need to fix myself some supper. I'll be back in a little, bUT then not sure what time its on BUT Deal or No Deal is on tonight. Pretty much all I ever watch except HGTV. I don't have cable but I do have skyangel and that is one of their stations...I am really glad. i get that and Hallmark and Hallmark movie for like 12 a month. Thats good becuase without out it I could pretty much sell my TV too.

The Brisbane eyasses are speed draggin their eyasses all over the ledge, and they are often not to be seen on camera. I saw one the other day while Frieda was feeding them cover a couple of yards to the rear between a 10 sec. refreshs!
Saw something out of the ordinary this afternoon when I signed on to Beakspeak at work...an adult eagle...probably the female...was flaked out in the prone position on the Kent nest. I didn't even know the adults did that except in hatching season.
I told you about the one I saw on the same nest a day or two ago...It could have been an adult, but I didn't see any signs of a white head or tail.

Ok Buta Buta and Lun Lun are back 10:14am EST. Mommy is washing her like crazy. Lun Lun walked into 1 room carrying Buta with her. She won't leave her alone !! Lun just walked into another room carrying Buta in her mouth, you can see Buta's bottom hanging and swinging.
Now Lun Lun has settled down to sit.

This week is an away game at Shady Springs, tonight at 7:30. We leave the school at 4:15 this afternoon. We will get back in Bluefield around 11:30 p.m. and have to be at the school at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow for a trip to Sissonville for band competition. Busy weekend!
I have to get my work done by 2 today so I can't do much slacking cause I can't work over any.
Oh, by the way, I saw giraffes, elephants and zebras on the africam last night. I saved a few pictures. It was sooo kewl!

mauley I know what you mean about bats -- they're really neat critters! Don't see them much around here, though, in my neighborhood. One of my colleagues in the rehab world is involved in a bat group, teaching about bats' role in nature and the different kinds, etc. In fact, at the symposium this weekend, there is a bat hike! The neighborhood I used live in back in Denver was all old victorian houses, with attics and such, and there were TONS of bats. Mom and I would go out at dusk and watch them catching bugs...
